The two men sank into the crowd, pulled out by other people and at the same time leaving a void in Kaiko. She sighed, her soft laugh, the feeling of being high making her dizzy. She spun on her heel, intending to get off the dance floor, but bounced on someone else's body. Kai looked up, a dark-haired woman with a fringe with blue irises, long lashes curled up. She wasn't wearing glasses as usual, her makeup was definitely more aggressive and darker, which made Kaiko narrow her eyes. She thought for a moment before realizing who was actually standing in front of her.
"Oh, Chiyo. Sorry, I didn't recognize you" Kai laughed awkwardly, nervously fiddling with her fingers.
"Yeah, do you want me to sit down with you?" she asked, leaning over the girl.
Kaiko nodded, then grabbed the girl's wrist, which led her out of the crowd of dancing people. They sat down on the couch, the short-haired body falling freely backwards. Her head was in a completely different state, mind was drifting somewhere in the past. Vision hazy as she tried to listen to Chiyo's words at all costs.
"Y'know... I saw you with my ex and his best friend" Chiyo laughed, looking bored at the burned out Kaiko.
"Hm?" she muttered, turning towards the four-eyes. She smiled broadly as if she hadn't heard what Chiyo just said. Kaiko started to laugh because that was how hideous drugs had an effect on her. "Sorry?"
"Well, it's okay" she shook her head laughing. "I have my eyes on someone else"
"Oh" Kaiko replied blankly, looking at the table in front of her.
"If I was you, I would watch out... he's not so good with women" she warned, her gaze never leaving the friend.
Black-haired girl noticed that Kaiko's green irises were staring at the alcohol lying in front of them. She shrugged and poured herself and the girl enough, then pushed her to drink with her. Kaiko, being a person who is easy to influence - of course she agreed, regretting her decision after a while. At that point, she completely flew away, closed her eyes and looked as if she had passed out. Even so, she was breathing, taking deep breaths to hold on. The black-haired felt as if she was in different dimension, her hand squeezing right thigh to de-stress, thoughts being somewhere away from reality. She wanted to take out her phone, text Issei and just part their ways. They hadn't text neither met in a long time - generally acted like they weren't together at all. That party only pushed them to act. Chiyo, on the other hand, drank shot after shot, ignoring the girl next to her until someone appeared on Kai's right.
"Hi, Lev" Chiyo greeted sweetly, looking at the silver-haired man who merely nodded in response. At the moment, he was only interested in Kaiko and the state she was in. From the end of the room he noticed that she was not doing well, but he was amused by the sight, it definitely made him chuckle.
"Kaiko!" he shouted into her ear, knocking out of the hypnosis.
Eyes half closed, the girl looked lazily at her friend. She smiled at him as Lev curled his lips into a thin line, trying not to laugh. He was amused by the sight of the drunk dark-haired, but also was glad she was having a good time.
"Bitch, you're wasted as fuck" he laughed, his thumb rubbing off the smudged lipstick around her mouth.
Chiyo rolled her eyes at the sight, her tiny hand reaching for a glass of vodka. She also drowned her worries, sorrows in alcohol, which was definitely not a good option. She used her time off to escape reality, the monotonous days she spent at the university, but also at the bar working her ass off.
"Yes" she replied, showing him a row of her teeth.
"Still looking hot" he chuckled, moving a little bit closer.
The teal-eyed man wondered for a moment if he really should tell her what he had noticed. He looked out of the corner of his eye at Chiyo, whose eyesight was fixed on the same person. She sent a knowing glance at Haiba, the shock of the two as Issei was leaning against the kitchen island, a tall brunette and a well-known man on either side of Matsukawa. The three of them were drinking, the woman's and Hanamaki's hands traveling over her boyfriend's body as if they didn't know Kai was there. Chiyo's mouth opened as if she wanted to say something, however Lev shook his head, letting her understand that it wasn't the best idea. The boy nervously rubbed his face with hands, deeply reflecting on what he should do. His redundant thoughts were interrupted by drunk Kaiko, her pink face laughing at the ceiling.
"I think you are too drunk and high" he said, glancing at Chiyo and then at his friend.
Lev was right. The woman definitely had enough alcohol for the evening, but he didn't want to spoil her fun. He stated that as a last resort he'd hold her hair, when she throws up. He didn't want her to be sad and worry unnecessarily about trivial matters.
"I'm fine! Let's drink another one?" she asked, sending him a sweet look.
Lev laughed at his friend, but decided to reach for a fresh cup and pour a little vodka. He did it for himself as well, but still - he had to be aware of the fact Kaiko wouldn't last long.
"I wouldn't do that. She almost passed out some time ago" Chiyo said, leaning out from behind the dark-haired girl.
"Aw, man" he replied, his gaze shifting to Kaiko, whose head was resting on the sofa's headrest. She was laughing, to herself - Kai was in her own world.
At this point silver-haired began to think about slowly leaving the party, he also didn't want Kaiko to meet Matsukawa in this state, because it wouldn't end too well. Lev despite the fact that he was mad and wanted to punch Issei - decided not to interfere in their love life. He knew perfectly well that his interference would mess up their relationship, so he decided to pass, leave everything as it was and just don't worry about it, hoping that one of them will eventually get over it and end this ridiculous relationship. Nervously, for a long time he rubbed his smooth chin with hand, taking turns on watching Kai and her boyfriend. Issei didn't spare himself, he was caught by Lev making out with Hanagaki, making the silver-haired narrow his eyes. He was shocked at the sight he hadn't expected at all. A sigh of resignation escaped his lungs before he rose from the seat. He looked apologetically at Chiyo, then grabbed his friend's hand and gently lifted her.
