Sam's Outfit

"Stop elbowing me, Sam!", Dana shouted.

It was the last month of summer, and Schneider paid for a beach vacation for him and I, the Alvarez's, Elena's SO Syd, Dana and her girlfriend Jade, my boyfriend Ethan, Alex's girlfriend Chloe, and Alex's friend Finn.

We were split up in cars, some of us in Schneider's Range Rover, and some of us in Penelope's Honda.

In Schneider's car, he could fit more of us, so it was me, Dana, Ethan, Jade, Alex, Chloe, and Finn. And in Penelope's car, it was her, Lydia, Elena, and Syd.

We rented a house in Malibu, and I was super excited!

I was sitting way in the back, in a seat meant for three people with Dana, Jade, and Ethan.

Things had been awkward between Alex and I since the kiss, but then he met a girl from my dance team named Chloe who he soon started dancing.

And then the first week of freshman year, I'd gotten my braces off and gotten contacts and had had a mini glo-up, and then Ethan, who I'd referred to as "The Cute Boy in Bio" had asked me to homecoming, and we've been dating since.

With Alex and I both dating other people, things have slowly become less awkward between us, but I don't think we'll ever be as close as we once were.

"Ooh! Sam! This is my song!", Dana shouted.

"JOLENE, JOLENE, JOLENE, JOLENE. IM BEGGING OF YOU PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY MAN", Dana and I screamed.

"I don't know how you can listen to that shit", Finn said.

"Shut your face hole. Dolly Parton is a legend", Dana said, staring daggers at Finn.

Chloe laughed, and smiled at Finn.

Schneider turned it up and said, "I love me some Dolly".

"I hate country music, but Jolene is a total bop", Jade said.

"Awwww", Dana said, resting her head on Jade's shoulder.

"You two are so freaking cute, right Ethan?", I said, turning to Ethan.

He was absorbed in his phone and he briefly looked up and said, "Yeah, babe".

The rest of the car ride went by without much arguing, and we soon pulled up to the rental property.

The house was beautiful. It was in Malibu and was a quick walk to the Boardwalk, and it was beachfront.

In fact, it kind of looked like the house from Hannah Montana.

We parked and got out, and Penelope, Lydia, Elena, and Syd were already there, standing in front of the house.

"Damn Schneider. You got us a mansion", Penelope said, walking over to Schneider.

"It's only AirBNb's finest", he said.

"Okay, all the adults get their own rooms. Everyone else will have to bunk with other people. Go in, and get your rooms", Schneider said, turning to us.

I grabbed my suitcase and ran in.

There were three rooms on the second floor that would be for the adults, and upstairs, there were three bedrooms.

Alex, Ethan and Finn already called the gigantic room with three queen beds, so the rest of us would have to fight over the remaining rooms.

There were three twin beds in each room, so we'd have to bunk together.

"No couples sharing rooms!", Penelope called up the stairs.

We'd decided that Jade, Syd, and Chloe would share one room, and Dana, Elena, and I would share the other.

I hate to admit it, but Chloe was kind of insufferable, so I felt bad that Jade and Syd would have to room with her for a week.

I could already tell that this week at the beach would either be great or horrible, and it all depended on how well us kids would get along.
