Audrianna's POV

It had been three days, fifteen hours, eighteen minutes, and twenty-three- no. Twenty-nine seconds since Henry and I kissed.

Yet, I still think about it. Every night.

Anyways, Charlotte and I were trying to get the machines and systems work, they've been malfunctioning ALL DAY.

"Gooch? Hey!" she called out "Gooch, are you there??"

"Mama." a baby on the monitor said

"Okay. That is not Gooch." I blurted out

I tried to test out the couch and it span around uncontrollably while I was on it.

"Ahhhhhh!" The couch launched me off which made me hit the ground "Ow!"

Charlotte helped me get back up to my feet and turned back to the monitors.

She groaned "What is up with this thing?? Gooch!"

Gooch finally popped up on the monitor as I sighed in relief.

"Go for Gooch."

"Where are Henry and my dad?"

"There was an emergency at the Swellview Mall."

"How come they didn't take me with them??" I asked in confusion

Gooch just shrugged in response.

"Ooh, what happened?" Charlotte asked

"Santa Claus was running around without his red pants."

"Oh, that's why." I shrugged.

I've always had a weird fear for Santa Claus. Something about him was just eerie and the last Santa the mall hired was a perv.  I sat on his LAP. Never gonna forget about that experience.

"But it's not even Christmas." Charlotte spat out

"Weird right?"

The auto-snacker started beeping "Your hotdog is ready."

I groaned "I didn't order a hotdog!"

"You ordered a hotdog?"

"No! The snack machine is still broken and acting all crazy."

"Repeat-- you're breaking up." Gooch's voice became distorted and the monitor shut down.

"Gooch??" Charlotte asked

A tube went down and my dad got shot down.

"Hey Charlotte, hey muffin."

"Hey, are those Santa's pants?" Charlotte questioned

"Yeah."

"So, where's Henry?" I ask

Dangit.

My dad turned around "He's right-- huh, that's weird. Henry, come down."

"I can't, my tube isn't working."

"Hi, Henry." I greeted

DANGIT.

"Hey, Dri."

"Okay, hang on." my dad pressed some buttons on his remote

Henry's tube went up and down but not completely.

"Ray?"

"Yeah?"

"If you keep doing that, I'm gonna vomit." Henry threatened which made my dad flinch

"Your hotdog is ready." I heard the auto-snacker announce

"What the.."

A dog appeared and I immediately walked up to it. "Ohhhh, he's so precious!!"

"Charlotte, I told you, no pets at work."

"That's not my pet. That's my lunch whch I did not order."

"Can we keep it!?" I beamed

"No."

"Aww."

My dad groaned "I thought I fixed that thing. Why does it keep--"

The couch started spinning and my dad groaned again.

"Now, why is that spinning??" Charlotte asks

"I don't know. Because it's broken?" I answered sarcastically

"We've got to find a good repairman!" Captain Man pressed more buttons, trying to fix the other stuff "Aw, not my sprocket too. Gooch!"

Gooch popped up on the monitor "Go for Gooch."

"Just get your tool box and come down here. We got alot of stuff to fix."

"Ray, you know there is only one repairman who can fix things down there."

"He's right dad. You gotta call him."

"I'm not calling him."

"You need him."

"No I don't need him and I will not let him back into my Man Cave. Bye."

"Don't you press that but--" Gooch got cut off by my dad hanging up on him

Charlotte sighed "Who were you talking about?"

"Schwoz!" my dad answered

"What's a Schwoz?"

"This guy that used to work for my dad. He built most of this place, all this cool stuff." I explained

My dad stood up "He developed the technology we use, built all the weapons and devices."

"Schwoz is a genius." I added

"He sounds awesome." Charlotte smiled

"Awesome guys don't steal your girlfriend!" he blurted out

"Ooh, wow."

"Yeah, that's when I said when I found out she'd been Schwoz'd."

"Here we go again." I muttered under my breath

The tubes started beeping as Kid Danger fell out of the tube hole.

"Oh, man."

