Audrianna's POV

"Henry, please come chat with dad!" Piper pleaded

"No, we're doing a science project for school."

"But I'm trying to text Marla and dad keeps talking about his dumb hotel."

"Sorry." Henry said dryly

"Why am I even helping you guys with this project? I don't even go to the same school as you guys.." I furrowed my eyebrows

"Because you're smart too." Jasper replied

I shrugged.

"Okay. Now we take the egg and shake it thusly." he began shaking the egg vigorously

"Yeah, shake that egg!"

"Show that egg who's boss!"

"Shake that egg!"

"Shake it baby!"

"Scramble that unborn chicken!"

"Woo! Yeah!"

"Yeah!"

By the time Jasper was done shaking, he was sweating so much. I'm estimating that's atleast a gallon of sweat.

"Man, I've never seen anyone sweat so much." Charlotte said

"Jasp, do you need your rag..?" I ask

"It runs in my family.." Jasper explained "My mom sweats in her sleep."

A timer started beeping.

"Okay, times up." Henry stopped the timer before walking up to his textbook "Now it says to turn on the power and then put the egg on the electrometer."

"Okay.." Jasper put on his safety glasses before turning on the electrometer and placed the egg on top.

"Now what?" I ask

"We wait." he went closer to the egg "See? The egg is already starting to smell kind of--" the egg splattered on Jasper's face

Charlotte snickered "Was it supposed to do that?"

"No it was not supposed to do that!" Jasper snapped

Suddenly, Mrs. Hart barged in "I'm alright! It's okay! It's fine! Nobody freak out!" she slammed the door

Everybody went back to what they were doing.

"Mrs. Hart?" I walked up to her "What happened?"

I always thought of Mrs. Hart as the mother I wish I had. She always welcomed me and treated me like her own, and that was definitely a nice experience.

"I was attacked!"

"What?" my eyes widened

"What?" Henry, Charlotte, and Jasper walked up to Mrs. Hart

"Did she say attacked?" Mr. Hart asked

"What happened?" Charlotte questioned

"Are you okay?" Jasper asked

"Yeah, yeah. I wasn't hurt or anything, but I was walking to my car and a man jumped out from a bush and he snatched my purse!" Mrs. Hart explained

"What?!"

"No way!"

"Whoa, that's so bad!"

"Did you call the cops?" Henry questioned

"Yes, I gave them a description of the guy, I filed a report--" Mrs. Hart walked up to Jasper "Why is Jasper so sweaty?"

"I shook an egg." Jasper grinned

"Oh."

"Well, I'm sorry you lost your purse." Charlotte said

"Me too. I lost my phone, and my wallet, oh, and my Yotally Togurt punch card."

I gasped "That's awful!"

"No way!"

"What!?"

"Yeah, I know, and I was just one punch away from a free medium yogurt!" Mrs. Hart exclaimed

"Dangit!"

I went up to Junk N' Stuff and I saw my dad and Henry "I have been awoken from my slumber, what happened?"

"Henry's mom got purse snatched." My dad answered

"I know." I yawned

"We got to help her."

"Ray, I'm sure that Henry's father is taking good care of her." Gooch reassured

"Nah, my dad's out of town. Also why were you sleeping at two in the afternoon?"

My dad pulled Henry closer to his face "He's out of town!?"

I continued eating my chips, just watching everything unfold.

"Yeah, but I can handle things." Henry reassured

I chuckled "No you can't."

"Why can't I?"

"You're but a boy!" my dad answered as he popped a gumball in his mouth

"Maybe, but I'm almost Fourteen years old and I've been your sidekick long enough that I can--" before Henry got to finish, my dad ran out the door

"He's just leaving while I'm talking."

"You want a chip?"

Henry shrugged, snatching the chip from me.

"This chair vibrates." Gooch blurted out

"Okay..?"

Henry and I walked in his house and saw my dad as Captain Man.

"Oh, Henry, Dria. Look who heard about my purse and came to help." Mrs. Hart grinned

"Wow." he said dryly "Captain Man, in our house.. again."

"My son, Henry." Mrs. Hart gestured to Henry "And his girlfriend, Audrianna."

"We're not dating!" we both said

Captain Man glared at me and Henry "Ah, yes, I remember."

Henry smiled awkwardly "So, why are you here?"

