I heard screaming coming from the elevator, the doors opened and came out a very exhausted Henry. He was still in his pjs but so was I.

Things have been akward between us ever since I gave him a kiss on the cheek. Well, for me. I don't know about him. One second I'm in love with him then the next I regret my life decisions.

He came out of the elevator. "He's gotta fix that elevator. Hey Dri, did Ray triple beep you too?"

"Uh-huh." I tried to find my dad but failed to do so "Dad? Dad! You triple beeped me and Henry. What's the emergency?"

Henry and I noticed two watches and a note on the cart "Hey, Henry and Dria, put these watches on your wrists."

We looked at each other and shrugged "Sure." I lifted open the glass box covering the watch

Henry chuckled "Where else would I put it on?" as I just rolled my eyes as I put on my watch

I flipped it open and a hologram of my dad popped up.

"Hiya, Henry and Dria!" My dad exclaimed

"Woah!" Me and Henry both shouted

"Dad?"

"Ray?"

"Yep. I'm hovering over your wrist in hologram form!" My dad started doing weird gestures with his hands

Henry poked the hologram in the eye which made my dad scream "Ahhh! Ahh! You poked my eye out!"

"Henry!" I scolded

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry!"

"I'm just kidding, you can't hurt a hologram. Or a Captain Man." he started dancing

"This is so cool. It's like we're in the same room." I complimented

"We are." My dad's hologram disappeared

"Where'd you--" Henry asked before he got cut off by my dad scaring us

"Peek-a-boo."

"AHHH--" we both shouted before sighing in relief

"Now both of you, take off your old wrist band."

"Okay, why are we--" Henry got cut off by my dad

"From now on I'm gonna contact you on your new whiz watches." My dad explained

"So what do we do with the old one?" I asked

"Toss it up in the air."

"Why?"

"It's about to self destruct."

"Oh." Me and Henry immediately threw our old watches.

The watch started beeping.

"Hm. That's weird, it was supposed to--" my dad got cut off by the watch exploding and Henry and my dad immediately grabbed on to me.

Hah. Cowards.

They immediately let go of me and cleared their throats.

"I see you're both wearing pajama pants." My dad began to difuse the akwardness

"Yeah. It's almost midnight. I was studying for this huge test I have tomorrow." Henry replied

"What subject?" I asked

"Puerto Rican history."

"Ah, Puerto Rico. Land of.." My dad was struggling to think of something

"Puerto Ricans?" I answered for him

"Right."

All of a sudden the alarm started blaring as we all ran to the monitors.

"What's up Gooch?" My dad asked

"There's a robbery in progress."

"Where?" I asked

"At the twenty-four hour antique bottle shop."

"Glass From The Past?" Henry asked

"Affirmative."

"On it." my dad turned off the monitor and pulled out his gum tube "Shall we?

"Let's blow some bubbles." I replied

"And fight some crime." Henry added

We popped a gum in our mouth and started chewing. We blew the bubble and transformed into our superhero costumes.

"Let's hit it Danger Girl and Kid Danger."

"Fist!" me and Kid Danger said at the same time and fist bumped my dad

We ran under our tubes and I hugged Kid Danger's waist which made my heart beat faster. I wish my dad would just install another tube.

We tapped our bekt buckles and our tubes came down "Up the tube!"

Kid Danger's boot fell down "Aw, my boot!"

"Yell, up the boot." I instructed

"Up the boot!" the boot came up and hit us in the face

"Ow!"

"Ha!" my dad laughed

We walked into the glass shop.

"Excuse me." Captain Man began

"Captain Man!" the store owner exclaimed

"I hope you're planning to pay for that lavender bottle."

"And I hope that too." Kid Danger added and I just rolled my eyes

"Kid Danger and Danger Girl!" said the store owner

"I ain't afraid of you." the robber whacked Captain Man in the head with a metal pipe but nothing happened.

"Try again. Keep your left arm straight." he instructed

The robber hit my dad in the head again.

