I really love this season, this is fun.
I have uni assignments to write, and yet here I am, on this site, because. . . yeah.
I'm going to try and stay constant, but even with all this craziness and quarantine, I still have uni.

After dancing for a while, Stiles and I ended up sitting down on the stairs to catch our breath. Stiles had reached into his pocket and grabbed out his keys so we could use his bottle opener.
I was about to thank him, when I noticed something on them glowing. "Stiles, your mystery key has phosphors on it."
"Huh," he brought the key closer to his face to examine it. "But what are phosphors?"
I laughed, shaking my head, "Did you pay no attention in Harris' class? They're any substance that luminesces. It's in your teeth, your fingernails, laundry detergent, substances that we used in chem. And of course, this," I said as I ran a finger across his lips.
"It reacts to the UV light, which is why it glows."
I went to ask him if he wanted to dance again, when all of a sudden he was on his feet and walking away. Shocked, I followed him.
"Stiles! Where are you going."
His breathing was fast and shaky. "I can't be here right now. I'm sorry, I have to go."
"What's wrong? Maybe I can help?"
"I'm sorry. I'll explain when I can," he said, before running out the door.
I stood in the middle of the dance floor, watching my boyfriend run out the door. What just happened? Did he figure out where the key was from?
With a loud crashing sound, the music came to an abrupt stop.
"Get out!" A voice thundered. I didn't even have to look to know that it was Derek, who was definitely home earlier than planned.
Within seconds every teenager in sight was running out the door. Well, every human teenager. Scott's pack and Kira remained behind.
After everyone else had gone, that just left us and the shadowy figures that had suddenly appeared. They had appeared almost out of nowhere, shadows rising from them as if they were made of darkness itself.
"Guys, they're all looking at me," Aiden told us all nervously.
He was right though. All of these things were staring directly at him. They took a step closer to Aiden, and this gave me a chance to get a better look. They were hooded, with silver mask that had sharp, silver teeth fashioned into them. It was too dark to tell how many of them there were.
"Why are they all looking at me?"
They took another step closer.
"Guys?"
Scott and Derek sprung to action, pouncing on the things. They both clawed at them while the rest of us watched on. Being his brutal self, Derek went up and snapped the neck of one of the attackers.
With a sickening crunch, the thing snapped its neck back into place, face focused towards Derek who stared back in shock.
In one swift movement, it threw Derek into a column. The werewolf collapsed to the ground like a ragdoll.
It turned to Scott walking towards the boy in preparation to attack.
Scott moved faster than Derek, but to no avail. The young Alpha did his best, but the thing hit him square in the chest, causing him to go flying to the ground. He slammed violently into one of the columns.
When I saw him grabbing his ribs in pains, I finally came to my senses. Rushing forward, I went and stood protectively in front of Scott, who was still on the ground.
I held my hands out, drawing my power towards me. Feeling the air twist and contort around me, it felt like it was trying to warn me; 'you still don't have control' 'stop now before it's too late.'
But I was already standing my ground, and I wasn't about to let this thing attack my best friend. Isaac seemed to be taking on the same protective instincts, bringing out his claws as his eyes glowed.
The creature standing before Isaac reached into his chest, twisting its hand before pulling out a sword. It spun it, before wielding it in Isaac's direction.
Isaac took a step back, watching as two of them took Aiden by the arms, and the one with the sword approached the boy.
"Somebody do something," Alison said, still managing to hold Ethan up.
But we were too late. The thing rested its hand on the side of Aiden's head. There was a glowing yellow light, a sizzling sound, and then Aiden collapsed to the floor.
The things then turned back to Scott, who I quickly stood in front of once more. I drew my power in, letting it build in my chest, before I threw it forward. I tried to control it, making it suffocate the things approaching us.
They stopped for a second, watching me, before taking another step. Whatever they were, they didn't rely on oxygen; which left me with the disadvantage. As two of them walked over to Scott, who had stood up to protect Kira, one held a hand up in front of me.
Whatever it was, it was something stopping my abilities, pushing it back onto me. I felt the air leave my lungs as I gasped for air, but was left with emptiness. My knees hit the ground as my fingers grabbed at my throat. Were they going to kill me?
It kept walking, reaching a hand out like it did to Aiden. I couldn't breath and I couldn't stop it from resting its hand on the side of my head. Two eyes began to glow behind the mask, making me feel like I was in a trance. I couldn't look away, it was mesmerising.
As soon as its eyes stopped glowing, I felt like ice water had been injected into my veins. My body crumpled beneath me, beginning to hyperventilate even though it had released its hold on me. Air was trying to travel into my lungs, but my body wouldn't allow it.
Looking up, I saw the thing begin to walk towards Scott also. But then, all of these creatures fade away as sunlight shone into the loft. They didn't just look like darkness, they acted like it too.
As Ethan went to his brother, Isaac ran to be by my side, wrapping his arms around me as he pulled me into his lap. I hadn't just lost control, I'd let someone take it from me.
What was going on with me?
I couldn't piece it together. All I could feel was the ice travelling through my veins and the feel of my lungs shrivelling as I tried not to breath so shallowly. Isaac kept telling me to take deep breaths, but I just couldn't.
Scott's eyes faded to their natural colour, claws and fangs retracting. "What the hell were those things?"
When no one said anything for a moment, Isaac looked over to Alison, who hadn't moved an inch.
"Your dad's twenty-four hours are up."

