chapter fourteen didn't release for some of you so i republish it if you didn't get to read! x

"No, like the state." a six year old Alsaka corrected a boy in her class, his dark eyes bulging out of his head, "Cool, right?"

"Like with, Santa?" the taller boy asked hopefully as he looked down at Alaska who nodded her head eagerly, "And the elf's?"

"Yeah!" she explained, her voice squeaking as she grinned widely at her first friend she'd made ever, "Whats your name?"

"Demetri, I have no states named after me." he said with a frown down at the new sneakers that matched his star wars tee shirt. Alaska threw her Cheetos at his, having it bounce off his forehead, "Hey!"

"When I become princess of the world, i'll make a state named Demetri." she said with a nod of her head, watching his face flush and eyes lit up.

"Really?" he asked hopefully as she nodded, "Can I be king?"

"Sure!" she said with a grin, sipping the apple juice, "Moms says I need a prince."

"A prince?" he asked her as Alaksa nodded, "Does that mean I need a queen?"

"I think so." she confirmed with a hum and pointing to a blonde girl who was coloring, "She could be queen."

"I love her." he announced, standing up quickly, "I'm going to ask her to marry me."

Alaska watched him run off, eyes scanning the classroom. Snack time would come to a end soon, meaning they'd have to get back to work soon. Her eyes scanned face around the class room, looking for prince material. Her dark eyes set on a boy in the corner, his lunch box by his side as he cried into his knees. Alaska stood, messing with the clips in her hair as she walked over to stand before him, "Whats the matter?"

His eyes looked up at her, bright blue staring back at deep brown. Alaska noticed the scar on his lip, though his teary eyes distracted her. When he didn't answer she sat next to him, "Is your snack not good?"

The boy whipped his eyes as he looked over at her, keeping his hand clapped on his mouth as he spoke, "They're being mean."

"Who?" Alaska said as he pointed toward a table of kids, all looking over at the pair with a laugh, "Why are they being mean to you?"

"Because of my face." he said back to her, eyes scanning her face.

"Your lip?" she asked as he nodded and cried into his knees again, "Don't cry, I like it."

"What?" he asked her, voice muffled by the way he was buried in his knees.

"Adds character." she said as he moved his head a little to just look at her, "You could be a prince."

"Really?" he asked her, rubbing his eyes with a sniffle.

"Yeah!" she exclaimed excitingly, getting to her feet, "Come on, the king is waiting!"

He took her hand as he stood, "I'm Eli."

"Alaska."

"And then I was like, 'That's what you get for hurting Alaksa!' wam! wam! wam!" Eli recreated the fight he had with Robby, hitting his palm on each wam, "Was it badass, or what?"

"So badass!" Demetri exclaimed as he sipped at his doctor pepper, "Until you got disqualified."

"It was worth it." Hawk said with a shrug, getting back in the booth as he smiled over at Alaska who shook her head with a grin, "Kicked his ass for you."

"Wish it would have lasted longer." Alaksa said knowingly as he grinned at her words, "Bet I would have kicked yours."

"You think you can beat me, princess?" he asked in disbelief as Alaksa nodded her head, throwing her bagger ring across the table to hit him in the chest.

"Absolutely." she said confidently as he grinned, Alaska opened her mouth to say something again before Moon slid into the spot next to him.

"Nachos with no meat, extra cheese, and guacamole on the side." Moon announced as they were sat between the four. Alaska watched his arm go around her, "We have another order coming soon."

"Great." Alaska said with a forced smile, rubbing her knees together under the table as she looked toward the TV in the corner of the restaurant, pretending to be interested. Eli frowned his eyebrows at her change of mood, looking toward the tv and seeing golf, a sport she hated the most, on.

"Get in the shot, Alaska." Aisha encouraged as she stood before the table with her instagram story rolling, "So you might be wondering what a team does after they win the championship. The answer? Victory Nachos."

The pair snapped out of their gazes, cheering alongside Aisha as the girl grinned and began talking into her phone again, "It was suppose to be a round of drinks, but the waitress was not feeling Hawks fake ID."

"Hey, don't talk about that. My parents follow you." Eli said in a whisper her way, face flushed as worry flashed before his eyes.

"Sorry, Mr and Mrs Moskowitz." Aisha said as she turned the camera off and slid into the booth next to Alaska who popped one of the nachos into her mouth.

"I gotta say, it's nice to be at a victory party." Demetri said with a grin, holding the nacho in his hand with two hands.

