RYU JAEHYUN DANCED AROUND THE PLATFORM, HOPPING LEFT AND RIGHT as both spiteful and annoyed glares were thrown across the train station. Mostly Slytherins discussing how a disgrace it was to have him in their respected house. It surprised many when the ball of sunshine and anxiety somehow got thrown in with the snakes. So it was expected that he'd have no friends in his own house, which he luckily did. One, Regulus Black, though it was quite a hidden friendship, usually they'd meet up at night at the Astronomy tower.

"Seohyun wait on me!" Jaehyun dramatically called out as he was killed in a hug by his father. "Dad let go!" He whined out childishly as he struggled to get out of the bear hug. Seohyun grinned as he watched his brother already heading over to his little friend group.

As Jaehyun struggled to get out of his father's grip he had finally managed to hop onto the train waving goodbye to his parents.

Jaehyun quietly started to check the compartments through the barely see through glass, trying to find an empty compartment. When he saw an empty compartment he immediately, headed inside, well bolted inside out of both relief and excitement. He put down his trunk and decided to grab his notebook.

He started writing on some stories that he had been planning to publish once he had gotten a stable job. Jaehyun quickly got drowned in his 'working mode' as he scribbled and scribbled some words onto the little notebook that was always in his robes or at least his pockets. After a good twenty minutes he was already too tired to continue writing and decided he'd fall asleep instead.

Meanwhile the infamous Marauders stumbled into their usual compartment, and all of a sudden their eyes fell onto a quiet sleeping boy. Sirius his eyebrows had shot up in the air, "What is that?" He asked rather blunt as his eyes kept in contact with Jaehyun his still body. James shook his head, "Reckon he's in our year? Looks around the same year." He stated, the mysterious boy moved a bit startling the two boys. Peter snickered at his friends reaction, "Chill out he's not going to bite you."

James snorted, "Yeah, right Pads?" He asked with clear sass in his tone. Sirius rolled his eyes, "Oh shut up! It was one time!" He exclaimed grumpy. Remus laughed softly as his eyes kept glancing back at the sleeping boy in front of them. "Isn't that Ryu? Ryu Jaehyun?" He asked as his eyes focused on the half hidden face.

"Who's that?" Sirius asked his eyebrows once again perking up in confusion. Remus shrugged, "Umh.. I'm not sure actually.. I've only heard him be called on during class because he falls asleep- a lot actually." The werewolf explained, briefly from what he could remember about the boy. Sirius snickered slightly at the mention of Jaehyun falling asleep, seeing as he once again was softly napping in their usual compartment.

"Should we wake him up?" Peter asked as he had already sat down on the bench ahead of Jaehyun. Sirius his eyes widened, "What? No! What if he overhears our plans for our pranks this year? He's a Slytherin!" He exclaimed, his normal tone turning into a slight tone of disagreement and annoyance. James, who usually was all in with Sirius through and through, shook his head, "Okay- this doesn't mean i tolerate Slytherins.. but- doesn't he have like no friends because the Slytherins don't want him in their house?"

Sirius scoffed, "Surely it can't be that bad-" but James cut him off with a mother like glare which shut him up. "Whatever, just- just make sure he's sleeping or sum." He spoke clearly not agreeing with their current arrangements. After a good hour the fuss had already been put to a stop, that was until..

Jaehyun softly grumbled, his eyes slowly fluttering open. His vision was blacking out here and there and his eye sight was incredibly blurry. When he finally got his normal vision he was met by two Marauders, Remus and Sirius. He yelped in surprise, causing him to look to his side to only find the other two Marauders sitting there as well.

His cheeks went bright red as he embarrassedly looked back at the first Marauders he had seen. "Ah- Umh- I'm sorry- i should.. i should leave-" He exclaimed stuttering, Sirius watched in amusement. Never in his life had he thought he'd find a.. scared Slytherin? Remus smiled gently, "You're welcome to stay if you'd like." His gentle charisma and smile had made Jaehyun blush even more. He gave him an awkward smile and shook his head.

"Ah- no- no I'm fine! I- I'd rather sit alone.." He softly explained, staring embarrassedly at the ground, then suddenly his eyes widened and he sat up straight immediately which startled the other guys in the compartment. "Oh- not that i wouldn't mind sitting with you guys! I- i mean- i just usually sit alone and- y'know do quiet people stuff- I'm sorry I'm rambling!" He had all said that in one breath, he embarrassedly stared at the ground chewing the insides of his cheeks. Sides of his cheeks were turning pink as he kept his head low, a tint of colour showing on his skin quickly.

