Audrianna's POV

I was snooping around the storage room when I found a black box with a label on it. The label read "Property of Stella Theodora Manchester. Do not open."

I thought for a second before quickly making up my mind "I'm opening it."

I opened the box and inside were a bunch of clothes and knick-knacks who I assume were from my mom.

One of them was a picture of my mom.

She was beautiful. And I looked exactly like her.

In the photo she was carrying me. I was happily smiling in her arms.

I wiped the single tear from my eyes and immediately stood up with the picture in my hands "Dad!"

I saw my dad, sitting in front of the monitors while Henry was sitting down on the couch.

"You're wrong Henry. Pineapple most definitely belongs on pizza." my dad argued

"No it does no- oh, hey Dri." Henry greeted me

"Hey, muffin. Where were you?" My dad asked

"I was just looking around the storage room."

"What's in your hand?"

"Nothing. Just nothing." I lied

I forgot to mention, my dad HATES it when I bring up my mom. I have no idea why but he just does. Maybe because he keeps telling me how my mom "abandonned" me. My mom would never do that. I mean, look how happy we both were in the picture.

That does not look like a mom who would abandon their child does it!? No!

"C'mon muffin, just show me." my dad tried to take the picture

"No!" I quickly moved the picture away.

My dad was taken aback by my sudden outburst.

"C'mon muffin.. what are you hiding from me?"

"Nothing!"

"Okay. Gimme that." he snatched the picture

I tried to get it back but he was too tall and he kept pushing my face away. So no luck.

"Where'd you find this picture." my dad asked angrily "You opened the box didn't you?"

"Yes, dad." I admitted

"What part of 'Property of Stella Theodora Manchester. Do not open.' do you not get!?"

"So what? So what if I opened it? It's just a picture of me and mom why are you so mad!?"

"Do you know what your mom did to you?"

"Ugh, not this again."

"Audrianna Manchester." my dad gritted through his teeth "Your mother abandonned you!"

"No she did not!"

"Yes she did!"

"No! She died! Why can't you accept that!? Why do you have to make her look so bad!? She's already dead!"

"She's not dead!"

"Then prove it!"

...

"What?"

"I said prove it. Prove to me that mom isn't dead."

"Fine. You know what? I'll call her right now."

My dad picked up his phone and dialed a number, which made my eyes widen.

Someone picked up the phone and I was in complete shock.

"Hello, Raymond." the lady said

My dad gritted through his teeth "Hello, Stella."

"Why are you calling me after thirteen years."

"Invite her over." I demanded

"Meet us for dinner. I'll send you the address later."

"Why should I?"

"I'd like you to meet someone."

"Fine. Be there at seven." The lady hung up the phone

"There. You believe me now?"

"No, no no no. No.. I-I saw.. I saw her die! She was lying dead.. on- on the f- on the floor.."

"She faked her death, Audrianna."

"I'd like to hear that from her."

"Uhm, just a reminder. I'm still here." Henry chimed it

I ignored him and stormed off to my room.

THIRD PERSON POV

Ray and Audrianna arrived at the restaurant.

Audrianna was staring into nothingness as she and Ray were waiting for Stella to show up.

"Muffin?" the man made Audrianna snap out of her daydream as a blonde woman walked in.

Ray stood up "Stella."

"Ray."

Audrianna stood up from her chair and made eye contact with the lady.

"Audrianna." Stella's eyes widened

"Hi." she cleared her throat awkwardly

"It's me. Your mother.."

Ray noticed that Audrianna was getting anxious and decides to change the topic "How about we all take a seat?"

"Hello, Audrianna." Stella greeted her, placing her chin against the palm of her hand.

No response.

"Audrianna." she repeated a bit louder

Audrianna was breathing heavily. She was definitely in shock to see her mother for the first time. Did she really abandonned her?

"Audrianna!" Stella yelled

"Don't yell at my daughter." Ray gritted through his teeth

"She's our daughter Raymond."

Audrianna tried to stay calm but couldn't. She was having another one of her anxiety attacks again and Ray could notice.

"So your crummy father Ray, didn't tell you?"

"I did. She wouldn't listen. She thought you died." Ray chimed in

"Oh, Audrianna. You were always a stubborn and bratty kid." Stella criticized her

"What did you just say about her?"

"I'm her mother. I would know how she behaves. She's stubborn. Like her father." Stella looked at Ray with a smirk

"So, I heard Audrianna takes online classes with a private tutor?" Stella tried to change the topic

"Yes. She does." Ray agreed

"It must be hard to for her to learn. Especially with her.. disorder?"

Audrianna's eyes widened.

"W-What disorder."

"Oh sweetie, I think you forgot. From what I remember. You have ADD and OCD right?"

"Wait- I have what?" her gaze diverted to her father as he gave her an apologetic look.

"Audrianna.." Stella smiled as tears welled in Audrianna's eyes

"I had OCD and ADD and you never told me?" Audrianna turned to her dad

"It slipped out when we got married. I'm sorry muffin.." Ray frowned. Anyone could see the guilt in his eyes.

"How is everyone surprised? I know Audrianna keeps alot of secrets. Gets it from her father."

"You bitch.." Audrianna muttered

"Excuse me? What did you just say young lady!? Where did you get this attitude?"

Audrianna stood up "Maybe i got my bitchy attitude from my bitchy mom." she stormed out the restaurant. Tears endlessly streaming down her eyes.

Stella only looked at her with an evil smirk.

"Dria! Wait!" Ray tried to stop her but failed

"I don't see why she's overreacting."

He stood up, earning a few stares from other people "Overreacting!? You crushed her! She just found out her mother abandonned her and now you expose her!? What kind of a mother is that?!"

"Well, I'm sorry you raised such a crybaby Raymond."

"You have no right to speak to her like that!" Ray stormed out of the restaurant as well

He saw Audrianna, sitting on the staircase.

"Dria.."

No response.

"Audrianna.."

Also no response.

Ray held her in his arms as she cried into his shirt

"I'm sorry.." Audrianna muffled

"You have nothing to be sorry about.. I should be sorry for not telling you.."

"Thanks you.."

"Muffin.. I'm so sorry. Really, I am."

"It's okay.. she had the right to know.. she's my mother anyways.."

"Yeah. But she doesn't have the right to expose you like that."

"Well.. life is a bitch."

"Language."

"Sorry." Audrianna chuckled lightly, making Ray smile
