2) Italy

The next assignment was with the Italian Mafia.

Reyansh landed in Italy and sent a selfie to his Kyra, with the Caption - "I'm in Italy, Amore."

Don of the Famiglia (Italian Mafia) - Raphael Vitellio, was in the middle of a turf war with his cousin and matters had reached an extreme point where he required some external assistance. Who better than the infamous Reyansh Alex Kapoor.

Raphael's father was one of the first people to recognise a teenage Reyansh's potential, and paid him his first ever commission of a 4 figures sum. That sum had given Reyansh more faith and hope in a better future than anything else at that time. It was also used to feed his brother, his landlord Karen and himself a full meal after many days.

Reyansh had helped the former Don and paid him back tenfold with the services he provided over the years. But he still had an affinity towards Raphael's family.

Raphael took over the family business after his father passed recently and he's been struggling to maintain control ever since. His cousin Angelo was eyeing the throne and usurping him at very turn. He was also feeding the secrets of the family and other sensitive material to the enemy.

Recently, Raphael's beloved sister was kidnapped and held hostage and in return they wanted his drug shipments which was worth more than 20 million dollars. The mafia was not as strong as earlier and hence they needed this shipment, to prove their strength and survive in the cutthroat mafia world. Also, most of the creditors were being blackmailed to call in their debts, immediately. The loyal soldiers, loyalty was being tested by the opposition.

Therefore, He reached out to the one person he knew, who could help him out of this conundrum and the only one capable of solving all these problems.

Reyansh was received by the Don at the private airport and he was given all the necessary information. They strategised and came up with a plan of attack. It was going to be executed tomorrow.

The next 3 days were brutal. He hired mercenaries and made a covert plan to rescue her. In a joint effort they were able to save The Don's sister. He then launched a digital attack to decimate the opposition - The Sallini's. He learned that they were not only dealing in dangerous drugs and ammunition, but also were human traffickers.

Reyansh decided to involve the Interpol. He had a contact there and used it to get a deal, in which he would release all the information regarding Angelo and the Sallini's and help take them down in exchange for them to never come after Raphael Vitellio, as long as he started making his Logistics business aboveboard and moved away from the mafia business.

To which, Raphael gladly agreed, the mafia was his father's ambition and never his. The Sallini's and Angelo were taken down in record time and were thrown in jail for the rest of their lives. The innocent humans they had kidnapped were rescued and Reyansh personally helped track down their homes.

All in all, it took over 1 week before he completed his mission in Italy.

On his last night in Italy, he finally relaxed after a brutal week and now he was really missing home. He couldn't help himself and messaged Kyra. After all he had to congratulate her on the good news that Dhruv shared with him.

His intelligent and clever wife had managed to land the business of the biggest real estate developer in India. She signed a contract with him, putting their newly launched, affordable - standardised security system in each and every flat, in all of their future projects.

The initial deal was worth more than 50 million dollars.

He called his Amore and she picked up on the very first ring.

He said, "You owe me a party, Amore."

Kyra laughed and said, "Is that any way to greet your wife, hubby dearest?"

Reyansh laughed and said, "You're right, It isn't. But you do owe me a party, after all you landed the business of Embassy Developers. That's fantastic news and a great achievement. I'm proud of you, my intelligent little wife."

Kyra was overcome with emotions at his praise. She had landed much bigger contracts at Oberoi Empire, but never even received half the amount of praise he had showered her with, from her own family.

She cleared her throat and wiped her misty eyes and said, "Fine, you're forgiven. You really are a smooth talker. I had my heart set on bickering with you and being angry, but you ruined my intentions. Also, FYI the deal was signed 2 days ago."

He replied, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ruin your plans of a Kalesh (Fight). I know the deal was signed a few days ago, and once again I'm sorry that I couldn't call and congratulate you earlier."

Kyra could sense that something was amiss, he didn't sound like his usual self at all and that worried her.

She couldn't help but ask, "Is everything alright, Reyansh? You don't sound like yourself."

He smiled, his wife knew him so well that she could pick up on his emotions from another continent.

