Audrianna's POV

I was lying on my bed watching a random show that came on TV.

I've been avoiding Henry lately, especially after seeing him attempt to flirt with Thunder Girl. That just makes me weird.

I don't even know anymore. Does Henry like me? Does he not? He's giving me mixed signals.

I mean, second he's being flirty with me, then the next he's flirting with another girl.

A beep on my phone snapped me out of my thoughts as I quickly pulled out my phone.

This is probably a bad idea..

What's the worse that could happen?

I got out of my room and sneaked out to the elevator.

I arrived at Swellview Park and saw William standing by a lamp post.

"What's so important that you want to meet up with me at eleven p.m.?" I huffed, walking closer to the boy

"I want to make everything right again, Audrianna."

"Look, I don't want anything to do with you, okay? I was stupid for falling in love with you two days after we met."

"Dri.."

"Don't call me that."

"Audrianna."

"I really don't want to be with you.." I slowly backed away

"Audrianna.." William grabbed my wrist tightly "Please.. give me a chance."

"Get away from me, you psycho!" I tried to get away from his grasp

"Give me a chance!"

"No!"

He bashed my head against a lamp post.

"Ow!" I yelled "Let go of me!"

My breath grew shaky as I got out of his grip, then I started running like hell. I just kept running and running until my legs were about to give out.

I didn't even know where I was going at this point.

I looked up and saw Henry's house just a few blocks down.

No other choice. Can't go back now. I climbed up the tree and knocked on Henry's window.

"Dri..?"

"Hi."

"Y-You're bleeding.."

I quickly wipe off the blood coming from my head "I'm fine.."

"You're not fine. Where have you been?"

"Hey, hey.." he put his hands on my shoulder "What's wrong?"

No response. I stared at him in silence as I tried to muster up the words to say.

"Okay, jokes aside. You know you can tell me anything."

"Audrianna."

"Dri.."

"Dri what are you not telling me!?" Henry raised his voice "You're bleeding and you refuse to tell me why! That just makes me ten times more concerned for you!"

"Why the hell are you even yelling!?" I choked through my words

"Why am I yelling at you? Because I love you!"

"Dri.. I love you, okay? I always have. And I love you so dang much.. God," Henry sighed and looked up "I love you so damn much that it hurts. Every. Single. Freaking day, I get so scared that you will fall out of love with me eventually. That you'll start thinking that we will never happen because I flirt with other girls.."

"Henry.. I--"

"I've always been in love with you.. But then Bianca happened and.. after a while, I- l- didn't know anymore.. I thought that by flirting with other girls, I'd get my mind off of you, because deep down I didn't think we could ever happen.. I mean, Ray would kill me."

"Look, since you don't want to tell me why you're bleeding then fine. Just tell me when you're ready." he sighed in frustration "Let's get you cleaned up.."

Henry left the room before coming back with first-aid-kit.

"You- you don't have to.." I shook my head in hesitation

"I want to." he snapped back before making me sit down on his bed. This might sting a bit." he started dabbing my wounds with the cotton ball and I hissed in pain

"Sorry, sorry. Did that hurt?"

"Of course it did, dumbass."

"Alright, sorry. I'll go slower." he chuckled lightly

Once he finished tending my wounds he sat next to me on his bed "Do you feel better now?"

"Mhm.."

Henry smiled softly "Good.."

There was a comfortable silence between us. I enjoyed Henry's company. And now that I know that he feels the same way for me I feel way less depressed now.

"Hey, how about this? I'll make you a nice dinner tomorrow night and we can have a little date?"

"A date? Really?"

"Mhm. My parents are going out with my little sister Piper tomorrow night for a dentist's appointment. So it'd just be you and me." Henry stated, the wide smile never leaving his face

I laughed lightly before furrowing my eyebrows "Wait- why are your parents taking Piper to the dentist at night?"

"No idea." he shook his head in confusion, which made me laugh a bit harder

"Okay, I'll go on a date with you." I smiled cheekily

"Seriously? You're actually agreeing to going on a date with me?"

"You better not make me regret it."

"I won't, I won't! Promise."

Henry opened the door to his front porch, smiling at me softly "Hey.. you look really great.."

"That's cheesy." I grinned fondly at the boy

"Oh, come on. It's like you're allergic to cheesy stuff." he scoffed teasingly

I chuckled "Are you gonna let me in, or are you gonna say more cheesy stuff?"

The boy chuckled, gently opening the door wider for me to enter.

"So, how are the meatballs?" Henry looked up at me with a hopeful expression

"They're surprisingly really good.. what else can you cook?" 

"..does oatmeal count?"

I huffed in surprise "Really? You can't cook anything else other than great meatballs and oatmeal?"

"I can fry an egg." he beamed, making me chuckled

Henry chuckled along with me before clearing his throat "So, I actually have a surprise for you.. I know you love musicals, and.. I really want to impress you, so.."

He pressed a button on a remote and the song "Did I Mention?" started playing as he got on his knees in front of me.

"Oh my God.." I tried to stifle in a laugh

"♪︎ Did I mention, that I'm in love with you--"

"No, no, no, no! My God, Henry. Don't sing." I chuckled

"Is my singing that bad?" he scoffed teasingly

"No! Just-" I knelt down next to him "I think it's great that you want to impress me, but you really don't have to.. I'm happy enough that I get to spend my night with you, you don't need to try and impress me.."

"Really?" a small blush crept on his face

"Really.. this date has been amazing.."

"..will you be my girlfriend?"

My eyes grew wide "Woah there."

"I'm so sorry- I did not mean for that to slip out--"

"No! No, no, no, no, I-I just got caught off guard--"

"I'm so sorry if I scared you--"

"It's okay- I.. I would love to be your girlfriend.."

"I-" Henry stared at me in bewilderment "Are you serious? Because that would be great, I would love to be your boyfriend, because you're a really nice girl, and you're pretty, you're really smart and bossy, but in a good way, and I love how your eyes twinkle in the sunlight with you even noticing and- are you sure you still want to date me?" he paused his rambling

I grinned widely "I am."

"Cool, because that's a horrible mistake." Henry chuckled "Wow.. so, I guess we're boyfriend and girlfriend now.."

"Yeah.." I sighed softly "Were you seriously going to sing for me?"

"Shut up, I don't wanna talk about that anymore!" he grinned at me as I laughed harder