"Henry!" My eyes widened as I ran over to him to help him up

Dangit.

"That.. that really hurt me." Henry pointed over to the tubes

My dad's remote started beeping "Oh, man."

"What's wrong?" Charlotte wonders

"Santa Claus jumped out of the police car and now he's running down Swellview Boulevard."

"But.. you've got his pants.." I pointed out

"Exactly. Let's go. You coming muffin?"

"Pass." I scrunched my nose

My dad grabbed Santa's pants as he and Kid Danger went under the tubes.

Kid Danger pressed his belt buckle as his tube went down but my dad's tube won't go down

"Come on!" my dad yelled

"Let's just both take my tube."

"All right." he scooted closer to him

Kid Danger pressed his belt buckle and the other tube went down.

"Seriously!?"

"Geez!"

The couch started spinning, the sprocket dood opened and closed, and the tubes were acting up again.

"You better call Schwoz!!" I yelled

"Never!"

"Who's Schwoz?" Kid Danger asked

"Oh, he's this guy who used to work for me a long--" my dad got interrupted by the tube crashing onto his head

"OW!!" my dad held his head

Henry's school allowed me to watch during his basketball practice soo I was there.

Let me summarize it. Henry's team are pretty trash at basketball, and their coach recruited some guy who was "fourteen years old". He looked WAY older and taller.

I wasn't really paying attention during their chat because my head still hurt, but I started paying attention when their team started positioning on the court.

"Hart, you better win this for your little girlfriend over there." Henry's coach pointed to me which made me cover my face in embarassment.

"She's not my girlfriend!" he objected

When the game started, Henry immediately got knocked down on the floor and my eyes widendd.

Okay, I take back what I said about Henry's team being trash. They were HORRIBLE

Shawn ended up winning. Which wasn't even a surprise, he must've been a professional player or something.

"Kaboom! Who saw that? I saw that." Coach Bix exclaimed

Coach Bitch- I mean, Bix walked up to Henry, "Oh look, Henry Hart's on the ground. Maybe he wants some company down there." he laid next to Henry and started mocking him "lOoK aT Me i'M hEnRy hArT, i'M oN tHe fLoOr aNd i'M oFf tHe tEaM."

Henry quickly stood up "What? Off the what??"

Coach Bix stood up "Shawn plays point guard, you play point guard. Shawn is awe-some. You're aw-ful. So you're off the team."

"But that's unfair." I stood up from my seat

"Aw, look Henry, you're girlfriend is defending you--"

"Not my girlfriend!" - "Not my boyfriend!"

He turned back to Henry "Oh, you want fair? You want to stay on the team? Okay, hot pants. All you gotta do is beat Shawn in a game of one-on-one."

"But--"

"I'll even give you three whole days to practice." Coach Bix turned to the man "How does that sound, Shawn?"

"Well, actually I think that maybe--"

"Just read the card."

"My name is Shawn, I'm fourteen.. years old."

While Henry and I were walking back to the Man Cave, he was FURIOUS.

He kept on with his ranting while I rubbed his back trying to calm him down.

"It's unbelievable!" He turned to me "Can you believe him!?"

"Okay, just calm do--"

"I can't! That Shawn Corbit guy is way better than me! There's no way I'll beat him!" Henry sighed

As Henry kept on ranting, I noticed his hand held my hand tighter.

I completely forgot we were holding hands, and when he reminded me of it, the butterflies made their way into my stomach.

He didn't even seem to care that we were holding hands and that our shoulders were touching, he just kept on ranting.

We made our way down into the Man Cave. Henry walked out the elevator furiously.

"Hey! Something's wrong with that dumb elevator!" he complained

"Why are you in such a bad mood?" my dad questioned

"Because, I got kicked off my dumb basketball team."

"Are you good at basketball?"

"No."

"His team is horrible.." I whispered to myself

"Wow, Dri. I love you too." Henry rolled his eyes

The couch started spinning again.

"Charlotte! You made the couch spin again!" my dad whined

"Why don't you hop on it and take a ride?" Charlotte's comment made me snicker.