"I think it's time to go. You don't look so good" he muttered under his breath, the girl bringing her eyes back to his words.
Kaiko definitely didn't look good. She looked dead and there was no contact with her, which meant she was over her limit, that also meant it was the end of the fun. Lev had already sober up, a seriousness overwhelming his funny person. He grabbed the girl under the elbow, slowly and calmly pulling her out of the room. Kaiko was laughing all the time, her head empty, and the world in front of her eyes spinning and changing shapes.
"Thank you, Lev" she purred, resting her head on his arm, to which he laughed and bent over his friend.
He placed a kiss on her head, gently brushing his hand over the hair that obscured her features. When they left the party, the silver-haired man could finally breathe a sigh of relief. He led the woman out of the building, placing her on a nearby bench and letting her rest against his tense arm.
"I'm kinda sad" she whispered, looking at Lev who shook his head in disbelief as he took a deep breath.
"Why?" he asked quietly, staring blankly at the dark, stary sky.
"I'm scared I'll lose Issei" she sighed sadly, wiping away the lonely tear with her thumb. "I mean, I like Kenma, but Issei is like you but different you. You know?"
"Bitch, shut up already. You're drunk as fuck" teal eyes rolled back due to his friend's words.
"You're right, sorry" she giggled, closing her eyes for a moment.
Lev breathed loudly for a long time, never taking his eyes off the starry sky. He was seriously considering whether they should walk back or call a taxi. On the one hand, he didn't want Kaiko to vomit the entire car, and on the other hand, he would collapse from fatigue if he had to carry her on his back. It was quite a difficult decision to make.
"You guys waiting for a taxi?" he heard a hoarse voice on his side.
Lev turned his head to the sound, the boy much smaller appearing from the shadows. He bounced off the wall and put his phone in the back pocket of pants, leaving his hands in them.
"Uh, no. We just taking some fresh air I guess?" he replied, nervously scratching his neck.
A dark brown-haired man in a low bun walked up to the two, examining the body of Kaiko and Lev. He laughed as he slowly pulled the keys from one of his pockets.
"I'll give you a ride" he stated, tilting his head up. "I'm Kenma by the way, Tanaka's friend"
Lev's eyes widened, lips forming a thin line. He blinked a few times, wondering if he was really dreaming as his chest stopped for a second. Nevertheless, he grinned broadly and shook hands with Kaiko's admirer.
"I'm Lev and this is Kaiko, but she is... asleep" he laughed awkwardly as he slowly rose from the bench.
Kenma's eyes narrowed as he looked at the girl again. Her medium-length black hair fell freely over her flushed face. Eyelids closed, showing long, curled lashes. A tiny nose that wrinkled every now and then, because she probably dreamed about something and raspberry lips, slightly open. She seemed gorgeous to him. A thought of her being the woman he was playing with on the internet made his stomach ache. He was glad, but at the same time realized they wouldn't even be able to talk. He remembered dancing together at that moment, in which he had a strange feeling as if he perfectly knew her. Kenma wished she could say something right now, as most of the alcohol had evaporated in him just to hear her voice again and make sure he had finally found her.
"So, are we going?" still shocked Lev asked, slowly getting up from the bench.
The boy wondered if Kenma was aware that it was her. He was surprised by the coincidence where they had to meet here. Kai in such a state, Kenma who decided to drive them home. This fact frightened him a little, which kept him from saying too much.
"Uh, yeah" Kenma replied, moving forward.
Lev slowly picked up the girl in the style of a bride, not wanting to interrupt her sleep. Kenma saw it out of the corner of his eye which made him roll his golden ones. He kept thinking that it was her, ignorance driving him crazy.
"You guys are together?" he asked, slowly approaching his car.
Kenma unlocked his black BMW e30 with the key with a loud sigh. He walked over to the vehicle, opening the door and moving the seat so Lev could put the girl on the back seats.
"She's my best friend. We're not a couple" Lev answered. He slowly put Kai in the seats, then sat in the front, where Kozume joined after a second.
"That's good" he whispered, buckling his seat belt. "I won't go too fast"
Lev nodded in response, settling comfortably in the chair. He breathed a sigh of relief when the dark-haired man started the car. The engine roared loudly which made Kaiko mutter softly under her breath.
"How much has she drunk?" Kenma asked out of curiosity.
"A lot I guess" Lev said embarrassed, still worried that Kai would vomit the boy's car.
"I hope she doesn't throw up or imma throw her out" Kenma stated deadly seriously.
"Yeah, me too dude" Lev laughed, nervously scratching his neck.
Kenma pulled out onto the main street of Tokyo, his elbow resting casually against one of the car doors. He took his time, carefully observing the road and the city's nightlife, constantly thinking about the woman lying in the back seats of his BMW. He sighed loudly, not understanding his body and brain, which reacted this way. He kept checking his phone every now and then, hoping to find a message from her, but that only disappointed him.
Lev, on the other hand was chilling in the front seat, occasionally glancing at his friend to make sure she was okay. Earlier, he had given Kenma her address, so that he'd know where he should be going. He also wondered if it's okay to keep this situation away from her.
The fact that she met her cyber sex partner while she was totally fucked up would probably bother her. Lev for sure couldn't make any decisions.
"We're here" Kenma announced as they arrived at Kaiko's apartment.
Lev thanked him repeatedly and then got out of the car. He took his friend with him and then saw Kenma drive away from the outside of the building. A sigh escaped his mouth as he entered the woman's apartment - previously fumbling the keys from her purse. It was definitely one of his harder nights.