"To protect your mother." Captain Man answered as he wrapped his arms around Mrs. Hart's shoulder.

"And me." Piper added

"Yeah, sure."

"Protect her from what?"

"Well, whoever snatched her purse also has everything that was inside the purse."

"I told him about the yogurt coupon." Mrs. Hart added

I stared at my dad for a second before walking out but unfortunately,Henry grabbed my arm and pulled me back next to him.

"Right, and the criminal also has your mom's driver's license and that means he has this address." Captain Man explained

"And my keys." Mrs. Hart added

"So?" Henry asked

"Captain Man says he might come here to the house and break in." Mrs. Hart said

"That's very true." Captain Man walked closer to Mrs. Hart "Can I make you some hot cocoa?"

"Ew. Gross. Barf." I said dryly

Henry pulled Captain Man away from his mom "Look, we appreciate your help, but if the guy who took her purse does come here, I can handle him."

"Really? What if he does this?" Captain Man pinned him on the ground

"What!? Hey, hey, hey! Whoa, whoa, whoa!" he sat on Henry's head "What are you doing!?"

I sat down on their couch as I continued to watch the scene "This is entertaining."

"I'm pretending to be the bad guy. Who has just broken into this house and is now sitting on your head."

"Ha!" Piper crouched down "Come on, Henry, show us how you'd protect us now."

"Please get off my head." Henry demanded

"No, I will not get off your head." Captain Man turned to Mrs. Hart and Piper "That's what a bad guy might say in this situation."

Mrs. Hart and Piper nodded.

"I don't think this would ever really happen."

"Oh, yes, it would."

Captain Man ignored me "As a superhero, I see this kind of thing everyday."

"Do you see a sleep deprived teenager everyday?" I ask

"Oh, yes I do." my dad gave me a look as I smiled cheekily

"No one's going to sit on my head!" Henry exclaimed

"Mmm. I'm sitting on your head."

"Well, I wish you'd stop."

My dad sighed before getting up and releasing him.

"Ha! Your hair's all smushed." I grinned

"Mrs. Hart, when does your husband return from Baltimore?" Captain Man questioned

"Not until Monday."

"Hmm. Alright, I'll do it."

"Do what?"

"Stay here until Mr. Hart comes home."

I glared at him "And.. what about your daughter?" I gave him a sharp glare "Who's probably home alone wondering where her daddy is right now as we speak."

"Eh, she'll manage." Captain Man shrugged

"No, way!" Piper beamed

"Wow, thanks!" Mrs. Hart smiled widely

"Can Kid Danger and Danger Girl come stay with us too?" Piper asked

"No!" Me and Henry both yelled

"I mean, I mean. No- I mean, I don't think so. Can they? They probably can't." Henry stuttered

Mrs. Hart and Piper turned to Captain Man.

"No, no, no." he shook his head

"Why not?" Piper asked

"Because... Kid Danger and Danger Girl are staring in a musical." Captain Man reasoned and I facepalmed myself

"Really?" Piper asked

"A play?" Mrs. Hart questioned

"A musical play." Captain Man snwered

"Are you sure?" I stared at my dad "Because, I've never heard about Kid Danger and Danger Girl being in musicals."

"Oh yeah, Kid Danger is playing Newt Scamander and Danger Girl is playing Tina Goldstein." Captain Man laughed "Oh, how Kid Danger and Danger Girl love to sing songs and dance about."

"Don't you dare disrespect Fantastic Beasts!" I glared at him

"Aw, that's adorable." Mrs. Hart put her hands on her chest

"Yeah.." Captain Man smirked

I walked in Henry's house and this is the first thing I hear:

"Henry, isn't there something else that we should be talking about?" Captain Man said as he grabbed a piece of paper from an envelope.

"Like?"

"Ooh, busted!" I teased

"Shut up, Dri." he scoffed

"Like this report card that came in the mail today." Captain Man showed Henry the report card

"Ah, geez." Henry sighed

"I noticed you got a C plus in social studies." Captain Man sat down

"You know, you're not being very cool right now."

"You know what is very cool?"

"What?"

"Getting good grades."

"Yeah, great. Thanks for the talk, it really turned me around. Bye." Henry grabbed my hand and started to walk away but Captain Man stopped him.

"Woah, woah, woah. Where you guys going?"