Reyansh sighed and said, "It's just been a taxing few days, Princess. So, don't worry, I'm alright. By the way how is it going at home?, tell me something interesting."

She could pick up on the change in topic, but chose to roll with it. She said, "For one, your brother and I, are enjoying ourselves. It honestly feels like I'm at a summer camp. We watch movies, eat all sorts of junk food, stay up late and wake up peacefully at 9am, without anyone to judge us-"

He quickly interrupted her and taunted playfully, "You mean, there is no adult to take responsibility of you both and you are ruining your sleep cycles, also please try to supplement junk food with some nutrition, at least."

She said, "Oh please, Reyansh. If you wanna reprimand us and make sure we take care of our health, you'll have to come back home and do it yourself. So when are you planning to come back........Krish was inquiring about it?"

Reyansh said with a smirk, "So only Krish is concerned about when I'll be back?"

She said coyly, "Yeahhh."

He said, "Okay then, I'll personally message him, since he was the only curious party."

Kyra said in a rush, "No, no. You can tell me and I'll inform him. Don't disturb him by messaging now, with great difficulty I have made him sit to study for his exam tomorrow, while I finish up some office work, side by side."

Reyansh laughed and said, "I must seriously congratulate you now, for achieving the Herculean task of getting him to study. Also, since Krish is not to be disturbed, you can let him know that I'll be back within 2-3 weeks, maximum."

Kyra said, "Okay, will let him know."

They both laughed and let unspoken words be unspoken. Soon, they said their goodbye's.

Reyansh felt much better now, than he had in weeks. She was truly becoming the light and joy of his life.

3) UK

Next day, he headed to the United Kingdom and sent Ryan to deal with a case in South Africa.

His selfie to Kyra was sent with the caption, "I'm in UK, Love."

This mission involved a member of the royal family. The rightful Duchess of Cambridge was supposed to be Elena Alexander. But her far off cousin usurped her title and claimed it for himself, he became the Duke of Cambridge.

Therefore, Elena had hired Reyansh to help her prove that she was the rightful heir and was the great great great great granddaughter of the most influential and powerful, Duke Damien and Duchess Daphne Alexander of Cambridge.

One day, mysteriously a note was left on her desk with Reyansh's number. She inquired about Reyansh and learned that he solved the impossible, she contacted him and here he was to help prove her claim.

He travelled to Cambridge and did the necessary digging, he deep dived for 2 days, and he found some hidden and buried information proving that technically, she may or may not have a legitimate claim.

That night he received a document with the following words, "Elena is the rightful heir to the Title, she is the Duchess of Cambridge. Do not reveal anything you have learnt today, to her. Your service has been solicited to settle the dispute and help her claim, what is rightfully her's. That swine, who is a distant relative is not deserving of the Title."

In the folder containing the document, he also found a precious Emerald. It was very antique, had a royal appearance and was huge. He didn't appreciate being ordered like this, but he decided to help anyway. He decided to attack the cousin and dig up dirt on him, and he found lots of it. He used that to threaten and blackmail the cousin into giving up his claim and to crawl back to wherever he came from.

With no one standing in her path. Elena Alexander was able to claim her title and Reyansh had forged some documents to help secure her claim, prove her heritage, identity and that she was a direct descendant of Duke Damien & Duchess Daphne.

4) USA

a) New York

The next mission was in the United States of America.

He sent a selfie with the caption - "I'm in USA, sweetheart."

This case was regarding a corrupt politician. He spent 3 days and resolved the problem.

b) Los Angeles (LA)

This mission was a personal favour to one of his friends, a renowned and world famous Actor was wrongly accused and imprisoned for a drug charge. He spent a few days and helped prove his innocence.

c) Las Vegas

While he was in LA, his friend Priya (the same one who he had contacted to send the AI program to Kyra, under the pretence to test it. So that he could secretly help Kyra in her wedding planning) contacted him and asked for his help.

