daddy's home

ใƒปโฅใƒป

"HEY, JJ, I have a question." Naomi said as she, along with Jordanna and Klaus made their way into Lafayette Cemetery.

Jordanna paused and narrowed her eyes at the woman. Klaus rolled his eyes at her movements, yet again she stopped in place. "What?" The Jones asked sceptically. "If you're gonna ask me about the incident at the bar, it was an accident! I didn't know the guy was a pimp-!"

"No," Naomi rose her eyebrows. "I'm not asking you about that ..." She cleared her throat and gave Jordanna a weirded look. "Why do you hate Cami so much?" She asked with a furrowed brow.

Klaus completely ignored Naomi's question and turned to Jordanna with a scowl, "What incident?"

She waved a dismissive hand in his face. "Hush. Naomi's talking." Klaus rolled his eyes once again, it seemed all he did was roll his eyes at the woman. "To answer your question, it's because she had the biggest crush on Nik and I'm a jealous and petty person, and I don't hate her... I just strongly dislike her."

"How are you even one-hundred percent sure she had a crush on him?" Naomi tilted her head in curiosity.

"Because I'm not blind," Jordanna answered with a shrug. "I mean, just look at him, he's gorgeous, who wouldn't-" she stopped upon seeing the expression on Naomi's face. "Just because you don't swing that way, doesn't mean you can't see how hot this man is."

"Objectify me, why don't you?" Klaus grumbled under his breath. "I feel used."

Jordanna narrowed her eyes and side glanced him as they began walking past the Lycee. "Stop being such a baby, Nik. Just be grateful you never met my bisnonna she'd eat you alive!" Jordanna hissed under her breath.

Naomi gave the pair a weirded look before she shook her head. They honestly had no idea how bad they were at pretending not to be together, did they? "You two are so stupid, I hope you realise that."

Jordanna shook her head. "What ever do you mean?" She questioned coyly.

"Jordanna, come on," Naomi gave her a deadpanned stare.

Jordanna pursed her lips. "Don't 'come on' me, I honestly have no idea what you're on about."

"Much like that bar incident, might I add. Feel free to share that yet?"

"Nope," Jordanna clicked her tongue and walked ahead of the two. She turned around and began walking backwards. "We shouldn't even be giving them to Blondie," she gestured down to the briefcase in Klaus' hand. "They're Kol's, not hers."

"Yeah, well, you guys need that horse back and I need to talk to her," Naomi replied to Jordanna's words and nodded her head in gesture of something.

Jordanna spun on her feet and turned around, finding Vincent leant against the Lycee, waiting for them to arrive. Klaus rolled his eyes at the mere sight of the man. "Ah, Vincent. I should have known Camille would seek powerful fools to aid in this rather futile gambit. As I send you off to join your ancestors, just know this is her fault."

Just as Klaus went to lunge at the man, Jordanna's voice spoke out. "Nik-" She rolled her lips into her mouth as the Mikaelson shot back, stilling in place. "There's a ... Boundary spell."

A smug look crossed Vincent's face. "Maybe you'd do well to listen to her once in a while, huh?" His smirk only grew as Klaus' glare darkened with hatred.

Jordanna turned to Klaus and gave him a pointed look, she thrusted her finger in Vincent's direction. "See?"

Vincent clasped his hands together and looked between the three, "I was hoping for a simple trade, but seeing as how everything you took can't possibly fit in that briefcase, I'm gonna go ahead and assume that simple ain't exactly your style."

"Listen, Vincent," Jordanna cleared her throat and slowly approached him. "We haven't gotten everything because I threw a bitch fit and broke half of it. Now-" she paused at the appalled look on the witch's face. "Don't blame me, blame Blondie because I wouldn't have done that if she hadn't of pissed me off. If anything it's Cami's fault, which is becoming a common occurrence that I'm not too happy about, by the way."

"Yes, why don't you take down this barrier? I can show you and Camille precisely what my style entails." Klaus threatened coldly, glare still intact.

ย  ย  Jordanna gave Klaus a side glance and quietly snickered under her breath. "Kinky."

Naomi looked between the two before she shut her eyes momentarily. "Can we cool it on the Cami threats, please?"

Just then, Cami finally walked out of the tomb and joined them. Her smug expression flailed across the three in amusement. "Seriously? I have an ancient, mystical weapon of doom, and instead of agreeing to my fair trade, you're making threats."

