CHAPTER NINETY—
i'm scared that you won't be waiting on the other side.
"Who's that sexy mama?" Alaska sung to herself as she pointed to herself in the mirror, dancing around in her green bikini. "You are the sexy mama!"
She picked Cedric up and spun around with him, popping her hips. "Abs abs abs. I'll take your man. I've got your mama on speed dia-"
"What the hell are you doing?" Johnnys voice made her gasp in panic and look over to her door way. "Uh-hu, I caught you."
"Just having a little pre-hype dance party in here." she set Cedric down and gave a fake toss of her hands. "Ready to thrown down. Wam! Wam!"
"Yeah?" he grabbed her head and throw her onto her bed. "Who are you fighting?"
"No one." she sat up. "I'm going to a waterpark, and last time I went to a waterpark I really wanted to fight those Moms. Now i've got the chance."
He threw her wrist cast at her face. "Why aren't you wearing this, idiot? You trying to have permanent damage? You can't dig in pussies for your career with that."
"Gynecology isn't digging in pussies." she cringed as he sat next to her. "But, you are not here to yell at me about these pussy digging wrist. What's going on?"
"You can't tell anyone. You tell someone, I knock your ass out. Understand?" he shoved a finger in her face. "Not Miguel. Not Robby. Not your dick-slapper. Not your nerd. Not the gay one. Not Jimmys kid. Not LaRusso. Non of them. No one."
"Got it. Not a single living, breathing, dying soul." Alaska nodded with a cross of her legs. "Lay it on me."
"Carmen's pregnant." he spit out.
"What!" a grin spread across her face
"What!" Beth stuck her head around the corner with her jaw on the ground. "I was snooping."
"Oh what the hell?" Johnny tossed his hands up .
"Carmen is pregnant?" Alaska gushed as Beth walked in with Georgia in her arms, nursing a bottle after Beth didn't want to breast feed after how much Aiden messed up her boobs the first time. They all supported that decision. "It's yours?"
"Yes, it's mine." he smacked her in her arm. "I don't know what to do. I'm freaking the fuck out. And you're all peace and pussy digging so help me out."
"What?" Beth gapped at his words.
"Let's see." Alaska leaned over the side of her bed and pulled out a Gynecology book from under her mattress. "Would you like to see how a birth is preformed?"
He smacked the book shut. "I don't know how to do this right. I wasn't good with Shannon, I don't wanna fuck up another kid."
"Aw, Johnny." Beth gushed at his words as she rocked Georgia. "That's so sweet that you're trying."
He cringed.
"What makes you think I know any of this? I'm not a Mom." Alaska was confused by his intentions with her if it weren't the scientific facts of pregnancy.
"You were just calling yourself a sexy mama in the mirror." he gave her a dumb look. "You were taking care of my first kid for a while, and he turned out pretty good after juvie. Did something right. But i'm not about to ask your Mom, she'd start planning a party and picking names."
"It's not so bad. We had a great party for Georgia." Beth explained as she held Georgia up a little more.
"Sensei, i'm gonna give you some advice and you can do what you want with it. I think I have the best Dad in the world, like, truly." Alaska nodded as she thought about her own Dad, a smile coming to her face. "What makes him the best Dad ever is how much he supported me, and how he's there for me. When I was little I had this weird hobby where i'd collect rocks and name them after the plants then preform plays for them. It was so weird and concerning but my Dad supported me through everything. He helped me name those rocks based off of they gave of saturn energy of mars. He even drew smily faces on them."
The blonde looked at her in disbelief. "So, I should draw smily faces on the rocks?"
"No." she tried not to laugh as she grabbed her bottle of lavender off the bedside table. "I'm saying you just have to love and care about your kid and it'll promote you to the best dad in their eyes. You show up, you prove you love them by supporting weird ass shit they do. You just gotta love them. It works every time."
He nodded as she rubbed the oil on his wrist. "Okay, I think I can do that."
"You can." she promised. "Not just with this one. But, Robby too. He's got a lot of built up pain because of you, but he's also willing to let you in and that's more then enough after all he's gone through. Don't miss this opportunity to have a big, happy family."
The blonde nodded with pursed lips. "You just gave me great ass idea. Thanks for being an old person, Antartica! Hashbrown you rock."
He left soon after as Beth smiled. "I think he'll be good this time around."
"I think so too. Carmen needs to open up to me soon though so I can host a baby shower." the Lee girl grinned, looking toward the clock. "Aidens baseball practice still today?"
"Yes." Berh stood up quick. "Vanessa is picking us up and we're headed there now."
"Vanessa." Alaska teased with a shimmy of her shoulders. "Ouu."
"Shut it." the redhead woman blushed as she left. Alaska smiled as she sat there alone, her legs dangling off the bed as she glanced at her calendar. Her heart stopped for a second there.
All this talk about pregnancy, and she didn't realize she was a week and a half late for her period.
"Anthony! Stop staring at my friends!" Sam's scolded was all that brought Alaska out of her thoughts as Anthony panicked, taking his eyes off Alaska and running straight into the chairs. Sam reached for her arm. "Sorry."
