"I'll tell you one more time, you sick son of a bitch, you either give me my money or i'll b-" Zane began as he held the completely drugged out man by the face, his head already bleeding from where he'd hit him.

"Daddy!" Alaska called out as she pulled his office doors open quickly.

"Yes, darling?" he asked with a sweet smile, holding the man by the face as he looked to his daughter. His voice dripping of the english accent he'd picked up on from spending the first twenty years in England before meeting a American tourist when he'd taken a vacation to Alaksa, falling in love with her and moving to California to start a family.

"Did you fire Drew?" Alaska asked with frowned eyebrows, her beach bag in her hands while she stared at him as if there wasn't a shaky, bloody male right under her fathers hand.

"I did, bloody moron." Zane complained as he let the mans face go, nodding to one of the dealers to shut the doors behind Alaska as she walked farther in, "Why do you ask?"

"Nothing, I just haven't seen him around much." she lied, taking the black card he passed to her, "Whats this for?"

"Could you stop by the car wash on the way home? Mom needs it but I don't have to time to run it by her." he said with a grin her way, their smiles identical. Both bright and shiny with the bottom teeth slightly crooked but not bad enough unless you paid close attention, "You're off to karate?"

"I have no money!" the man yelled from the chair he was sat in, "Please, please, I need it."

"The beach actually, Eli is picking me up." Alaska said as she looked at her phone to see if he texted, "I was going to pick up some food on the way home, do you want anything?"

"We're actually having guest tonight, Moms making your favorite." Zane said with a grin, whipping the eyelash off his daughters cheek, "Why don't you invite Eli? We haven't seen him in a while."

Alaska's eyes widened, knowing they hadn't seen him since he'd gotten the new hair, tattoos, and became a completely different person, "I'll see if he's busy, you know how he is."

"Busy with what? Crying over Harry Potter again?" Zane asked with a chuckle, gagging the man in the chair to quiet his yells, "My daughter is speaking."

"Who's the guest?" Alaska asked, leaning on the desk as she twisted one of the knives he had laying around.

"The LaRussos, actually." Zane said as Alaska's face fell slightly, "Amanda and your mother haven't spoken in a while, i'm sure they need some catching up to do."

"All of them?" Alaska asked weary, feeling guilty if Daniel and Sam were going to attend, knowing Miguel and Sensei both wouldn't approve.

"I can imagine." Zane said with a laugh as he looked toward his daughter with questionable eyes, "Whats the matter, darling?"

"Nothing, I guess I just haven't spoke to Sam in a while." Alaska said with a shrug before forcing a smile, her phone going off his her hand, "Thats Eli, I better get going."

"Love you." Zane said as he kissed her on the cheek before going back to yelling at the man in the chair. Two dealers opened the doors for Alaska as she walked out, heading down the stairs with a stressful sigh.

"I'll tie it better." Moon said as she took notice of Alaska struggling to keep her bathing suit top up.

"It's not that, i've gained weight." Alaska said with a sigh, Moon tying it better for her, "Can you tell?"

"It's gone straight to your boobs." Moon said honestly as she dusted the sand off Alaska's elbow, "I swear."

"What if people think i'm gonna pop out a kid and start having these suckers leak." Alaska said as she adjusted her boobs in her top, taking notice how the were a bit bigger then usual. Eating was something that helped a lot when she felt like relapsing, considering it was nearly constant she felt that way, she'd gone up a few pounds.

"Oh god, should we get a pregnancy test? Your stomach hasn't grown any, though they say it's in your boobs first." Moon said seriously and in a panic as she grabbed her bag, Alaska laughed and grabbed her arm to stop her.

"No, Moon, it's impossible for me to be pregnant." Alaska said with a laugh as she kicked her flip flops off and pulled Moon with her, "Its common for weight to change when you start to get sober, especially since I lost some while I was using."

"Hawk mentioned that! He was reading up on it the other night, said saying stuff out loud makes him remember better." Moon spoke as the pair got closer to the Volleyball net, watching Demetri not be able to get it over, "It's really good you're turning over a new leaf, my uncle went through the same thing."

