The sun was barley up when Robby crept down the stairs. He'd been doing this each morning, wanting to leave before he had to interact with Alaska, getting home when she was asleep. Gina and Zane were good to him, and they understood, but they didn't encourage it. But, with it only being his third night here, they were trying to bend with him. Alaska was always out early anyways, and up early, but he made sure to check her room before leaving. After not finding her in her bed that morning, he was creeping down the stairs incase she was awake downstairs.
She was downstairs, just not awake.
Robby told himself to just leave, not to care that she was passed out over three books, her back bent terribly over the table as she sat in the chair. He told himself not to care that she'd be in pain when she woke up, being hunched over like that for the entire night. But, because he was still him deep down, he dropped his bag and walked toward the table. The blinds were rolled up, the faint light shining in, making the kitchen look a bit plain, a little depressing with the faint blue tint it was giving off.
"Alaska." Robby whispered, shaking her arm slightly. She didn't moved, Robby pulled an odd look as he gapped at a animated photo of the female vagina in the book she was passed out over. He realized she was flipping through a bunch of sex education books, passing out in the process. He shook her again. "Dude, wake up."
His mean, stern voice made her eyes flicker, groaned as they shut again. Robby rolled his eyes, shaking her arm. "You're gonna ruin your spine."
Alaska sighed, blinking to get use to the small light, pushing on her palms to sit up. A whine out of pain left her lips, feeling the pain in her back, laying back down. Robby winced. "Yeah, I know."
Still half asleep, she clearly just wanted to stay there. Robby huffed, wrapping an arm around her waist, pressing a hand to her back. "Okay, come on, sit up slowly."
His hand pressing into her back eased the aching pain from her spine, still hurting as she sat up. Robby's arm around her waist prevented her from falling back over, keeping her up right. Alaska sighed, but sitting up straight helped as her back started to feel better. "What time is it?"
"Five." he said back, getting a groan. "Get up, go get in your bed until you need to get up."
Alaska stood to her feet, Robby going to push the chair back in but was caught off by her throwing her entire weight onto him, legs locking around his lower waist. "Jesus christ."
He huffed, pulling her higher up on his waist as she huffed. He rolled his eyes at her noise. "Yeah, this isn't ideal for me either."
Robby carried her toward the couch, deciding going up the stairs was not the smartest idea. He could practically see her trying to climb higher up and the two of them stumbling back down the stairs. Robby leaned over, trying to lay her down, but she was latched on to him and was not moving. "Alaska, let go."
But she was pretty much asleep, not listening to a word he was saying. Robby gave a shake, dropping her on her back on the couch. She huffed, laying there and opening her eyes. "Robby?"
"You are insane." he said, searching for a throw blanket. "Why do you sleep like a koala?"
She laughed through her tiredness, morning voice not even sounding like her. "Why are you awake?"
"I have to go do something." he lied to her, throwing the blanket over her body and tucking it around to avoid her spasing out and flipping off the couch. "Go back to sleep."
"Wait." she called from the couch when he was half way toward the door. Turning, she pointed at him. "Come back."
"No." he stated.
"Please?" she huffed. "Pleaseeeee."
"Jesus christ, what do you want?" he shhed her when she started to get louder, walking back over to look down at her. "What?"
"What do you have to go do?" she looked up at him. "Drug deals?"
"Non or your business." he argued, heading off again.
"You just don't wanna be around me." her words were slurred slightly, making him pause at the door. Robby turned on his heels, walking back to the couch, looking over the side and seeing as though she had already fallen asleep.
"Dude, you spilled a glass of wine. So what?" Hawk asked as they warmed up, Miguel voicing his horrible experience at dinner last night.
"I don't know, man. You should have heard the way Mr.LaRusso was talking about Sam's future." Miguel sighed, rocking on his heels. "I can't even afford a car, let alone college."
"Miguel, Daniels not gonna judge you and think you aren't good enough for Sam because of your money." Alaska spoke up, wincing as Wyatt rubbed her shoulders for her, falling asleep on top of the books last night not good for her. Hawk eyed them, keeping his anger in check by having his back their way.
"She's right." Eli agreed with Alaska, throwing a finger over his shoulder to point her way. "You're El Serpiente. You're an All Valley champion. Just show Mr.LaRusso what you're made of. I know you're gonna crush whatever he throws at us today."
"Ow, too hard." Alaska got out of Wyatt's hold. "You're worse then I am."
"Sorry, my Tia does it like that." he rose his hands in surrender.
"What'd you even do? Fall asleep in the bathtub, again?" Miguel asked, Eli nodded Alaska over as he rubbed her back, being sure to give a very, very, harsh glare in Wyatt's direction.
"Fell asleep on sex books." she said back casually, her turn to glare in Wyatt's direction. "But what would Wyatt and Eli know about that? Since they abandoned me yesterday."
"I told you I had to get new work out attire, and I lost a bet to Demetri so he picked it out." Wyatt argued, which explained his highlighter pink outfit.