"Strike three."

"That was only two." I whispered to him

"Okay, don't correct me in front of criminals."

The robber tried to hit Captain Man again but he immediately blocked it and made the robber fall to the ground.

He kicked the robber which made him fall down and knock over a bunch of vases.

"Oh no!" the store owner exclaimed

"You really want to fight us?"

"Can i just fight the kids?" the man pointed to me and Kid Danger

My dad sighed "No you can't just fight--"

"Sure he can." Kid Danger cut off Captain Man

"What--" my eyes went wide

"Come on, tough guy." Kid Danger challenged him

"Okay." the robber put a helmet over his head

"Hey, what are you-- this smells so bad!" Kid Danger got cut off by his muffled grunts then the robber turned to me

He tried to punch me but I blocked it and kicked him in the groin.

The robber winced in pain but immediately stood back up.

Captain Man grabbed two golf clubs.

"No! Those are for display only!" the store owner yelled

"Kid Danger, catch this golf club!" my dad threw the golf club which hit Kid Danger in the head.

I grabbed a golf club and started whacking the robber

"You're not helping me!!" The store owner looked around all the broken glass

The robber tried to hit me but I immediately ducked and avoided the attack.

I noticed Kid Danger finally got his golf club and started accidentally hitting glass vases.

"Captain Man? Danger Girl? Where are you?"

"Follow the sound of my voice!" I exclaimed as I kept hitting the robber

"Marco!" Kid Danger exclaimed as he kept on hitting the vases

"Polo!" I exclaimed

"Stop it!"

"Marco!"

"Polo!"

"Marco!"

We kept on breaking the glasses while trying to fight the robber.

"Polo!"

"Could you superheroes please just leave!" the store owner demanded

"Marco!"

Captain Man kicked the robber which caused him to hit more vases and pass out.

Kid Danger started whacking the air thinking the robber was still conscious.

Captain Man immediately stopped him "Kid Danger. Kid Danger. Kid Danger. Kid Danger." he stopped him and I took off the helmet on his head

"Where is he?" Kid Danger looked around to see the unconscious robber "Did I get him?" l

"Yeah, you got him." I sarcastically said

"My whole store is destroyed!"

"No need to thank us." Captain Man smirked

"Thank you?" the store owner questioned

"You're welcome." I replied

"Let's go Kid Danger and Danger Girl ." we walked up to the door

"No!" the store owner yelled which made us stop in our tracks "Nobody leaves until you guys clean up all of this broken glass."

We all glanced at each other.

"All right." Captain Man agreed

"But I got to be up at 7:00AM for my test at school." Kid Danger reasoned

"This will only take us like, five hours." I looked around all the broken glass

"I'll get you a broom." my dad walked into the employees only room and Kid Danger sighed before sitting on the floor.

I was hanging out at Henry's house with Jasper and I saw him pour a huge cup of coffee as I furrowed my eyebrows.

Charlotte walked in Henry's house.

"Hey Char,"

"Hey."

"Hey-hey"

"Uh.. what are we watching?" Charlotte asked

"Natural Surgery." Jasper answered

"What is Natural Surgery?"

"They do surgery, but with no anesthesia." I answered

"No pain killers?" Charlotte asked in amusement

"None." me and Jasper said at the same time

"See?" he pointed to the TV "That guy's getting a heart bypass."

The man in the TV was screaming in pain as we all laughed.

"Hey Henry, come check out this show."

Henry walked up to us.

"What's in the mug?" I asked

"Coffee. To keep myself alive." Henry replied

"No, no, no." I took away the huge coffee mug

"What? Hey bring that back."

"You're thirteen. You can't be drinking this much coffee after school. And I'm pretty sure this is super unhealthy."

"Dri.."

"Don't 'Dri' me! This mug is comedically large." I confronted him

Henry groaned "But I need it."

Jasper turned off the TV "What's the matter with you?"