"To see a movie with Jasper and Charlotte?" I answered

"What movie? It better be rated G."

"Dude."

"I mean it. No bad words, no mild violence, and especially no brief nudity."

"Oh my God." I scrunched my nose in disbelief

Jasper and Charlotte barged in.

"Don't bother him.." Charlotte warned

"Captain Man!" Jasper yelled

"Ugh." she groaned

"Ugh." Captain Man groaned

Jasper slammed the door shut and ran to Captain Man "I can't believe you're really here!"

"Why'd you tell Jasper he's at Henry's house?" I turned to Charlotte

"I didn't. Piper's been posting pics of him all over the web."

"Hey, maybe after you're done protecting Henry's mom, you can come over to my house." Jasper suggested

"Uh.. sure. Just text me your address." Captain Man said

"Okay." Jasper pulled out his phone "What's your phone number?"

"Oh, it's uh.. five, nine, four.. triangle slash blue."

"Got it! Wait."

Mrs. Hart walked downstairs "Hey, you guys, what are we all doing for lunch?"

"Uh, I got plans." Henry said

"I wanna sleep." I said, unfazed

"I thought maybe we could go out for lunch." Captain Man suggested

"Ooh, that sounds fun." Mrs. Hart grinned

"Doesn't it?" he smirked

"Uh, we're going to be late for the movie." Charlotte said

"Yeah, let's go." Henry grabbed my hand and we started walking out the door

"Ho, ho, ho, hold on there, plaid shirt and hoodie." Captain Man stopped us

I looked at my hoodie "What?"

"Don't you have online classes?" my dad turned to Henry "And don't you have a social studies test on Monday?"

"My classes finished an hour ago." I muttered

"No." Henry denied

"Yeah, we do." Jasper said

"Jasper."

"I think your mother and I feel it would be best if you stayed home and studied." Captain Man said

"Oh, wow. So you're suddenly Henry's dad?" I rolled my eyes, a bit hurt from my dad's statement

"What? Mom." Henry turned to his mom

"I don't think we should argue with a superhero."

"Come on, I don't wanna study on a Saturday." Henry pleaded

My dad clicked his tongue "Am I gonna have to sit on somebody's head again?"

"Hey, you're not the boss of me, okay?"

"Well.."

"Well.."

"Well.."

"Whatever. You're not my dad and you're not allowed to sit on my head."

He sat on his head.

Henry groaned "Okay, I'll stay home and study!"

"You promise?" Captain Man asked

"Yes. Now please get your butt out of my ear!"

I snuck in Henry's room through his window and saw him studying.

"Hey."

"Hey, Dri."

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah."

"You sure? I don't wanna distract you from your studying."

"No, it's fine."

I smiled as Henry helped me get in his room.

"So why are you here?"

"I missed my dad. And well, you're kind of my only hope whenever I feel like shit.

Henry nodded his head in response.

"He hasn't been paying attention to me lately. Ever since he agreed to stay here."

"Oh.."

"I feel like I don't have a dad anymore. He's just-- he's been distant lately. Like I'm not even his daughter anymore."

"Hey, I'm sure everything will be back to normal. I mean, this isn't permanent. Right?"

"Right. By the way, can I stay at your place?"

"Why?"

"I don't feel like going back to the Man Cave. It just feels empty in there."

"Sure, then."

"Thanks, Henry." I grinned softly

THIRD PERSON POV

It was seven am in the morning. Henry was already awake but Audrianna was still asleep beside him.

He figured his mom and Captain Man were already downstairs, so he had two options.

A) Be a good best friend and gently wake Audrianna up

Or

B) Push her off the bed

As a good friend, Henry had to choose B.

The boy pushed her off the bed which seemed to have woken her up.

"Asshole!" I spat out, before getting up from the floor

Henry threw me one of his sweaters and black jeans since I didn't bring spare clothes.

He was a bot taller than me so the jeans were a bit long but I liked baggy jeans anyways.

"Hey. What's going on down here?" Henry asked as we both walked down the stairs

"Oh, Henry. Look. Captain Man made breakfast for the whole family." Mrs. Hart smiled

"Oh." I said dryly as I took a pancake from the plate

"Hey, how come Dria's here so early? Ooh, did she stay over?" Mrs. Hart gave us a teasing smirk

"She was alone at her house, I was being nice, it meant nothing.." Henry sighed, turning Captain Man "Uh-.. Isn't that dad's robe?"

