It has been a few days since Jasper and Miracle had made their relationship official, and ever since, she was having a great time with both families.Β

However, there have been a few complications when the Cullens found out that Edward had fallen in love with a human and that Bella Swan figured out what creatures they are. This was why Miracle is currently gnawing on the steamed chicken that Carlisle had cut up into strips for the Italian dish they are preparing for Bella.

"Because you're already a part of a family of vampires. The Quileutes know that your family is responsible for you so no treaty would be violated if you were to turn up dead-dead or vampire-dead. Not that any of us would actually hurt you, anyway." Rosalie explained in an irritated manner. "But Bella is a local, who happens to be Edward's mate and blood singer. Do you know how difficult that is? If Edward or any of us couldn't control ourselves around her then the treaty would break and both our families will be held accountable."Β

Miracle shrugged as she takes another chicken strip from Carlisle.Β

"Honey, are you hungry already?" Esme asked the brunette girl.

Miracle nodded. "It smells really good."

Esme, Emmett, and Carlisle smiled while they continued to do their won tasks in preparing the food.

"Well then, you can join Bella in eating so that she won't feel uncomfortable." Carlisle told her.

"Sure." Miracle answered.

Emmett continued to chop a bunch of vegetables before he narrowed his eyes at the brunette girl.

"Why isn't Jasper clinging on to you like he had been doing for the past few days?" Emmett joked.

This time, Rosalie joined in on the soft laughs that could be heard from the four vampires in the kitchen when they recalled the first few days that Jasper and Miracle had been officially together. It was like Jasper was afraid that Miracle would suddenly disappear when he lets go of her for even just a second.

"He said he'll just be gone for a few minutes to pick up some stuff. He told me he'd be back in time to officially meet Bella." Miracle explained.Β

"Speaking of Bella, is she even Italian?" Olivia asked when she and Parker had walked in together in the kitchen.

"Well, her name's Bella." Emmett stated.

"I'm sure she'll love it no matter what." Carlisle said.Β

Miracle turned towards her adopted siblings before she spoke.

"Where's Sebastian?" she asked.

"Alice has him exploring the woods." Parker answered with his usual smug smirk.Β

Miracle went to take another chicken strip from Carlisle when Jasper suddenly appeared and hugged her from behind.Β

"Hi." Jasper whispered in her ear.

Miracle smiled brightly before pulling away from the hug and facing him.

"Hey, you're back." Miracle said before placing a quick kiss on the honey-blonde vampire's lips, a smile forming right after.

"Get a room, this kitchen does not count as one." Emmett said.Β

Jasper grabbed a tomato and threw it at Emmett which he swiftly caught before placing it on the chopping board and slicing it into pieces.Β

The vampires shared a glance when they smelled the familiar scent of a human other than Miracle enter the premises.Β

"Get a whiff of that." Olivia commented when the scent of Bella's blood tickled the nostrils of every vampire in the room.

"Here comes the human." Parker said.

Miracle and Jasper went to stand next to Olivia and Parker when Miracle looked at her boyfriend and saw how nervous he was to be in close proximity to another human.

"Hey," Miracle muttered as she intertwined her hand with his causing him to glance at her. "If you can't hurt me then you can't hurt her, too."Β

The honey-blonde vampire simply smiled down at the girl before they shifted their gazes towards Edward and Bella who just entered the kitchen.

"Bella, we're making Italiano for you and Miracle." Esme said, greeting her with the most genuine smile.Β

"Oh." Bella simply uttered as a response before Edward spoke.

"Bella, this is Esme, my mother for all intents and purposes." Edward said as he introduced the sweet Esme.

Emmett waved behind Esme with a knife in and before he continued cutting.

"Bon Giorno?" [Good morning?]Β Bella said.Β

"Molto bene!" [Very well!] Esme replied enthusiastically, opposite of what Rosalie is feeling at the moment.

