chapter thirty six
look after you
ใปโฅใป

HOW MANY TIMES had Jordanna sworn that she was never to step another foot in the Bayou? Too many times. And every single time after she would say this, where would she end up? The Bayou.
Again.
A scowl occupied her face as she and Klaus made their way around the Bayou, she didn't understand why Klaus liked to drag her down here so much; she guessed it was because he knew it pissed her off and he liked pissing her off.
Ass.
He had also taken to questioning her every twenty seconds regarding Anastasia. What was she like? How the bloody hell is she seven when she was born seven months ago? Who did she look like more? Did she just so happen to mention who, out of the pair of us, was her favourite?
As annoying as the questioning was, it took her mind off of where she was. God she hated the Bayou... the messed up hair from the wind, the werewolves who looked like they wanted to rip her limb from limb, the dirt that sat under her shoes... yeah, it was safe to say the Bayou wasn't her favourite place.
Jordanna trudged after Klaus slowly, her hand wrapped around his forearm as he led her to Jackson and Aiden, a grimace accompanied her face as the Kenner werewolf spun around, soon followed by Aiden. "Gentlemen," Klaus greeted with a stiff smile, "We come bearing gifts."
The Mikaelson threw one of Jordanna's old duffle-bags from her Mystic Falls cheerleading days to the floor, the bottom of the material seeped with crimson red. Jackson looked up at the two warily, spotting the blood that tainted the bottom of the bag, "The hell did you two do?"
Klaus simply smiled. "We removed the heads of the wolf leaders who refused to relinquish Finn's moonlight rings!" He clasped his hands together happilyโor proudly. Jordanna couldn't tell.
Jackson rolled his lips into his mouth, turning to Aiden with an unamused look on his face before he met Klaus' eye again, "You brought me a bag of werewolf heads?"
Klaus shrugged while a grin slipped onto Jordanna's lips. "Happy wedding day," she exclaimed, a toothy smile etched on her face as she looked between Jackson and Aiden, noting the confused, yet wary, look on the Kenner's face she continued. "It's a wedding present, duh," she gestured down to the bag of heads.
"Oh, uh, thank you?" Jackson frowned.
"Welcome," she mumbled, small smile still intact.
"Besides, I can't have witch sympathizers in my army," Klaus rolled his eyes, wafting a hand around causing Jordanna to roughly nudge him between the ribs. Klaus winced, huffing, before he spoke up again. "With the exception of Jordanna, of course."
"Of course," she added with a shrug of her shoulders and a playfully eyeroll.
Jackson narrowed his eyes at the Mikaelson's words, "The wolves are not now, nor will ever be your army."
"You know, you are a brave and selfless leader, Jackson. And I'm positive you'll remain so for the entire duration of your reign," Jackson nodded slowly at Klaus' words as a confused Aiden came to a stand beside the Kenner. "Festivities begin at eight at our Compound. Spread the word. And, do arrive early enough to clean yourself up. It's your wedding day, for God's sake!"
"Yeah..." Jordanna trailed off as she did a one over of Jackson, meeting his eye she sent him a pointed look, "Just because you have that... dog like nature in you, doesn't mean you can roll around in mud like they do. Please, or so help me God, clean yourself up before you get married. I didn't plan your entire fucking wedding for you to muck it up with your dirty fingers, which by the way... ew. Sort them, please."
Klaus smiled falsely at them before he and Jordanna turned away, making their exit. As they walked the vampire turned to him abruptly, nibbling on her bottom lip anxiously, "Be honest... how bad does my hair look right now?"
Klaus inwardly rolled his eyes but prevented himself from doing so as he stared at the vampire's head. "So very bad," he told her with a bitter smile.
Jordanna's eyes widened. "I'm joking," he rolled his eyes, "On a scale from one to ten, ten being Hayley bad I'd say a seven-"
"Seven!" She practically screeched. Damned wind, she had a wedding to go to! Now, she'd look like she'd gotten into a fight with a tree.
"Don't worry, sweetheart," he told her sweetly, a teasing smile contoured his face as he glanced at her. "I don't think I've ever been more attracted to you."
"...Oh," she frowned, "Is that supposed to be a compliment?"
"Obviously."
"It didn't feel like it."
"Well, it was."
"So you're saying when my hair is bouncy and full of life you don't think I look hot?"
