Audrianna's POV

It had been a week since I last saw my mother. I was still shaken up by the fact she actually abandonned me and EXPOSED me.

I was at Henry's house and me, Henry, and Charlotte were playing a video game.  Well-- Charlotte was more on cheering for me. I kept losing because my focus just kept on going onto random things.

"Here I come." Henry threatened

"No you don't." I threatened back

"Here I come."

"No you don't."

"Go Dria! Beat Henry!" Charlotte cheered for me

"I'm gonna get you!" Henry threatened again

"No you won't!" I focused on the game

Jasper walks in the house "Hey guys, you gotta check this out."

"Quiet!" I scolded

"We're playing a game." Henry explained

"No problem. I'll take over your screen." Jasper swiped his pear pad which made the news turn on

"Hey!"

"Woah, whoa, whoa!"

"Come on man!"

"Just watch the video." he instructed

Henry sighed "What video?"

"It's from the news, last night. It's called 'Captain Man's big fail.' " My eyes widened as me and Henry looked at each other nervously

"Ooh, play it." Charlotte said

"Uh, Hey, look." Henry lifted his shirt. "My belly button."

I facepalmed myself.

Henry's a great guy and all, but he's horrible at making excuses.

"Play the video." Charlotte went on as Jasper turned on the video.

"We're live in downtown Swellview where the Phone Shark has struck again. This time the Phone Shark bit through a dozen people's cell phones, then fled the scene once again, escaping capture from Captain Man."

Henry and I looked at each other, concerned for Captain Man

"Captain Man, isn't it true that the Phone Shark has been attacking people's phones for over a year now?" the news reporter faced the mic towards Captain Man

"Yes, that is true." l

"So, why don't you catch him?"

"Well, Kid Danger, Danger Girl, and I have been trying."

"But you keep failing. Doesn't that bug you?"

"Wow. I've never wanted to punch a person so much in my life before." I gritted through my teeth

"Yes." Captain Man agreed with the reporter

"Aw.. I feel bad for Captain Man.." Charlotte chimed in

"It's not Captain Man's fault. He just needs better sidekicks." Jasper protested

Me and Henry looked at Jasper with annoyance.

"One more time?" Henry said

"Just saying, I'd be way better at catching bad guys than Kid Danger and Danger Girl." he scoffed

And.. that's where I lost it.

My eye twitched in anger as I slammed my juice cup on the coffee table.

Henry huffed "You couldn't catch butt warts."

"Oh yes he could. Remember fifth grade?" Charlotte reminded him

"That was a rash. Big difference." Jasper protested as I stood up from the couch

"Whatever. I think Kid Danger and Danger Girl do a great job." I defended

"Why are you and Henry getting all mad?" Charlotte asked

"Because Jasper's being unfair." I explained

"And we think it's unfair to criticize that- Kid Danger and Danger Girl when they're probably doing the best they can." Henry added

"And people should be fair, you know?" I agreed "Fairness. I'm pro fair." I pouted and sat back on the couch

Piper walks in "Jasper."

"What?"

"Get up."

"Why should I?"

"Cause, you're going to carry me to my friend Marla's house."

"I'm not going to carry you. I ain't no horse."

"Fine. Then I'll just upload this video so the whole world can see it." Piper threatened

"Video of what?" Charlotte asked

"Him.. trying to sing 'the cup song.' "

"I never did that! Why would I do that? I never did that!" Jasper protested

"Watch." Piper put on the video of Jasper singing "the cup song"

"I got my ticket for the long way round." Jasper sang in a high pitched girly voice "Two bott- Dang it."

We all laughed uncontrollably except Jasper.

"I'll never be pitch perfect."

"Okay, stop it. Turn it off. Turn it off." Jasper demanded as Piper turned off the video

"Where did you get that wig?" Charlotte asked

"You don't need to know." Jasper protested

"How did you get that video?" Henry inquired

"She must've swiped my thumbdrive." Jasper explained

"Maybe I did." Piper agreed

"Ooh. You're so bad." Jasper said

"Piper you better not put that video online." Henry ordered

"Oh, I won't. As long as he carries me to Marla's house." Piper threatened.

"No."

"i gOT mY tIckEt fOr tHe lOnG wAy rOuNd." Piper mocked

"Okay, fine." Jasper stood up "Get on my back" Jasper bent down "Get on me."

