"Thank you, Trent. Captain Man, Kid Danger, and Danger Girl, can you tell us what happened here?" The news reporter, Evelyn said

"Well- we found out that the Time Jerk was he--" I began but Captain Man cut me off

"Hello, Evelyn."

"Hey."

"So about an hour ago, I swung in here, crashed into that glass, and captured the Time Jerker you see right over there." Captain Man gestured to the Time Jerker

"We also participated." Kid Danger chimed in

"Well, Captain Man, once again the city of Swellview owes you a big fat thank you." Evelyn said

"We also participated." I chimed in

"I don't fight crime for thank yous. But there is something that I want." Captain Man said

"Sure..anything..I mean- what?" The news reported said

"As i'm sure you already know there's a very special steakhouse here in Swellview, called Montego's."

"Right, i've heard of Montego's." Evelyn said

"Yeah, well did you know that you can't get a reservation at that place, you have to be invited by the owner."

"Anyways- We're really glad that we were able to capture the Time Jerker--" Captain Man cut me off

"So to the owner of Montego's restaurant; Hey, it's me. Captain Man. Guys who keeps the entire city safe."

"You really do.." Evelyn said

"I like steak. I like it alot." Captain Man said "So, feel free to invite me to your restaurant, Montego's."

I stepped in "I also like steak."

"I'm Evelyn Hall. Single and ready." Evelyn chimed in

Time skip: 2 weeks

"Okay, next criminal." I said

Charlotte moved on to the next criminal "They call him Malkoff, he steals dogs then shaves them and sells their hair to wig shops."

Henry scoffed "Sick weirdo."

"Hey, hey! guys, guys! Hey, hey! my dad quickly ran up to us "Any messages come in for me while I was in the bathroom!?"

"No, Ray, the restaurant still hasn't called you." Charlotte turned back to the monitor

"Ding dangit!"

"No- dude, if you want steak let's just go to BackOut Steakhouse." Henry said

"No! Anyone can go to BackOut Steakhouse! I wanna go to Montego's!"

"Oy vey.." Charlotte sighed

"Ray, I want you to sit down." Henry pushed my dad towards the couch "Relax, and finish your juice."

My dad lifted up his cup with two hands and finished his juice.

"There you go. Don't you feel better?" I ask, rubbing his shoulders

"I just don't get it." my dad swiftly stood up "I said it on the news two weeks ago! I said 'Feel free to invite me to your restaurant Mr. Montego.' And you know he heard about me saying that- you know it!"

There was a ringing sound heard.

"Oh! Maybe that's Montego's! move, move!" he pushed Charlotte out of the way as he answered the call "Hello? Captain Man hotline. What is it please?"

"Hello!? I'm calling for the Swellview home of the elderly."

"Dah! You're not Montego's!" my dad hung up the call

"Dad, you can't hang up on people like that."

"That could've been an emergency." Charlotte sdded

Henry went to the monitors snd answered the call "Yeah, hi, what's your emergency?"

"Hello, a man broke in here and stole all our money and our clothing we're all here naked! Can you come help us!?"

"Uh, i'm sorry- did you say that you're all elderly and naked?" I chimed in

"Yes, that's right!"

"Sorry, wrong number." I hung up the call

Henry walked in his front door with a confused look on his face.

"I'm just as confused as you are." I spat

"D-did someone die..?" Henry asked

Everyone laughed (except for me and Henry)

"That was really funny." Jasper said

"Yeah. That's our Henry." Charlotte agreed

"Thanks, why are you all here?" Henry asked

"To congratulate you." Mrs. Hart said

"To give you presents." Charlotte added

"For winning student of the month." Mr. Hart continued

"I just came here to hang out." I mumbled

"Oh, wow so you guys already heard about that?"

"Even some of our neighbours heard about it." Mrs. Hart pointed to Henry's neighbours

"Hey, neighbours." Henry waved

"Hey, Henry." They all said

"And you are?" Henry pointed to the homeless man

"Oh, my name's Herb. I'm visiting from Los Angeles. Thinking about buying a vacation home here in Swellview." he grabbed a chip "My life's going great!"

"And you're here why?" I ask

"I just saw people walking into this house, joined them." he chuckled

"So Henry," one of Henry's neighbours walked up to him "We heard that part of your student of the month prize is a..dinner for two at Montego's"

"Damn." I mumbled

"Really?"

"It is?"

"I didn't know."

