THE STUDENTS huddled around Bruce who held his hands together behind his back- his buttoned shirt now wrinkled.
"All right, please listen up. Your next challenge will be an aquatic one." He said sternly as the students raised an eyebrow.

"Looks like we'll be fishing," James clicked his tongue as he steered an invisible fish line, as Elijah chuckled- rolling his eyes.

"No, I mean...aquatic, aquatic." Bruce smirked as he moved away from his position, the student's gasped at the sight of the obstacle course- crystal clear water beneath it as hurdles were placed as well as monkey bars with thick material.

"Now, who would like to go first?"

Freddie hovered over the edge of the concrete, his eyes skimming into the deep water as he sucked in a sharp breath- looking back at Bruce.

"Wait, we gotta' go under water?" His voice trembled slightly as his legs felt terribly weak, Bruce tilted his head.
"Yeah, unless you're able to climb the three walls."

Freddie turned around, his eyes tracing along the rocky walls that blocked the rest of the obstacle, clicking his tongue.

"Yay Freddie!" Lilianna clapped as she bounced, smiling within hope her brother would make it.

The students watched as anxiety gripped them by their throats, the feeling threatening to bring panic upon them as the sun boiled their skin raw.

Freddie sighed as he hovered slightly, licking his bottom lip as he began to steady his heavy breathing.

Suddenly jumping outwards as his foot left the ledge, his body slamming against the wall; rocks stabbing his sides as his hands scratched at the rocks.
Letting out groans as he held on tightly, feeling his muscles clutch.

"Woo!" Lilianna cheered as Sydney laughed, crossing her arms as she did so.

Freddie lifted himself up, breathing heavily as his legs began to slam against the wall- the rocks poking at him as he yelped.

Stretching his arm outwards, his foot suddenly lost grip as he immediately tumbled past the rocks that punctured him into pain. 'CRASH!' He violently slammed into the water as Lilianna felt her smile drop.

Freddie gasped as he swam towards the ledge, his face pale as he held his stomach- looking up at Bruce as he floated in the water.
"Hm."

Sydney placed her foot over the edge, clicking her tongue as she smirked- hearing the cheering from the other side of the obstacle, the ones who have completed it.
'I can do it.'

Jumping herself into the water as it pushed heavily against her body as she dove in.
Kicking her feet as she ducked under the wall, immediately rising up with a gasp- sucking in a sharp breath and diving right back in. Her hair pulled back as the red shimmered underneath the sun.

Athena felt her chest suddenly become heavy as her hands shook, "c'mon- focus." Bruce sternly whispered as he intently watched.
'Focus.'

A anxious smile dove briefly on to her face as she felt the edge of her finger tips suddenly tingle.

Throwing her self into the wall which held a parade of various slippery rocks- groaning as her nails scratched at the rocks.

"Use your knowledge and strategies!" Bruce hollered as Athena felt her muscles tighten, furrowing her eyebrows at the sun which brightly glistened in the summer like heat.

Suddenly pulling a leg over the other side of the wall, holding herself up as she grunted; breathing through her nose heavily, placing an arm onto the edge of the wall.

Pulling herself over the side of the wall as she smiled briefly before coughing. Her hands suddenly slipped underneath the rocks water dripping touch, slipping down the wall as she reached.

The palms of her hands skinning raw themselves against the rocks, suddenly catching herself before slamming into the water.
"Shit!" She hissed at the stinging feeling of her palms, throbbing as it burned thickly.

Reese dove into the water, kicking her feet back as she swung her arms outwards- easily slipping
under the wall and out of the water with a light gasp.

Her eyes snapped to Athena who held herself against the wall, her eyes studying the obstacle with a strategy.

"Go!" She heard the muffled cheering of her
teammates, sinking back into the water with a deep bubble of breath.

Athena threw herself onto the water wall, groaning heavily as she blinked- a faint smile between her lips as she began to climb.

Apollo lifted himself up from the water, heavily breathing as he felt his eyes widen at the last scene of the obstacle which held a long thick row of monkey bars.
"Shit."

His hands gripped onto the poles which held the monkey bars up, realizing there was no ladder as Freddie cheered on from the other side.
"CLIMB IT!" His hoarse voice roared as his sides ached into his lungs, his breathing sharp.

Apollo gripped the poles, sliding himself up as he felt his hands damply slip away- groaning as he reached for the pole.

Furrowing his eyebrows as he felt his muscles split into several ones, throbbing in such pain as his hand immediately clasped onto the bar.
"AGH!"

Swinging himself over as both hands gripped the bar, holding his legs upwards as he began to move. Throwing another hand over as well the other, heavily breathing.

"Wah'!" Hilary coughed as the teenagers cheered for their last member, helping her out of the grasping water as she coughed heavily.

"Well, looks like this team works really well under water." Bruce grinned as he looked at Taylor whose hair was swept over sloppily, smiling toothily towards Reese who was giggling.

"Yah' could say that," Apollo chuckled as he felt his eyes trail to Sydney who still had her radiant lipstick plastered on- feeling his cheeks go warm.

Thea sat down besides James, sighing deeply as she coughed into her arm.

Luka huffed as he stood firmly, scrunching his nose at Hilary who began to laugh.
'What is there to even laugh about?'