Remus softly chuckled as he shook his head and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry mate! We won't force you to stay, of course you're still welcome to join us if you feel like it." He softly explained, Jaehyun went even redder, he nodded hastily but shook his head. "N-no- no it's fine, really.. i don't want to interrupt whatever prank you're deciding on doing in my common room next.. But- please refrain from using strawberry jam to coat the dorm again.. I'm kind of-, deathly allergic-" Jaehyun gave them an awkward smile. Remus his eyes widened and nodded.

Jaehyun sat at his breakfast table, putting down his tote bag which held spare robes, spare clothes, spare socks, and some slippers. Being in Slytherin he never knew what to expect. In those 4 years he had already spent in this school he had experienced it all. From having birds be set loose in his dorm, to having paint be exploded during lunch, to having their shoes expand and turn into scorpions, to his clothes having turned into lemons, to having to wake up with wax as a bed. Seeing as it was still summer he had expected the hall to flood or something along those lines.

"Jaehyun~!" Seohyun sung as he plopped down sitting on the table next to him. His older brother, Seohyun was currently in his last year of Hogwarts, as a Gryffindor. The snakes all sent sneers towards the lion at their table which only made him laugh. "Seohyun-ah!" Jaehyun whined as his brother completely messed up his hair. Though Jaehyun had immediately forgotten it already and got up instead.

"Come on, let's go to your table." He said as he made way to the table which made Seohyun who had stood froze for a couple of seconds trying to comprehend what he was doing, followed in suit. Seohyun made place for the both of them, shoving a few of his friends almost onto the ground. Amara Thesis grinned as she saw the younger approach, "Hello! Our favourite little snake has joined us again!" She exclaimed happily, Caspian sleeping exhausted onto his plate. The boy his head having long slammed against the wooden table with lidded eyes.

Jaehyun awkwardly, yet kindly smiled at her, giving her the most awkward thumbs up you'd ever see in your life. "Hide me from the Marauders please." The boy spoke to his older sibling who just turned to give him an extremely confused look. The snakes and the lions had always had unecessary commotion, building up the hatred and beliefs that had always been existing. It just kept growing into a spiteful pit to which even teachers had began joining and favouring students in their given curriculars. "Why? Did you somehow get in trouble? Or did you embarrass yourself so badly that you don't want to show your face anymore?" His eyebrow was slightly raised, Jaehyun blushed and turned away embarrassed.

"Eh- the- the second one yeah.." He mumbled out bitterly, his bother had always been his shield. Whether it was for a bully, for his anxiety for public speaking or just life in general, Seohyun had always been there. Like an unbreakable force of confidence protecting his awkwardly build anti-social mind. Seohyun snorted, "Yeah good luck they're not too far away." He stated, Jaehyun looked up and saw the four boys almost falling of the long benches from laughter just two seats aside from him. Two.

Amara snickered at her younger friend and shook her head, "Ah, i was wondering how long it would take this year." She laughed, Jaehyun imitated het laugh before sneering at her. "Shut the fuck up." He mumbled. Seohyun smiled, "Come on, you eat." He said as he started loading breakfast on his brothers plate. Jaehyun whined and shook his head annoyed, "I'm not hungry!" The younger whined out as he dragged out his words. Seohyun gave him a pointed look, "You're eating. Last time you forgot to eat for an entire weekend because you were so caught up in your writing."

"Meh meh meh!" Jaehyun taunted which just made Seohyun roll his eyes and chuckle. "It was one time!" The boy exclaimed a bit too loudly which made a few heads turn his way. Jaehyun went bright red and immediately slumped in his seat embarrassed. Those few people who had turned their heads had included the Marauders.

"Isn't that the sleeping guy?" Peter asked mindlessly as he chewed on his breakfast. Remus nodded as he put down his book, "Umh-.. yeah, yeah that's Jaehyun Ryu. And- next to him is his brother.. Soo-Seoyhun?" The boy slightly stuttered trying to pronounce the name correctly. James snorted at the struggles which just got him a smack around the head.