"Yeah, except you had nothing to do with the victory." Eli mocked as he reached across the table to take the nacho from his hand and push it into his mouth.

"Say that to my busted eardrums from this hooligan." Demetri said as he nodded toward Alaska by his side, "Yet she complains when I yell at Dr Who."

"No kidding." Alaska said with a cough, her voice scratchy and nearly gone, "I sound like I smoke a pack a day."

Moon laughed at her words.

"I also consider this a delayed party for the coding competition we won at computer camp." Demetri said with a grin as he nodded toward Eli, who's face fell quickly, "Demetri and Eli, Binary Brothers."

The table laughed loudly at his words. Alaska shut her eyes, remember the song being rehearsed to her many times. Moon laughed loudly, Demetri using his robot hand motions to fuel her more.

"Hey. Cool it with the nerd shit, okay?" Hawk asked Demetri with a serious look across his face, Demetis face fell slightly as he shrugged.

"Lighten up." Alaska said with a roll of her eyes.

"Hey, where's Miguel? His wings are getting cold." Moon spoke up quickly as she nodded to the order Miguel had gotten. All of their eyes moved toward Miguel who sat alone at the table, typing at his phone with a sad look across his eyes.

"He's upset about his ex girlfriend." Alaska said with a shrug, "Jealously. It's a bitch, isn't it?"

"Yeah, completely." Eli said back as the pair scanned each other's faces before looking away and back to Miguel, "I should go over there, come on."

Aisha, Hawk, and Alaska got out of their seats as they made their way toward Miguel who shut his eyes with a sigh, "El Serpiente, there you are."

"Don't look so down, gorgeous." Alaska teased as she put a arm around him, "You've got a table full of wings, i'll even let you dip them in my guacamole."

"This is how you celebrate a first- place trophy?" Aisha asked in disbelief as her and Hawk sat on either side of Miguel.

"She blocked me." Miguel said as he stared at the back of his phone case.

"So what happens when you get blocked?" Hawk as as the trio looked to him in questioning, "You counterpunch."

"I was gonna say aim for in between the legs but maybe not in this situation." Alaska confirmed as she patted Miguel on the head softly where she stood over his shoulder.

"Except, maybe don't actually hit her this time." Hawk teased as Alaska slapped his shoulder in disbelief, "What? Too soon?"

"Way too soon, like fifty years too soon, man." Alaska said as he grinned up at her, tapping the back of her knee to make her stumble slightly.

"Look, all i'm saying is don't give up." Hawk said again to Miguel knowing.

"It's no use." Miguel said with a sigh of pain, "I blew any shot I had with her."

"Just give Sam some time. She'll come around." Aisha tried to reason with a soft smile, putting a hand on Miguel's.

"Or she won't." Hawk said as the pair looked his way in disbelief, "She could just act like she will and then not."

"He's right." Alaska confirmed with a nod of her head, "She could just ignore all these signs you're giving her and start dating someone new and wonder why you're not okay with it."

"What Alaska said." Eli confirmed as the pair rolled their eyes on sync, "Could just jerk around your feelings."

"Not realize maybe you guys should actually be together."

"Wonder why you move on after all this time of thinking you guys were gonna have something."

"She may not expect you to move on, hoping you'll be patient with her."

"Maybe she'll come crawling back to you, mess with your mind and then friendzone you."

"Maybe she's flirt with you constantly yet still go off and get in a relationship."

"Guys!" Aisha said quickly before Eli could list off after Alaska, "Neither of you are helping right now."

"All we're saying is you're the champ now. You can get any chick in the Valley you want." Hawk said as he nudged Miguel's arm, his own brushing past Alaska's lower stomach as he did so, "You're like Drake, enjoy it."

Eli laughed as he stood up, brushing up against Alaksa, hands on her hips, moving past her as he walked off. Alaska sighed in disbelief and threw herself into the empty seat, leaning on her arm.

"I'm not sure I wanna be Drake." Miguel said honestly.

"Don't worry, you're not." Aisha said as Miguel cracked a grin as the pair looked to Alaska, "And you're sketchy."

"I'm not sketchy." she said as the pair gave her a similar look, "I'm not! If anything, i'm not sketchy at all, not even in the slightest bit."

"You're not a good liar either." Miguel said, pushing his drink over to her, "You're not Drake either, you're Taylor Swift."

"Why am I Taylor Swift?" Alaska asked him alarmed.

"We'll let you figure that one out." Aisha said with a eyebrow raise before ordering herself another drink.