"If he goes too slow just kick him in the side." I instructed

"No. Ow!" Jasper yelled when Piper kicked him in the side

"Hyah!" Piper exclaimed and we all laughed

Me and Henry's watches start beeping .

"Yeah, I've been meaning to ask you two, why do your new watches beep like that?"

"It just means they need us at work. Bye." I dragged Henry out the door

"But it's Sunday! Junk N' Stuff is closed." Charlotte reasoned

Henry turned around "Right. I better go tell the customers." we ran out the door

Me and Henry snuck into his house. I was gonna drop him off and then leave.

Once we climbed in the window the lights turned on and.. Charlotte was there.

"You two are home late."

"What are you.. how did you get in my house?"

"Why are you here?" I asked

"Because I'm suspicious."

"Of what?"

"Why did you guys climb in Henry's window?" Charlotte stepped closer to us

"Uh.. because the front door was locked and Henry forgot his key." I reasoned

"You know your parents always leave a spare key under the mat." she confronted

Henry stood there akwardly before finally speaking "I like your shirt."

"Where have you two been?" Charlotte asked

I feel like a kid being confronted by my mom because I snuck out with my boyfriend.

And that is not a good feeling.

"Working. You know, just working." I reasoned

"Really? Cause I called Junk N' Stuff. Nobody answered."

"Okay. You wanna know where we've been?" Henry gave up and my eyes widened

"Yeah." Charlotte agreed

"You want the truth?"

"Yeah."

"We're jazz musicians." Henry reasoned. He's so bad at making excuses I swear..

"But doesn't Audrianna hate jazz?"

He ignored her "We don't tell alot of people. But secretly, We play jazz." Henry pointed to me

"And the only time the jazz clubs are open is late at night." I explained "So that's where we were, at a jazz club."

"Blowing jazz. On our horns." Henry added

Charlotte sniffed Henry's hair.

"Why'd you sniff my hair?"

"I heard on the news tonight that Captain Man, Kid Danger, and Danger Girl put out a fire at a syrup factory." Charlotte explained

"Did they?" I asked

"Yeah. And your hair smell like syrup."

Me and Henry sniffed our hair.

"It does. I wonder why." I lied

"Maybe because you two are Kid Danger and Danger Girl." My eyes widened after Charlotte said that

Henry and I laughed nervously.

"Kid Da- I wish. That would be nice" Henry chuckled nervously

"Me? Danger Girl? That chick is way hotter than me!" I reasoned

"And I guess you must be Beyoncé." Henry said

Charlotte stood up "Dria, Henry.."

Henry sighed "Okay. This is really big. What I'm about to tell you."

"What, that you're Kid Danger and Danger Girl?" Charlotte teased

"Shut up!" we both exclaimed

"Just.. just." Henry peeked his head out his room to see if anyone was listening before he went back inside and locked his door.

"We're Kid Danger and Danger Girl." Henry exposed. I just know for a fact I'm gonna get grounded for this.

"I know. I figured that out." Charlotte explained

"Just promise us you'll never tell anyone!" I exclaimed

"I promise."

"No, you don't understand." he put his hands on Charlotte's shoulders "I took an oath that I'd never tell anyone that we're Captain Man's sidekicks."

"I swear, I'm never gonna tell."

Me and Henry both sighed in relief.

"Thank you."

"Can I tell Jasper?"

"No! Wha..?"

Me and Henry got out of the elevator and walked up to my dad nervously.

My dad was watching the news while eating.. noodles?

Henry cleared his throat "Ray..?"

"Henry. I didn't know you were working today. Did I butt beep the both of you?"

"No. Uh.." I smiled nervously

"Can we talk to you about something?" he walked up to my dad

"No you cannot date my daughter!" my dad covered his ears

"Aww man." I sighed

"It's not about that." Henry reassured

"Oh. Whew." My dad said in relief "What's up?"

"Uhm. You know my friend Charlotte?"

"Yeah?" he turned back to the monitor

"Yeah, well. She's like really smart. And uh, she.. kinda figured out.." I walked around nervously

"Figured out what? my dad asked

"That, um. I'm Kid Danger and Audrianna is Danger Girl." Henry chuckled nervously

"Isn't that kooky?" I smiled nervously

"Yeah. What did you tell her?"