Sirius hummed, "Ah.. why is a snake sitting at our table?" He sneered annoyed, Remus rolled his eyes at his friends antics. "Don't be foolish, we've told you, nobody in Slytherin likes him because.. he's apparently too.. kind-ish?" James nodded.

"Besides it seems like he's got more friends outside of his house than inside, not that i blame him those snakes are all assholes." He muttered bitterly, his hatred for the Slytherins had been present even during his pre Hogwarts day, and it only got worse the second they had met Snape on their first train towards the castle. Sirius sighed and nodded, "Whatever, he's still a slimy pesky Slytherin." He muttered.

Peter frowned, "Well- he seemed rather.. well weird when he saw us.." He explained trying to find the words to describe however Jaehyun had been acting when they first met. "Like.. kind of anti-social..?" He explained rather unsure of his choice of words. Remus snickered and nodded, "Mhm, yeah, he doesn't seem to socialize that much other from friends from his brother."

"Wait- isn't his brother in his last year?" Peter perked up, remembering the dramatic entrance the day prior. James nodded, "Yeah- he's the Quidditch captain right now, reckon he'll give it to me?" He asked hopefully.

Sirius snickered, "Nah mate, i reckon he'd give it to Rowens rather than give it to you." He explained which got him an annoyed glare from the glasses boy. "Really funny Pads."

Remus frowned all of a sudden, "Wait- so he won't have any friends next year?" The question had caught the attention of the entire friend group. Sirius shrugged, "He can't be that lonely, surely he has some sleeping buds." He explained his hand making twirls with his piece of toast.

Peter frowned as well, "I don't think he has friends besides the ones who are supposed to graduate this year." James snorted, "That's a bit phatetic to say."

"We could become his friends, he seems interesting." Remus softly explained as he put down his fork seeing as he had finished his breakfast. Sirius his eyes widened, "What? No! That means we have to take in account that he's a Slytherin as well! Our pranks go over snakes!"

"Quiet down!" James hissed as he glared at his friend. Sirius rolled his eyes as James once again ruffled and messed up his own hair. "He's literally like a seat or two away." He whisper yelled.

The friendship hadn't come to a start yet but sooner or later small occurrences their friendship would bloom into an unbreakable bond. Fate had plans for them they would've never known, because an invisible string had always tried to pull them towards each other.

FIRST YEAR, first time

Jaehyun waited patiently on his brother in the library, they had made a pact to meet up on the first day after the sorting. He was close to having a panic attack when he had heard he had gotten in Slytherin, a house different from his brother. Meaning he'd end up all alone with the snakes.

Suddenly he felt someone harshly bump into him, "Ah!" He exclaimed as his face was pushed against a bookshelf. "Sorry!" A voice exclaimed, Peter Pettigrew.

Remus had slowed down and picked up his books, "Here, sorry for them. They're excited to.. Umh- do something." He smiled gently as he placed the books in Jaehyun his hands.

Jaehyun awkwardly grinned, "Y-yeah- umh.. yeah thanks!" He exclaimed completely embarrassed and running away leaving a stunned and confused Remus Lupin behind

FIRST YEAR, second time.

Ryu Jaehyun happily skipped through the halls on his own before halting when he saw a group way to large for his liking. He put a stop to his skipping and awkwardly stopped. He turned around and decided to take a longer route to lunch, whilst waddling mindlessly as a song of the Beatles played in his head he bumped into someone once again. That had been the fifth time that day alone.

He looked up to see James Potter, he awkwardly smiled and made a small bow as apology. "Er- Umh- sorry.." he embarrassedly apologize, facing the ground after a second or two of eye contact. "Hey, no worries!" James happily exclaimed, clearly not noticing the green tie he was wearing.

"James did you grab the paint-" Sirius halted when he saw a pair of unfamiliar shoes, those were converse yeah but not the red kind James always wore. Instead they were plain black, a bit boring but a good choice nonetheless. "Oh- Umh.. hello? James we need to hurry!"

Jaehyun smiled and bowed once again, "Umh, yeah you should head back, once again sorry for bumping into you like that." Jaehyun awkwardly smiled before turning to his heels and walking away.

FIRST YEAR, third time.

Jaehyun sat in the library, writing in his beloved notebook some more ideas for future and planned stories when he felt his hand cramp up a bit. "Dammit.." he mumbled as he tried to shake it off, which honestly didn't help much.