If there was one thing Jordanna wanted for her birthday, it was to kill Camille ... Sorry not sorry.

"Fair trade?" Jordanna rose her eyebrows, focusing her attention on Cami. "I'm sorry, what? You keep tryna' claim Kol's dark objects and you've stolen from us? How in the holy fuck is that fair trade?"

ย  ย  "There she is!" Klaus announced, widening his arms with a sickeningly dangerous look on his face. "Traitor to my family, thief of that which is mine. How about I take what back is mine, kill you and be done with all this nonsense, hm?"

ย  ย  Jordanna pointed to Klaus in agreement, "I like it, straight to the point."

ย  ย  "And effective, too," he nodded back at her.

ย  ย  Cami rolled her eyes. "Don't be dramatic. Like I said, I wanted your attention and, seeing as you're all here, I'd say I got it."

ย  ย  Naomi's face held an irritable look as she scoffed under her breath, drawing Cami's attention. "I wouldn't exactly say this is the kind of attention you want, Cami. I thought we were closer than this."

ย  ย  They both knew what she meant.

ย  ย  Cami smiled dryly. "We are. But relationships are built on trust and equality, and we don't have either if you're letting them confiscate my stuff."

ย  ย  Jordanna scoffed, shaking her head as a low, heavy sigh left her mouth, she pinched the bridge of her nose between her fingers. "She didn't let us do anything. You think you can just-"

ย  ย  Cami shrugged, cutting her off. "I just want back what you took." Her gaze flitted down to the briefcase in Klaus' hand. "What, that's like, a third of them? So, would you like a third of the white oak?"

ย  ย  "Are you really gonna do this?" Naomi questioned, narrowing her eyes down at the blonde. Whilst Naomi did have strong feelings for the O'Connell she was growing more annoyed as time went by. She didn't understand just how reckless she was being, if the white oak fell into the wrong hands not only would the Mikaelsons be at risk โ€” Naomi would.

ย  ย  It made her think did Cami even care about her? Did she care that she was putting her life on the line?

ย  ย  Vincent, who had now had enough of the constant squabbling, scratched at his head, an annoyed expression fell over his face. "Okay, listen โ€” I'm gonna leave you four alone. But, uh, y'all want my advice? Y'all best to finish this up before someone finds out what she took."

ย  ย  The four watched as he turned and walked away from them, ferociously muttering under his breath as he did so.

ย  ย  Naomi ran a hand through her hair in clear irritation and began pacing up and down, Cami only watched her with an entertained smile.

"Jesus Christ," Jordanna muttered before she turned to Klaus and Naomi. "I'm going back to the compound, gonna see if I can find a spell to counteract Vincent's, then we can get the white oak." She said before her eyes flitted to Cami's, the Jones woman stepped forward, just before the salt barrier and gave the O'Connell a dangerously sinister smile. "And if it's gone or someone's taken it, Naomi won't be able to stop me from tearing you apart. This is my family's life in your hands, anything happens to them because of you and you're dead, you understand me?"

"Get me my trinkets and I'll happily give it to you," Cami told her with a shrug.

A scoff left Jordanna's mouth, she gave Cami a look that screamed fuck yourself and spun on her feet, heading back towards the entrance of the cemetery. Footsteps sounded out from behind her and she turned her head, finding Klaus following after her.

"I'm coming with you," Klaus mumbled as he caught up to her, matching her stride. "I am not being near those two while they're like that."

"Like what?" Jordanna rose a brow, turning her head in curiosity.

"The tension is insufferable."

Jordanna sat cross legged on the floor of her bedroom, her rosary beaded necklace was wrapped around her palm as the white bear that Caroline had gotten Anastasia sat in front of her. The Jones stared down at it with narrowed eyes.

She knew that the teddy was somewhat possessed with a magical essence and she knew it was Anastasia. She didn't have a logical explanation for it, but she knew, call it mother's intuition, if you will.

She looked over at her son who laid in his crib, sleeping, before her eyes flitted back down to the set out in front of her. Her grimoire sat in front of her and candles surrounded her in the shape of a triangle.

The Jones closed her fists tight together, clutching the necklace harder in her grasp. Her fading hair started to blow softly in the growing wind as her closed hands hovered over the open pages of the book.

