"What do we do? Do we ground her?" Gina asked, because her and Zane were still process what happened. "Her poor hands, the All Valley, she's been sobbing all night long."

"I know. I'm not saying she should have done that but from what she said, those little assholes deserved it." Zane commented with a knowing look. "Kreese had it coming too."

"I know but we can't just encourage this behavior either." Gina pointed out with a nod. "I think I should maybe talk to her? I don't know."

"I mean, I don't want her going off and doing something like this again. She's lucky the police didn't come after her." Zane pointed out as Gina nodded, the two leaned across the island as they spoke to each other. "Maybe keep her home on the weekends for a few weeks?"

"She doesn't really go anywhere on the weekends." Gina pointed out as they thought about it. "We could take her phone?"

"She's not gonna be using her phone much anyways though." he gave a knowing point, motioning toward his own hands. "And if something like this ever happens again I don't want her to have no way of contacting us."

Gina though about it. "We could say no Demetri and Eli?"

Zane gapped at her. "Do you want her to hate us?"

"Well, what do you suggest?" Gina tossed her hands up. "Not my fault she's a good kid and doesn't really do anything bad before now. She's never almost killed someone before."

"Okay, let's do this." Zane put his hands up. "Okay, let's tell her that after she heals in twelve weeks, she volunteers for community service and has to work the morning shift at Squeaky Lees. For now, we tell her she needs to come straight home from practice, no stopping for guac and wings, no nothing else. I don't know why Johnny is making her come to practice anyways, it's just gonna upset her."

"I think he wants to make her feel included still. Or he thinks she's gonna be okay for the All Valley." Gina shook her head, sighing. "Eight weeks is gonna be cutting it close. I just don't think there's a way she's gonna get to compete."

"I know." Zane agreed. "And I know she really wanted to, since she didn't get to last year."

"I just hate this for her." Gina nodded with a frown. Zane nodded his head, a sudden look flashing across his face. "I hate that look."

Zane met her eye with a small smile. "G, you just reminded me."

"Reminded you?" she rose her eyebrows, taking a sip of her drink. "Does it involve anything illegal?"

"Just a silver." he rose his index and thumb to show her. "You remember Randall? The man that lost his job but his youngest was really sick so I sold him the medicine she needed, because they couldn't go to the hospital? He paid in all twenties?"

"With the bald head?" Gina asked, making him nod with a bright grin. "Sure, yeah."

"His sister is on the board." Zane spoke with wide eyes. "The board that decided the rules for the All Valley."

"We can't ask them to make a new rule saying our daughter gets to fight even though her doctor said no." Gina almost laughed at her husbands words.

"No." Zane tilted his head with a knowing look. "But we can make extremely good points on why it needs to be pushed back an extra month so it can be in June instead of May."

Gina rose her head. "An extra four months."

"Meaning 12 weeks from now." Zane smirked at her. "What kind of people would they be if they hold an All Valley karate tournament when all the state test are going on at the schools? Are they asking our kids to focus on karate more? Should they fail their SAT's and STAAR because they're too focused on a tournament?"

"While June is more reasonable because all the state test would be over." Gina smiled at him. "You are a mastermind."

"And you are the beauty that will convince them." Zane grabbed his jacket. "Let's role."

"Your parents sent me to babysit you." Miguel spoke as he walked into her room. Alaska laid on her back, both her hands elevated on three pillows. She wore a warm sweater and pajama pants, Cedric at the foot of the bed. Alaska took her eyes away from her tv to look as him. "Demetri also told me to come while he does this exact thing to your man."

"Well, to save you the trouble, i'm just laying here." Alaska said back, looking at him through her glasses rimes. "And watching Great British Bake Show."

"Sweet, I love watching british people bake." Miguel climbed in next to her, ignored Cedric's growl his way. "What season are you on?"

"Six." she said back with an exhale. "Demetris going to talk to Eli?"

"Yup, says he's not answering anyone." Miguel said back, raising an eyebrow her way. "Which i'm having a hard time believing."

"His phone broke during the fight. We talked on the landline last night, but he's made it pretty clear he wants a few days alone." she said back in a low tone, sighing as she rose her hands. "Not like I can drive to see him anyways. Wyatt brought him some donuts this morning and said he's okay, just sad, doesn't wanna leave the house either."

"I think the two of you are telepathic or something. You act way too much alike." Miguel said honestly with a nod of his head, seeing her give a tiny grin in his direction. "You feeling any better?"

"The glass being out definitely has helped. And my sprained hand is doing better with it being iced." she nodded, looking to her right. "But this one still hurts pretty bad. I've been taking what I can, but it's not working much."

Miguel didn't want to worry but he did. "I'm gonna say something, but don't take it the wrong way."

She turned her head to him with a blink, nodding. The Diaz boy rested his head on the pillow. "Do you think you're gonna start using again?"

"No, i've been doing zoom NA meetings all day long to make sure of it." she said quickly, and that relaxed him a bit. "But this whole thing just keeps reminding me about it, worse then usual. I mean, after my injury, I started using so I wouldn't be in pain anymore. Now, it just feels like my sobriety is mocking me."

"I know." Miguel agreed with her. "That's why i've set you something up."

Alaska looked in confusion as Miguel lifted his hips, pulling a paper from his back pocket. Unraveling it, he showed her the schedule. "This is what we're gonna do every weekend until you're all better. Obviously, week days you'll be sleeping at home and your parents will be here, and we'll see you during the day. After school, Sensei Lawrence still has you coming to practice, and Sam drives you home every day. There's twelve weekends until you're completely healed, and after talking to everyone, it's set in stone how this is gonna happen. We all already signs."

