Kwon, who had been running late, was buying some toys for Brandon and some flowers for Tory. He had no idea of her tastes, so he opted for daisies. The walk was getting shorter and shorter for him; he was nervous. He had never done that for anyone before. It was the first time he'd ever opened his heart and showed himself like that to someone. He used to be cold and cocky, but with her it was different; she did it better. As Kwon walked toward West Valley, he didn't notice a car near him. Robby, who was looking at his phone, noticed Tory's new boyfriend. Miguel noticed him too.

—Who is that? —Miguel asked in a whisper from the passenger seat.

—That's Nichols' boyfriend —Robby said seriously, leaning back.

Sam slammed on the brakes when he heard that.

—What do you mean, her boyfriend? But sensei didn't say —Sam said, confused, but Miguel signaled him not to continue.

Robby locked the car.

Kim smiled sardonically.

Kwon looked at him with determination.

—you wouldn't dare. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to protect Tory and fulfill my role as a leader.
