I frantically looked back at my phone and tried to call Charlotte "Charlotte, Charlotte, Charlotte pick up the damn phone!"

Charlotte finally picked up the call "What's up?"

"Okay, you remember how yesterday after me and Henry were densitized you and Schwoz asked us if we had any side effects and we said 'No, we didn't have any side effects.'?"

"Yeah?"

"I think I have a side effect."

Charlotte groaned "I knew it! Henry called me this morning with the same problem. So what side effect do you have? Did you grow eyeballs out your butt?"

"No!" I felt my butt "No, no!"

"Then what side effect do you have?"

"When I laugh, fire comes out of my mouth."

"That's crazy!"

"What's Henry's side effect?"

"He didn't tell me."

"Kay. I'll wait for you and Henry at Junk N' Stuff then?"

"Yep."

"Bye."

"Bye."

I hung up the phone and took a deep breath "I hate this."

I walked inside Junk N' Stuff with Henry and Charlotte.

"Hey, Ray."

"Hi, Ray."

"Sup, dad."

"'Hey, Ray, Hi, Ray, Sup, dad'? That's all you guys are gonna say? You don't see this gigantic canon?"

"Oh, hey canon."

"Hi, canon."

"Sup, canon."

"C'mon! Look at this baby!"

"Yeah, it's a.."

"I guess it's.."

"This is just like the canon that fired the first shot in the battle of Swellview." my dad beamed

He sighed "Just imagine this canon going BOOM! The enemy was probably all 'Ahhhhh! And I bet people watching were like 'Whaaaaaat?'."

"Where'd you get this thing?" Charlotte asks

"That vintage weapon store that ran out of business." my dad answered

"Oh, Always Loaded?"

"Yeah."

"Kay, Ray. Me and Dri gotta talk to you" Henry began

"Yeah, we really got to talk to you." I added

"Alright, first flip the close sign open will you?" my dad commanded

"Yeah, sure." I ran to the door and flipped the sign

"Hey, what's this chain for?" Charlotte asked

"I don't know, let me see." my dad tugged on the chain and a canon launched, hitting Henry.

"Henry!" my dad stood up and sprinted to him "Kid!"

Charlotte and I glanced at each other.

My dad picked up the canon ball "Stupid canon ball! You killed my friend!!" he threw the ball and it broke a lamp shade

My dad kneeled down on the floor and cried until Henry sat upright "Wow."

he perked up "How can you be talking..?" my dad stood up "And living.."

"Cause.." Henry stood up "I'm fine."

"You can't be fine- y-you just took a canon ball to the gut at point blank range!"

"Yeah."

"Henry..did you.." my dad turned to me and grabbed a drill before pointing it at my arm

"Ow." I said as my dad lifted my sleeve up

My dad turned back to Henry and punched him in the face.

"Ow."

"You're.. you guys are..indestructible.." he said

"Surpriiiiiise..." We all said awkwardly

"We did it yesterday." I stated

"A- what?" my dad turned to me, smiling "And it worked? That's amazing! no side effects?"

"Ehhhhhh..." Henry and I nervously looked away

Schwoz was scanning me and Henry's bodies "Okay, I'm ready to test them."

"Let's go."

"Finally." my dad stood up "So. Are Henry and Dria fully indestructible?"

"Oh yeah, they are." Schwoz answered

"Or else your canon ball would've killed me."

"And there would've been a hole in my arm."

"I know." my dad chuckled "We lucked out of those didn't we?"

"So- what about Henry and Dria laughing fire?" Charlotte chimed in

"That's what I'm going to test right now." Schwoz said "Now, Dria, Henry. Sit still and watch me and Ray."

"What are we doing?" my dad approached Schwoz

"Come, come." Schwoz lifted up a bowl of guacamole and sniffed it "Aww darn it. My Schwozamole smells funky."

"Really? Here, let me smell it." my dad sniffed the guacamole but Schwoz dunked his head inside causing for me and Henry to laugh

"Schwoz!" my dad yelled

Fire came out of me and Henry's mouths.

I breathed heavily "What the fu-"

Schwoz ran up to the monitor "Okay. when the machine made Dria and Henry indestructible, it also mutated their throat muscles and that's why fire now shoots from their mouths when they laugh."

"Well..awesome!" my dad exclaimed

"What?"

"Dude!"

"How is this awesome?"

"Because! Now, whenever we fight bad guys, if one of them pulls a weapon all they gotta do is be all 'hahahaha.'." my dad imitated an explosion sound "The bad guys will be like 'Ahhhh! My face is melting, why did I commit this crime!?' and I'll be like 'Exactly.'."

"Haha. Yeah, but what if I'm out with a guy and I laugh and then he's all 'Ahh! No, why did I go out with this girl shooting fire at my face!'." I said as Schwoz released me and Henry from the chairs

"She's right. Guys do not like that." Henry said

"W- I mean, what do we do?" I ask

"Well maybe I could make some technical adjustments to the densitizer machine.." Schwoz said

"Ooh, so that Henry and Dria could stay indestructible but not laugh fire?" Charlotte chimed in

"Okay, uh. Who is Schwoz? Uh, you?" Schwoz asked

"No?"