"I never said that."
"Yeah, but-"

"Okay, so I got you some shoes because God forbid I'm not letting you wear them ugly little boots," Jordanna scoffed distastefully, gesturing down to the combat boots on Hayley's feet as she placed a pair of her heels on the floor.
Hayley gasped mockingly. "That hurt me, JJ." Her lips formed into a small smile, "But thank you."
Jordanna nodded as she folded a clipboard under her arm, "It's alright. Least I could do. Besides, I don't want you looking stupid, you are getting married after all..."
"I know," Hayley sighed, taking a seat on her bed. "I never imagined that I'd be the one to get married. I always thought it'd be you before me if anything."
Jordanna smiled lightly. "I doubt I'll ever get married, Hales," she told her as set her clipboard down on a cabinet.
"What?" Hayley frowned in confusion. "Why not?"
Jordanna sent her a playful, pointed look, "Nik isn't the marrying type, and I can't see myself with anyone else... so I'm fine with that," she shrugged.
"Really?" Hayley asked in surprise, "If I remember correctly you and your friend Blondie had a bookโa scrap book or something, of what your future wedding's would look like. The hair, the flowers, the dressโI think you told me something about a June wedding..."
Jordanna sighed in reminisce, a small laugh escaped her. "Ah, the June wedding." A smile pulled at her lips. "No, that was Caroline's thing. She got the June wedding and I got the peonies and baby's breath."
"You both couldn't have the flowers?" Hayley frowned in confusion.
"God no," Jordanna told her in an obvious tone. "One or the other Hales," Jordanna tutted playfully. "Speaking of, I've gotta go, I need to make sure no incompetents mess up your flowers."
"Oh yay," Hayley grumbled.
Jordanna patted her on the head in passing before calling out, "And for the love of God, sort out your nails, I know you're a hybrid and everything but that doesn't mean the claws need to be out twenty-four seven. Fix them please."
"Only because you asked so nicely," Hayley remarked sarcastically.
"You're a peach," Jordanna grinned from the doorway, clipboard in hand again. "Thanks."

The ballroom was full to the brim with decorators and caterers, setting up for the soon to be wedding, when an annoyed Jordanna exhaled deeply.ย "What the fuck is this?" She asked as a worker walked passed her, a bunch of flowers in his gripโthe vampire snatched one from his grasp and examined it before she looked up, raising her eyebrows as she met his eye.
The worker looked around cautiously, "Uh, a flower?"
"A flower, yes," Jordanna nodded in confirmation, "I'm glad your eyes are working. Now, what colour is this flower?"
"...Pink?"
"Pink," she nodded again, poking the inside of her cheek with her tongue. "What colour did I ask for?"
"Baby pink?..."
"Baby pink. This is not baby pink, this is hot pink. I didn't ask for hot pink, if I wanted hot pink flowers I would've asked for hot pink flowers," she said hastily, shoving the flower back in his grasp. "Baby pink. Understand?"
The worker nodded, hurriedly scrambling off before he demanded someone to get on the phone with a florist. Jordanna rolled her eyes, idiot.
"Oh my God," she cursed to herself as she scribbled down on the clipboard in her arms. "I just wanna' slap and shake them all."
At the other end of the Compound Hayley and Jackson slowly made their way into the ballroom, Jackson rose his eyebrows as he and Hayley took in the scene around them. "Oh, I so do not belong in your world," Jackson commented, whistling as he spun around.
Hayley scoffed, glancing back at him, "My world? Give me some credit. I'm not exactly the girl who sat around fantasizing about her wedding day."
Jordanna inhaled deeply as she stared up at the decorator on the balcony, who was sorting out the long curtain that draped to the ground. "A little to the left, Daniel," Jordanna yelled up at him. "No, my left you fucking idiot!"
She exhaled deeply, grip tightening on the clipboard in her hand before she strode off after making sure the curtains were perfectly aligned.
"...And if I had," Hayley trailed off, gesturing toward the large wedding cake that was being pushed away on a cart by one of the caterers, "It probably would have looked a little less like... this."
Jordanna scoffed upon hearing that and hit the Marshall, soon to be Kenner, upside the head with her clipboard in passing causing the brunette to wince at the impact when the vampire came to a stand in-front of her and Jackson. "This is the best I could do on short notice you ungrateful whore," she sent her a false smile.
