Audrianna's POV

I was up at Junk N' Stuff with Gooch and Henry. We were moving a gigantic rock from outer space.

Henry started to move some stuff away.

"No, no. Move all those things to the side." Gooch instructed

"Alright, alright."

Charlotte walked in the store "Hey, you guys."

"Sup' Charlotte?" I greeted

"Hey." Henry greeted

"You're late for work." Gooch reprimanded

"It's not my fault, there was a line at The Corn Doggery." Charlotte reasoned

"You got us corn dogs?" Henry's face immediately lit up

"Yeah, dude."

Henry each grabbed a corn dog.

"This is not corn dog time." Gooch said as me and Henry put back our corn dogs

"Okay, give me a corn dog." He smiled as Charlotte handed him a corn dog as I took a bite of mine.

"So, what is all this?" she gestured to the large crane and the space rock

"That is a big rock." I gestured to the rock

"From outer space." Gooch added

"No, I mean what's this crane for?"

"To move the rock, it weighs over seven thousand pounds." I explained

"Wow. Can I borrow this crane to move my big Uncle Rosco? Because he's been on our couch since Christmas." Charlotte said as I furrowed my eyebrows

Gooch looked like he was having a hard time with the controls "Darn it. Which one of these controls makes the--"

Before Gooch could finish, the crane accidentally let go of the rock, causing it to crash all the way down.

A loud thud could be heard which made us all flinch.

Another loud thud was heard which made us flinch again.

Henry turned to Gooch "You dropped the rock."

'Wow, that thing is gonna fall all the way down to the Man Cave." Charlotte said as my eyes widen in realization

"Dad!"

"Ray!"

Henry immediately called my dad on his phone.

"Hey, I can't talk. I'm hula-sizing with Leilani."

"Dad! There's a seven thousand pound space rock on its way down there!"

"There's a what on its way down where?"

Before we could hear anything else, we heard a loud thud. Guess we're too late.

"Ray? You there?" Henry asked

"What happened?"

"I don't know." I answered

"Ray, a very heavy rock is about to crash through your ceiling." Henry explained

"Yeah, thanks for the heads up." my dad said in a raspy voice as me and Henry shrugged

Henry and Charlotte came out of the elevator.

"Ray, what's wrong?"

"Shh!"

"Shhh!"

"How come you guys are--" Charlotte got interrupted by Henry shushing her

"Why are you shushing me?"

"I don't know, they started it." Henry gestured to us

"Will you two be quiet?" I whisper-yelled

"We have a situation." Gooch explained

"What's going on?"

My dad started doing weird gestures and I smacked the back of his head, signaling him to stop.

"Okay, you're gonna have to use your words." Charlotte said

"Look at the space rock." I pointed to the rock which had a slimy purple trail coming out of it.

"What the jack happened?" Charlotte questioned

"It hatched." Gooch answered

"What do you mean it hatched? It's a rock. Rocks don't hatch. Do rocks hatch?" Henry turned to Charlotte

"No. Eggs hatch." Charlotte answered

"So.. the space rock was really a space egg?" Henry asks

"Yeah. And last night, it hatched and something crawled out of it." I said

"Well, where'd it go?" Henry wonder

"We don't know." Gooch anxiously answered

"But it left that purple slime trail." my dad gestured to the trail of slime

"So, you're saying that some creature from outer space crawled out of that egg rock and now it's somewhere around here, but you don't know where it is?" Charlotte questioned

"That's right." I answered while my dad and Gooch nodded in agreement

"Okay, then." Charlotte grabbed her bag and walked under one of the tubes "Up the tube."

Henry turned back to us "So, she's gone."

Then we heard some squeaking.

"Oh, I hear it. Gooch, turn off all non-essential equipment." my dad said

"Right."

The lights turned off and I felt something big holding onto me.

"Oh my god, something's squeezing me!"

Gooch turned the lights back on "And Henry's gone!"

"I'm right here." Henry said

"What the freak!?"

I frantically threw him off my body.

"Alright, this is stupid. We don't need to be afraid."

"Easy for you to say."