Jaehyun opted to bite his hand to see if the cramp attack wanted to leave, and it didn't. So he started shaking his hands again, accidentally throwing his notebook to the other side of the library. His eyes widened in surprise and he immediately bolted towards the direction his notebook had flown.

Meanwhile Sirius Black was getting laughed at for the mysterious notebook that had decided to hit him square in his face. "What even is that thing?" The boy exclaimed annoyed as he held his eye in pain. James Potter was wheezing so hard he had fallen off of his chair.

Sirius picked up the notebooks and checked the sides confused as to where it had came from. Jaehyun ran towards the notebook almost flying over a chair where James had previously been sitting on. "Ah- I'm sorry that's mine!" He apologized, panting and almost tripping over the chair.

Peter started to laugh softly at the commotion in front of him, and Sirius eyed his subconsciously with a slight sneer. "Yeah whatever dirty snake." He muttered to himself as he tossed the notebook back to the poor anti-social boy.

SECOND YEAR, first time.

Jaehyun tried to grab the ingredients needed from the cabinet but even with much effort failed miserably. His potions partner, Alice Fortescue seemed to patiently wait as she was happily chatting with her friends. Jaehyun wasn't abnormally short nor quite tall so he was standing on his tippy toes. He stumbled backwards bumping into one of his housemates, Severus Snape.

"Watch out mudblood." He sneered pushing him back. Sirius seeing every opportunity to sneer back at the boy immediately turned to him. "Woah keep your filthy mouth to yourselves Snivellus. Mind blood status, focus on that gigantic nose of yours." Sirius clapped back, purely enjoying the fact that he could sneer at Snape.

Severus glared back at him, "Keep yourself out of this blood traitor." He spat, his voice lacing with venom. Sirius his eyes were screaming that he wanted to kill the boy, "Watch that filthy mouth of yours."

James had realized whatever had been going on and so ran over to the commotion. "Woah Snivelly what you picking a fight for?"

"Okay stop it! Detention all three of you!" Professor Slughorn yelled. Jaehyun awkwardly stared at them, "Umh- right.. thanks.." he mumbled quietly though he wasn't sure if Sirius nor James had heard him. James his gaze however turned to the boy, "You alright? You seem a bit- short.. no offense."

Jaehyun went red and nodded, "Umh.. could- could you please grab the umh- umh baneberry for me..?" He awkwardly stared at the ground as the question rolled off of his tongue. James happily nodded and grabbed the ingredients for him, "Here you go." He said planting the Baneberry in his hands.

SECOND YEAR, second time.

Jaehyun planted himself on to his seat on the end of the Slytherin table. He felt a sudden churl in his stomach, it was his free period so he decided to hop towards the kitchens. On his way he had stumbled on the staircases one or two times. He entered the kitchens to see Peter happily talking to the elves.

He awkwardly smiled and bowed his head out of politeness. Jaehyun had picked up some cookies and immediately left, too awkward and anti-social to make any type of conversation.

SECOND YEAR, third time.

Jaehyun was happily skipping his way towards Transfiguration till he overheard some fights happening. It was the infamous Marauders and some of his housemates, Mulciber, Avery, Malfoy, Snape and Rosier. Ready to go in a head to head fight with the Marauders, Remus, James, Sirius, Peter and also Frank who seemed ready to jump someone.

"None of my business.." Jaehyun quickly mumbled as he sped up his walking pace and headed towards the class.

SECOND YEAR, fourth time.

Ryu Jaehyun and Seohyun were bidding their goodbyes to one another seeing as Gryffindor was in front of his dorm. "Elizabeth," Jaehyun politely waved which had surprised the woman who happily waved back. "Don't go socialize to much!" Seohyun called out with a snort.

Jaehyun imitated his snort, over exaggerating how stupid it had sounded. "Fuck you." He stated which only gave him a chuckle and an eye roll. Jaehyun waited till the portrait closed before it opened up to reveal the four Marauders.

"How did you snakes already know we were-" Sirius slapped his hand harshly over the mouth of James, who only recieved a bite and a glare. Jaehyun stared at them awkwardly and quite embarrassed. "Umh- hi." He said, "Yeah no- i should go.." He bolted away leaving the four Marauders confused.

THIRD YEAR, first time.