"And I love you for it," Hayley retorted sarcastically. "Oh, how I dreamed of having hundreds of flowers..."
"Which look pretty as fuck."
"A seven freakin' layered cake that no one's gonna' eat."
"I'll eat it."
"And the violinist? Did you seriously have to get one of those?"
Jordanna shrugged at that. "It'll cover the noise of me being sick in my mouth when I have to watch you two kiss," she grinned at the soon to be married couple.
"Maybe we should keep the violinist around then so I can do the same when I turn a corner and ohโthere you and Klaus are, making out as usual," Hayley retorted.
Jordanna rolled her eyes dramatically. "Having a healthy sex life is good, Hayley. It keeps you calm... less stressed. Try it, yeah?" She spared Jackson a glance. "Just far, far away from me."
"I'll try not to take offence to that," Jackson muttered under his breath.
"You do that."
"Jordanna, if I might intrude on you torturing that poor man, there's someone who wishes to say hello," Klaus interrupted as he walked into the ballroom.
Jordanna sighed in annoyance and followed Klaus into the Courtyard, Hayley and Jackson slowly following after her. As soon as she stepped foot into the Courtyard her eyes fell on Caroline and Elijah, the blonde holding Sebastian in her arms causing Jordanna to come to a halt.
"Are you dumb?" Jordanna stressed, making her way over to her best friend and Elijah. "Finn could be literally anywhere," she told Klaus, turning back to him as Sebastian held his arms out for his mother, babbling in Caroline's arms.
"I've taken precautions," Klaus assured the Jones, coming to a stand beside her he smiled at the baby as Caroline passed Sebastian over to Jordanna. Hayley and Jackson slowly stepped up beside them, the latter had a look of bewilderment covering his face. "There will be no uninvited guests at the wedding, and after, Hayley's wolves will be the first line of defence to this home. No more running, sweetheart."
Jordanna met his eye momentarily, staring at him warily before he gave her a nod of encouragement, a small smile sat on his lips. A grin pulled at Jordanna's lips as she drifted her gaze down to the baby in her arms, "You have fun with aunt Care?"
Caroline scoffed playfully as she pulled Jordanna in for a short hug, pulling away she answered, "Of course he did. We stopped my car with magic, which by the way scared the crap out of me and uncle Elijah blew up a house," she spoke, voice getting higher as she went on. "He had the best time."
"I'm sure," Jordanna hummed, smiling up at her before she turned to Klaus. The vampire took one of Sebastian's small arms in her hand and pointed up at Klaus teasingly. "I really hope you're not as pissy as him, I think I might just off myself."
"O-kay," Klaus mumbled, patting her on the shoulder as she strode past him, toward Hayley and Jackson.
"Sebby, this is the lumberjack aunt Hales is marrying," Jordanna whispered down to the baby before looking back up at Jackson. "Lumberjack, this is Sebastian, one half of the magical, miracle babies."
Jackson inwardly rolled his eyes at the name yet smiled down at the baby in the Jones' arms. Sebastian merely looked up at him, clutching a strand of Jordanna's hair in his little hands before he turned his attention else where, seemingly not interested in Jackson.
"Ah, he's learning fast," Jordanna grinned, Hayley shook her head lightly, rolling her eyes as the raven-haired teen spun on her heels, turning back to face Klaus.
Upon seeing his father again Sebastian held his arms out, happily babbling in Jordanna's arms. The Jones narrowed her eyes as Klaus sent her a smug look. "I birthed you, you little shit," the vampire whispered down to the child before handing him off to Klaus with a roll of her eyes.
"Don't pout Jordanna," Klaus tutted patronizingly as he held Sebastian in his arms. "It's not unnatural for people to like me over you, after all I am more... charming you might say."
Jordanna sent him a deadpanned look, "Charming my ass. Ask everyone here who they prefer and then you'll see who's charming."
ใปโฅใป
After helping Hayley get ready the vampire made her way back into the her room. Caroline was using her shower while Jordanna occupied herself with Sebastian.
The Jones sat on the floor with him, heels at her side as she watched him play with a small monkey toyย ( a toy that she knew he didn't have before, meaning Caroline got him more toys, oh, joy, he's gonna grow up to be a spoiled brat ).
