Her medium-length hair was flying in all directions, a strong wind blowing Kaiko's hair down. Tired, dark circles underneath and sad green eyes stared straight ahead. The leaves began to turn golden colors, which was one of the most beautiful views for her. The chill was in Tokyo, which meant fall was coming - another period of time that was going to be extremely stressful for the woman. The semester exams were slowly approaching, stress building up in her body day by day. Despite the fact that she was single for a long time now, her life didn't take on colors at all. On the contrary, certain things started to depress her to the point she lost her characteristic person to some extent. The matter of this was, first of all - her quiet admirer, with whom contact didn't improve at all. Yes, they did text from time to time, but it wasn't the same. It seemed as if they couldn't divide their time properly, and the lack of any closeness was killing both of them. She wasn't able to spend the same time amount playing, talking to anyone. During the day she focused on notes and studies, and at night she was a freelance professional. Kenma, in turn, focused mostly on quite complicated and demanding work, barely passing his last year in college. Everything got sad, and when Kaiko finally thought that she had managed to break out of the previous swamp - she fell into another one.

She was sitting on a cold bench, her disappointed gaze fixed on ahead - at the people who were walking in front of her. Some were in a hurry to lectures, others just used their time to chill. Kaiko and Lev had a free period, which is why they were sitting in front of the campus. They talked, the dark-haired girl complaining once again, hoping that Lev would advise her and show support as always. Even so, things have changed around her.

"You see, this relationship is getting too complicated" she sighed sadly, drawing her knees up to chin.

She looked at her friend, who didn't seem to be pleased. Lev didn't act like he was himself, since Kai and Issei broke up. He was still pensive, couldn't understand the simplest things, and he was terribly confused. He couldn't concentrate, which was probably due to a secret he was keeping from Kaiko. Haiba didn't understand why he hadn't been able to tell her that she had actually met Kenma. He wondered if it was a matter of caring for her or the fact that he was just afraid of being left behind at some point. He couldn't find a man or woman, didn't see himself in any relationship, and he actually hated change. Lev didn't want anything to switch in their lives, and it was obvious that if Kaiko and Kenma finally got together - Lev's time would be limited.

"Why can't you just call him?" he asked, sighing aloud at his friend's long repeated complaints.

Kaiko was nibbling at the cuticles, trying to de-stress, and at the same time wondering about a specific answer.

"We haven't talk in... a while" she shrugged indifferently, glancing imploringly at her friend as if he might do something about it.

"I mean, I think that both of you are just busy" he replied, scooping up the silvery hair that fell into his teal eyes. "Being busy is a normal thing and keeping an online relationship is... hard? It'd be easier if you guys finally... meet"

The way Lev said it definitely upset her. Uncertainty in his breaking voice, eye contact he couldn't hold. The way his body reacted made her narrow, but she decided not to ask, although she should have. Kai no longer had the strength to continue this conversation, and they actually had to prepare for another tiring lecture. So Kaiko got up from the bench, wrapping her coat around herself and at the same time extending smaller hand to teal-eyed friend. Lev looked at it, then after a moment's thought, he stood up and grabbed her hand. He gave a small smile, and casually they went inside. They split in two different directions, throwing a loud goodbye before. Kaiko reluctantly sat down on a chair, a loud sigh leaving her mouth. She pulled out her notebook and pen, then looked straight ahead. A large, green board covered with notes created by the lecturer. She couldn't understand anything, even though it was one of the simpler things - she still had him in front of her eyes. Today was one of those worst days where the longing was deepest, most painful. Kaiko didn't quite understand why she became so attached to the guy. They got along, she felt comfortable with him and most of all - Kaiko could be herself. She laughed, was much more happier, and created a unique, unbreakable bond with Kenma. She wanted to feel his touch, the warm breath in the hollow of her neck. She dreamed that they would finally meet, even if he lived on the other side of the world.

"Fuck" she muttered under her breath, twirling the pen between her slim fingers.