"Nothing, I'm just.. I got alot going on." Henry replied

"Is it your hormones?" Jasper whispered "Is your body changing too?"

Henry looked at him weirdly.

"You been having weird dreams?" Jasper inquired

"I haven't had any dreams because i'm not getting any sleep." he replied

I walked up to him and started stroking his hair gently to calm him down. I always knew Henry loved it when I stroke his hair.

"I have the same dream all the time." Charlotte began "It always starts with me getting a horse for my birthday, and then Jasper shows up. And then the horse kicks Jasper in the face."

We all looked at each other.

"But I end up being okay, right?" Jasper reassured

"No."

"Yikes." I winced

"We're home!" Mrs. Hart exclaimed

"Henry, come help me, please."

"Henry, come help your mother!" Piper yelled

"What? What, what?" he stood up

"We got everything you need for you to make your chili balls for dinner tonight."

"Woah! you know how to make chili balls!? They're my fav." I exclaimed. Henry's a keeper because of this.

"Oh, no, no, no. I cannot make dinner tonight." Henry reasoned

"We already bought everything." Mrs. Hart explained "And it is your night."
Mrs. Hart threw the chili balls at Henry as he caught it

"Make 'em spicy this time!" Piper demanded

"Mom, seriously, I'm like, so busy, I don't have time." Henry reasoned

"Hey, Piper." Jasper waved at her

"Oh man, Jasper's here?"

"Piper, be nice." Mrs. Hart ordered

"But Jasper's always here! It's not okay!" Piper complained

"I'm going to the bathroom." he stood up

"Oh no mom," Piper turns around "Jasper's going to use our bathroom."

"We'll be alright." Mrs. Hart reassured

Mr. Hart walked in "Hey, everyone."

"Hi, honey." Mrs. Hart greeted

"Hey Mr. Hart" I greeted

"Audrianna." Mr. Hart greeted back

"Jasper's in the bathroom." Piper said

"Ah, geez."

"And Henry said he didn't want to make dinner."

"What? It's his night."

"I'm going to make dinner." Henry said

"Um? Henry, before you start.." Mr. Hart cut him off. This is not gonna be good for Henry.

"What's up?" Henry sat down and I stood behind him

"I got a call at work today from one of your teachers, Miss Shapen?"

"Wh-- She called you at work? That's so rude of her." Henry leaned back into the chair

"Apparently you fell asleep in class today and failed your Puerto Rican history test." Mr. Hart confronted him

"Well.."

"Do you realize how important Puerto Rican history is?"

"Yeah. I'm sorry, I fell asleep in class."

"Well your teacher says it's been happening a lot. Falling asleep in class, not doing your homework." Mr. Hart confronted him

"I know, it's.. it's just kind of tough with school, and my new job at Junk N' Stuff."

"Well if you can't keep your grades up, you're going to have to quit your job."

My eyes widened, Henry can't quit. Swellview needs Kid Danger. No way he can quit. And plus, if Henry quits then my dad would have to erase his mind. And I CANNOT let that happen.

"I can't quit. My job's a really big deal." Henry protested

"It's a junk shop. You sweep the floors."

"Miss Shapen said I can take a makeup test before school on Friday."

"I expect an A."

"You got it. I'll go upstairs and study right now." Henry stood up

"Hey, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey." Mr. Hart stopped him "You study after you make the chili balls."

"But--" Henry got cut off

"And make 'em spicy this time."

"Yeah!" Piper agreed

I beeped Henry on his whiz watch.

"Henry, why aren't you on your way here?" Captain Man asked

"Because I got in trouble for sleeping in class today. And I had to make chili balls. It was my night."

"Kid there's been an escape from Swellview Prison. We need you." Captain Man ordered

"All right, I'll be there in 10 minutes."

"Good. Run like a bunny." I said before turning off the call

It had been ninety minutes and Henry never came. So me and my dad went to his house.

"Henry!" Captain Man knocked on his window "Henry, open up!"