"Yeah, I found it in the dryer."

"It looks like it fits you perfectly." Mrs. Hart complimented

"Well, it's a little small on the biceps, but what can you do?"

"Anddd I lost my apetite." I put my pancake back on my plate

"Uh, you could wear your own robe and sleep at your own place." Henry put his hand on Captain Man's shoulder

"Henry.. don't be rude." Mrs. Hart reprimanded "Captain Man is being nice enough to stay here and protect us in case that purse snatcher comes to the house."

"Oh, yeah, the purse snatcher." I walked up to my dad "So. What have you been doing to catch him."

"I have alot of good ideas."

"Like what?"

"What?"

"What ideas do you have to catch the purse snatcher?"

"Well, for starters, you know I have sidekicks, Kid Danger and Danger Girl?"

"Oh, yeah. We've heard of them." I agreed

"Well, since I'm Kid Danger and Danger Girl's boss, maybe I'll make them put on a pretty dress and carry purses throughthr most dangerous part of town late at night. And maybe the snatcher will take the bait and attack them." mh dad glared at us

"I..I don't think that's a good idea." Henry protested

"If you make me put on a sparkly pink dress, I will blow up the Man Cave." I whispered to him

"Okay, so you guys want to keep talking about this or you wanna sit down and enjoy some mancakes?"

"Mancakes please." Henry said

"I'd rather slam my tongue on a car door." I followed Henry to the table

"Hey, I heard on the radio they're doing family portraits at the mall today for half off." Mrs. Hart said

"Ooh, maybe we should go get some family photos." Captain Man suggested

"I think that's a mantastic idea." Mrs. Hart agreed

Captain Man and Mrs. Hart chuckled.

"Piper, put on something cute! We're going to take some family photos!" Mrs. Hart yelled

"Okay!"

"Hey. Dad's in Baltimore." Henry pointed iut

"I know. But Captain Man can fill in for your dad." Mrs. Hart suggested

"Oh no. No, no, no. Okay." he smiled widely as he pat my shoulder

Henry and I walked out of the elevator to the Man Cave.

"Hi, everyone." Henry greeted

"Hi." I said dryly

"We're busy." Gooch said

"What are you guys wearing?" Charlotte ask

"A poncho. And rubber boots." Henry stomped his feet like a child

"Why? It was barely raining." Charlotte questioned

"We know that." I said

"But 'Captain Dad' still made us wear all this stuff." Henry said

"And he made us carry this." Henry opened his umbrella revealing a floral design

"Hey, I might have some good news for you. Come here." Charlotte walked to the monitors

"What?"

"I was thinking about your mom's purse so I went online and look what I found for sale." she showed a picture of a purse and it looked identical to Mrs. Hart's.

"Whoa, that's my mom's purse!"

"That's what I thought!"

"Zoom in." I ordered

Charlotte zoomed in.

"Used Kate Spod purse. Recently stolen." Henry read

"You think they wouldn't put that in the ad." I ask

"Right?" Charlotte agreed

"So, what's our plan?"

"Well.." Charlotte got interrupted by Gooch's massage chair making weird noises.

The three of us looked at each other before Charlotte stood up "We call the phone number on that ad, say we want to buy the purse, and have the guy who's selling it bring it to your house, and then Captain Man can get him."

"Yeah, and then Captain Man can move out of Henry's house." I agreed

"Uh-huh."

Gooch's massage chair started making weird noises again "It started! Quick!" Gooch sat down on the chair but the engine backfired "Dang it!" A part of the chair fell.

We barged in Henry's house.

"Hi everyone." Henry greeted

"It's us." Charlotte declared

"Did a guy named axel show up here yet?" I ask

"Axel?" Piper asked

"No one's shown up here." Captain Man answered

I sighed in relief "Good."

"Who's Axel?" Mrs. Hart asked

"He's the guy who--" I looked up and saw the picture hung above the fireplace "What the--"

"Really? Over the fireplace? Really?" Henry complained

"Who's Axel?" Piper asked

"The guy who stole your mom's purse." Charlotte answered

Mrs. Hart gasped "You found him?"

"Yeah, we found him trying to sell it online."

