REYNA MARTINEZ HAD NEVER FOUND ANY particular interest in the town of Beacon Hills. She was an urban girl at heart, with her prettily pressed collared shirts and sleek heels. The endless greenery surrounding every edge of the town and tiring local sports events bored her to no end. Literature was her gateway. By encasing herself in any and every book she could get her hands on, she found a way to escape the tedious worries of small town life. She burrowed away in her own realities, ones where she held all the cards. The monsters on the page would remain there, and the wonders of the words forever danced around in her mind. She was untouchable.

AS IT FINDS, NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY. With the mysterious deaths plaguing the unsuspecting neighbourhood, and dark family secrets beginning to unveil themselves, life stems further and further from the peace Reyna had so quickly taken for granted. She can feel an energy plaguing her, dark and haunting as the night, and twice as maddening. Chilling night terrors infest her mind, chipping bits away from her one by one. Her eternal bliss twisting to her most horrid nightmares, she could no longer find escape. It is most unfortunate—how frequently fantasy and reality overlay. How, too often, our most horrid fears become our most inescapable truths.

hello !! so i have had this
in my drafts for so so long
and i am so excited to finally
be posting it !! the first act
will follow the events of
season one and will mostly
focus on reyna's storyline and
development rather than a
set love interest right now

so quick disclaimer; reyna is
filipino and  comes from a
family of immigrants. i am not
filipino myself and am doing
research to try to be as correct
and accurate as i can, but if you are
filipino and i get something
wrong please do not hesitate