"That we are. Kid Danger and Danger girl." he said nervously

"Ohhhhh. Interesting" my dad nodded.

Boy. He does not look happy.

"You're not mad, right?"

"Mad? No."

Me and Henry chuckled "cool."

My dad's smile turned into a serious expression "You're fired. Audrianna you're grounded." he said as he stood up

"Fired?"

"Grounded?"

"That's right. You can leave your watches on the table there."

"Dad! You can't fire Henry! Swellview needs Kid Danger!"

"Well, Kid Danger AND Danger Girl told someone about their identities. Looks like it's just Captain Man."

"What!?"

"But we swear we didn't want to tell her!" Henry reasoned "She figured it out."

"Henry. Audrianna. Both of you took an oath."

"I know, but.." I trailed off

"You promised me you wouldn't tell anyone. And I trusted the both of you to keep that promise."

My dad walked down the stairs "When trust is broken, it can never be fixed.."

"Yes it can." I protested

He grabbed a fortune cookie out of a box "Open this cookie and read the fortune."

Henry opened the fortune cookie and took out the piece of paper inside.

"When trust is broken it can never be fixed." we both read as we both looked up at my dad

"Let's not argue with the Chinese. Goodbye, Henry. Audrianna, go to your room." my dad walked in the sprocket

I looked at Henry sadly as we both took off our watches and placed it on the table.

"I guess this is goodbye Dri.."

I hugged Henry tightly "We'll see each other soon, right?"

"I hope so.."

I let go of Henry as he slowly walked to the elevator and we waved each other goodbye.

I got a call from Henry to come meet him and Charlotte in Swellview Park. I didn't ask any questions because I was really desperate to see Henry so I sneaked out of my room and saw my dad and Leilani having ukulele lessons again, so I rushed into the elevator and went to Swellview Park.

I saw Charlotte and Henry hiding behind a bench and I immediately ran up to them

"Henry!" I whisper yelled as I hugged Henry tightly

"I'm so glad you could make it Dri."

"Sup Char." I smiled at Charlotte who seemed to be smirking at me and Henry

"So what's going on?" Henry changed the topic

"Check out that guy standing by the groom." Charlotte said as I grabbed her binoculars

"The guy with the crazy teeth?" I asked

"Yeah. He's the Phone Shark." Charlotte revealed

"Whoa. That does look like him." Henry grabbed the binoculars from me

"It is him." Charlotte reassured

"Now, do Captain Man a favor and go catch the Phone Shark."

Henry and I hesitated.

"Kid Danger and Danger Girl."

We got our gumballs and popped it in our mouths.

"What up with the gum?" Charlotte asked

We hid behind a tent "Anybody watching?"

"No, Why?"

Henry and I blew the gum which transformed us into Kid Danger and Danger Girl.

"Whoa. How does that whole costume fit inside one little gum ball?" Charlotte asked

"Believe me, I've been asking myself the same question for nine years." I said

"Just.. just wait there, all right?" Kid Danger and I ran out from behind the tent.

"And now, do thee Shirley, take he, Claude. To be your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health, in fitness and obesity, as long as you both can stand it?" the pastor asked as me and Kid Danger slowly sneaked up to the Phone Shark.

"I do."

"Hey, congratulations!" I yelled out as the crowd gasped at me and Kid Danger's presence.

"Uh, young woman.. this wedding isn't over." the pastor said

"We know. We just wanted to show that hairless guy my brand new phone." Kid Danger pulled out his phone "That's never been bitten."

The Phone Shark licked his lips in temptation.

"Come on, yeah you know you want to bite it." Kid Danger and I stepped closer to the Phone Shark

"C'mon, yeah." he sniffed the phone "Mmm! Gotta love that new phone smell."

"C'mon!" I yelled

"Give it to me!" said the Phone Shark

"Catch it!" Kid Danger threw the phone up in the air and the Phone Shark immediately went for it which gave me the advantage to get on his back and tackle him.

"Give me the phone!!" the Phone Shark yelled

"He's the Phone Shark!!" the crowd exclaimed before they all ran away

The Phone Shark spun me around which caused me to knock down the bride.

He snarled which caused everyone to back away from him.