"I found it." Charlotte corrected

"We found it." Henry argued back

"I found it."

"Alright."

"He's on his way here with the purse." I said

"Because he thinks we're gonna buy it for him." Henry added

"Ooh, well what time is he supposed to--" before Mrs. Hart could finish, we heard the doorbell ring

"He's here!" Charlotte exclaimed

"Quick, what's the plan?" Mrs. Hart asked

"Uh.. we all sneak out the back way and go to the zoo." Captain Man said

"How does that help his mom get her purse back!?" I ask

The doorbell ringed again.

"Uhm.. just a sec!" Henry yelled "Go hide." he ordered Captain Man

"Alright!" Captain Man hid behind the sofa

"Okay, everyone just sit around an act like everything's normal." I said

"Right."

"Okay."

We all sat down on the sofa and pretended to do something.

"Wait. What if he recognizes me?" Mrs. Hart asked

"She's right!" Captain Man stood up from his hiding spot "Quick, you better come hide here right by me. Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

"Okay!" Mrs. Hart hid beside Captain Man behind the sofa

The doorbell ringed again and Charlotte answered it "Hi, welcome to this house. Won't you come in?" she smiled widely

"Yeah, okay." The guy went inside

"So.. how much for the purse?" Henry asked

"Oh, well, the ad said--" before the guy could finish, Henry snatched the purse

"Ha! Now you don't have it!"

"Dude--"

"Captain Man!" I yelled

Captain Man stood up with Mrs. Hart from their hiding place.

"Aw, no way. Captain Man lives here?"

Captain Man wrapped his arm around Mrs. Hart's shoulder.

"No he does not." I snapped making him let go of Mrs. Hart

"Whatever, man. I guess I'm busted."

"Yeah. Which means you get your purse back." Henry threw his purse to his mom, which she catched "And Captain Man doesn't have to stay here anymore."

"Now, now, wait, wait, wait a minute. We can't be sure he's the real criminal." Mh dad said

"I am. It was all me, man."

"Can I see that for a second?" Captain Man took Mrs. Hart's purse "Come with me."

He and the robber went outside and my dad threw the purse at him "Now, I want you to hold on to that purse and don't escape. Because if you escape, I might not be able to find you again and take you to jail. No one's gonna be watching you."

"You're gonna leave him out there with the purse?" I asked

"Look I realize it may seem like this case is solved, but just to be safe, Maybe I should stay here for another month or two." Captain Man reasoned

"Okay, that's it. Captain Man, I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I think you just want to stay here and pretend to be the dad in our family." Henry said

"Cough, when you already have a perfectly fine daughter, cough." I muttered

"Henry, be nice."

"No, no. Ma'am, they're both right."

"I love being a superhero, with all these cool devices, wearing this snug suit that makes me look awesome. I have this amazing daughter who always helps me out. But sometimes I get lonely, even with her. And over these past few days, I guess I got carried away with how nice it feels to be part of a complete family. Especially since.. my daughter never grew up with one."

I checked outside the door "Aw, man! The dude ran away!"

"Well, go get him." Captain Man demanded

"Me?"

"Hurry."

Everyone talked at once before I walked out the door to get the criminal.

I saw him by the street "Hey!"

"What?"

"Shut up, gimme the purse."

"No!"

"Alright you know what?" I tackled the man on the floor, pinning him to the ground.

I saw Mr. Hart walk by "Hey, Mr. Hart!"

"Audrianna?"

"How was Baltimore?" I asked as the man kept squirming under my grip

"Good? What happened at home?"

"Alot of things.."

"Oh. Bye?"

"Bye."

Mr. Hart walked away in confus.

I continued punching the man repetitively until I finally got the purse

"C'mere." I lifted the man and walked all the way back to Henry's house

I was panting heavily by the time I got there "Well. I caught him!"

They only stared at me.

"You're welcome!"

"Charlotte, go sit in the chair." my dad demanded

"No."

"Audria--"

"Pass."

"Henry, go sit in the chair."

"Alright." Henry shrugged before getting up and sitting on the chair

"Okay. Get ready to relax and enjoy the ultimate massage." Gooch said as he turned on the chair

The chair started shaking.

"Oh, yes!" Gooch said

I covered my ears with how loud the chair was.

The chair fell apart as Henry fell on the ground