Gooch popped up on the monitor "Ray. I found a repairman. He's on his way down."

"What? You can't just send some stranger down here until we have him checked out."

"I got to go."

I heard a crash in the elevator. Must be the repairman.

The door opened and it was Schwoz!

He set his toolbox down "Hey."

My dad clenched his jaw "Schwoz." he walked closer to him "Get out."

"Come on, Ray. Don't be like that."

"I mean it. Out of here!"

"That's Schwoz?" Henry asks

"You must be new sidekick, Kid Danger."  Schwoz shook his hand

"Schwoz!" I beamed

"Audrianna!" He pulled me in for a hug "Good to see you!"

"You too!"

"Don't you talk to Henry and Dria." my dad stepped in front of him "You keep your Schwoz cooties off of them."

"Come on, man. It's been three years."

"Yeah, since you stole my girlfriend." my dad followed him

"If it makes you feel any better, I dumped her two weeks later."

"Why would that make me feel better!?"

"Can I get something to eat?"

"You could if that hunk a junk snack machine you built actually worked." my dad said, still furious

"I check it." Schwoz walked to the auto-snacker

"Don't order a hotdog." Charlotte warned

I zoned out when Schwoz started fixing it. Looked too complicated to me.

I snapped back to reality when Schwoz finally spoke "Now.. would anyone like a nacho tower?"

"Nacho tower." the machine repeated

Schwoz held out a nacho tower which made my jaw drop.

"Woahhhh." Henry turned to me "Nacho tower."

"He fixed the auto snacker!" Charlotte pointed out

"I don't care. You ruined our friendship." my dad pointed at Schwoz "You're not going to fix that with a platter of hot Mexican treats.

"Well, I forgive you." I stuffed a nacho in my mouth

"Me too." Charlotte agreed as Henry nodded along

"Look, if you want me to leave, just tell me, leave."

"Leave, leave, leave, leave, leave!" my dad repeated

"You want me to stay?"

He stood up, almost hitting Schwoz .

"Because I could fix up all the broken schtuff around this place."

"Do it." I gave my dad a serious look, making him slightly backed away from me

He crossed his arms "No!"

"Let him fix the broken schtuff." Henry insisted

"Alright! Fix the broken schtuff!" my dad gave in

I smiled before taking another nacho.

"And give me a nacho."

Schwoz was fixing all the broken stuff while me, my dad, and Henry were sitting on the couch eating the nacho tower.

Henry had his arm around my shoulder and I could feel my dad's eyes piercing through his soul.

Schwoz walked up to us "Now. Who's ready for technological fun?"

"I'm down."

"Yeah."

He went under one of the tubes and it encased him "Up the tube!" Schwoz got shot up

"Down the tube!" he got shot down as both the tubes went up

"He fixed the tube!" Henry pointed out

"And I fixed the TVs and the sprocket!" Schwoz beamed  "And watch this. Security lasers on."

A bunch of lasers popped up.

"Ooh, lasers." Henry touched one of the lasers which shocked him "Ow."

"Why would you touch it?" I furrowed my eyebrows

"Security off." the lasers disappeared

Schwoz hopped on the couch "Smoochie music on."

Slow dance music started playing as he started dancing.

"Smoochie music off." my dad demanded, making Schwoz turn off the music

"Woah. He is impressive." I applauded

"Yeah, yeah." my dad said dryly

"Too bad you can't use your technical skills to make me a better basketball player." Henry spat out

"Hey.. who says I can't make you a better basketball player, huh?"

"I did." Henry suddenly beamed "Was I wrong?"

Schwoz was putting on some sleeve on Henry's arm.

"Cool sleeve. Feels gooood."

"I've seen better sleeves." my dad rolled his eyes

Schwoz placed a pair of goggles on Henry's head.

"What are the goggles for?" I questioned

"They are wirelessly connected to the sleeve with bloop-toop

"Bloop-toop? But I don't understand how--"

Schwoz made a basketball hoop go down.

Never knew that was there.

"Whoa. I didn't know you guys had a hoop."