"You've given us an excuse to work in the kitchen for the first time." Carlisle said while he continued to cook alongside Emmett.

"It's true. They offered to cook me food last week but I told them I'm a great cook, so if you think about it, I was the first one to use this kitchen." Miracle said as she stood in between Jasper and Parker.

"I'm sure you already know the Thornes." Edward told Bella.

Miracle, Parker, and Olivia gave polite smiles towards Bella while she as well smiled at them.

"A word of warning, my family likes to spell 'thorns' with an 'e' to honor our name. Don't tell them that it's misspelled or else you'd find your tongue amongst the pile of tongues that made the same mistake." Parker told Bella with still a polite smile on his face.

Edward glanced at him with the look that screamed 'Seriously?' which made Parker shrug.

"What? It's best if she knows it." Parker just responded.

Then Bella's gaze turned towards the honey-blonde vampire standing uneasy beside Miracle.

"This is Jasper." Miracle said. "You have to forgive him if he's a little uncomfortable. He's used to being around me, but not you. Don't worry though, I told him he won't hurt you."

Edward grimaced at Miracle's statement, showing her how weird it was. Miracle could only smile sarcastically at the bronze-haired vampire before Esme spoke.

"I hope you're hungry." Esme said.

"Yeah, absolutely." Bella answered, only to be exposed by Edward.

"She already ate." Edward said.

Miracle shrugged before she looked at Carlisle with the sweetest smile.

"More for me then!" Miracle told him.

Carlisle returned the sweet smile before they averted their gazes to Rosalie who had crushed the glass bowl with her bare hands, letting the vegetables and the shattered pieces of the bowl to scatter on the ground.

"Perfect." Rosalie said with as much coldness as she always possessed.Β

Emmett sighed as he walked around the kitchen counter to approach and prevent his wife from getting even more frustrated and mean towards the human.

"Yeah, it's just because I know youβ€”I know that you guys don't eatβ€”" Bella slightly stammered before Esme saved her the trouble of explaining.

"Of course." Esme said as Carlisle appeared beside her. "That's very considerate of you."Β

Esme looked over at Rosalie, telling her that Bella was just simply being thoughtful.

"Just ignore Rosalie. I do." Edward muttered to Bella.

Miracle scoffed and whispered towards Jasper. "Yeah, right. Like that always ends up well."Β

"Yeah. Let's keep pretending that this isn't dangerous for all of us." Rosalie snapped, all while Emmett was beside her, unable to keep his wife from snapping further.

"I would never tell anybody anything." Bella assured them.

Carlisle wrapped an arm around Esme and softly caressed her arm up and down as he spoke.

"She knows that." Carlisle told Rosalie.

"Yeah, well, the problem is you two have gone public now, soβ€”" Emmett stated before Esme intervened.

"Emmett." Esme warned, only that didn't stop Rosalie from continuing what her husband was implying.

"No, she should know. BothΒ of our families will be implicated if this ends badly." Rosalie explained while she took a few steps forward, all while her stern gaze was fixated towards Bella.

"Badly, as in...I would become the meal." Bella said rather uncomfortably.

Everyone couldn't help but let out a puff of air as they laughed softly at the girl's way of describing the possibility of her being in danger.

The room was silent for only a moment when the sound of Alice's ever-so-cheery voice resonated in their ears.

"Hi, Bella." Alice greeted.

She jumped from the tree and through the window with Sebastian on her trail, the same welcoming smile plastered across his face which was requested by Alice, much to his dismay.

"I'm Alice." Alice introduced before she hugged the human.

"I hope you know what you're getting yourself into, love." Sebastian told Bella.

Alice then pulled away from Bella and she got a good sniff of the human's scent, realizing how sweetly scented she was.

"Oh, you do smell good." Alice commented as she moved back to Sebastian's side, the brunette vampire placing an arm over her shoulder.

For the third time, Edward couldn't believe what they were saying in front of Bella.