Jordanna grimaced as the small child chewed on the toys arm. "We eat people Sebby, not animals." A small smile pulled at her face as she thought of a particular vampire with extraordinarily soft hair. "That's uncle Stef's job."
She sighed as she watched him. "I gotta go soon, kid," she muttered. "But Caroline will watch you and annoy the shit out of you and then you're all mine-" she cut herself off, stopping the sweet voice she spoke in, eyes widening, "Oh dear God, I sound like a mom."
"Perhaps that might be because you are," Klaus offered as he stood in the doorway, watching her in amusement.
Jordanna rolled her eyes at his sudden appearance and how creepy he was being, lurking around in the shadows like a... lurker. "Doesn't mean I have to act like one," she mumbled as she rose to her feet.
"I suppose," he hummed as she made her way over to him. He did a quick, sly, one over of her as she stood before him in her dress. "You look ravishing, sweetheart," he smirked cheekily as he straightened out the necklace that hung around her neck.
"I knowโkidding." She wasn't kidding. "Thank you," she smiled sincerely.
Klaus sent her a knowing smile, "I know you weren't joking, but ten points for effort."
ย ย Jordanna let out a small chuckle, shaking her head as he took a step forward, standing beside her as she turned, both now facing Sebastian who sat playing on the floor with the toy Caroline had gotten him.
ย ย Jordanna sent him a side glance, a small smile sat on her lips, "Can you believe that's ours?"
ย ย Klaus rolled his eyes lightly at her words, "If we could refrain from calling our child that, that'd be lovely."
ย ย It was better than shithead and little shit...
ย ย Or was it?
ย ย "I was trying to have a sentimental moment, you ass," she rolled her eyes with a huff, moving to grab her shoes before she took a seat on the bed.
ย ย Klaus turned to look at her, a brow rose in amusement, "Jordanna Jones being sentimental? It's unheard of."
ย ย "You know what else is unheard of? You losing your balls, but it can happen," she retorted as she began to pull her heels on.
ย ย "You're funny, has anyone ever told you that?" Klaus spoke dryly, a false smile sat on his face.
"Many people, actually," she replied before lifting her leg up, a sweet smile on her face. "Do the straps for me?"
"Because you asked so nicely," he remarked sarcastically, moving toward her he crouched down with a scowl prickled on his face. "You know I'm not here to wait on you hand and foot?"
A faux look of thought crossed the vampire's face. "Why else would you be here?" A dry smile pulled at her lips as he finished strapping one heel before moving onto the next.
"Remember when I told you that I was waiting before I ended your life-"
"Actually you said you'd end my 'miserable' life, which by the way... rude," she exclaimed, lifting her foot to kick him lightly in the abdomen as he finished with the other shoe, eliciting in a small giggle to spill from the baby's mouth as he watched his father wince mockingly. "My life wasn't that miserable."
"I beg to differ. Your life was merely bland and boring before you met me," Klaus held a smug smile on his face, still crouched down beside Jordanna as he spared a glance at his son.
"Your ego never ceases to amaze me," she rolled her eyes, looking down at him before she narrowed her eyes at him as he placed a hand on her knee.
A smirk tugged at his lips. "I also know something else that never ceases to amaze you," he sent her a suggestive look.
Jordanna blinked. "Look to your left," he did. "There's a small human right there," she told him bluntly.
Klaus brushed it off, waving his free hand around while his other slowly, so damn slowly, moved up and down her leg, "He won't know what I'm talking about, beside I'm sure he's due a nap while we go... pursue other things."
The door to the en-suite pulled open and a blonde head popped out, "Okay, ew. I'm still in here and have, like, vamp-hearing. Do you mind taking your little sex-fest somewhere else?"
Klaus huffed, pulling his gaze from Jordanna as a bored look etched on his face and he turned to the Forbes, "Yes, Caroline, I do mind, seeing as this is my house, my bedroom, my bathroom and oh... and the mother of my child."
"Ah, but she's my best friend, and she invited me to stay, soo..."
Jordanna pursed her lips. "Okay. Caroline you need to finish getting ready before I take you down to meet some people, their first impression of you can't be you looking like a drowned ratโ"
"Rude."
"And you," she turned her gaze to Klaus. "Later." A smirk pulled at his lips at that. "First go and see where Lijah is while I put Sebby down-"
"Sebby?" Klaus asked, a bizarre look on his face.