Priya was drowning in gambling debts and had overplayed her hand. She heard a rumour that he was in LA. She called and asked for his help because she accidentally gambled the ownership of her company to a player, on a bet. After she lost, that player claimed that it was a legally binding deal and that he was now the owner.

Reyansh was great at numbers, hence he was great at poker and he could easily win her company back. Priya had helped him when he needed help and now he decided to help her.

He challenged that player to a poker game, and as predicted he easily won back her company. Now Priya, was going to get information for him on who owned the rest of the 20% shares, of the Oberoi Empire. She was a queen at finding the hidden details in the business world and following a paper trail to the ends of the Earth.

It had been 3 weeks, since he left home and he had one last mission.

5) Japan

The next mission was close to home and Ryan joined him for this.

He sent a selfie of him eating vegan sushi, with the caption - Konnichiwa Koibito (meaning - Greeting a Lover)

This mission was for the Yakuza (Japanese Mafia).

They had a traitor amongst their midst, and despite all their tactics, they couldn't find him. Therefore they decided to use outside help.

Reyansh and Ryan spent 3 days to find the traitor. After that they were handsomely rewarded.

Just as Reyansh was planning to head back home. Ryan informed him that an Oligarch's (Russian Billionaire) wife and 1 year old special son were missing from 2 days and he was extremely worried about them. He was willing to pay triple their usual fee to help locate and safely bring them back.

Reyansh wanted to go home to his family, but a woman and child was missing and they could be in danger. So he decided to extend his trip by a few more days to help out.

They decided to head back to Russia.

6) Russia

He sent a selfie with the same caption as earlier - "I'm in Russia, Malyshka. Also, this is my last mission and I'm heading back home after this."

Kyra in her excitement of reading this, sent a gif of a cartoon character jumping up and down, with the words eagerly awaiting. The moment she realised that, she was a little embarrassed and was going to delete it, when a message popped, "Don't you dare delete this, Malyshka. It's adorable, as are you and I too am jumping like this at the thought of returning home, to all of you."

It's true what they say - Distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Reyansh realised how much he missed Kyra and he was ready or rather dying to confess his feelings to her. Kyra too realised that she deeply missed him these past few weeks and she couldn't wait to jump into his arms. She was trying to gain courage and confidence to declare her love for him.

After meeting the Oligarch. They started their search for her, Ryan digitally tracked her down, she was a 3 hour plane ride away with a secret identity in a small town. They went to bring the mother-son duo back. After meeting her they realised that she purposely ran away because her husband was abusing her and he despised their son who was a child with special needs. She begged them to not reveal her location to him.

She just wanted to live safely with her son, far away from her husband.

Reyansh's humanity made him promise to help her stay incognito. Ryan on the other hand was angry. From him all that mattered was a pay check and he wanted to take her back to her husband and collect the bounty. He and Reyansh severely fought on what was to be done.

Seeing Ryan's greed and lack of humanity, Reyansh put his foot down and ordered Ryan to leave Russia. Unwillingly, with bitter rage and pure hatred, Ryan left.

Knowing that this matter was far from over, and that the Oligarch would never let his wife be in peace, as long as he thought she was alive. Reyansh decided to orchestrate a fake death. He arranged for 2 bodies from a morgue which resembled a woman and small child. He decided to burn the cabin to the ground and plant fake DNA.

Reyansh then helped the wife and her child escape from Russia and put them on a flight to USA, where she had family who could help her.

The oligarch happened to reach that location and discover his family's death. Reyansh's plan was foolproof and the oligarch couldn't prove otherwise.

He paid Reyansh his fee and left. Reyansh transferred some of that amount to the family whose dead bodies he used, some to the people who helped arrange this covert operation and most of it he put in a secret account and sent the details of it, to the Oligarch's Wife. He did not pay Ryan for this mission as his behaviour was unacceptable. He planned to deal with him later.

All in all, Reyansh had earned a very huge sum over this past month. Along with the missions, he would also do remote work for some of his clients. Finally, he decided that he was done and was going to go home. But due to an untimely blizzard, all the airports were shut in Russia and he had to wait for a day or two, to return back to his family.