"It's fine." she shook her head.
Sam sat up, noticing something was up. "Hey."
Alaska looked over as she gave her a knowing look. "Talk to me."
She exhaled and leaned back against her chair. "I'm panicking real bad right now, Sam."
"What's going on?" she sat up and turned to her.
"I got here late because I had to stop at the store." she took her sunglasses off and faced her completely. "My period is late."
Sam shook her head. "That sometimes happens. How late?"
"Almost two weeks." she explained with a panicked look, Sam's face fell. "Don't look at me like that!"
"Sorry. Sorry!" she panicked and looked away to get the look off her face. "Are you and Eli not safe? You literally gave Miyagi-Do a sex education class just a few weeks ago."
"We are." she reassured her. "But, there was this one time we weren't because...it's a long story. But I took a morning after pill."
Sam held her knee. "Those don't always work out."
"I know. That's why i'm freaking out." Alaska held her head and shook it quickly. "I took a test but I shoved it in my bag. I'm too scared to look."
"Do you want me to?" Sam nodded. "I'll do it for you."
"No, no. I just want to try and enjoy this day, incase my life is ruined and I have to break the news to my parents before scheduled an abortion." she exhaled and put the sunglasses back on, laying in her chair. "That's gonna be so scary if they don't put me to sleep for it. I'm Dad is gonna be so disappointed in me."
"Your Dad loves you." Sam promised her. "We don't even know for sure yet, don't plan ahead."
Alaska nodded as she braced herself. She saw Eli walking her way and immediately knew she wanted to be comforted by him. "I'll be back."
She grabbed her bag and sped walked his way. His face lit up when she got closer. "Hey there."
"Hey back." she took his hand. "Can we talk for a second?"
His eyes widened. "Do I need the rose quartez again?"
She shook her head and drug him toward the cool area where barley anyone was. They took a set on the bench as she leaned her head on his chest and locked her arms around his waist. Eli frowned as he rubbed her back. "Aw. What's the matter?"
"So..." she feared his reaction the most. "I took a pregnancy test."
She immediately felt his body tense, pulling away to look him in those panicked, blue eyes. "W-A preg- why? Do you feel sick?"
"No but my period is super late. And that never happens, it's always the same time." she held her head in panic again. "Holy shit, please don't be mad."
He stood up and paced. "I'm not mad. I'm not mad."
"Well, im mad!" she tossed her hands up. "I need the fucking rose quartez right now."
"Okay, okay. What did the pregnancy test say?" he stopped pacing but his foot tapped fast.
"I haven't looked. I was too scared." he stopped now, seeing the fear in her eyes. If he was panicking, he couldn't even imagine what she was feeling. She'd be the one that would have to tell her parents and have to go through the steps of whatever plan they went with. Eli sat down and pulled her into his arms again.
"It'll be okay." he promised her, rubbing her back to hide his own fear. "It'll be fine. Whatever it says...we'll figure it out."
"I mean, you're not ready to be a dad, right?" she pulled back and held his face. "Because i'm not ready to be a Mom. I've got college, and then internships, and so many steps I wanted to do before kids."
"Right. No, me too." he agreed. "But, do you wanna-"
"I don't know. That seems scary." she feared abortions because of what she'd seen, the stories she'd heard from her family members who were pro life. It terrified her, because they'd painted a picture in her head that wasn't the truth. "My Dad is gonna hate me. My Mom is always telling me not to make the same mistakes she did. This is gonna disappoint her so bad."
Eli agreed, Zane would absolutely kill him. Gina would hate him. If they went through with it, his grandparents would probably be the only ones to support them on his side of the family. Gina and Zane would too, but they wouldn't make it easy on either of them. He exhaled and held her face. "Let's just know for sure before we start to over think, okay? Make life a little bit easier?"
She exhaled and held his hands that were on her face. "Yeah?"
"Yeah." he smiled to get her heart rate to cool off.
"Okay. Yeah, Okay." Alaska agreed as she opened her bag and stuck her hand inside. She froze and gave him a hesitant look. "Promise not to take off on me?"
"Never." he held her shoulders as she pulled her hand out, flipping the stick over.
"Oh thank fuck!" she yelled out so loud everyone turned to look. She fell back against the bench. "Woo! Fuck yeah!"
"Alaska!" Eli shhed her and hid a laugh. "People are staring."
"Sorry." she sat up as he held her, sighing in relief. "I've never loved the word Negative so much."
"So, let's definitely avoid this ever again." he gave her a comical laugh as she smiled and agreed with a nod. "Do you think we'd be good partners though? If it was positive."
She nodded her head. "I think I turned out pretty well with how much my parents love each other. So, ours would have been even better since we love each other more."
He smiled, a faint blush actoss his face as he kept thinking about it. "To the future."
"To the future baby Guac." she leaned in and hugged him tightly. He hugged her back, but neither noticed lurking eyes around the corner that now knew everything.
