Audrianna's POV

Henry and I walked along the school halls, only to see a bunch of students on their devices looking at the news.

"Hey. What's going on?" Henry asked curiously

"A live police pursuit." Charlotte answered

"The cops have been chasing a guy on a motorcycle all around Swellview." Jasper added

"It's been going on for over an hour."

"Woah, lemme see." I peeked over to Jasper's pearpad

"And there he goes, taking a hard turn south onto Walnut Parkway. Right now I see two police cars in pursuit." The reporter announced

"I bet they don't catch him." Sidney spoke up

"I bet they do." Oliver retorted

"Would it kill you to agree with me once?!"

"You're so emotional."

"I'm not!"

"You need a massage." Oliver nudged him as he groaned

"Whoa." Henry chuckled "This motorcycle guy is insane."

We continued watching the chase in amazement.

"Okay, joining us now is motorcycle expert, David Harley."

"Hello, Trent." the man greeted

"Oh, is the motorcycle chase still going on?" Ms. Shapen chimed in

"Yes ma'am." Jasper agreed

"Whoa. Now the motorcycle bandit seems to be turning around while riding. Good gosh, he's taking photos of our news van. Incredible."

"Well, often, guys on motorcycles being chased by the police will turn around and take photos as a way of establishing male dominance." David explained

"Ah, yes, that makes perfect sense." Trent nodded

"Jasper, I need you to get the flag and put it out in front of the school." Ms. Shapen demanded

"Why?"

"Because there's nothing out there now, and you can't pledge allegiance to a hole in a pole."

"But I want to keep watching the chase."

Ms. Shapen snatched his pear pad "Flag!"

Jasper quickly ran away to get the flag as Ms. Shapen continued watching the chase with us.

"Okay, it looks like the motorcyclist is now headed south on Green Street in the direction of Swellview Junior High School."

"Whoa." my eyes widened

"He's coming right towards our school!" Sidney pointed out

"I'm going to hid in the girls' bathroom." Oliver frantically ran out as Charlotte dragged Henry and I aside.

"Uh, you two realise that a criminal is riding toward this school."

"Yeah.." Henry nodded "So?"

"Oh God." I facepalmed myself

"So.. It might be a good time for Captain Man or Kid Danger and Danger Girl to get here." Charlotte whispered

"Right. Right." Henry nodded before turning to Ms. Shapen "I uh.. Better go wash my nose."

"Yeah.. And I should help him... Wash his nose." I nodded awkwardly as I dragged Henry to a closet.

We pulled out our gumball tubes and popped a gumball in our mouths.

"You ready?" he turned to me

"You betcha."

We blew our bubbles, transforming into our superhero uniforms as we walked back in the school

"Hey." Kid Danger greeted "We're here."

"Look! Jasper already took him down." Charlotte beamed

"Wow." I crossed my arms "Great job, Jasper." I smiled proudly

"Hey," a girl walked up to Kid Danger "Do you mind if I get a picture?"

"Nah, people ask me all the time." he wrapped an arm around her shoulder

"Thanks." she handed him her phone and stood next to Jasper

"Oh. Sure."

"Low blow." I sniggered

Kid Danger took one picture of them "There. Done. Come get your phone."

The police walked in shortly after as Kid Danger and I made our way outside the school.

"Hey, hey everybody! Check it out! Jasper is on the news!" Sidney beamed as the students chattered

"Wait, why is Jasper on the news?" I asked curiously, pretending to act clueless

"'Cause he caught that motorcycle guy yesterday." Sidney explained

"Cool."

"Oh."

"Hey guys! Jasper's on the news!" Oliver beamed

"I already told 'em."

"Dangit, Sidney!" Oliver ran away

"Wait- where are you going?"

"Don't act like you care!"

"Wait! I have your medicine!" Sidney chased him, making me furrow my eyebrows

"And when I saw the guy riding the motorcycle towards me, I just held up the flag and he crashed into the pole." Jasper shrugged

"Well, let's take look at some cellphone footage from one of your fellow students."

A footage of Jasper holding up the school flag as the motorcycle bandit ran into it popped up.

"How amazing was that?" Mary exclaimed

"I got this, Mary."

Oh how much I hated Trent.

"Jasper, you impress me." he said

"I do?" Jasper beamed

"Absolutely. I'd wear a t-shirt with your face on it."

"Aw, I'm so proud of Jasper." Charlotte smiled sweetly

"Yeah. He did amazing." I grinned

"Okay, come on, let's get to class." Henry stormed off

"Why? We have ten more minutes." I pointed out

"I don't like watching the news, alright?"

"But Jasper's on." Charlotte reasoned

"So? We see Jasper all the time. I mean, pfft. Sorry you love the news." he rolled his eyes

"Hey, Henry." a group of girls walked up to him

"Janie and I are having a party on Saturday night."