"Sebby," Jordanna confirmed with a nod as she came to a stand, with the help of Klaus who held an outstretched hand out to her. "Blame Caroline," she explained before bending down to pick up said child, giving Klaus a perfect view of her ass.
Jordanna noticed the look on his face sent him a pointed glance as she strode to him, baby in her arms. "Creep," she muttered before she ushered him out of the room, leaving Caroline to get ready in privacy.
Klaus merely shrugged slyly at her words, following after her as she went to set the baby down in the nursery. "I forgot to tell you, I'm going to a wedding in a few days," she told him as she handed the baby the toy he was playing with before, earning an excited squeal from the child as he grabbed it. "Alaric's. He said you can come but isn't responsible for what'll happen when the others see you."
Klaus sent her a look. "I think I'll pass, sweetheart. Besides, what can they do to me?" He smirked smugly.
Jordanna ignored his comment and turned to him. "You're seriously gonna leave me dateless?" She frowned mockingly. "Ouch."
"Well, you can always take Sebastian if you desire to do so."
"But what about-?"
"I'll sort it out, don't worry sweetheart," he assured her, hand drifting to her back as he led her out of the nursery. "Now come on, we have a wedding to be getting to."
"But-"
"Ah," he rose a hand. "Worry later. This wedding is the best entertainment we'll have for a while, don't want to miss it do we?"
Jordanna turned, frowning at the sly little smile sat on his plump lips. "Why does your face look like that? What are you up to?"
"Why must you think I'm always up to something?"
"Because you always are," she told him in an obvious tone.
His smirk only got larger.

The ballroom was full to the brim with vampires and werewolves who were all seated, waiting on the ceremony to begin. Jordanna stood beside Klaus on the balcony, as he refused to take a seat with the others. Caroline, however, was sat with Marcel, Davina and Josh after the Jones introduced them all.
The vampire slyly pulled her phone from the top of her dress as they waited on Hayley and Jackson. Klaus sent her a weirded look as he side-eyed her. The Mikaelson snatched the phone from her grip. "Why must you always look at yourself?" He grumbled, pocketing the phone away in the jacket of his suit.
A frown prickled on Jordanna's face. "Why wouldn't I?" She questioned as Elijah came to a stand at her other side, the Jones being sandwiched between the two Mikaelson's.
Before Klaus could mutter a word the violinist began and all those seated came to a stand. Hayley and Jackson walked down the makeshift aisle, hands clasped together before they reached the staircase. The two split apart so that they could walk up the two staircases before meeting on the balcony.
Mary, Jackson's grandmother, stood waiting for them atop the balcony. The music grew louder, yet softer as they made their ascent, the wolves smiled at one another warmly from across the room until they met at the altar.
"Please be seated," Mary announced, the guests did as so. "We gather together as a community seeking peace, inspired by this couple standing before you. There was a time when werewolves saw themselves not as cursed, but blessed with connection to our most pure selves. And tonight, we honour that blessing with the long-awaited unification of the two Crescent bloodlines," Mary continued as she bound Hayley and Jackson's wrists together with flowers.
"In doing so, we choose to embrace Hayley's vampire nature. With this union, Hayley will share her unique gifts with her pack," the old woman continued, handing both Hayley and Jackson a long, lit match to light their ceremonial candle. "And now, your vows."
"I pledge to honour you and defend you and yours above all others," Jackson vowed, eliciting in a smile from Hayley.
"To share in blessings and burdens. To be your advocate, your champion," Hayley continued.
"To be your comfort, your sanctuary, and for as long as we both shall live."
A small, yet sad smiled creeped on Jordanna's face as she watched the two. Would she ever get this? It's not like she was asking for Klaus to drop to one knee for her right now... but ever? In the future? Klaus didn't seem like the type to marry, he was hers and she was his. That was that and nothing would change that.
She accepted the fact that he felt like that, but she didn't know for sure. She never brought it up... she thought it was embarrassing. I know, Jordanna Jones embarrassed, weird. But she ignored the feeling that knotted in her stomach, the feeling of envy, and kept a smile on her face for Hayley.
"To be your family," Hayley concluded.
"To be your family," Jackson said with teary eyes, smiling back at her as they lit their candle. Elijah stiffened beside Jordanna, a sad look etched on his face as Jordanna met his eye, sending him a sad smile she placed her hand on his arm in comfort.