Alaska gave a jab backwards, hitting Hawk right in the ribs as he winced, leaning back as his forehead hit her shoulder. "You're excuse was worse then the ending of 57 Meters Down."
"It wasn't an excuse, I was serious." he argued with her, going back to rubbing her back, digging into her pressure point in her neck. Alaska winced, her legs giving out. "Yeah, doesn't feel so nice, does it?"
As she got closer to the ground, she grabbed his arm, pulling him down with her as they hit the ground. Hawk huffed as he looked over at her. "Ow."
"Ow is right." she agreed, sitting first.
"Compared to Sensei Lawrence's training, todays gonna be a vacation." Mitch spoke up, looking in Miguel's direction.
"Who's going on vacation?" Daniel spoke up as he walked their way.
Alaska got to her feet, reaching down to pull Eli up with her. Miguel cleared his throat. "Uh, no one. What do you got from us today?"
"Come here." Daniel spoke up, leading the group over to the pond. Alaska and Eli trailed back, getting the grass off their bodies.
"Come here to me, you weird boy." she encouraged him, yanking his neck down to pick the few shards of grass out of his hair. She leaned in, taking a sniff of his neck. "Now you smell like freshly mowed grass."
He pulled grass from the bottom of her hair. "Well, if you'd let me use your body wash, we'd both smell like Forever Red again."
"If you'd stop being so scared of my dad, then you could come over and use Forever Red again." she shot back, the two falling silent as they caught up with the group around the pond.
"Look, I know you've all been taught to strike first. What do you do when your opponent is faster then you?" Daniel pointed at the group with a curious look.
"Are those real koi?" Mitch looked at the fish inside the pond.
"Have those always been there?" Alaska asked in disbelief.
"Yes, they are real. And yes, they have always been there." Daniel answered, Wyatt looked at Alaska oddly as she seemed to have absolutely no knowledge of them being there before, despite being in the pond twice in her life now. "Todays lesson is simple. Catch a fish. But since I know you Eagle Fangs like a little bit of competition, we're gonna make it interesting. So the first to succeed, will have the honor of leading class all week."
His prize didn't seem to interest any or the students, sighing. "And you also get to pick out what flavor Gatorade I buy next."
"Aw, hell yes!" Mitch yelled with a bright grin. "Hope you all like Glacial Freeze."
"I can't drink red gatorade." Alaska spoke up.
"What? Why?" Wyatt looked in confusion her way.
"She drank one on an empty stomach and threw up on me." Miguel spoke up with a nod of confirmation. "This was when I was paralyzed too, by the way."
"Not my fault." she threw her hands up. "I don't eat any red stuff anymore."
"Better change your hair soon." Wyatt wacked Hawk in the back, having the entire group look his way in disbelief. "Sorry, bad joke, never mind."
"Where are the rods?" Miguel spoke up to change the subject.
"Back in my garage." Daniel shrugged his shoulders. "Your bare hands are all you'll use and all you'll need."
"Won't that hurt them?" Alaska looked with a raise of her eyebrows. "Because I don't believe in animal abuse."
"It won't hurt them." Daniel waved her off. "On your mark. Get set. Go!"
The group of Eagle Fangs all began to reach into the water, trying to grab one of the koi fish as quick as they could. Splashs of water flew around, all coming up with no fish in hand. Alaska looked to the side, seeing Miguel focusing really hard on one of the fish swimming his way. Leaning back, she pressing her hands into his lower back before shoved forward, his body crashing into the pond.
She laughed loudly, falling over into Eli as he stumbled to the side. Miguel sat up in the water, eyes wide and soaking wet. The group all laughed alongside Alaska. Daniel shook his head. "Looks like you're a little wet behind the ears. Let's get your dried off."
"I know this Chinese Restaurant with a big ass fish tank. We can go there and practice." Hawk spoke as they all left the lesson, walking out of the fence.
"Oh, yeah, because getting into a fish tank in the middle of a restaurant has been on my bucket list for so long." Alaska nodded alongside him, meeting his eye. "That's phenomenal, Eli, i'm so glad you came up with that idea."
"Yeah? Do you think you're funny?" he asked, pulling her into a chokehold as she tried to break free. "Still funny? I can't hear you."
She struggled under his grip, elbowing him in the ribs, for the second time
that day. Hawk winced, letting her go. Alaska turned with a huff, straightening her shirt. "You are on fire today. It's a shame I keep beating you."
"I'll beat you at the restaurant." he argued, holding his side as he stood up straight, looking toward Miguel. "You coming?"
"Uh, no, my moms picking me up." Miguel shook his head.
"All right. Well, stay dry, my friend." Eli gave a cheeky grin his way.
"See ya on the flip side, Miguel." Alaska gave a salute, waving toward Wyatt as he headed off to his car. She looked to the red haired boy next to her. "You wanna come use my body wash? Only my mom is home and she's working in her study."
Eli looked over with a grin. "Do I get the big shower too?"
"I'll even let you use my lotions." she agreed, making his face light up. Out of a moment of weakness, she pulled him into a chokehold quickly. "Only if you can escape!"