He tried to get in Henry's room through the window but it was locked so I got my laser and lasered the lock.

We both got inside. My dad was really close to slapping Henry awake.

I tried to waking up by fanning the sewage smell onto him.

"Ugh, what is that smell?" Henry questioned

"I'm that smell!" I pointed to myself

"Wh-- Captain Man? Danger Girl? What are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here?" Captain Man questioned him

"Huh?"

"I called you ninety minutes ago and I yold you we had an emergency."

"Oh, right. I.. I guess I fell asleep."

"i gUesS I fElL aSlEeP!" I mocked

Henry sniffed me "Ugh, why do you stink?"

"We stink because we just spent the last hour chasing three criminals through the Swellview sewer!" I explained "You know what's down in the Swellview sewer!?"

"Poop?"

"Poop!"

"Henry! Hey!" Piper banged on the door

"Oh, my sister."

"We have a lot to talk about." Captain Man said

"Just get--" Henry pushed us away

"Don't you push me!" I exclaimed as me and my dad jumped out the window

"I'm okay!" my dad reassured

"I'm not." I groaned

After Henry finished talking to his sister we walked back inside.

I tapped Henry on the shoulder which made him scream.

"Don't sneak up on me like that."

"You disappointed me tonight." Captain Man said

"I'm disappointing everybody. People should just call me 'Kid Disappointment'"

"Alright well, just tell us what the problem is." I sat beside him and rubbed his back

"Time. School. Working for Ray. My family. It's just.. it's a lot to handle." Henry explained

"Well.. I do know a guy who could get rid of your family." Captain Man offered

"What!?" Me and Henry exclaimed at the same time

"Kidding. I joke." my dad held his hands up "I do know a guy."

Henry and I exchanged creeped out looks.

"Oh! I think I can fix your problem."

"Really?"

"Meet us at headquarters tomorrow."

"I'm there."

My dad noticed a picture of Henry's mom "Heyy," he picked up a picture of Henry's mom "Who's this?"

"My mom."

"Niiiiiice. She uh.. she still married to your dad or--"

"Yes."

"Does she ever seem lonely or bored to you?"

"Go home, Ray."

My dad walked up to the window.

"The picture, Ray."

"Yeah, all right." My dad handed him the picture

"Bye, Hen." I stood up from the sofa

"Bye Dri.."

"Sweet dreams."

"You too."

Gooch was scanning Henry's brain waves while he was tied to a chair

"What's that thing doing?" Henry asked

"Scanning your brain." I answered

"Oh, cool."

"Take a deep breath." Gooch said

Henry takes a deep breath.

"Now go, ooodle ooodle ooodle"

"Oodle ooodle ooodle."

"No, you're off key. It's ooodle ooodle ooodle." Gooch corrected him

"Pretty sure it was ooodle ooodle ooodle." I stepped in

We all said "ooodle ooodle ooodle" at the same time.

"Why am I doing this!?" Henry asked

My dad walked in "Relax, kid."

"I can't. I got a huge makeup test tomorrow and I got to study. And you guys are making me go, ooodle ooodle ooodle."

"Oh no, it's ooodle ooodle ooodle--" Gooch got cut off

"I don't care! I don't have time to relax."

"Exactly." I said

"Your only problem is a lack of time." My dad said

"Imagine if you could do all your studying for school in only thirty seconds." I added

"How can I learn anything in 30 seconds?" Henry wondered

"With this," my dad pulled out a weird looking machine "The Cerebral Data Transducer. Or as we call it, the H.R.Z"

"This device can transfer knowledge from a data source." I explained

"Directly into your brain at ninety million digibles."

Henry looked amused "Why am I locked in a chair?"

"Do you want to get a good grade on your Puerto Rican math test?" my dad asked

"History." I corrected

"Same thing."