"Alice, what are youβ€”"Β

"It's okay. Bella and I are gonna be great friends."Β

Edward could not stand the awkwardness any longer, which caused him to just give her a tour of the house just to get away from them.

"All right, I'm gonna take you on a tour of the rest of the house." Edward said, all while shooting a frown towards the rest of them.

"Okay." Bella answered.

"Well, I'll see you soon." Alice said.Β

Edward and Bella left the room, not without the bronze-haired vampire looking back at them with still a frown.Β

As soon as the two were nowhere in sight, Jasper turned to Miracle.

"Come on, I'll show you something." Jasper said with yet another attractive smile that could send Miracle up on cloud nine.

"You've been surprising me a lot lately. What is it this time?" Miracle said as Jasper gently pulled her out of the room andΒ out of the house where a medium-sized cardboard box was placed on the porch with little punctured holes around it.

"Jazz, when I told you it would be so cool to have a pet snake, you didn't actually get me a pet snake, did you? Because if you did, I'll run faster than you can say 'Howdy'!" Miracle said while she stared at the box on the porch.

Jasper couldn't help but chuckle at the girl's words, which earned a stern and serious glare from the brunette girl.

"I'm not kidding." Miracle stated.

The honey-blonde vampire cleared his throat before responding.

"Sorry. It's just...You're not scared of vampires, but you're scared of snakes?" Jasper said, failing to hide the small, amused smile on his face that made Miracle roll her eyes.

"Just tell me it's not a snake." Miracle said.

"It's not a snake." Jasper responded. "But he does bite..."

Miracle shot him a glare before he continued.

"...adorably." He added.

He motioned for her to open the box. Reluctantly, she approached the cardboard box and with a safe distance, she swung the lid of the box open and it revealed what Miracle could only assume was the most adorable thing she has ever seen.

"Jasper." Miracle breathed in awe as she laid eyes on her new white and grey furry friend with blue precious eyes.

"I got you a friend." Jasper told her with a soft, loving gaze and a warm, genuine smile.

Miracle gave Jasper a quick glance before looking back at the Siberian Husky puppy sitting adorably with his head slightly tilted as he stared his enchanting blue eyes at Miracle's hazel-brown ones.

"Hi." Miracle cooed while she knelt down and picked up the white and grey-furred puppy, holding him up as he wagged his cute tail.

"I've told him to keep you protected at all times." Jasper said.

Miracle looked at her boyfriend, allowing Jasper to see her beautiful, glistening eyes.

"Him?" Miracle asked.

"Yep." Jasper replied.

Miracle looked back at the dog before holding him against her body like how she would hold a human baby.

Jasper couldn't help but smile widely while he watched his girlfriend get excited over a puppy. She was hugging it and burying the side of her face against the white and grey fur of the dog.

"What's his name?" She asked.

Jasper shrugged. "You get to name him."

Miracle looked at the cute puppy while she neared the honey-blonde vampire.

"Well, this little guy is gonna be like our baby. So, we need to come up with a name that we both like." Miracle stated.

The brunette girl stood next to him and he snaked an arm around Miracle's waist while his other hand brushes through the soft fur of the puppy.

The puppy was looking at them so cheerfully like he was so happy he was there with them. His tongue was hanging out before he let out the cutest little high-pitched bark that made his new fur parents coo at him.

"The man from the animal shelter said that he likes to take a stroll...a lot. He almost never sleeps because all he wanted to do was wander around. Then when I went there, I saw him with other dogs that were really big and he wasn't even fazed by them. He was really courageous, this little guy." Jasper said.

Miracle looked straight into the puppy's beautiful blue eyes as she thought of a name that was best suited for him.

"How about Polo?" Miracle asked. "It's a Tibetan origin. It means 'brave wanderer'. Perfect fit, don't you think?"