"Yeah, you're indestructible." I remarked

"No creature is going to hurt you." Henry agreed with me

"Oh yeah? what if it crawls up my leg I don't need some alien thing all up in there." my dad said, making me look at him weirdly

"So, what do we do?" Henry asks

"I think if we just calmly search the Man Cave--" my dad got cut off by the creature's squeaking

We all frantically ran around the Man Cave, trying to find a way out. My dad, Henry, and I crashed into each other as we made our way to the tubes.

I wrapped my arms around Henry's waist as we all screamed "Up the tube!"

I was hanging out with Henry and Charlotte at Henry's house. Henry was on the phone talking to my dad.

"Yeah, yeah, she's here at my house. Dri, your dad wants to know why you aren't at home."

"I'm not going back there until somebody catches that creature and gets rid of it."

"Well, where will you sleep?"

I shrugged. Hopefully I can sleep at his house, on his bed-- I'll stop.

"Well, don't you want to see it?" Charlotte asks

"Yeah, I want to see it. I want to see it dead."

Henry put the phone back on his ear "She says she's not coming back home until we catch the.. you know what. Yeah. Women do be crazy."

"We heard that."

"Hey, I left my backpack down in the.. oh, you did?" Henry turned to Piper "Hey, Piper!"

"What."

"A guy I work with says he dropped my backpack off here."

"Yeah, mom has it. Stop bothering me!" Piper put her earphones on

"Yeah, I got it, thanks. Okay, later." Henry hung up the phone and walked up to Charlotte.

"So did you--" Henry whispered "Did you find out anything about the space rock or egg or whatever?"

"Yeah, and I'm worried." Charlotte replied

"About?" I question

"What if that was just the first alien space rock egg? What if more come and then the aliens take over Earth and use us humans as food?" Charlotte answers

"That will never happen." Henry reassures

"Why not?"

"Because.. if they're aliens who traveled here, that means they'd have to be highly intelligent. And highly intelligent creatures wouldn't eat other living creatures." Henry took a bite of his chicken

Charlotte and I looked at Henry, unamused.

"Wouldn't they?" I asked sarcastically

Henry took a minute before finally processing what he just said and immediately threw his chicken on the table "Oh my God."

Jasper barged in Henry's house. He seemed happy about something.

"Oh yeah, oh yeah, I am the golden boy!" Jasper beamed

"Showtime." Piper said to herself

"What are you all pumped up about?" Henry asked

"Yeah, Jasper. What's up?" Piper says in her unsual sweet voice

"You guys know my latest bucket podcast?"

"Yeah?" Henry said

"100,007 downloads!" Jasper grinned

"No way!" I smiled widely

"No!" Piper said in a sweet tone. Something smells fishy.

"That many people downloaded your podcast?" Henry asked

"Yes, sir!"

"And what's the most you've ever gotten before?" I asked

"Seven." my curved smile turned into a straight line

"Wow, that's really great. I bet this success makes you feel so much better about yourself as a person." Piper smiled sweetly. Yep. She did something.

"It does!" Jasper stood up "Later, I'm gonna go to my grandma's house and I'm going to say, 'Hey grandma, who's useless now?'."

"Good for you Jasp." Henry smiled

"Thanks. Hey, can I go up to your room and record a special thank you message for my fans?"

"Sure."

"Thanks." he ran up to Henry's room

"Way to go,  Jasper! You're a rockstar!" Piper encouraged

"That's how I feel!"

"Ha!"

"She did something.." Charlotte pointed out

"Piper.." Henry called out to her

"Yeah?"

"What'd you do?"

"Okay. Okay. I went on a website and for ten bucks I bought Jasper 100,000 fake downloads." Piper admitted

"Well why would you do that?"

"To get him all happy and excited so later I can crush him."

"That's cruel." I shook my head

"Okay, that's a really mean thing to--" Henry got cut off by his mom's horrific screams

"Mom?"

"Where's the bug spray!?"

Mrs. Hart ran frantically to the kitchen "I need a bug spray and a baseball bat."

Henry ran to his mom "Mom. Mom. Mom. What's wrong?

"I was down in the basement washing your backpack because it was all sticky inside-- Oh hi Charlotte, hi, Audrianna. And there was this bug or maybe it was a rat, whatever it was, it jumped on me and landed on my shoulder."

