FREDDIE JOGGED towards the commotion of shouting and roars for help. "What-What!" He hollered as he pushed past the crowd, a woman shrieking as she shoved past Freddie who furrowed his eyebrows.

Reese lied limp against the floor, blood gushing out of the crack of their skull as her eyes were blankly widened. The choppy blood pooled onto the white tile, half of her skull burnt off

His breath hitched in his throat with agony, breathing heavily as the medics took her out as they lied dead in the stretcher.

"I..." Freddie rubbed his eyes in such disbelief and hysteria, looking towards Hilary who sat on the floor, rocking herself back and forth.

"What the hell happened?" He snapped at Hilary, his face strangely stern as she gulped.
"The-the machine malfunctioned...and...and it," she motioned with her hands an explosion, squeezing her eyes shut as Freddie sighed.

"Shit."

Apollo sat on Sydney's bed, waiting for her to be done getting changed in her restroom.

He felt his eyes linger around her room, revealing several things about her, her music taste, her favorite books, her favorite color. The dark shade of red illuminated in the dim light, the sharp smell of cinnamon brought a sense of warmth to him.

The door slid open, revealing Sydney in her pajama pants and a shirt, her eyes pale as she felt her heart slowly become heavier by the moment.

Apollo raised an eyebrow as she plopped down on the seat besides him, her eyes heavily dreadful.
"Are you feeling better?" He questioned, his voice tender as she wiped her eyes which were blood-shot red.

"Guess so," she sighed, sniffling as she cleared her throat.
"I-I think I just need to rest y'know."

Apollo nodded as he stood up, looking back at Sydney who sat against the window on the carpet.
"Can you stay with me?"

An eyebrow perked up on his face, stumbling as he made his way towards her- sitting down, he shifted.
Sydney turned to look at him, "you're a good friend."

Apollo threw his head back, slamming it accidentally against the wall as he hissed- Sydney chuckled.
"Thanks, Syd."

Sebastian paced around the living room as Percy sunk into the couch, sighing in such distress they felt.

Helena swung her legs, taking a large bite out of the apple, the bitter taste melted blissfully into her mouth.

"Stop pacing dude," Percy scoffed at Sebastian who rolled his eyes. "Just chill." Alex chuckled, clicking his tongue.

"Oh, oh, I'll chill once the fucking laboratory is tested for ghosts since that one girl died in there." He snapped at Percy who blinked simply, sniffling as Sebastian adjusted his shirt.
"Just, just, I saw her get hit by the explos-"

Jonas wiped his eyes as tears strum down his cheeks, feeling terrible for their family and loved ones.

"What the hell happened?" Tobi suddenly appeared out of no where behind Helena who jumped.
"Holy sh- where were you?"

Tobi shrugged, "I was always here," he shook his hands towards Percy who held another apple- catching it, "invisibility."

Sebastian gulped," I-I dunno, I was looking at the magazine for one second and the next thing I know all hell is loose." He boggled his head, placing loose strands of hair behind his ear.

He pointed at Athena across the room who was doing her makeup with the reflection of the microwave, humming to herself.
"You! Athena!" He called out for her, Tobi suddenly became faint and soon disappeared.

"BOO!" He sprung behind Athena who yelped, leaving a long line of pink lipstick along her cheek as she groaned, turning around to Sebastian.

"What?"

"How's shit in the lab so far?" He questioned as she furrowed her eyebrows, clearly puzzled by an absurd question considering that she's never near the lab.
"Huh? What lab? Why?"

Sebastian gasped, "the girl? The-The girl who died?" He snapped his fingers, "not ring a bell?"

Athena felt her face drop suddenly, her lips gone pale as she dropped her makeup bag onto the counter harshly.
"What girl?"

Sebastian turned to Percy, "what's her name?" Percy shrugged, Sebastian turned back to Athena.
"Vaness-?"

"Reese." Hilary numbly replied, looking back at Athena with a smuggest look on her face.

Athena sucked in a sharp breath, immediately jogging up towards the bedrooms, 'Sydney.'

Elijah sat outside James's bedroom, throwing the ball up in the air and then catching it, doing it for another twenty minutes as he waited for James.

"James, dude, you gotta' come out." He sighed, feeling incredibly impatient with him, "please..."

The door suddenly locked, angering James who immediately stood up and stormed downstairs.

Luka and Sydney sat by each other in Freddie's office, the lights bright due to the natural light from the sun, the smell of sharp mint intoxicated the thick air.

Freddie cleared his throat, holding his breath in as Sydney raised an eyebrow, her bright red lips blinding as Luka tapped his foot. 'Missing out on my scrapbooking time for this.'