"I think I broke my ribs," Freddie groaned as he held his sides, turning to James who smirked.
"Damn."

"It's feel big, my cu-"
"Big." James cackled as Freddie felt his face drop, raising an eyebrow as he rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"Big." Elijah repeated as he slapped James's shoulder, wheezing as Freddie turned away from them.

"Idiot".

The teenagers gathered around Bruce who stood in front of the door, ready to bring them into the world of math and technology- his world.

"All right, everyone got their goggles and coats on?" He questioned as everyone gave him a thumbs up, their eyes hidden behind the goggles.
"Mhm!"

"Yeah...!"

"I hate these goggles-"
"Ya' look goofy."

The door slid open at the sensory of Bruce's hand with a 'whoosh.' Bruce walked through the door as a gush of wind blew gently against him, sighing as he grinned.

The teenagers followed one by one as the wind hollowed against their stiff bodies.

Sydney raised a skeptical eyebrow at the scientists who studied the chemicals, some engineers began to weld metal as the 'clanking' echoed.

"Follow along," Bruce hollered as he fist bumped a scientist who walked past him as the teenagers followed along.
"Okay, gather along right here!"

Bruce and the kids huddled around the display of various machinery weapons.
"No touching anything and-"

"We get it," James chuckled as his cane followed; not caring for anything due to the fact that he wouldn't be able to look at it either way.

Hilary felt her eyes widen at such technology, grinning widely as Elijah stood by her side; chuckling at her awe.

The smell of sharp chemicals and light air suffocated in their lungs as the scientists bombed each-other with equations as chunks of chalk flew throughout the room.

Thea scrunched her nose at the sharp smell, resisting the urge to gag.

Bruce lifted a thin gun shaped weapon, the barrel of the gun suddenly exploded with various warm colors as Bruce grinned subtly, looking back at the kids as he held it tightly between his grip.

"I made this beauty myself with a few other colleagues," Apollo huffed as Bruce went on about how many years it took, "one of the most passive weapons in this room."

Sydney squinted it at, "what does it do?" She questioned with curiosity as Apollo hastily looked back at before turning back with tinted cheeks- receiving a smirk from Athena as he scoffed.

"This weapon shoots twenty-three lightning strikes in one shot," he grinned proudly at the weapon as he gently placed it back in its display; locking it as he did so.
"Where'd you get the lightning from?" Elijah brought the question, crossing his arms as the thick fabric rubbed against his body.

Bruce simply sighed, "an old friend...Thor." He turned on his heel, pushing his glasses up as he began to make his way towards the other display.
"Now, follow me."

After various uninteresting moments of weaponry showing, Bruce felt his eyes soften at the sight of the display...a display placed far away from the others.

"And, for our last one. One forbiddingly off limits," his voice felt mellow upon the sight of Tony Stark's helmet.

The teenagers anxiously huddled around the display, shoving the puzzled Stark children behind.
Elijah shoved through the crowd- glaring sharply as Hilary followed behind.

Athena shoved past Reese who frowned at her briefly before Athena glared back, immediately washing away as soon as she saw her dad's helmet; gulping as Bruce felt his face fall.

Elijah placed a hand onto the display box as Hilary sighed deeply, knowing Morgan would've loved to see this. Athena furrowed her eyebrows, blinking tears back as she turned around- removing her goggles as Elijah turned around.

Athena suddenly left the scene with a 'whoosh',' Elijah immediately jogged towards her way- chasing after her, "Athena!"

Night soon caught up to the Avengers, the moon glistened like a crystallized diamond, specks of stars bounced with shades of white as the crickets hopped around the gloomy forest.

Apollo felt his ears ring at such silence, studying his dad's display as his shield was rotted with rust- clearly not in use ever.
"Ap-"

"AH!" He jumped at the sound of a voice, turning around as he immediately recognized the striking hair.

"Sydney...!"

She grinned as she stood besides him, sighing deeply as he furrowed his eyebrows- locking eyes with her as he felt his stomach become a fluttering mess.
"What's wrong?"

Sydney shrugged simply, "just...nervous about this whole Avengers thing." She wiped her eyes as she felt her lungs ache, Apollo awkwardly patted her back.
"We all are, it's okay though. We'll become heroes some day," he smiled softly as she nodded firmly- yawning as she did so.

Lilianna sat on the couch on her stomach, swinging her legs as she smiled brightly- cutting up random pieces of paper and magazines as Sydney sat on the bean bag; snatching the remote from Reese who scoffed.
"Boring ass show." Sydney chuckled as Reese leaned forward, yawning as they did so.

Sydney glanced to Lilianna who hummed along with the music as her earphones dangles loosely.
"What the hell are you doing?" She chuckled towards Lilianna who briefly turned back, pink patterned scissors in her hands.

"Scrapbooking!" Her voice seemed peachy as her eyes sparkled, Sydney raised an eyebrow at the odd choice of colors- 'black, grey, dark blue, dark red?'

"Okay...?"

"It looks good," Reese gave Lilianna a smile who gave her thumbs up, "thanks!"

Sydney clicked her tongue as she threw the control lightly towards Reese who caught it, smirking.
"Who is it even for?"

Lilianna grinned toothily as she took her glue stick out, humming.
"For my new friend!"