She began filling in her notes slowly, her phone resting next to her. Kaiko looked at it from time to time, wondering deeply if she should text Kenma. However, she resigned with the decision that she would do it when she returned home, which was definitely for the better. She sighed loudly as she tucked the phone in her sweatpants pocket. She pulled up the sleeves of her sweatshirt, resting her chin on the palm of her hand, and stared at the lecturer, no information reaching her brain. The last lectures were actually a torment for her, so when they were over, her day became much better. Despite the fact that the sun was already setting and it was raining down, this sight gave her the greatest pleasure that day. She walked over to her friend who nodded at her.

"Do we want to eat something?" Kaiko asked as they started walking to the parking lot.

"Uh, not today Kaiko. I'm busy" silver-haired replied, giving the friend an apologetic look.

Lev usually always shared such things with Kaiko. They never kept any secrets, talked about everything and just the phrase "I'm busy" without any explanation was never seen.

"Where you goin'?" she asked, thoughtfully. However - Lev didn't reply, which made her want to cry. She had no strength left, and overnight it seemed as if she was just losing it. "What's going on, Lev? Can you stop playing and tell me?" she started worrying, when they arrived at the parking lot.

"I'm okay. Just stressing about the exams and shit, y'know" he replied, and Kaiko looked at her pale friend. "I'll drop you at your place, okay?"

"Yeah..." she whispered as she got into the car.

Until the end of the road to her apartment, they didn't exchange a word. Both of them quietly sang their favorite songs, peering through the glass, skyscrapers looming before their beautiful eyes. Kaiko looked at her friend after a while, and then sent him a gentle smile.

"Thanks for bringing me home, Lev" she said quietly, glancing out of the corner of her eye at a thoughtful friend.

She sighed loudly, clapping her tongue nervously. Kaiko opened the car door and then got out - saying goodbye to the silver-haired man earlier. Wasted, she returned home, threw her bag in the corner as well as her ankle boots, and then headed to the kitchen. She made some food for herself and sat down in the living room, on the comfortable sofa. She turned on the TV, her eyes fixed on the screen. Even so, her thoughts were completely elsewhere. Kaiko couldn't swallow the meal she had made, a longing eating a woman from within. She put the bowl down on the table in front of her green eyes, then reached for her smartphone. She dialed Kenma's number, emotionally selecting the green icon. A couple of beeps later - Kaiko sucked on her breath when she heard his hoarse, low voice.

"Hi" the woman said after a moment of silence, her hands shaking with stress and impatience.

"Hi, kitten. Missed me?" he asked calmly, a smile showing on his handsome features.

They both felt relieved. The moment Kaiko decided to call him and break the sequence of endless, stressful duties, all of them ended. Time stopped in their heads, as if everything had returned to the previous weeks spent together.

"Yeah, I did..." she whispered as she laid back on the couch. "I won't lie to you, I did miss you a fucking lot. Please... can we just not do it again?"

Kenma rubbed his freshly shaven chin with his thin hand, settling comfortably in the chair. He adjusted the glasses on his nose, sighing aloud as his hand scrolled through the papers on the desk.

"We won't. I'm keeping you close this time, baby" he replied. "You deserve a sweet reward, don't you think?"

"Huh?" she raised her right eyebrow up, not understanding his words.

"I'll let you please yourself, while I'm only listening... not touching myself at all" he replied reluctantly, but he knew perfectly well that she deserved it.

A huge lump formed in her throat, which suddenly felt terribly dry. She couldn't speak, but she liked the idea. However, she did not dare to agree out loud. Kenma's absence had clouded her confidence, some of the things she had spoken before as if nothing had happened to her now with great difficulty.

"Talk to me, Kai" he commanded, his low voice sending shivers down her body.

"Yes, sir" she replied after a long pause, her hand slowly moving under a section of her t-shirt.

"Good girl" Kenma praised her as he took a long, deep breath.

The dark-haired man had to prepare for one of the toughest moments in his life, but he finally got into it himself, right? Not giving her enough of his time, neglecting her sweet person made Kenma think he truly deserved it. A man, who actually was someone we all craved.