Jaehyun trailed through the train trying to find his brother who had lost his jacket. His eyes widened happily as he saw someone with almost identical hair and the laughter was similar to the one he usually heard whenever he passed that certain compartment. He swung open the door.

"Seohyun, you left your jacket-" His fluent Korean had stopped when he felt four guys stare at him, four guys he hadn't expected nor wanted to walk in on. "Ah! I'm sorry you're not Seohyun!" He closed the door again, well rather slammed it shut.

THIRD YEAR, second time.

Jaehyun was scribbling in his notebook again near the Black Lake, waiting for something to pull him out of his boredom. And yet, somehow Merlin must've heard his calls as sooner or later people had gathered to swim. James jumped in, dragging Peter along with him "James!" The poor boy called out before his head was pulled underwater.

Jaehyun frowned as his notebook was getting splashed just slightly, "My notebook.." He spoke sadly as he closed his book and decided to get up.

THIRD YEAR, third time.

Jaehyun was sprinting down the hall to get to class on time, and surprisingly from the other hall four faces also came running late. "Huh- also late?" James called out panting as his legs were about to give up.

Jaehyun awkwardly smiled but nodded, "Umh- yeah! Yeah kind of forgot how far- fuck! How far Charms was!" He whined out speeding up his legs.

THIRD YEAR, fourth time.

Jaehyun hummed softly along the tunes as a Beatles song played in the Gryffindor common room. Amara was currently painting his nails whilst he was playing Wizards Chess with Seohyun. "I swear if you win again I'll rip of your head and feed it to the lions and mail it to father." Jaehyun threatened. Seohyun wheezed at his choice of wording.

"Damn.. kinky.." Sirius muttered from a far as he and his friend group were planning their upcoming pranks on the other side of the couches seeing as the other half was preoccupied with Jaehyun, Seohyun and Amara.

FOURTH YEAR, first time.

Jaehyun was softly snoring on his brother his bed, he had felt nauseous during the day and had been excused from further classes. Seeing as well, the Slytherin common room didn't nearly feel as warm and cozy as the Gryffindor one did Seohyun had allowed the boy to take his bed.

Jaehyun groggily woke up, rubbing his eyes his entire body was aching. He groaned softly and decided to get a snack, when he opened the door he saw four boys, one of them ready to Bombarda Maxima their door. "Umh- hi..?" He spoke confused and awkward.

"Shit! Everyone is supposed to be in class!" Sirius groaned annoyed. Remus sighed and rolled his eyes, "As should we you know?" He replied sarcastically his brows raised in attitude, "Shut up moony!"

FOURTH YEAR, second time.

Jaehyun was sleeping in class, again, he had been falling asleep on a daily basis at this point. After studying and making his homework that was due the next day he'd stay up hours after midnight procrastinating and writing down ideas and stories on its one, see it as one shots.

"Mr. Ryu?" Professor Slughorn repeated again raising his voice. Jaehyun whined, a harsh por was giving in his side which had surprised the boy awake. He stared around groggily before back at the teacher. "So what's this again?" Professor Slughorn asked once again, motioning towards the small bottle of liquid.

Before Jaehyun could come up with a snarky reply like, 'i don't know, can't see from this seat.' Remus had already nudged him to shut the fuck up. "Aging potion." He softly murmured the answer.

"Aging potion!" Jaehyun said immediately perking up. Slughorn nodded, "Next time maybe actually.. pay attention please. Keep sleeping for the dormitories." A few sniggers were heard across the classroom. "You're a lifesaver." Jaehyun spoke to his current seatmate who only sat next to him because all the seats had been taken.

FOURTH YEAR, third time.

Jaehyun was venturing through the Forbidden Forest, which technically wasn't allowed but, who actually listens to rules these days anyways? His breath hitched when he heard a tree branch or branches break behind him. He turned around and saw no one, so he shrugged off the cold feeling and walked again. Smiling at nature's elements.

He was clearly unaware of the four Marauders who had been playing as their Animagi forms there who had just gotten away with a lot of luck. "Shit mate that was a close one.." Sirius muttered.

"It wouldn't be that weird besides the fact that Peter was biting my ass!" James hissed as he rubbed his butt, Peter snickered and Remus rolled his eyes. "I told you we should've brought the map, but you lot said nobody comes to the forest!" He exclaimed in quite a temper as his voice mimicked his friends a few hours prior.

with me i went hiking for 3.5 hours
