'Warm... I feel warm.'  You woke up slowly. Stirring beneath thick blankets that restricted your movement. 'What the hell...?' This felt new... Well, newer than before. Wait, does this mean you're back in your house? Your eyes snapped open, only to be met with darkness again. Was that all just a really realistic and fucked up dream? You straightened up. Something fell from your head. It left your forehead feeling wet. Your hand brushed over the item: it was a wet cloth. 'Uh...?' You lifted your head and squinted around the dark room surrounding you. You couldn't make out much, but the little you were able to see, was far from a familiar atmosphere. Still not home...

The question, why? jammed your thoughts, keeping you from thinking further. You nudged the cloth off your lap. It was getting really warm again. Your legs stirred, and that's when you realized how weak they felt. They were sore. You pulled the blanket off. Even if you couldn't see it, you could tell you weren't in the clothes you were in before. It felt like you were wearing a robe.

'I need to find some kind of light.' As that thought passed your mind, the door opened. It slid open and dim light poured into the dark room. You blinked from the light regardless, adjusting to what looked like a lantern lit with fire. "目が覚めた。"

Uh... What the fuck? You stared perplexed at the man. He walked over with a lantern and a stack of clothes. Wait, your clothes! You eyed them as he kneeled right besides you. He placed the pile of your neatly folded clothes on the ground right next to where you sat. He started to speak, but you weren't understanding any of it. What is happening? You need to take a step back. You were in your house, the snowy woods, and now a house...? With a bald man speaking to you in a completely different language. How did this even happen, again?

Once silence took over the room, you snapped back to reality. He gave you one last look before he stood and left the room. Leaving the lantern here. Your eyes lingered on the closed door before you finally looked around. It was... Fancy. Eerily fancy. A myriad of expensive trinkets and miscellaneous decorated the room with detailed wallpaper and hardwood floors. Was this... That guy's house? Damn he is rich

You looked back to your clothes and grabbed them. The room was almost cold, and the thin robe around you didn't help. You took a moment to completely change. You tried to get up and change, but your legs gave up on you. You almost fell again. So you sat and changed. 'I should ask where we are... Wait shit, I don't think he'd be able to understand me.' You stared over at the door once more. This is going to be difficult.

You slipped your socks back on before trying to stand again. You turned your body over and placed your hands on the ground. You pushed yourself into a crouched position.

How long have you been laying down for?

You legs almost shook, but you ignored it. You pushed your body upwards, only to tumble forward and almost fall. You caught yourself with your hands before you completely face planted on the floor. Taking a moment to redeem yourself, you took a deep breath and tried again. This time you were able to stand. You need to find that guy again. With that thought you slowly started walking forward. It took you a minute, but you opened the door and took a look around. You were met with the cold breeze.

You wrapped your arms around yourself. You weren't able to make out much, but you were able to tell there wasn't a roof. Or... A large sun roof. The moons light poured into the building, presenting the large but luscious tree in the middle. You walked up to the railing and looked around. The middle of what looked like the highest floor, was a tree planted right in the middle. Soft grass grew inbetween the large square railing, along with the leaves. You cranked your head up. The trees bright green leaves covered the night sky. You could barely see through it.

"今、何をしていますか?!"

You snapped your head towards the familiar voice, to see the man from earlier. You almost lit up in relief from seeing him again, if it wasn't for his abrupt and almost mad tone. You pushed yourself off the railing worriedly. "What--?" He started to spout out a bunch of words you weren't educated in. One thing you were able to understand, was his pointing. One hand pointed back to the room you were in before, while the other was occupied with a small cup. "Okay, calm down! I'll go back!" You raised your hands in defense. Even if he couldn't understand...

Either way you didn't want him to be yelling through the dead quiet building. You hurriedly shuffled back into the room you were in before. You heard soft footsteps following behind you, along with small mumbles you couldn't understand. He placed the cup down next to your bed--that was very low to the ground--before helping you back on it. You're guessing he wanted you to rest. And was upset that you pushed yourself to get up. That's... What it seemed like anyway. He kneeled by your side and grabbed the cup again. With a few soft words he held it out to you.

When you stared down at it and didn't show any signs of grabbing it, he urged again. "これが役に立ちます。" You knew better than to take drinks from strangers. But in this circumstance, did it really matter? He seemed... Nice enough. Carefully you took the cup and lifted it up to your lips to take a sip.

That. Tasted. Like. Shit.

You looked at him, but he just gave you a small smile. You looked back down at the cup. This tasted like literal throw up. You forced yourself to swallow. You were close to gagging but you held it back. He started to talk again. Seemed like he was telling you to finish it. He pointed to the cup and you a couple times. 'This... Is gonna get old. I need to be able to communicate with him. Or I'm never gonna figure out where I am.' When he finished, he bowed his head before he departed again. This time he took the lantern; you were then left in darkness. The room returned to its chilly environment once the flame was gone. But with your clothes, you weren't nearly as cold. You shifted your head down to the cup.

To hell with that medicine.

Sorry dude.

You placed the cup down next to you on the floor. Since he couldn't tell you where you were, you were going to have to figure it out yourself. You managed to stand again. Earlier, when you walked back in the room, you saw what seemed like wooden sliding doors on the opposite side of the room. Or at least that's what you hoped it was. In the dark, you took short steps; you didn't want to trip over anything. You reached a hand out, and were met with the door. You felt around for a handle to pull. Finally, you grasped something and pulled. It opened, but you weren't met with a sight you wanted to see. You were high up. Like really high up. And there was no railing. Below was just a pure drop. But what was below? Well first off, below was the roof to the second floor. And below that, was a massive fucking lake. Glittering under the moonlight. Surrounded with wooden walkways that stretched on for miles, all connecting in patterns like a family tree. Smaller buildings, or gazebos were placed every few hundred feet. There were lily pads and flowers floating on the water too.

You were far from home.

Creeek..!

You snapped your head around to the thin sliding door on the far side of the room. The wooden boards creaked right outside. Was he back? The bald man? It didn't feel like it. It felt like something bad was right outside the door. Something about it made your stomach twist. The air became thick but cold as a soft breeze blew into the room. That wasn't him.. Was it? The door was gently grabbed and then slid open. What stood there, was not the man. But a taller, bigger and intimidating one. Your eyes met his peculiar ones, and you froze.

"飛び降りるおつもりではないと良いのですが。かなりの高さですから。"