"Neither did I." my dad agreed

"And now." Schwoz made a basketball spawn out of nowhere "Take this and shoot the bashket.

Henry was getting ready to shoot but Schwoz stopped him, making him flinch "Wait!"

"What?"

"Close your eyes."

"But I need to see."

"No."

Surprisingly, Henry made a dunk with his eyes closed.

"What!?"

"That's insane!"

"Hey, let me try one." my dad grabbed the ball and threw it at Schwoz, luckily he ducked before it hit him.

"Hey. That's not what balls are for." Schwoz blurted out

"Well, you shouldn't have kissed my girlfriend."

"So, if I wear these goggles and this sleeve thing--"

"You will make bashket every time."

"Oh man, this is amazing. Thanks Schwoz. I'm going to destroy that Shawn Corbit guy!"

"Let us celebrate with smoochie music and whirly lights."

The lights dimmed and whirly lights shone all over the place along with smoochie music.

"Woah. He made whirly lights." I beamed

Henry grabbed my hand and we both hopped on the couch and danced together.

Schwoz, my dad, and I entered the basketball court and saw Henry with his teammates.

I was zoned out so I might've missed a few things.

We sat down beside a hot spanish chick and I could tell my dad was about to hit on her.

"Hey there." my dad began

The lady turned around "Hello.."

"So, you a teacher?"

"Yeah, I teach eighth grade Spanish."

"Caliente." my dad smirked

"Bueno.." the lady smiled

"I am Schwoz."

"You say nothing!" my dad spat out

"Estoy fuera.." I stood up and sat on another bench, alone
(I'm out)

I really didn't feel like dealing with that right now.

A guy around my age sat next to me, he noticed me and smiled warmly as I returned the smile.

"Do you study here? I feel like I've never seen you before."

"Oh, no. I just came here to watch a friend play." I smiled

"I'm William. William Parker. Nice to meet you."

"Audrianna. Nice to meet you too." I smiled warmly at him

We had a bit of eye contact before it got interrupted by the coach "Listen up!"

"This is gonna be a game of one on one.  Playing to ten. The winner stays on the basketball team," Coach Bix turned to Henry "The loser goes home to his mommy."

Henry just looked at him in disbelief.

"Okay, let's get this over with. Henry, your ball."

Coach Bix handed Henry the ball but dropped it before he could grab it.

Henry was failing miserably and Shawn scored a point.

I was getting anxious. I really wanted Henry to win so he doesn't have to get further humiliated. I hate seeing him so miserable.

"Hey, it's fine. I'm sure your friend will make it." William reassured

"I hope so.."

Henry didn't score a single point.

"Henry, try to score this time!" Oliver exclaimed

"Thanks, Oliver!" Henry snapped back sarcastically

The game went on and Henry didn't score a single point.

Coach Bix blew the whistle "Game over! Shawn wins! Have a nice life Henry."

I stood up and walked up to Henry to comfort him but William stopped me.

"Hey, do you want to be friends?"

I smiled "I'd love to.."

"Is it okay if I just call you Dri?"

Dri was a special nickname that Henry gave me. I felt bad letting someone else call me that. But what's the worst that can happen?

"Sure."

"Well, Dri. I was wondering if you'd like to hang out sometime?"

I grinned softly "Sure.."

"Great, wanna meet up at Swellview park tomorrow afternoon?"

"That sounds nice."

"Great. I'll see ya around two?"

"See ya.."

I walked over to Henry and my smile quickly faded when I saw how miserable his match was.

"Hey, you okay..?" I had an apologetic smile on my face

"Yeah. You?"

"Fine, I guess."

"Good."

There was an awkward silence between us until Henry spoke up.

"Are you free tomorrow afternoon?"

"Sorry, no. A guy asked me to hang out with him tomorrow afternoon.."

"Really? who?"

"William."

"Wait-- William? as in William Parker?"

"Yeah.. why..?"

"That guy is a huge playboy!"

"Oh Henry, don't assume so quickly. He seems nice."

