"What are you smiling about in here?" Five asked Lavender as he entered Klaus's room.

"Look. Their painted Lavender... like my name" Lavender smiled while holding her hands out showing him her nails as he grinned slightly and sat next to her .

"Sorry for being kinda rude to you earlier, you we're making Klaus sad" Lavender told him as he shook his head.

"I get it... maybe I pushed it a little to far" Five shrugged as Lavender gave him a look.

"You think?" she joked as she pushed her shoulder slightly .

"You shouldn't be getting so attached to him Lav. If we can't stop the apocalypse I don't wanna see you hurt" Five told her as the brunette sighed.

"Five with all do respect. You're been my only friend for forty five years. My best friend. Now that i'm out here... in the real world things just seem different this way. Even if it's just for a few days i'm trying really hard to make the most out of them" Lavender said as Five sighed with a nod.

"Luther and I are about to go meet some insane people with a fake brief case. You wanna come?" he asked her as Lavender smiled.

"Meet you in the car?" she asked him as he nodded and excited the door. She then pulled out a small note pad and pin before writing to Klaus.

Klaus,
Five and the moon boy brought me to help them out. If you're home before I get back don't worry and don't leave. See you soon

and with that she used the Lavender colored nail polish to put a small dot by her name as she then left the room to join the two brothers in the car.

Lavender, Five, and Luther has been waiting on the side of a abandon road for Hazel and Cha Cha to show up. The silence nearly pained Lavender and she wanted to yell something out like how's the weather or this road was smooth. But she knew Luther didn't want to hear her voice and she knew Number Five would scold her if she did.

"You know I never enjoyed it. War, the killing, I mean I was good at my work and I took pride in it. But it never gave me pleasure. I think it was all those years of just the two of us alone. It can do funny things to the mind" Five said out of the blue.

"Yeah well you were gone for such a long time. I only spent four years on the moon but that was more than enough. It's the being alone that breaks you" Luther said.

"Wrong" Lavender now spoke up from the back getting odd looks from the two .

"It's not being alone that breaks you, it's the feeling of being alone. You can stand in a room filled with people and feel alone... that's when you'll break. Knowing everyone sees you as just some burden or even just a random person" Lavender said as the boys blinked at her.

"Did you do the same things he did?" Luther asked her now.

"Once. Couldn't stomach it though... thankfully the compassion let me just be by his side though it, documenting, distracting. I was a lousy shot anyway" Lavender said with a side smile. Luther slightly chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I never intended on make you feel like you didn't belong. Things are just stressful lately" Luther said.

"I understand that and you don't have to make me feel like I belong I'm really aware that I don't. But the thing you do need to know is that I care about Five, and I care about Allison, and Klaus, Diego, Vanya, Grace, Pogo. All of them which makes me care about you too. So suck it up because i'm not gonna stop doing that anytime soon" Lavender said making Luther nod and look forward with a tiny grin.

"Think they'll mind?" Luther asked looking down at the briefcase. Considering Klaus destroyed the other one the three had to substitute it with a faker one just so the assassins would believe it.

"Well what I do know is that their desperate. It's like a cop losing his gun. The commission finds out, they'll be in deep shit. No to mention they'll be stuck here until they get it back" Number Five said with a sigh.

"Well I should hold onto it. Incase they make a move on either of you" Luther said as he glanced between the two.

"Okay Luther. But be carful. The both of us have lived a long life but you're still a young man" Five said getting the slightest of odd looks from Luther.

"You've got your whole life ahead of you" Lavender added in.

"Here we go" Five mumbled as they saw the car pull up. The three got themselves out of Reginald's old car just as the masked people pulled past them.

"If this all goes sideways do me a favor and tell Delores i'm sorry" Five said as he watched the people get out and now faced Luther. He looked over at Lavender wondering if she'd wanted to say anything .

"Tell everyone I love them... aside from it only being a few days. I love them" Lavender said as Luther nodded and the two humans from the future walked toward to be close to the people with mask.

"The mask really necessary?" Five asked as they then pulled them off throwing them elsewhere. Lavender glared as they only thing keeping her from hurting the people in front of her for what they did to Klaus was Fives hand wrapped around her forearm.

"So where is it kid?" Cha Cha asked looking toward Five.

"Wow that's how you're gonna start. You know we can get right back into our car and call it a day" Five said just as Cha Cha pulled out a gun.

"You won't even make it half way there" she glared.

"You should consider getting the damn gun out of the both of our faces. Your only getting yourself deeper and deeper into the shark infested waters with me. First you attack the academy nearly hurting Allison, Luther, and Diego. Then you think it's a grand idea to take Klaus, torcher him and then you killed that amazing and I mean literally amazing detective" Lavender said trying not to let her emotions get the best of her right now .

"And as i'm sure you found out in your previous foream my brother isn't your average giant" Five said to her.

"He's right you dropped a chandelier on him, got right back up" Hazel added in as he couldn't help but give Lavender a sympathetic look.

"By the time you take him out he'll smash your precious brief case to a pulp" Five said.

"Probably us to right?" Hazel asked.

"Damn straight" Lavender glared his way .

"So how do we help each other?" Hazel asked her.