"You two have endured all the traditional werewolf rituals and trials. There is only one remaining. Jackson, you may kiss your bride," Mary smiled toward her grandson. After a short, hesitant, moment, Jackson cupped Hayley's face in his hands and kissed her deeply.
Elijah winced, looking away as Jordanna squeezed his arm consolingly. Klaus side eyed Jordanna as he watched her comfort his brother, his eyes softened and a warm smile painted across his face before he looked away.
Huh.
ใปโฅใป
Jordanna and Caroline strolled around the hallways of the Compound, drinks in hand as the blonde gushed over Alaric's upcoming wedding when Klaus sauntered their way, Sebastian in hand.
"Ermโwhat are you doing, Nik?" The raven-haired vampire asked cautiously, looking between the baby in Klaus' arms and Klaus.
"What we should've done a long time ago," he simply stated, holding his hand out to her as he came to a stand in front of her. "Come on."
Caroline and Jordanna shared a look of confusion before the Jones looked back at Klaus as he dragged her down to the Courtyard where all the other guests danced along to the sound of the music.
"WaitโNik, what are you-"
"Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please? I would like to propose a toast," Klaus announced loudly causing the wedding guests, Hayley and Jackson to turn to him with frowns etched on their faces.
"I want to welcome you all. As you know, last spring, Jordanna and I had a son and daughter. Unfortunately, our daughter didn't make it..." Klaus trailed off, a sad expression falling over his face before he covered it up. "Due to tragic circumstance, our son was lost. Now, he has returned home. His name is Sebastian, and he will here. Among his people. His family."
ย ย "We implore you... protect our son. Love him, as one of your own," Klaus continued eliciting in Jackson to nod in agreement at his words, Jordanna looked up at the Mikaelson warily, Klaus spared her a small glance, staring down at her reassuringly. "Jackson, I invite you and your bride to live here..."
ย ย The Jones blinked ferociously. "Nik, what the fuck are you doing?" Jordanna muttered under her breath with a strained smile, staring up at him wide-eyed as she caught sight of Elijah's frown.
ย ย A small, almost invisible smirk pulled at the dirty blond's lips. "Uniting your proud and noble people in peace. Welcome to the family, mate," he held his glass up toward the newly wedded couple, the pair smiling back at him. "To Hayley and Jackson."
ย ย Caroline came to a stand beside Jordanna, a small frown on her face. "You sure about this?" She warily asked the two, side-eyeing them.
ย ย "Very," Klaus murmured, hiding his smirk behind his glass as he brought his champagne glass to his lips.
ย ย "You better be," Jordanna muttered, to which he gave her a playfully look as all the wedding guests raised their glasses in the trio's direction.
ย ย "Cheers!"
ใปโฅใป
ย ย Jordanna and Klaus stood in the nurseryโdressing Sebastian before they put him to sleep. Well, more like Jordanna was dressing him and Klaus was stood, leant on the doorway watching.
ย ย "You could help, you know?" Jordanna spoke flatly, turning to glance back at him.
ย ย Klaus let out a dramatic sigh and moved forward. "What is it that you need help with, sweetheart?"
ย ย "Get him some pyjamas or something please," she responded.
ย ย Klaus did as asked, not without a noise of annoyance, eliciting in a roll of the Jones' eyes. As he moved toward her, crocodile pyjamas in hand, her face scrunched up. "Ew, not those."
ย ย They reminded her of the Bayou.
ย ย Big no.
ย ย "You ask for my help and then-"
ย ย Klaus stopped himself short when she sent him a look and he continued searching through the draws for some clothes when Elijah and Rebekah appeared in the room. "Must you intrude on every moment?" Klaus sighed in annoyance, dropping the pyjamas in Jordanna's hands.
ย ย "I'm not here to quarrel, brother," Elijah stated, letting out a small breath.
ย ย "It's Kol," Rebekah spoke hastily. "I couldn't help him."
ย ย "What?" Jordanna frowned in confusion.
ย ย "He's getting worse," the Mikaelson sister told her. "He's not gonna' last the night."
ย ย Jordanna's face dropped at the revelation. He had just come back. He had found happiness for the first time in a thousand years, he had found Davina. He had finally gotten the life he deserved.