"I'm not assuming. He IS a playboy. And you are not going out on a date with him."

"You're not my dad Henry. You have no power over MY love life. And besides, it's not a date!" I crossed my arms

"I dont. But I don't want you to get heartbroken. William had atleast more than five exes. He cheated on all those girls. Used them. Broke their hea-"

"Henry." I snapped "I don't want to hear it." I started to walk out

"Fine! But don't come crying to me if he breaks your heart!"

"Fine!"

"Fine!"

I bursted out the door and saw Shawn walk in on my way out.

I was in the Man Cave with my dad. I heard Henry in the elevator and I immediately stormed out of there.

Henry walked in.

"Muffin, where ya goin'?"

"My room. Don't bother to knock cause I won't answer it." I slammed the door to qmy room and heard Henry sigh loudly

I couldn't make out their conversation but I heard a part of it. The part about me and William.

"What?"

"Yeah. Look, if Dri isn't careful then she could get really heartbroken."

"I'll talk to her later."

The rest of what I heard was about Shawn and his puppy or something.

I mostly zoned out until I felt the sharp pain in my head.

I completely forgot about that.

I just closed my eyes and hoped for the best.

I must've fallen asleep because the next thing I heard was a knock on my front door

"Muffin. Come on we got crime fighting to do."

"I don't wanna come."

"We're rescuing a puppy."

I perked up, still hesitating a bit.

I heard my dad sigh "Henry's not coming with us."

I immediately stood up and blew a bubble and transformed into my Danget Girl suit.

I walked out and saw my dad out the door in his Captain Man suit.

"Let's go Muffin." he gave me a reassuring pat on the back and guided me to the tubes

I felt Henry's eyes on me and I gave him a bitter look.

"Up the tube!" my dad yelled as we got shot up

Captain Man knocked on Coach Bix's door

"Argh, who is it??"

"Look through your peephole." he said in a girl voice

"Alright."

When I saw his eye in the peephole I immediately punched the door and kicked it down while my dad stared at me in shock.

"Captain Man and Danger Girl? Hey I never said you could come in."

"Too bad jerk." my dad said as I opened the dog cage

"Hey. I didn't say you could touch that."

"I didn't ask. So shut your trap." I snapped at him before picking up the puppy "Aww hello sweetie. Did the mean man hurt you?"

"Aw, don't you worry sweetheart." My dad pet the puppy

"You better not take my puppy." Coach Bix threatened

"It's not your puppy. Now, get in the cage." my dad demanded

"What? No! that's for dogs."

"One." I glared at him

"Maybe I'll get in the cage." he didn't hesitate and went inside the cage while my dad locked him in

"Shawn, you can come in now."

He came in and grinned "Lulu!"

I carefully handed him the puppy "Here you go."

"Aw. Thanks, Captain Man and Danger Girl."

"Thank you. For liking puppies." I smiled in awe

"Come on, Lulu. Let's go buy matching sweaters." they walked outside as me and my dad smiled at them

So, I found out that Schwoz got his old room back.

I was currently in my room, getting ready to hang out with William.

my dad saw me walk out of my room and spoke up"Whoa, woah. Where do you think you're going looking like that young lady?"

"I'm just hanging out with a friend."

"Muffin, you're not going out with that William guy."

"Let me guess because he's a 'playboy'? Is that what Henry said?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I said." Henry agreed

"Will you two just stop? I think I can tell whether a boy is playing me. Don't you think?"

"Not with William." Henry grabbed my arm "Look, Dri, I really don't want to see you get hurt." he whispered to me, our faces inches apart

"I'll be fine." I walked in the elevator

"Audrianna Manchester, don't you dare." my dad warned

I pressed the elevator button as the doors closed on them.

I arrived at the park and saw William there, smiling at me.

"Hey.."

"Hey, you look.. beautiful." he grinned

"Thanks, you don't look bad yourself." I nudged his shoulder

He held out his hand for me to take "Shall we?"

I placed my hand on his, our fingers intertwined "We shall." I smiled brightly and he returned it