"Hey! Come on!" Kid Danger yelled "C'mon Phone Shark! C'mon, come and get it!"

The Phone Shark immediately ran up to us but Kid Danger and I ducked so instead, he landed on a bunch of wedding gifts.

"Phone Shark down! Go Kid Danger and Danger Girl!" a man cheered as the crowd all cheered for us

"Kid Danger and Danger Girl, how were you able to locate and finally apprehend the Phone Shark?" the news reporter asked

"Well, we'd love to take all the credit, but it was really our boss, Captain Man, who made it all happen."

"Interesting. Could you tell us more?"

"No." I responded

My dad paused the video and turned to Kid Danger and I.

"You gave me all the credit.."

"Well, everyone's been giving you a hard time about not catching the Phone Shark."

"We figured we'd help you out." Henry added

"Uh, excuse me." Charlotte interrupted us and we all turned to her "I'm the one who found the Phone Shark."

"It's true, she did." I agreed

My dad groaned "Charlotte, Charlotte. Charlotte." he stood up "What am I going to do with you?"

"Uh, I think it's pretty obvious," Charlotte stood up from her chair

"What's that?"

"Give me a job here."

We all looked at each other.

"You guys need me."

"First, I wanna know how you found the Phone Shark." my dad said

"Well, I figured no guy with normal teeth can bite through a phone, right?"

"Okay."

"So, I started calling every dentist in Swellview until I found one who told me he had a patient who asked for a whole mouthful of titanium teeth."

My dad smacked his hand "We should've called some dentists."

"Totally should've." Kid Danger agreed and I rolled my eyes at them

"Then I hacked into the dentist's computer files, got the guy's name, and searched him online."

"Oh, we should've gone online!" Captain Man realized

"What is wrong with us?" Kid Danger added

"Alot of things." I mumbled to myself

"Oh, and his last update said, "Off to my brother's wedding in Swellview Park. Hope they serve phones for desert. LOL."

"And then she called me." Kid Danger explained

"She's good." My dad said

"She is." Kid Danger and I agreed

He nudged my dad's arm "She could really help us out around here."

"Us?" my dad asked

"Oh right. You fired me."

"And you grounded me."

"Well, you broke the oath."

"And we caught the Phone Shark."

"Come on, dad, hire Henry back and unground me.." I pleaded

"All right, you're re-hired and you're no longer grounded." my dad gave in and me and Henry ran up to hug him

Charlotte cleared her throat "cough, cough, cough."

We let go of my dad "Oh right. And what are you going to do about Charlotte?" I asked

My dad groaned "Well, she knows you're Danger Girl. She knows Henry is Kid Danger." my dad walked around Charlotte "She knows who I am. She knows where the Man Cave is because you brought her down here."

"So, what does that mean?" Charlotte asked

"That we either have to kill you, erase your brain, or give you a job."

"I vote job." Charlotte raised her hand

"We can really erase her brain?" Kid Danger asked

"Dude!"

"All right, she can have a job here."

"Awesome."

"If!" my dad yelled which made us all flinch "She can pass the pickle test."

Bork screwed a jar of pickles shut.

"Thanks Bork, now grunt and exit." my dad demanded

Bork grunted and exited the room.

"Charlotte, you must now prove you're clever enough to work for Captain Man."

"Uh, I found the Phone Shark." Charlotte said

"Well, anyone could do that." my dad said

"Not you three." Charlotte looked at us

"Hey, you know what--"

"Geez, who hurt you today?"

"Okay, let's not go there again."

"Now, to prove your worthiness, you must get that pickle out of that jar that Bork just power-screwed shut."

"How much time does she have?" I asked

"Exactly five min--" my dad got cut off by glass shattering

"Here's your pickle." Charlotte handed my dad the pickle

My dad took the pickle.

"That was Bork's favorite jar.." I said

"Wait, is Charlotte hired?" Kid Danger beamed

"Yeah, yeah, she's hired."

We all exclaimed.

Kid Danger looked at the tubes "Wait you want to see something cool?

"Yeah." Charlotte agreed as we all ran to the tubes

I put my arms around Kid Danger's waist as we ran under our tube and Charlotte ran to my dad's.

He pressed his belt buckle and both of the tubes came down, encasing us.

"Up the tube!" I yelled as we got shot up and Charlotte screamed