"Then maybe, you let me say the Schwoz things. How about that?" he spat out

"Okay, let's all just go check out the densitizer to see if Schwoz can figure out a way--"

"Oh wait, hang on a sec." Henry pulled out his phone to answer a call "Hey, dad what's up?"

"Where are you? It's almost dinner time."

"Ohhh, dinner."

We all signaled Henry "no"

"You can't go out to dinner with your family." Charlotte whispered

"What if you laugh?" I whisper

"Uhh, you know dad. I'm kind of stuck at work so I don't think I'm gonna be able t--"

"Henry, if you're not at home for dinner at exactly 20 more minutes, I'll tell your mother you said she smells bad." Mr. Hart threatened

"What? I never said that about mom."

"Hey, honey. Guess what Henry just said about you."

"Okay! I'm on my way." Henry hung up the phone

I dipped a chip on my dad's face which was covered in guacamole.

"Kay, guys I gotta go home but as soon as I'm done with dinner we gotta.." Henry stopped when he saw me dip a chip on my dad's face

I stared at him weirdly before eating the chip.

"Don't judge me." I dipped another chip on my dad's face

"Goggles on." Schwoz commanded as we all pull down our goggles

"C'mon, are we gonna start this test or not?" my dad crossed his arms

"Yah, here we go. Voosh, veek, vizzle!" Schwoz pushed the lever and the densitizer started powering up

The other machines started sparking and exploding.

"Disengage!" Schwoz yelled

I turned off a few buttons.

"So how'd it go?" my dad asked sarcastically as Schwoz glared at him

"What went wrong?" Charlotte asked

"He tried to run too much power through this thing." I gestured to Schwoz

"Well I need some kind of conductor to connect the particle densitizer to the molecular transducer." Schwoz explained

"Dude, there's nothing in Swellview that'll conduct that much power without melting and burning out." I said

"Well don't you think I know that!?" Schwoz lashed out

"Wait- hang on, don't human beings conduct electricity?" Charlotte asked "Their bodies?"

"Well, sure." Schwoz said

"Yeah, but if we try to use a human being to try to connect the particle densitizer to the molecular transducer the person will be fried like a Mexican fish stick." my dad explained

"Uh.." I walked up to my dad "Not if that person were.. indestructible." I nudged his arm

Me, Schwoz, and Charlotte smirked at him.

"So- you sure this is going to fix our fire laughing problem..?" I ask

"Ehhh. Pretty sure." Schwoz answered

"But we won't be indestructible anymore?" Henry asks

"We don't know."

"Well, then before we do this.. Hen?" I turn to him

"Yeah?"

I tapped my cheek "One time. Just in case it's my last chance."

"Sure." Henry kissed my cheek

"What the hell!? What are you doing?"

I'm not actually complaining.

"What? You tapped your cheek!"

"I don't want you to kiss it, I wanted you to punch it!"

"Wha-"

"While we're still indestructible."

"Oh.. yeah." Henry punched my face

"I'm okay!"

"Ah, classic." my dad grinned

"Alright, let's do this." Charlotte said

"Goggles on." Schwoz commanded as everyone pull down their goggles

"W-wait do we get goggles?" I ask

"Uhm..we only have theee pair. Voosh, veek, vizzle!" Schwoz yelled

I felt Henry squeeze my hand as I heard my dad scream in agony.

It felt like I was being burned alive but ten times worse.

Schwoz flipped the lever as me and Henry's bodies collapsed on the floor.

"Woo! That felt awesome!" my dad beamed

"Dria, Henry, are you alright?" Charlotte asked

I helped Henry up "I think so?"

"Okay, how do we make them laugh to see if fire comes out?" my dad asked

"Ooh, Ray do your impression pf Schwoz taking a shower." Charlotte suggested

"Good idea, that'll make them laugh."

My dad took a deep breath "i aM sChWoZ, I Am ScHwOz. dIrtY DiRtY sChWoZ. oH hElLo mR. sOap, yOU'Re gOiNg tO go oN a dIsGoOsTiNg aDveNtUre." my dad lifted up his shirt "iN mY bElLy bUtTon."

Me and Henry laughed but no fire came out of our mouths as everyone's eyes widened

"It worked! We laughed and no fire!" Henry exclaimed as my dad high-fived us

"Oh, wait wait." Charlotte chimed in

"What's up?"

"We don't know if Henry and Dria are still indestructible or not."

"Oh.. yeah."

Schwoz smashed a purple vase on Henry's head as he collapsed on the floor

"They're back to normal!" Schwoz exclaimed

We all looked down at Henry's unconscious body and walked away.

But the confession chapter is kinda cringe so I will def change it 😭😭

I wrote that chapter when I was just new to being an author and my writing style has changed a bit so i'll change it