Jasper narrowed his eyes at the dog as he continued to pet him which the puppy was enjoying so much, he started licking Jasper's hand. The honey-blonde vampire chuckled asΒ  the puppy proceeded to show the man how he adored his new owners.

"I like Polo." Jasper said, looking over at Miracle.

"Then Polo it is!" The girl exclaimed excitedly, shifting her gaze back to the entrancing puppy that barked merrily while it chewed on the Miracle's chestnut brown hair.

"Well, would you look at that? He does bite adorably." Miracle muttered.

The two proceeded to get invested in playing with Polo on the porch for a couple more minutes, enjoying what extreme energy the puppy has. The man from the animal shelter was right, with his energy apexed, they doubt that the puppy even has time for a nap.

Luckily, he does have time to take a nap. After playing with his new fur parents, Polo sprawled tiredly on the hard wooden floor of the porch with his adorable blue eyes hidden under his eyelids, his tongue hanging out, and his little snores tingling Jasper's ear that it had become one of his favorite sounds, alongside Miracle's voice.

Both families were ecstatic to meet the new member of their family. Emmett wasn't particularly fond of dogs, for it reminds him of the werewolves. But seeing Polo, he made an exception.

Parker, on the other hand, was incapable of making an exception and practically jumped in the air when the dog barked at him. When asked why, he said that he was never a huge fan of dogs. Ten-year-old Parker was attacked by a savage dog and he was rattled about them ever since.

Miracle was sure that over time, Parker would grow fond of their little Polo.

What she doesn't know is how Armand would react to keeping the dog.

"If you're not freaked out by our peculiar diet, then he will." Armand said while pointed at the still sleeping Polo in Miracle's arms.

"It's not like you'll eat him anyway. He won't be freaked out because he knows he's gonna be really loved here." Miracle responded.

The girl was treating the puppy like an actual human baby and it was the cutest thing Armand had seen recently. Though, he'll never admit that, of course. He wasn't one to be open about his thoughts, not with his adopted children anyway.

"I suppose we could let him stay." Armand said.

Miracle wanted to squeal so bad but she was afraid that she'll wake up the little guy in her arms, so she simply squealed almost inaudibly.

With her body also exhausted from running around the front of the Cullen house due to Polo's undeniably large capacity for energy, the feeling of the cozy embrace that her bed has engulfed her with was more than satisfying.

She had Polo sleeping soundly beside her and she softly pets him until her phone started to vibrate in her pocket.

Seeing the caller ID being her boyfriend, she quickly answered the call and brought it against her ear before speaking.

"Hey." She greeted.

"Hey. How are you and Polo?" Jasper asked.

The brunette girl looked over at the snoring little ball of fur right next to her before replying.

"We're exhausted." Miracle responded.

"Of course, you guys are. We were playing for hours. Not to mention chasing after Parker with Polo in your hands." Jasper said while laughing when he remembered Parker running away from Miracle when the girl tried to take Polo near him.

Miracle didn't respond and instead laughed along with him before it slowly died down.

"What else?" Jasper asked right after the laughter ended while he leaned on the balcony of the Cullen house.

Miracle furrowed her eyebrows, unable to get what Jasper meant.

"Huh?" She just said.

"I mean, what else do you want?" Jasper asked.

The brunette girl couldn't help but scoff and shake her head, a small smile forming on her lips as she couldn't believe that after everything he has done for her these past few days, he still wasn't finished.

"Jazz, you don't have to give me everything that I want." Miracle said over the phone, her gaze fixated on Polo as she continued to pet him.

"Of course, I do. You deserve it." Jasper said. "So, name another one."

Miracle rolled her eyes even though he's not able to see it. She thought of the things that she wants to have or experience while she's human. And honestly, most of them are just typical teenager stuff, which was what she wanted the most considering that she wasn't a typical teenager. Nothing about her life was typical.

She wants to attend a house party and get drunk. Sneak out in the middle of the night and go to a club with fake IDs. Set up pranks in the teacher's lounge. Have one hell of a high school romance.