Alaska sat up with an odd look, trying not to put too much pressure on her hands. Miguel began again. "Weekend one, that with me. I'll stay here with you since the apartment is pretty small. Weekend two, you go and stay with Sam at the LaRusso house. Weekend three, Wyatt comes and stays here because his parents don't know he's gay and won't let a girl come over. Weekend four, Demetris got you and he said one night here, one night at his house. Weekend five, Eli's got you, and you're staying at his house because he's scared of your dad again. Weekend six, Moon is gonna come here because she likes your house and wants to make guac together. Then, we just repeat it, and that'll be the full twelve."

Alaska gave him a soft smile, hiding how much this truly meant to her. "So, basically, no alone time?"

"Absolutely non." he grinned with a nod. "We just want to protect you. I don't want, you know, what happened that one time."

Alaska looked down. "When you were paralyzed?"

"Yeah." he said back softly with a minor frown. "I just, I know Sensei Lawrence and my mom had you, and they were gonna stop you from going into the apartment. But, I just hated just sitting there. I wanted to move so bad, to help you, and I couldn't."

"That was on me, i'm sorry." she nudged her feet to his leg. "I know you think that you didn't help, but you did. A lot. Hearing your voice really pulled me back that night, I was really gone and lost and I was so angry and upset. But, you being there, especially after, it reminded me that I loved you guys more then I loved drugs."

Miguel gave a sad smile. "You know, i'm really proud of you. For all of this. I know some people don't understand, and I know you have to deal with a lot of shit from people around school after Yasmine posted that message on the Cobra Kai website. But, I understand it, and I know it's really hard on you. So, i'm just proud of you and if we need to trade you off on weekends, like divorced parents, for you to not be tempted, then that's fine."

"Divorced parents? I was thinking prostitution." Alaska laughed, leaning over to drop her head onto his shoulder. Miguel rubbed her back with his hands, sighing. "I'm proud of you too."

"Proud enough to let me drive you somewhere?" he gave a hopeful look. "It's important."

Alaska narrowed her eyes. "But, my hands."

"We can yell Don't Blame Me again." he smiled in return.

"This is gonna work." Wyatt agreed as he stood with Miguel and Demetri, watching Alaska use her head to knock on the door. "Ah, shit. I forgot about her hands."

"She's got it." Miguel nodded his head.

"It better work." Demetri pointed out, watching the door open for her. "I can not handle the both of them."

"It'll work." Wyatt agreed. "They want to be alone? They can be alone together."

Eli's mom had let Alaska in, talking to her for a moment before telling her where Eli had been. Her feet brought her down the few steps, his head turning to her. Alaska gave a small smile. "Hey."

"Hey." he said back, scooting over to let her sit next to him. "How's your hands?"

"Not good." she said back honestly, leaning her head back to look his way. "How's your confidence?"

"Not good." he repeated her. Alaska frowned, leaning her head onto his shoulder. "How'd you get here?"

"Miguel." she said back, sitting her head up again. "What are we gonna do now?"

"I don't know." he said back. "Right now I just want to stay here forever."

"Me too." she agreed, looking over. "But, you shouldn't feel that way. You're still the coolest person I know, even without your triangle."

"You liked the purple." he gave a knowing look, cheeks turning red. "I liked the purple."

"Yeah, I loved the purple. Loved the red too, and the blue." Alaska turned her entire body to him, her hand that was in the brace staying in her lap while the other one sorta just hung there. "But not because of the color, or because it was all spiky, but because it was apart of you. That's why I liked it so much."

He turned his head to meet her eye, sighing slightly. "I know you keep saying that but I just keep feeling like you're just saying it to make me feel better."

Alaska dug in her memory. "You remember before we did karate? You didn't have the mohawk then and I still liked you."

Eli gave her a knowing look. "You know what I mean."

"Yeah, exactly." she agreed. "I totally liked you this entire time, was that not obvious?"

"You did not." he argued with her.

"Yes, I did. I just didn't know it then." Alaska kneed his leg. "You don't have the hair now and i'm still into you. And I know you're into me, so I'm sick of us not dating."

"How are we suppose to date when you're way out of my league now? It's not fair to you, you're just saying that." he shrugged her off, breaking their eye contact.

"Not true." she stood to her feet. "You're my favorite person in the world."

Eli moved his hands for her to sit across his lap, looking up at her. He made sure not to touch either of her hands. Alaska gave a stern look. "And I love you for how sweet you are, and how you always care about me, how well we get along, and the feeling that attacks my entire body every single time I see you, even though i've seen you a million times. That's more important then your hair color, or the spikes, or your scar, our break up, our fights. Non of that matters, all that matters is that you're you. So, start being you again, because I miss my boyfriend."

Eli smiled slightly up at her, avoiding her eye, grinning downwards. "I love you too."

"I know you do." she nodded with a grin, elbowing him so his eyes would look up as her again. "We're gonna get through our tough times together. If i've got you, these stupid hands and that stupid All Valley is pretty much as important as what I ate for breakfast this morning. Which was oatmeal, via my mom. And I really don't care too much for outmeal, via mom."

Eli laughed, his forehead pressing into his shoulder as his face reddened. He looked back up at her, a smile across his face, sparkle in his eye. "We should get back together."

"Most definitely." Alaska smiled just as wide, leaning down to plant her lips onto his.