"Let us begin the procedure." Gooch declared

"Yeah let's do it." he put the machine on Henry's head "Now, I'll set the computer to acquire all the world's historical knowledge on Puerto Rico." my dad explained

"Woah, intense." Henry said "But uh, will this hurt?"

"Yes, very much." I answered

"What?"

"Power up."

Me and my dad powered up the machine.

"Wait so, how will I know--- WOAH, IT HURTS--" Henry was screaming in pain and I couldn't help but feel bad. But as long as he doesn't quit then it's fine.

"Just enjoy it!" I yelled over his screams

Henry kept screaming in agony. Me and my dad stood beside him and posed while Gooch took a photo of us.

Once the transfer was completed my dad powered off the machine which made Henry stop screaming.

I took off the machine off his head and realeased him from the chair.

"Well?" I asked

"That hurt bad."

"Yes, but tell us about Puerto Rico." Gooch ordered

"I don't know anything about-- Puerto Rico is a series of islands with a land mass of three thousand, five hundred square miles,"

Me, my dad, and Gooch all looked at each other proudly as Henry went on.

"--and a population of three point six million people. Its glorious beaches and lush rainforests are the perfect setting for a wedding, bar mitzvah, or growing bananas." Henry explained as he chuckled amusingly "Woah." he turned to me "I know Puerto Rico."

"Indeed." Gooch agreed

"You see? with this you can learn anything you need to know for school in a matter of seconds." my dad explained

"Wait. You think it's cheating?" Henry asked

"Eh.."

"No, not really."

"It's a gray area."

"I guess. Anyway, I really doing this appreciate you for me."

"Uh-oh. It's the side effects.." I pointed out

"What side effects?" Henry asked

"You see, after you use the H.R.Z., when you talk you might mix up your words for a few days." my dad explained

"Well, you could have before that you told me." Henry mixed up his words again

"The important thing is that now you're going to do well on your test." Gooch reassured Henry

"Yeah--" Henry got cut off by a horrifying girl scream "Why did I just--"

"That's another side effect." I pointed out "Sometimes you'll scream like--" I got cut off by Henry's girly scream "A girl." I added

"For a few days." Gooch explained

"Oh, so I'm a girl like a days for a few screams. Wait." Henry screamed like a girl again which made me snigger until my dad smacked my arm and I cleared my throat.

My dad turned to me "You guys want to get lunch?"

"Yeah."

"Sure."

"What?"

Me, my dad, and Gooch all left before Henry could finish his sentence

Henry invited me to his house, I didn't know why but I decided not to ask.

I knocked on the window and Henry opened it.

"Hey Hen,"

"Audrianna, Hey."

"I heard you passed your Puerto Rican history test. Congrats."

"Thanks Dri."

"Soo why'd you invite me to your place at 12AM?"

"Hangout wanted with just to you."

I smiled "What?"

"Just. Wanted. To. Hangout. With. You. Perfect."

I giggled "Oh, Okay."

We both sat down the couch.

"So.."

"Sooo."

We just stared at each other akwardly, waiting for the other to say something.

I waited for him to say something so I looked out the window and focuzed my gaze at the stars.

I loved stargazing because it reminded me of my mother. My dad said my mom's name was Stella. Which meant "star".

My mom died while my dad was on a mission. I never got to see her because, well. I was a baby when she died.

My dad keeps telling me that my mom abandonned me. But I never believed him. What? My mom faked her death so she could abandon me? That's rubbish.

I always told myself that she died and that she loved me too much to abandon me. Because that's the truth... right?

Henry interrupted my daydreaming "Dri?"

"Henry.."

"You love stars, don't you?"

"It reminds me of my mother, she died when I was really young. So I never got to see her."

"Well, I'm sure she's one of those stars, watching you from above. She must be incredibly proud of how far her daughter has come."

And this is exactly why I love Henry. He always knew how to cheer me up and he knows exactly what to say to me.

"I know.." I smiled lightly

Henry rubbed my shoulder "Your mom must be so proud of you. That's why you need to stay strong.. not for me. For her.