ใปโฅใป
ย ย As much as Klaus wished against it, Jordanna brought Sebastian. Kol needed to meet him at least once before he died... after all, she was sure he'd be his favourite uncle.
ย ย The four sauntered down to the Claire tomb where Davina and Kol were, the Mikaelson spluttered out a cough, weakly stumbling away from Davina.
ย ย "I think I want to be alone for this bit," the former original continued to cough as he stumbled toward one of the tombs.
ย ย "I'm afraid that's not an option," Elijah told him, Kol turned in shock finding all three of his siblings and Jordanna stoodโa small child sat comfortably in her arms.
ย ย "Always and forever is not something that you can just weasel out of, brother," Klaus smiled sadly toward his younger brother as Jordanna slowly made her way over to him.
ย ย "Yeah," she breathed out. "And you can't die without your nephew meeting his favourite uncle."
ย ย Kol let a small, pained smile spread across his lips as he looked between his siblings and Jordanna before looking down at the child.
ย ย The six had moved Kol into the tomb where Esther held Elijah captive, the small space was surrounded by candles as Davina sat a few feet away, holding a necklace tightly in her grasp as she whispered a small spell.
ย ย Kol groaned in pain, blood pouring from both his mouth and nose as he looked between his siblings as he laid on the floor, surrounded by his family. "All my life, all I ever wanted was for you lot to care about me," he admitted, teary eyed as he tightly gripped onto Klaus' coat.
ย ย "Don't make me cry you bitch," Jordanna choked out under her breath, tears streaming down her face as Sebastian turned to her as he sat in her arms, small hands playing with her hair.
ย ย Kol's eyes glazed over to her. "I'm dying you can't bully me," he let out a pained chuckle before his gaze landed on Ares. "Thank you.." Kol muttered as the child turned to him upon hearing his voice before a squeal left his lips and he grabbed Kol's finger in his small hands, eliciting in a smile to break free on the Mikaelson's face. "For letting me meet him, Anna. I couldn't die peacefully not knowing if he was a handsome sod or if he got Klaus' looks."
ย ย Jordanna choked out a laugh, "And?"
ย ย "He's handsome, alright," Kol responded, more tears streaming down his face. "Must be your genes."
ย ย Before Jordanna had the chance to reply, Kol was overcome with a coughing fit, startling Rebekah. The youngest Mikaelson sighed sadly, moving down toward her brotherโtaking the seat behind him as Jordanna's free hand gripped his.
ย ย Jordanna swallowed roughly as the Mikaelson kept his eyes on her before he spoke up. "I just wanna' thank you, Anna. Believe it or not, you're the first person who hasn't nauseated me in a thousand years. You never once judged me, you always stood by me even if I was being a dick. You're the best friend a guy could ever ask for," he smiled sadly, gripping onto her hand tighter.
ย ย A silent sob left her lips as her face grew wetter with tears. Klaus crouched down beside her, teary-eyed as he glanced down at his brother. "Kol, listen to me. You don't have long. You're going to die," Rebekah spoke shakily, tears streaming down her own face as Kol rested his head in her lap, the Mikaelson sister pushed his hair from his forehead as Kol, no longer being able to hold back his tears, began sobbing.
ย ย "But you will die a witch, and we will consecrate your body. You will join the ancestors of the French Quarter, and those spirits can be brought back. And, I promise you, brother, I will not leave this body until we find a way to bring you home," Rebekah promised, sharing a look with Jordanna as Kol smiled back at her before he spluttered out in harsher coughs.
ย ย Davina, having just finished her spell, hastily crawled over to Kol and handed him the necklace with shaky hands as Jordanna released his hand. "I tried a different spell," the Claire witch told him with a tremble.
ย ย Tears polled in her eyes as Kol gripped her hand, he squeezed it and sent her a smile, "It's okay. I'm not scared."
ย ย Davina tried her hardest to send him a reassuring smile through her tears when Kol let out one last choked laugh before he died in Rebekah's arms. Davina sobs echoed through the tomb as she lent her head on Jordanna's shoulder, the vampire wrapped her arm around the Claire's shoulders, resting her head on the younger girl's as she too, cried.
ย ย Klaus and Elijah let their own tears free as Elijah wrapped an arm around Rebekah whilst Klaus gripped onto Jordanna's other hand as their stared at their brotherโmourning the Mikaelson who once never believed he was loved.