"Yeah." Janie grinned

"Oh, cool." Henry chuckled

"If you aren't busy.. Will you tell Jasper he's invited?"

"Jasper's a hero."

I held in my laughter "Low blow."

"Yeah, sure." Henry said dryly

"Yay!" The girl beamed as she and her friends walked away

"Hero? Pfft." he scoffed "I'm a superhero."

"Mmm.. Technically sidekick." I corrected

"Mmm.. Same thing."

"Mmm.. Not quite."

"I'm going to class." Henry walked away as a girl ran up to Charlotte and I

"Hey, Charlotte. Will you give me Jasper's phone number?"

"Uh.. Sure. It's area code two four-"

"You don't need Jasper's phone number!" Henry cut her off, making the girl run away screaming

I crossed my arms and stared at him in disappointment as he walked away.

"And then, Jasper got to go on the news and- and everyone thinks he's so awesome and just- it's so not fair." Henry ranted out

My dad kicked Bork, making him try to punch him but instead my dad grabbed his arm and flipped him over.

"Down you go."

"Are you listening to me?"

"I'm not." Charlotte chimed in

"I just don't get what you're upset about." My dad wondered

"What's not to get? Dri gets it."

"No she doesn't." I answered blankly

"Well, Jasper did basically nothing and suddenly, everyone in Swellview thinks he's a hero. And- and I capture bad guys with you and Danger Girl all the time and no one gives me any credit."

"You get credit all the time!" Charlotte pointed out

"Yeah, and way more than Danger Girl!" I scoffed

"Yeah. The vice mayor gave us those medals. And that gift card for free medium frozen yogurt." my dad added, flipping Bork over again

"No, Kid Danger gets the credit, and the medals, and the yogurt, But I spend most of my life as Henry Hart. And no one knows I do anything."

"Just a second." my dad grabbed Bork and flipped him over again, pinning him on the ground with his leg as Bork tried to resist.

He got up and smirked "Man, I'm good."

"Uh.. Y'know, Bork's not even trying." I pointed out

"What? Yes he is. You're trying your hardest, right?" my dad turned to him and Bork shook his head

Henry sat on the couch as I stood behind him, stroking his hair because I knew he calmed down whenever I do.

"Oh really? Okay. Well then, I want you to start trying your hardest right now."

"Mm?" Bork raised his eyebrows

"Yeah. Come on, Bork." my dad nudged him "Let's see what you got. Let's see if you're fast enough to catch-"

He got cut off by Bork hitting him in the head, making him fall to the ground as Henry, Charlotte, and I laughed at him.

He quickly got up "I slipped."

"Sure." I looked away, grinning as I continued to play with Henry's hair

"Alright, my friend. Let's try that again. Yeah, and I'm ready this time. So you better be careful, better watch out 'cause I'm comin' in fast Bork. Come on, show me your best move. What you got? Come o-"

He got cut off by Bork hitting him on the head again.

My dad frantically got up "Okay, Bork. I think you've had enough. I'm gonna go hit the shower."

"You can't wash off the pain." I teased

Charlotte turned on the news as Mary started speaking up.

"And we have some exciting news from the Mayor's office."

"Ah! No way!" Charlotte yelled out, making me turn to her

"What?" Henry asked

"Uh.. Nothing. It's not about Jasper. Don't come over here."

Henry got up as I followed him over to the monitors.

"Boy Wonder, Jasper Dunlop, is getting his own holiday."

He threw his hands up in disbelief.

"Thanks to Jasper's heroic actions last week, the mayor has declared April ninth, Jasper Dunlop Day here in Swellview." Mary added

"A special day. For a very special young man."

Henry furiously turned off the monitors "He wasn't heroic. He wasn't even sheroic. He was nonroic!"

"You know, Jasper's your friend." Charlotte pointed out "You shouldn't be jealous of him."

"I'm not jealous."

"Yes you are." I crossed my arms "You're jelly of Jasper."

"I'm not jelly of Jasper." he snapped back "This is about me wanting more people to pay attention to me instead of Jasper."

"A.K.A. jealousy." I pointed out

"It is not jealousy!"

Charlotte sighed "Alright, I'm going upstairs."

"Why?" Henry asked

"Because you're not upstairs." she went inside the elevator

"I'm out too." I raised my hands in defeat

"Come on, you too Dri?"

"Yeah, dude. You shouldn't be jelly of Jasper." I reminded him before entering the sprocket "He's the longest friend you've had."

I rang the doorbell, pacing nervously around Henry's porch, waiting for someone to answer.

"Go away, please!" I heard Mr. Hart yell

"Hey, Mr. And Mrs. Hart." I frantically ran in the house, only to see them getting massages.