"Oh, please take me!" Jasper begged

"Why would he take you? I'm his best friend!" Charlotte protested

"You are not!" Jasper argued back

"Hey! A boy's best friend is his mother!"

"Aw, that's a crack of bowl!" Mr. Hart fired back

People started arguing left and right.

"Uh.. i'm going home."

"Wha- help me out here, Dri!"

"Nah-" I opened the door but my dad ran inside

"Hi! Hey! Henry, hi! I just heard about your uh,  - you know your uh- your prize. Oh God." my dad panted "Yeah."

"Why are you wet?" I ask

"I'm sweating. I just ran 9 miles to get here."

"What's the dog leash for?" Henry asked

"I was walking a friend's dog."

"Where's the dog." I glared at him

My dad looked at the leash."I don't know." He grabbed a kid's glass of water and drank it

"Hey. Who is this guy?" Henry's neighbor asked

Everyone started talking at once.

"Hey. Hey, hey." Henry began "For those of you who don't know, this is Ray, my boss at Junk N' Stuff. And he's been dying to go to Montego's for years, so.. I'm taking Ray to Montego's."

Everyone groaned while my dad laughed and snatched the lamp from Henry's neighbor "Oh yeah, baby! Who's got the lamp now!?" my dad hugged Henry which made me giggle

It's nice seeing my dad this happy.

Henry knocked on my door "Hey, Dri, can I come in?"

"Go ahead."

Henry opened the door "Heyy."

"Sup?"

"So, this might sound crazy but-- I change my mind."

"About what?"

"About me taking your dad to Montego's."

"Oh."

"Hey, are you free Saturday night?"

"I never make plans. Why?"

"I was wondering if you'd like to go to Montego's instead."

I sucked my teeth "I don't know..my dad would be pretty heartbroken."

"Yeah, but I feel like you deserve it so much. Take this as an apology for calling you a bitch the other day."

I nodded "Okay then."

"So- you'll go with Montego's with me?"

"Sure." I smile

Henry walked out of the elevator "Hey, R-"

"Haha." my dad gestured to his setup

He set up a whole fake dinner and I had to be a fake waiter.

This is gonna tear him up.

But I do look hot in a suit.

"Hi." Henry said

"Hey, Henry. You wanna join me?" my dad asked

"For what?"

"Rehearsal, i'm practicing what i'm gonna order when we get to Montego's."

"Okay, uh. Ray- I gotta talk to y-"

"Uh shush shush shush." my dad cleared his throat "Uh, yes and for my steak i'll have the 60 oz. rib-eye, and I want that cooked medium rare." he smirked at me

I sigh before putting on a fake smile "Of course, and would you care for anything else?"

"Uh yes, and i'll also care for two more steaks!" my dad chuckled

"I quit my job." I dropped the clipboard on the table and started heading to my room

"Wait! Dri- I need you to be here."

I sighed before turning around.

I don't wanna be there to see my dad all heartbroken

"Oh Henry, you don't know what this means to me." My dad smiled

"It's just beef man." Henry said

My dad walked up to Henry "Look, I had to tell you this but i've been going through a rough patch lately." he wrapped his arm around his shoulder

"Oh, jeez." Henry said

"I've just been feeling depressed for the last couple of months until you invited me to go with you to Montego's for dinner."

Henry chuckled "Well yeah, but I mean-"

"Hey is it okay if I tell you that I think of you as family? I mean, you're like the little brother and the nephew I never had."

Ouch.

"Ray, I can't take you to Montego's!" Henry pulled away

"Ooh, drama." I sat down

"What'd you say?" my dad asked

"I've been doing some thinking, and I seriously think that I should take Audrianna to Montego's. She was the only one who didn't beg me to to take her. And I wanna make up to her for everything i've done."

"Ah, you're joking!" my dad smiled

"Uh.."

"Yeah.. you're making a joke- you're joke making!"

"No."

"Yeah, you're making a joke! You're--" my dad started laughing

"I'm not joking."

"Yes, you are too! You're telling a terrible awful mean joke! But it's all gonna be okay because you're still taking me to Montego's with you, right?"

"Ray.."

"I said you're still taking me to Montego's with you, right?"

"Audrianna deserves it..I gotta take her.."

"Ok."

"Dude- look, maybe later you and I could--"

"Oh yeah, don't worry about it go have fun with my daughter."

"Dad.." I stood up

"Are you sure?" Henry asked

"Yeah, i'm fine." my dad grabbed the chair and threw it at the wall while me and Henry just stood there awkwardly.