"If I tell you, you'll laugh at me." Miracle said.

"No, I won't. Tell me." Jasper insisted.

Miracle bit her lip, preparing herself for the reaction she'll be getting from her vampire boyfriend.

"A typical high school romance..." Miracle muttered while she covered her face, already feeling the embarrassment swallowing her whole.

On the other side of the call, Jasper has his eyebrow shooting upwards at the girl's response, surprised at what he just heard.

"A typical high school romance?" Jasper repeated, both confused and intrigued.

"I know it's nonsense. Just forget I told you that." Miracle responded.

"No, no, wait. It's not nonsense. I'm just surprised. How can an extraordinary girl like you dream of something so ordinary?" Jasper asked.

Jasper had always thought that Miracle would be wanting unique things and experiences, given that she comes from a family who had done nothing but tremendous things throughout their vampire lives, who never take things simply and always go for an extra hundred miles.

"That's the thing. With a family like mine, I've experienced a lot of amazing things. But I'm still a teenager, and I want to experience everything that a normal teenager experiences." Miracle said.

Jasper straightened his posture and turned around before leaning back on the railing of the balcony. He narrowed his eyes as he stared blankly ahead, deciding whether or not he's the right person to give her a normal experience when he's not exactly normal.

"Then typical high school romance it is." Jasper said.

Miracle widened her eyes and suddenly sat up from her bed, her chestnut brown hair fell in beautiful waves past her shoulders.

"Are you serious?" She asked.

"Yes. I've been in high school countless times. I've picked up a few things." He responded.

Miracle smiled widely and bit her lip. "Thank you. I better go to bed."

"Okay. Good night, Miracle." Jasper said.

"Good night, Jasper." Miracle replied.

Despite saying their goodnights, the call was still ongoing. None of them made a move to end it, as if they were waiting for something. Perhaps something that consists of a three-word phrase that summarizes their feelings for one another.

Apparently, it seemed like none of them was planning on saying it just yet.

"Bye." Miracle said.

"Bye." Jasper responded.

Miracle took it upon herself to hang up before getting off of bed carefully to not wake Polo up before washing up so that she could go to bed.

Meanwhile, Jasper was still leaning back on the railing of the balcony with his arms crossed against each other and his eyebrows pushed together as he thought deeply about how he was going to give Miracle a typical high school romance.

With his mind still dwelling on the topic, his adoptive brothers came into view and stood by the doorway with amused smirks plastered across their faces.

"You don't have any idea about high school romances, do you?" Emmett asked.

Jasper looked at Emmett with his expression not wavering.

"I didn't particularly pay any attention to those things in what I assume to be the thirty times we attended high school." Jasper responded.

Edward spoke as he shoved his hands into the pocket of his jeans.

"You need help?" He asked.

This made Jasper's eyebrow finally change course when they abruptly shot upwards as he almost burst out laughing at Edward's kind offer.

"From you? No thanks." Jasper said before he approached the two. "I don't need you to teach me how to sneak into a girl's room and watch her sleep."

Jasper patted Edward's shoulder while Emmett simply chuckled.

"I won't ask for your help either. I already know what you're gonna say. And the answer's no." Jasper said before walking past them.

"But, why not? It's romantic and also gives both of you a good work out!" Emmett shouted after Jasper as he walked away.

"Drop it, Emmett. I'll ask Rosie and Alice instead." Jasper responded, dismissing his adoptive brothers.

If Jasper was to give Miracle a memorable high school romance, then he should inquire with people that would give appropriate ideas than his brother's suggestions, even if it means Alice and Rosalie informing him about what he should and shouldn't do using a fifty-page list...front and back.

I haven't updated for a while, yes. I'm so sorry. I was so busy, and I still am. I just had to take a break every now and then and writing this was my break sjskskskwl. I hope you guys enjoyed it!