"Where's he now?" Alaska asked, knowing it would make her feel a bit better if she knew of anyone else that had gone through what she had.

"He moved up north a few years back, fell in love and adopted a baby." Moon said with a shrug, pushing her sunglasses up on her head, "Comes around at christmas though."

Alaska shrugged as the pair walked over, grinning at the sight of Demetri talking to a pair of girls with the Cobra Kai towel, that Alaska's mom made, in his arms.

"Look at you, player." Moon laughed as she walked his way, putting her bag down while Alaska walked under the net.

"Yeah, would be nice if you actually earned the Cobra Kai credit you're so happy to take." Hawk said as Alaksa grinned as his words and looked to Demetri who seemed unbothered by his words.

"Don't be such a jellyfish." Alaska said a shes pocked him in the side, "I'm still contemplating if I should drown you, feed you to the sharks, or bury you in this sand."

"Oh god, what'd he do?" Moon asked with a laugh, handing Alaska the bottle of smoothies she packed for the four of them.

"Spilt a drink in my car." Alaska said to her with a eyebrow raise.

"Spilt a drink in my car, you mean." Hawk corrected as he kicked the back of her knees to make her stumble slightly.

"Which I paid for." Alaska corrected.

"Which you gave me." Hawk went back at her with a eyebrow raise.

"You know, yalls zodiac signs are extremely compatible." Moon said with a knowing look toward the pair, "You two argue way to much for that to be true."

"It's our rising signs, they're completely opposite." Alaska said as she slapped Hawk on the chest, "He's just been in a bad mood because he knows i'm gonna kick his ass in four days."

"You are not." Hawk argued, tripping her before pulling her off the sand, "See."

Alaska twisted his arm and kicked his feet out from under him, "See."

Moon and Demetri laughed at the pair as Alaska pulled him off the ground quickly.

"When are you gonna sign up?" Hawk asked as he yanked the towel away from Demetri, putting a arm around Moon as Alaska looked away.

"I don't know. I'm kind of enjoying the gain without the pain." Demetri said with a giggle as he looked out toward the pair of girls who were getting in the water.

"Hey." a taller boy said to Alaska as he ran past her, grinning, "Nice shades."

"Thanks." Alaska said with a grin, waving as he grinned and ran off again. Alaska and Moon shared a look while Hawk rolled his eyes, letting Moon go and pushing Demetri to grab a can from the cooler.

"Hawk, Alaska." a new voice was heard as the pair turned to see Miguel walked toward them.

"Miguel!" Alaska cheered as she screwed the top of her smoothie on and threw it to him, "Try that, Moon is a genius."

"Says you, that guacamole recipe you sent me is to die for." Moon said as she moaned at the memory, "No tomato's really makes a difference."

"Told you." Alaska said as she looked over his shoulder at Hawk and Miguel talking a few feet away. Miguel clearly wasn't feeling the beach much, "Think I should head over there?"

"They probably need you." Moon encouraged as Alaska walked over, toes sinking in the sand as she made it toward the pair.

"What's the issue? You look like a lost puppy, makes me wanna squeeze that little face." Alaska said as she gave Miguel's cheeks a small squeeze when she walked over.

"It's about Sensei, the two of you need to know something." Miguel said as the pair of best friends shared a look before looking at Miguel again.

"Is this about his rap sheet? My parents read it online. I think it makes him more badass." Hawk said as Miguel sighed and looked away, handing Alaska her smoothie back as she elbowed Hawk in the ribs.

"Shh, it's not about the rap sheet." she said, patting the area she elbowed in a way of saying sorry.

"It's about him and Robby Keene." Miguel said as Alaska's face fell at the mention of the name, her hand touching her stitches on her stomach as a habit, a flash of fear across her eyes. Alaska had learned not to be afraid anymore, had learned that the world was a scary place but the more you feed into it, the more you'll regret.

But Robby Keene was a different story.

Alaska wasn't afraid of anything as much as she was that night on the street. Hawk grabbed her elbow as Miguel began to explain.