"Ray?"

"I'm. Fine." my dad said as he left the room

Me and Henry walked down the stairs where we saw my dad and Schwoz pretending to be me and Henry.

"Wha- Ray?" Henry asked

"Uh, n-n-no. I'm Henry Hart, teenager."

"Sir, i'm Henry Hart."

"Dad, what the hell?"

"No! I ain't yo' daddy. I'm in 9th grade dude!"

"Pardon me, where's the lady's room?" Schwoz said in a high pitched voice

"I know you're not a girl." The man said

"Prove it."

"Gross!"

"That is disgusting."

The boys all talked at once

I rolled my eyes and grabbed the whistle I always have in bag and blew it "Why are you and Schwoz here pretending to be me and Henry?" I ask my dad

"Why are you here pretending to be us?" Schwoz retorted

"Yeah, son!" my dad agreed

"Stop it." Henry said

I sighed "Look, my dad's been dying to go here. And.." I took a deep breath "Well- now I feel all bad. I gave up my dad's happiness just so I could spend time with you." I turned to Henry

"You shouldn't feel bad, Dri."

"It's okay. I'm not even that into steak.." I reassured

"What!?" my dad asked

"Yeah, I don't really care about steak."

"Aw no! no, no no! How are you even my daughter!?"

"Ray, you're embarrassing me." Henry scolded

"Oh, i'm embarrassing you!?"

"Yes."

"Or is it my steak hating daughter over there!?"

"It's you!"

I was fidgeting with my hair and Schwoz started copying me.

"Pfft. Boys." He said

"You're a boy!" I scolded

"Prove it."

"Ray, please go home." Henry pushed him away "Dri and I--"

"No. I-it's okay. Seriously, I don't care that much about eating here and my dad really does so, just have dinner with him."

"You sure?" Henry asked

"She's sure! Look at her, that's what sure people look like!" my dad pointed to me

"Yeah, i'm sure." I said, smiling as I handed him my gift card

"Alright man, looks like we're having dinner here together." Henry turned to my dad

"Me too?" Schwoz asked

"No, the reservation is only for 2." The man said

"Oh, okay. No problem." Schwoz said "Balloons!" Schwoz ran inside when we weren't looking and stole a slab of steak

I climbed into Henry's window.

"Hey." He smiled

"Hey. Soo why exactly did you invite me to your place in the middle of the night in my dress?"

"Well, I figured I would make it up to you since you didn't get to go to Montego's with me tonight."

"Go on." I cross my arms

"Well, I found an exact recipe on how to make Montego's steak. Turns out it's just sirloin steak, what really makes it taste so good is the seasoning." Henry explained

"Where is this heading?" I ask

"Well, I was pretty bummed out that I didn't get to take you to Montego's because if anyone deserved that invitation, it was you."

"Did you and my dad atleast enjoy it?"

"Nope."

"Bummer. So, why am I here again?"

"Well, to make it up to you." Henry grabbed a remote and the lights opened to reveal a fancy table with candles and Montego's steak while music played "I made my own  Montego's steak."

I think I just fell in love with him all over again.

"Henry.." I turned to him "You didn't have to do all this.." I smiled

You can hold my hand
If no one's home

Henry chuckled "But I did it anyways."

"This is amazing.."

I can feel all my bones coming back
And I'm craving motion

"You deserved all this.." Henry smiled at me "You're an amazing person, Audrianna."

You're a pond and I'm an ocean
Oh, all my emotions

"And i'm so lucky to be your friend." Henry held my hand

"Thank you." I smile cheekily at him

I need you here to stay..

Henry walked me home to the Man Cave.

"Tonight was amazing Hen." I smile sweetly at him

"I'm glad you enjoyed my little surprise."

There was a short pause.

"Y'know, i'm still under the 3 foot rule but.." Henry began "Bianca's not here anyways." He pulled me into a tight hug

I feel my heart race as Henry pulls me close, our faces inches apart.

As we embrace, I can feel the warmth of his body and our chests pressed against each other.

The moment feels like it lasts a lifetime as I breathe in the familiar scent of his cologne.

After what feels like a moment in heaven, Henry finally breaks the embrace.

We both look a little flushed from the intimate encounter, but I don't regret it for a second.

In fact, I wish it could happen again... soon.

"Night, Dri."

"Night, Hen." I smile softly at him

"Sweet dreams."

"You too." I said as I slowly walk in the sprocket with a huge smile on my face