"Audrianna, we didn't say come in." Mrs. Hart pointed out

"I'm sorry.. Just- where's Henry?"

"He's at work. Don't you work with him?"

"Yeah. And we're busy getting a couple's massage." Mrs. Hart added

"Can I turn on the news?" I pleaded

"Audrianna-"

I grabbed the remote and turned on the news.

"And once again, according to Swellview police, a crazed man has taken control of a local pet store called Pet Me, where he's holding an employee and several customers hostage, including Captain Man."

"Trent, do we know what the hostage taker's commands are?" Mary turned to him

"No, Mary. You asked me that five minutes ago. We still don't know." Trent pressed on his ear piece

"Uh, hang on. I'm getting word that we have some cellphone video footage that was just sent to us from inside the pet store."

"Has there been any mention of the hostage taker's demands?"

Trent stared at her in disbelief "Now let's take a look at the footage taken only four minutes ago."

Video footage popped up, it showed a couple of people inside pet crates. One of which was Henry.

"Hey! Let me out of this animal carrier, I'm uncomfortable!" he demanded

I felt my eye twitch in rage. Did that dumbass seriously went off on his own?

"Wait. Press pause." Mrs. Hart demanded as I paused the footage

"That's Henry!" she shrieked

"Oh no." Mr. Hart's eyes widened

"Figlio di puttana.." I muttered under my breath before storming out of the house.
(Motherfucker..)

I pulled out my gumball tube and popped a gumball in my mouth before blowing it and transforming into my superhero uniform as I started to head to Pet Me.

I peeked my head inside Pet Me before noticing another head above me.

"Jasper?" I whispered

"Hey, Danger Girl." he beamed

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm gonna rescue Henry and Captain Man."

"But I'm already-" I trailed off "Let's go."

I carefully walked up to Henry who was inside a carrier on the floor "Psst. Henry."

"Audri-- Danger Girl? Jasper?" he whispered

"Oh God." I heard Captain Man groan on the other side

"Dude, what are you doing here?" Henry asked

"I saw you on the news." Jasper said

"And now we're saving your ass." I smiled sarcastically at him

"Wait- I was on the news? Did they mention my name?"

"No."

"Dangit."

"Hey," Captain Man grinned sarcastically "I'm super psyched that you guys are having a little reunion here but can we please focus on the psychopath who has taken over this pet store?!" he whisper-yelled

"Right." Jasper and I went to go unlock his cage

"Hey, Captain Man. It's me.. Jasper." he smirked

"I'm aware." he glared at him

"Great. Now here's my plan.."

Captain Man and I groaned in unison.

"I'll go to the men's room,"

"Yeah."

"You tell the bad guy you really gotta pee, like real bad."

"Uh-huh."

"Then he'll probably let you go to the bathroom, where I'll be waiting for-"

"Hey." I cut him off "Could I pitch an idea?"

"Sure."

"Let's get him out of this cage."

Jasper thought for a moment "Right."

We unlocked his cage as he crawled out "Thank you, kids."

"Can you let me out now?" Henry pleaded

"No." Captain Man stopped Jasper from letting him free "Hey, Dirk! Look, I'm out! I'm- out of the thing." he said as Jasper and I ducked behind the couter

"What?!" a man walked in the store "Who let you out of that carrier?! You better get back in there right no-"

He got cut off by Captain Man punching him in the face as the customers applauded for him.

"Wow. That was so amazing. Now will you let me out of this animal box?" Henry stared at Jasper as he quickly unlocked it

"Okay, you're free.. Latches open. Congratulations. Climb out of there." I said blankly as I opened the customers' cages

"No way.. Look." Jasper held up a box with a spider inside "A Mexican Red rump. I've wanted one of these spiders since I was little." he beamed

"So buy one." Henry suggested

"Dude, they're 150 bucks."

"Hey.. That's the kid who stopped the motorcycle bandit the other day." a customer pointed out

"And he saved Captain Man who saved us." the other lady said

"You're a hero."

"Again."

"Nah, Captain Man was the one who punched him and Danger Girl let you guys out of the cages." Jasper grinned

"No, no, son. We all owe you a big, wet thank you." Captain Man put a hand on his shoulder "Don't we, boy I don't know?" he stared at Henry teasingly

"Wet?" Henry furrowed his eyebrows

"No.. Henry doesn't need to thank me." Jasper said "This guy's my best friend." he wrapped an arm around his shoulder

"He would've done the same thing for me." Jasper continued

"Aww. Well, Jasper. I bet you feel pretty good right now." I playfully nudged his arm

"I do." he smirked, putting his hands on his waist

"Anddd how 'bout you?" I poked Henry's arm teasingly "How do you feel? Kinda gross? Huh?"

"Shut up.." he muttered