"Can you hurry? I gotta' finish scrapbo-reading a book." Luka corrected himself as Sydney shot him a glare, scoffing as he rolled his eyes.

Freddie leaned forward from his seat, "this was an accident. No one meant for it to happen," Freddie sniffled to the duos confusion as Sydney leaned forward with her elbows on her thighs.

"Reese...they..." Sydney gasped, hoping this wouldn't be what she thought it'd be. "They..."

Luka rose from his seat, sending it back with a loud 'THUD' as Sydney flinched. Leaving the door with another ear ringing 'BANG!'

Freddie clenched his jaw, gulping as Sydney leaned forward, her breath shakily leaving her parched lips.
"Please, Freddie, tell me...Reese is okay." She wiped her glossy eyes, "tell me my sister is safe."

Freddie buried his head in his hands, "I'm sorry..."

Sydney didn't feel anything.
She felt nothing.
She couldn't see anything but the blurry sight of tears.
She couldn't taste anything but the heat built up in her mouth.
She couldn't smell anything but the smell of sudden sweat pouring from her.

Sydney opened her mouth to say something but a strained sob came out as Freddie refused to meet her look, attempting his best not to break down easily in front of someone vulnerable in the moment.

Luka stormed down the series of stairs through the hollow hallways, he left the room, a room of deadly silence.
Almost as if he knew what would happen.

Almost as if he knew his sister has passed.

Diana threw a dagger towards the target, hitting it a bit off the chart as she groaned.

Letting out a huff as she went to go retrieve the knife, flinching as soon as another knife landed right besides her head.

"Headshot!" Roman cheered as Diana scoffed, clenching her jaw tightly.
"You could've killed me!"

"Maybe that was the goal?" He smirked as she shoved his shoulder, "idiot!" He boggled his head as he snatched his knife from her hands. "Did you hear about the lab?"

"Yeah, shit's sad." She whispered before gulping water down.

The icy gentle breeze brushed against Luka who walked towards the forest, the sunset watercolored with shades of orange from an orange popsicle.

Birds chirping as the leaves rustled gently.
Luka crashed into a tree, holding onto it for support as he felt his heart strain and pound violently against his rib cage, a lump in his throat dryly tight as his tongue throbbed.

He couldn't cry.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't cry.

The only thing that came out was a muffled wail, his chest heavy as he gasped for air.

Fire suddenly sprouted onto the trunk of the towering trees, spreading around like a virus. Luka felt the heat boil like a oiler against his skin, falling back into the dirt with a 'thud.'

The sound of fire crackling echoed, the smell of raw bark being burnt only got stronger by the moment as Luka lied numb.

Lilianna gasped as she sprinted towards the fire, letting out a difficult yelp at the sight of her dearest friend.
Dodging the fire that sizzled her skin, feeling it tint her skin red.

"Luka!" She panicked, shaking him as his eyes drifted closed, holding him in her arms as she attempted to lift him up-weighing too much, she dropped onto the floor along with him. "Luka!"

Sweat lingered along her as water suddenly sprouted onto the fire, clearing it out little by little with sizzled as fog full-filled the burnt air and ashes. Mud in every corner as Lilianna gently watered Luka with water from a leaf, hoping he'd awake.

"Luka! No-no!"

Luka's eyes shot open with a gasp as he sat up, coughing harshly as Lilianna rubbed his back. His breath scratching the back of his throat, both of their faces ashy. "Luka..."

Luka turned towards her, his eyes raging with distress, "leave me alone."
"What?"

"Leave me alone." He snapped at Lilianna as he stood up, she immediately followed behind, furrowing her eyebrows.
"I just wanted to hel-"

"Leave." His voice only grew in volume and in a firm manner, glaring at Lilianna who gulped, nodding 'no.'

Lilianna shrieked as a wave of fire crawled onto her shoulder, dropping to the floor as she gasped in pain.
Putting it out with water as her flesh was melted off, hints of yellow marked in her skin as parchment of black skin was visible.

Luka ran towards Lilianna, dropping to his knees along her as she grew only frightened.
"Lily, I'm sorry-"
He whispered, his voice cracking as he reached out for Lilianna who kicked back, "don't-don't touch me!"

Luka froze in place, weeping as Lilianna sobbed, her other arm holding her up for support.
"You hurt me," her voice rose with a whisper, tears streaming down her cheeks as they marked them with clearness.

"I'm sorry..."

"Sydney!" Athena boomed as she sprinted across the hallways, her breath quickening as she turned her head around out the sound of a gut-wrenching shriek.