Derek and Scott dragged one of Derek's couches back into the loft so that Isaac could place me on it. I was curled in a tight ball, my arms wrapped around my legs as I tried to scare away the cold, dark tendrils left behind by that thing.
Scott told me he had called Stiles, and that he would check on me as soon as he could. He left with Alison and Isaac so that they could talk to Mr Argent to try and get an idea of what we were really up against.
"She needs to use her healing," Aiden said, reaching for my arm.
Shivering, I shook my head. "I can't. I don't. . . have control," I managed to get out between breaths.
"What do you mean? You were in control before?" Aiden asked, sounding frustrated.
Personally, I wouldn't call letting that thing use my abilities against me and then attack me 'control'.
"I could hurt you."
"We'll be fine."
Aiden reached for my arm once more, fully prepared to break it, only to be stopped by Derek. "If she doesn't have control, she could draw power right from the air in your lungs." He looked to me this time, "You had control. You almost took out Peter."
My body shuddered as I tried to keep my eyes open, "I don't know. I did have control, but something happened. I wish I knew what."
"Well, you've done it before. You need to do it again, because I can't imagine how we'd explain this to a hospital."
I shook my head, "I just need to wait it out like Lydia did."
The door to the loft flew open as Charlotte ran in, eyes searching for me. When she saw me, she removed her jacket and laid it on me, falling to her knees in front of the couch. "I'm less than a day into knowing all of this, and you've almost already died. Who are these people."
"Charlotte, that's Derek, his uncle was the Alpha until he killed him. And those are the twins, Ethan and Aiden; they used to be a part of the Alpha pack until their joint form got their neck snapped," I filled her in.
"I couldn't possibly have regretted a question more," she said quickly. She then turned to address Derek, "Why isn't she okay like the rest of you?"
He sighed, "She doesn't want to trigger her abilities because she doesn't want to lose control of them. She wants to wait it out."
Charlotte shook her head, "I may not know a lot about the supernatural, but I know some things, and you're clearly in pain. I mean, look at yourself. You need to at least try."
"I can't risk losing control again, Charlotte," I said, pulling her jacket around me tighter.
She was about to say something, when her mouth gaped, "What do you mean again?"
Oops.
"Um, can we talk about this another time?"
"Whatever. But, I mean, shouldn't you at least try. You-"
"I said no," I interrupted firmly. "I just need you to take me home. Please."
She nodded without a word, helping me to my feet. I thanked Derek and the twins for staying with me on the way out. The twins weren't as bad as they seemed after all. Maybe they had a chance at joining Scott's pack.
We got into her car and we drove home, before she helped me inside. We then headed to my room, and she assisted me in getting into bed.
"You really need to be more careful," she sighed as she pulled my blankets up on me.
I couldn't help but laugh at this, "This is, like, one of the least dangerous things that has ever happened to me. Trust me, I'll be fine."
"Alright," She said softly. "Do you want anything? A hot drink? Something to eat?"
"I just need to rest. Thank you though."
She smiled, nodded and then left me to get some sleep. I couldn't explain it, but it felt like they had drained me of energy; I was exhausted.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked at the time as I picked up my mobile. Apparently Charlotte had let me have the day off school, considering we were half-way through the day.
I was thankful for it, I was feeling much better.
I had expected it to be my sister calling, bust was pleasantly surprised to see Melissa's name lighting up my screen.
Hitting the answer button, I held the phone to my ear.
"Hey, Riley, how are you, hon?"
"Melissa, hi, so good to hear from you. I'm good thank you, and yourself?"
"I'm well, but I'm not calling about me," she replied. "Listen, sweetie, I'm at the hospital and Stiles has just come in. I've already told his dad, but I wanted to let you know. He doesn't look like he's in a good place, and I thought he might want you by his side."
"I'll be right there," I said quickly, jumping out of bed and getting clothes out of my closet. "I'll be fifteen minutes."
She said good bye, before hanging up. I threw my phone into my bag and then changed into my clothes as fast as I could, rushing out the door. Running out the door, I got into my car and sped to the hospital, my concern for Stiles overtaking any rational thought.
It didn't take me long to find his room. When I arrived Melissa was walking out of the door and the lights were off. I peered over her shoulder to see that Stiles was in the bed asleep.
"What happened?" I asked her quietly.
She smiled softly as she looked at me, "He's just really sleep-deprived. I've given him a sedative that should keep him asleep for a while. You're more than welcome to stay with him until he wakes up."
"Thank you, Melissa. We're lucky to have you."
"There's no other supernatural teens I'd rather help," she said with a small laugh.
I gave her a quick hug as a thank you, before heading into Stiles' room quietly. Walking over to his bed, my smiled faded as I saw him. His hair was unruly, and he was so pale, the only colour on his face brought by the dark circles beneath his eyes. What was going on with him? There had to be more to this.
I climbed up onto the bed, laying down beside him. I could hear him breathing softly, finally allowing himself the time to slow down.
All I wanted was to get into his head and help him untangle everything that was going on in there. I just wanted to help ease any pain he had.
Hopefully getting some sleep would help.
As I lay beside him, listening to his heartbeat, I felt my eyes flutter shut as I fell asleep also.

When I awoke, I reached for Stiles, but he was nowhere to be found. Curious, I climbed out of the hospital bed and walked into the empty halls in search of the boy.
Where did he go? And why wouldn't he wake me up?
I searched the whole floor, until I finally found him walking with Scott. I ran to him and wrapped my arms around him, sighing in relief. "I was worried you'd left for a moment there," I laughed.
He pulled me tighter to him, his warmth welcoming, "You know I'd never leave you. I need you."