Henry touched the slimy goo on his mom's shoulder and immediately realized

"Uh-oh." mg eyes widened

"Wha.. I got to go next door and borrow some bug spray and maybe a shotgun." Mrs. Hart ran out the door

"My backpack. The creature must've crawled in my backpack at work." Henry whispered to me and Charlotte

"And now it's here.." I said

"What are you guys talking about?" Piper chimed in

"Nothing." Henry said

"You're nothing!"

"Ouch." I chuckled

"We got to find that creature. Come down to the basement with me." Henry said

"I got a better idea." Charlotte chimed in

"What?"

Charlotte immediately bolted out the door.

"So.." Henry sat down "She's gone."

I felt the sharp pain in my head again. I didn't want to worry Henry so I knew I had to get out of there or find somewhere to hide.

"Can I use your bathroom real quick?" I questioned

"Sure."

"Thanks." I walked quickly into the bathroom and locked the door

I sat down in front of the door. Trying to take my mind off the burning pain.

Out of all the times this has happened, this one was the most painful.

My breath hitched and next thing you know it, I couldn't breathe.

I started coughing and when I looked up at my hand, it was covered in blood.

A million thoughts raced in my head. Did I just cough up blood? Am I going to die now? What's going on with me?

I had two options.

A) Fess up to Henry and my dad about what's been going on to me for the past few days.

Or

B) Suck it up.

I easily made the decision.

I stood up and washed the blood off my hands and left the bathroom only to see Mrs. Hart on the couch with Mr. Hart wearing an exterminator uniform.

"Oh, honey would you get down from there?" I heard Mr. Hart say before I walked up to Henry

"I'l come down after you show me its dead lifeless body!"

"Why are you so scared of a bug?"

"It's not just a bug! It's a huge icky creature thing!"

"Ladies be crazy."

Wow. Like father like son I guess.

"Ehh, sometimes ladies be making sense." Henry disagreed

"Just go kill it." Mrs. Hart demanded

"Alright, I'm going. Two X chromosomes." Mr. Hart went downstairs to the basement

Henry grabbed my arm and dragged me behind the counter as he called my dad on his whiz watch.

"Ray. Ray."

"Hey Henry and Audrianna, I can't talk. Gooch and I are still looking for the creature."

"Yeah, I don't think you're going to find it." I objected

"Why not?"

"Because it's in my house!"

"What?"

"Gooch dropped my backpack off here and I guess it was inside."

"Did you see the creature?"

"No, but it jumped on my mom."

"Oh man, is your mom okay?"

"Yeah, she's alright."

"Because she is one fine-looking lady."

I'm disgusted.

"Ray! Will you just--" Henry got cut off by his dad's screams

"What? What happened? Did you see the bug?" Mrs. Hart asks

"Yep."

"Well, did you kill it?"

"Nope."

I turned back to my dad "You better get over here."

Henry ended the call and ran up to his mom and dad.

"Where's the exterminator?!" Mrs. Hart asked frantically

"I don't know. Henry, just go down to the basement and kill that thing."

"Oh, you're gonna send me down there!?"

"Are you crazy!? We are not sending our son to do battle with some dangerous freaky rat-bug."

"You're right. Audrianna you kill the thing."

"Pass." I said with no hesitation

The doorbell rang and Henry got off the couch to answer it "I got it."

He opened the door and Captain Man was there??

"Hi."

"Hey, what are you--"

"Just play along." Captain Man walked in his house "Hello, citizens of Swellview."

"Oh my god, it's Captain Man." Mrs. Hart exclaimed

"In our house." Mr. Hart took his goggles off

"What are you doing here?"

"Well, sometimes I go around to various neighborhoods in Swellview taking.. surveys."

"Surveys?"

"Oh yeah, I heard about that on the news." I played along

"You guys mind taking a survey?"

"Not at all."

"Go ahead."

"Great! Question one, how often do you participate in surveys? A, often, B, rarely, or C, this is my first survey."

"I think this is our first survey." Mrs. Hart said

"I think it is." Mr. Hart agreed.

"Uhm, Captain Man?"

"Yes, boy?"

"Since you just happen to be here, maybe you can help us out with a problem?"

"Problem?"