"I need you to get in contact with your superior so I can have a chat with her face to face" Five simple said .

"About what?" Cha Cha asked confused .

"Non of your business" Lavender said to her.

"Just don't tell her about the brief case" Cha Cha said after a few moments of silence.

"Fair enough" Five said as the four went their separate ways as Cha Cha dialed a number on the pay phone and Five along with Lavender leaned against the car.

"What happens now?" Luther asked eyeing the two .

"Now we wait" Five said. Lavenders ears perked up as she heard the sound of a ice cream truck near by. As they all turned to see a older looking one coming there way. As they passed Klaus waved at the three with a large smile on his face as Diego yelled from the passengers seat.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Five asked confused .

"It's a set up" Cha Cha said as her and Hazel started firing but then everything feel still. Lavender glanced around confused as her and Number Five where the only ones that seemed to be moving.

"Near trick isn't it?" a voice heard from behind the two making them turn their heads in confusion only to the the Handler standing there .

"Hello Five, Lavender. You both look good, all things considered" Handler said with a grin.

"It's good to see you again" Five said as he stared at her.

"Feels like we met just yesterday. Of course the both of you were a little older" She joked making Lavender roll her eyes .

"Congratulations on the age progression by the way. Very clever, through us all off the sents" she told them.

"Well I wish I could take credit. We just miscalculated the time dilation, rejected the creators and well you know... here we are" Five shrugged.

"Are they gonna be okay? Frozen like this?" Lavender asked looked at all the frozen people around her.

"They will be, no need to worry" Handler told her making Lavender nod.

"You know your efforts are trudial. So why don't you tell me what you both of you really want" The handler said taking a step forward .

"Well we want you to put a stop to it" Five said annoyed .

"You realize what you're asking for is next to impossible even for me. What's meant to be is meant to be. That's our raise on decktry" Handler said with a shrug.

"Yeah well how bout survival?" Five asked as he now held the gun at the woman and pushed Lavender behind him slightly.

"I'll just be replaced. I'm but a small clog in a machine" she shrugged.

"Maybe that's worth it" Lavender said to her.

"Maybe. This fantasy the both of you have been nurchesing about a normal life and summoning up your family to stop the apocalypse is just that a fantasy. As for you Lav I mean yours is quiet confusing to me, you know you aren't normal but yet you stare longingly for the life others live. I must say though where all quiet impressed with both of you. Your initiative, your stick to it abnishion. Really quiet something , which is why we want to offer both of you a new position back at the commission in management" Handler said with a smile. Lavender looked over at the ice cream truck sadly then back toward her as a five scoffed.

"Sorry what's that?" he asked her basically reading Lavenders mind.

"Come back to work for us you know it's where you belong" Handler said as Lavender quickly shook her head.

"Well if didn't quiet work out to well the last time" Five glared.

"Yeah but you wouldn't be in the correction decision any longer i'm talking about the home office. You'd have the best health and pension and an end to the sesless travel. You're both a distinguished professional in school boy shorts and purple nail polish" Hander laughed .

"It's Lavender not purple" The brunette quickly corrected the lady.

"We have the technology the reverse the process of all of this. You can't be happy" Handler said sadly.

"I'm not looking for happy" Five glared.

"Where all look for happy. especially Lavender over here. We can make that happen, we can make you both yourself again" Handler told her .

"What about my family?" Five asked looking around at them.

"What about them?" She asked confused.

"We want them to survive" Five said to her. Handler glanced around.

"All of them?" she asked.

"Yes all of them you crazy bitch" Lavender glared now getting a small laugh from the lady.

"Well I'll see what I can do. Do we have a deal?" Handler asked. Five looked over at Lavender .

"Two things.. Lavender stays here with them" Five said.

"That isn't gonna work" Handler shook her head.

"It's gonna have to work or you won't get either of us" Five glared at her as she sighed.

"Fine" Handler shrugged and Lavender nearly felt a rush of relief.

"One more" Five said before walking over moving the bullet out of the blindspot near Luther and breaking Hazels gun. Handler then looked at Lavender next to her.

"I don't blame you" she said getting a odd look from the girl.

"Wanting a family, wanting to be in love, have a best friend. It all seems to  be happy.... but in the end could you actually be happy without your Number Five?" Handler asked her as Five walked over.

"He's my best friend. We'll find our way back to each other after he blows your little commission to bits" Lavender glared at the lady who just chuckled. Five hugged the girl.

"Stay safe" she whispered to him.

"I'll be back for you" he told her so quiet she nearly didn't catch it before the two pulled away.

"Under next time Lavender" Handler smiled at her as her and Five disappeared and time snapped back into place soon. Lavender ducked down as bullets flew her way before she ran back to Luther and pulled herself into the car just as he threw the brief case.

"Guys cmon!" Lavender yelled from the backseat seeing the three running toward the car. Luther jumped into the passengers seat as Klaus and Diego jumped in on either side of Lavender in the back.

"Luther go!" Klaus shouted at her as Luther stepped on the gas and Lavender and Klaus flipped off Hazel and Cha Cha from the backseat window.

this is my longest chapter and I honestly can't believe I just finished episode five. It feels like I just started the book
