Reyansh

I was up at 5am, and the first thing I did, was to check on the kittens, thankfully they were still asleep.

My small family of 2, had now grown to a large family of 5. 👫🏻🧍🏻😸😸

I spent the next hour gymming and once I was back, I started getting ready for the day. It was only 6:30 am and Kyra would be sound asleep. Krish was yet to return from his friend's house. I found myself back at the Kittens lair.
My little Lily started stretching and looked like she was about to wake up. While the orange menace was sound asleep.

It seems like Lily is her father's daughter (kitten), and Romeo is his Mother's son (kitten).

I gently picked up Lily and took her with me, to get some food. I placed her on the cat heating pad in a basket in the kitchen with a little kitty snack and then started preparing some food for the humans. She was more than happy to eat and watch me curiously.

I couldn't believe how much things had changed. My only motivation and strict schedule was Work, Krish's wellbeing, Revenge. But now I was a Cat Dad, a husband, a brother and I, was more content with my life now, than I've been in more than a decade.

But, things were going to change soon, I needed to take high value International contracts to earn huge sums of money, so that, I could purchase additional shares in the Oberoi Empire. Much more than half of my finances/resources were depleted in purchasing the 15% stake and I had earmarked most of the remaining funds to purchase the 5% stake from Tanya Oberoi. That deal would be finalised soon enough.

I had earlier denied most of the International contracts because, I needed to be here for Krish, I couldn't leave him alone for months on months. But now he had Kyra and the kittens as well. Also, my marriage to Kyra was a top priority and I had to be here, to ensure that it happened. Now that all the above things were sorted, I had to leave asap.

It was 7:00 am, when Krish was finally back home and he immediately went to get ready for college while, I lifted the now awake Romeo and placed him with Lily in a cat bed, while I set up the Cat habitat in the Living room.

Once done, I placed the Kittens in their new habitat and gave them their breakfast. I then decided to spend the next 30mins working, when Kyra came bustling out of her room at 7:30 am. She practically ran past me with a quick Good Morning and entered the kitten habitat and showered them with hugs, kisses and sweet words, (well mostly to Romeo as, Lily still hadn't fully accepted Kyra).

I stood by and watched them, when Kyra was finally done, I said accusingly, "Wow, A simple 'good morning' to the husband and all the hugs and kisses for the Kitten's."

I seemed to love riling Kyra up, and it was so easy. She actually looked embarrassed and came towards me and quickly hugged me and then she had a devious glint in her eyes, when she said, "Gooood Morning, Darling. I slept very well last night, how about you? Did you have Sweet dreams?"

I smirked and said, "The sweetest dreams.....

Krish, the third wheel, the cockblocker, choose that exact moment to come into the living room and loudly asked,  "Where is my niece and nephew?"

Perplexed, I said, "Who?"

He replied in an exasperated tone, "Bhaiya, My godchildren."

Kyra immediately ran up to to him and dragged him towards the enclosure and said, "Here, this sweet angel boy is my son - Romeo and the uppity, daddy's girl is Lily, your brother's daughter."

I chimed in and said, "Hey, she is not uppity, she's just a delicate little flower."

Kyra knowingly smiled at Krish and he laughed. I rolled my eyes.

He then went to pet the kittens and he started with Romeo, who was apprehensive initially, but allowed Krish to pet him twice before moving back. Krish accepted Romeo's boundaries and went towards Lily, for the first time perhaps in my life, I felt possessive about my kitten. I always gave Krish, everything I had, without blinking an eye.

Krish gently reached out towards Lily and she allowed him to pet her and she even came closer to him and nuzzled his hand, before moving back to Romeo. I was actually glad that she accepted him, it would be easier for all of them, when I was travelling abroad.

Kyra exclaimed, "Look at that, Lily is a man lover and a woman hater. She has not allowed me to touch her, at all." She then turned to Lily and jokingly chided, "Lily you are not being a Girl's Girl."

Krish said with a laugh, "So basically, the boy cat loves girls and the girl cat loves boys."

I rolled my eyes again and went to heat up the breakfast, while they were still chatting. I heard Krish tell Kyra, "Bhabhi, the girl cat should've been named Juliet. It's a missed opportunity. Romeo and Juliet would've been perfect names, for them."

Before Kyra could respond, I screamed from the kitchen, "I love the name Lily and I'm not going to change it."

Kyra said something and Krish burst out laughing. What she said, was too soft for me to hear. But I smiled nonetheless,  at their happiness and bond.

Once the table was set, I called them.

Kyra came with a accusing glint in her eyes, "You've already made breakfast, I wanted to cook for us today. What time do you even wake up in the mornings?"

I said with a smirk, "Princess, breakfast was ready at 6:45am and I wake up at 5:00am."

She exclaimed with a shocked expression, "I have married a freak, who the hell wakes up so early in the morning? My god, I've married an early riser."

I said indignantly, "I'm not a freak, it's recommended and considered to be good for your mental and physical health to wake up, before the sun rises."

Krish chimed in, "I agree with you Bhabhi, Bhaiya wakes up at an ungodly hour. It's so freaking early. If I didn't have college, you wouldn't find me awake before 10:30-11:00am. Thank god I have some support now."

They shared a sympathetic look.

I rolled my eyes and said, "Fine, since you late risers are forming an alliance, then from now onwards, Kyra it's your responsibility to wake Krish up on the weekends, but fair warning, it's no less tough and difficult, than an Olympic sport."

Kyra patted Krish's hand and said, "Reyansh, You are exaggerating, but I Gladly will."

The rest of the breakfast passed by talking and swapping stories. Kyra had gotten up once and opened the main door and then came back and resumed breakfast.

At 8:15 am, Krish jumped up and said, "I'll be late, if I don't leave now, bye Bhaiya and Bhabhi."

Kyra immediately said, "Don't you need your car keys?"

I watched their interaction silently.

Krish said, "I don't have a car bhabhi, I own a bike and I have the keys to my bike, with me."

Kyra said, "As I said, You will need the keys to the Car. They are on the coffee table, go check."

Krish ran to the living room, screamed excitedly and came running back and hugged Kyra. The box was open and it had the keys to an Audi. He said, "Bhabhi you got me an Audi, why? Thank you so much, but - how, why and when?

She indulgently smiled at him and said, "Yesterday you mentioned, how you always wanted the Red Audi A4. So, I decided to special order it and it was just delivered, now. This is a return gift for my Birthday yesterday and is not returnable. You deserve it, Krish."

She got up and they hugged again.

Krish looked towards me and asked, "Bhaiya, may I please keep the car?"

I said, "A car worth more than 50Lakhs (5 Million), as a return gift, is too much."

Kyra immediately said, "Reyansh, am I not a part of your family?,Do I not have a right to spoil my brother, as I see fit?"

I couldn't refute what she said, and acquiesced.

Krish jumped up excitedly and said, "Thank you so so much, you are the bestest Bhabhi in the whole wide world, I love you. I will leave for college now, but in the evening we'll test Drive the car and you are going to be my first passenger Princess, Bhabhi."

With that Krish was gone.

I couldn't help but tease her, when I asked, "No return gift for your Hubby?"

She smiled and said before walking off, "All in good time. Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait."

That little minx had used my dialogue on me.

I got ready to go to the office and was about to place the kittens in the cat carrier when, Kyra came all dressed for work and asked sweetly, "Can I come to your office with you, today?"

I didn't see a reason as to why not, so, I said, "Sure, you are most welcome to accompany me."

All 4 of us then proceeded, to my office.