"Yeah. We got a big scary bug down in our basement!" Mrs. Hart gestured to the basement

"A scary bug, huh?" my dad pulled out a blaster "Well, what do you say I take this down to your basement and teach that bug some manners?"

Henry's parents nodded amusingly.

"That sound good to you, pretty lady?"

Mrs. Hart nodded "It does."

"Yeah, it does." he repeated

"So, good luck Captain Man." I shooed him off

"Right." Captain Man ran down to the basement

"I hope he kills that bug." Mrs. Hart blurted out

"Yeah. Then we could finish that survey." Mr. Hart agreed

"Right."

Henry and I both looked at them weirdly.

"Eat laser, slime beast!" I heard Captain Man yell

I heard more blasting sounds as me and Henry ran to the couch.

"You picked the wrong planet to hatch on! I got you!"

We all ran frantically around the couch, trying to dodge the laser shots.

"Oh my God, you're not dead."

Screams filled the house along with laser blasts.

"No, don't bite me there!" I heard Captain Man yell as we kept dodging the lasers

We saw Captain Man run out of the basement, panting. But he changed his expression to a seductive one when he saw Mrs. Hart "Hey."

"Hi." Mrs. Hart greeted

"Did you kill the creature thing?" I asked

"Uh, almost. Did you guys see it crawl up here?"

"Up here!?"

"What!?"

"You lost it!?" I exclaimed

"No, no. But it crawled into your air conditioning vent."

We all looked up.

"I think it might be headed up to the roof." Captain Man added "You people wait here." he opened the door

"Captain Man!"

"Yes?"

"After you kill the thing, are we going to finish the survey?" Mrs. Hart asked innocently

"Oh, yeah." Captain Man said in a seductive tone

"Go away!" I exclaimed

"Will you go kill it!?" Henry shooed him off

"Right."

Piper frantically ran down the stairs "It's on my face! It's on my face!!" she screamed before running out the door

Captain Man followed her downstairs "Everything's under control. Little girl! Stop running so I can shoot it off your face!"

"He'll probably just shoot it off her face." Henry reassured

Next thing I heard was zapping and screaming.

"I got ya!" I heard Captain Man exclaim

He and Piper walked back inside.

Piper's hair was all messy and her clothed were covered in ashes.

"Well, the creature chewed up her cheek a little, but she's okay!"

"I am not okay!!" Piper objected

"Oh Piper, don't be a drama queen." Mrs. Hart walked up to her

"Seriously." Mr. Hart agreed

"What about the creature?" I asked "Did you kill it?"

"Oh, I think so. I shot him with this thing nine times and it crawled under a bush to die." my dad smirked "I don't think that creature will bother anyone ever again."

I was sleeping in my room but suddenly I jolted up from a nightmare.

I noticed my breathing was unstable and I went to the bathroom to try to get the nightmare off my head.

The nightmare involved me, becoming evil. Which resulted in me, murdering Henry and my dad.

The memory of me coughing up blood filled up my thoughts again as I looked at myself in horror.

Seriously! What is going on with me!?

I changed my clothes and decided to go to Henry's house.

I knocked on his window as he opened it.

"Hey, Dri."

"Why are you still awake?" I ask

"I was doing homework." He replied

"Can I come in..?"

"Sure.."

Henry helped me in his room and he sat down on the couch and patted the seat next to him, signaling for me to sit down.

"So, what's wrong? Why are you at my house at this time?"

"Couldn't sleep." I lied

"Alright.."

There was an akward silence between us before Henry finally spoke up.

"Are you okay, Audrianna?"

"Yeah.."

"You're not.. you passed out a few days ago.. and I noticed you've been acting weird lately.."

"I'm just tired. Nothing else."

"Sure.."

After that, we started talking about random things. Turns out me and Henry had actually had alot in common. It was nice finally having a chat with him that wasn't work-related or anything. It feels nice being with him. With him, I feel.. safe.

My eyes started to get heavy and I slowly started to doze off.

Henry's POV

I felt Audrianna's head on my shoulder. I looked down to see that she was asleep.

She looked so peaceful, it was actually kinda cute.

I have to admit, I kind of like Audrianna. But she definitely doesn't like me back. Right? That would be insane.

I slowly start to fall asleep too.