The wind picked up just as a loud bang echoed across the compound. Jordanna clenched her jaw in annoyance as the wind dropped, putting the candles out with it. Jordanna exhaled deeply and shot up to her feet in irritation.

In his study, Klaus ferociously searched through the room for Cami's dark objects โ€” just then, an unhappy Jordanna rushed into the room.

"Hey!" She called out, gaining his attention. "Quit it with all the noise, I'm tryna' do something."

Klaus turned to face her and rolled his eyes, a sarcastic tone was held on his tongue as he spoke. "Oh, I'm sorry. Has my therapist's betrayal inconvenienced your to-do list?"

Jordanna sighed in exasperation. "One. Shut up, I'm trying to find a spell to help us outta this mess. Two. You're gonna wake up your Goddamn son and the only thing that calms him down is his favourite toy."

"Which she stole because you pissed her off."

"Because she's a cunt!" Jordanna all but screeched, defending her actions. "Plus, she wouldn't have even known it was made of white oak if you didn't tell her. If he wakes up because of all this slamming around, I'll kill you. Now, can we get this over with?"

Klaus picked the duffle bag up wordlessly as he watched Jordanna gesture towards the door. She rose her brows and he rolled his eyes, making his way over to her.

As they headed out of the room, she turned to him with an unimpressed look. "We still shouldn't be giving them to her."

"Jordanna-"

The vampire held her hands up in mock surrender. "Just saying, what if she goes all coocoo and uses them on us? It's like giving a serial killer a knife and saying go nuts."

"I don't really think it's anything like that, you're exaggerating."

"Suuuure."

The highly irritated couple made their way back into the cemetery, Klaus held a large duffle in hand, filled with the dark objects whilst Jordanna walked besides him, boredly swinging her baseball bat around in hand.

Jordanna gave him a look as she sensed something. Someone. Though, it wasn't a familiar presence. Klaus shared that same look in worry and rose a brow. "If someone is playing games, just know the contest ends when I ..."

The witch, who was hiding far behind them, waved her hand over the stick of sage she held, and all of Klaus' words were drowned out, as though he was underwater. He threw the bag to the ground and pulled out his phone in irritation.

He turned to Jordanna. "Try Naomi," he offered. Wordlessly, the Jones did just that, pulling her phone out of her back pocket to call the older vampire, she frowned seeing that there was no service.

"No service," she muttered up to him, shoving her phone back into her back pocket. "Maybe we should-"

"Camille!"

"Okay, yeah, no, screaming at the top of our lungs works too, that'll get her attention," Jordanna muttered sarcastically, sending him a side glance. "She would've heard us walk in, Nik. She's either up to something, or ..."

"Or?"

"We're not alone," Jordanna finished, cautiously looking around her as her grip on the bat tightened.

"She's right, you're not alone." A voice from behind them taunted, causing both Jordanna and Klaus to spin on their heels, facing the mysterious witch. The witch showed no hesitation as she held the palm of her hand out in Jordanna's face and blew dust at her.

The Jones coughed at the familiar substance and felt herself grow drowsy before she stumbled aside, dropping her baseball bat as she did so. It wasn't even a moment later when she felt a darkness creep over her and take her hostage as her body fell to the floor โ€” rendering her unconscious.

The witch, Madison, turned back to Klaus and gave him a blank stare. "And Cami can't hear you ... as a matter of fact, pretty soon, she'll be dead."

But before he could make a move she vanished, as though she was never really there. Klaus, in his own fashion, screamed out to her. "Show yourself!"

Klaus, sensing the witch behind him, turned to face her, his eyes widened with recognition. "You're one of the coven affiliated with the Strix."

"My sisters and I have come for the one thing that can kill you," she told him, keeping her eyes on him, though she didn't seem scared.

"Well, perhaps I'll find your sisters and feed them what remains of your insides," Klaus threatened coldly, glaring at the young woman as he stared down at her threateningly.

Just as he went to lunge at her, he was blocked away by another boundary spell, Madison sneered at him smugly. "I have a better idea." She thrusted her hand out and lifted it upwards, causing Klaus to go flying up into the air. She cast a momentary pain infliction spell, causing him to shout out in agony until she flicked her wrist, snapping his neck and allowing him to fall to the ground below.

It was a little while later when both Jordanna and Klaus had awoken, only to find that the white oak had been taken from Cami's possession. They had found the pair held up in the mausoleum and it wasn't even seconds later when everyone blew up.

Jordanna pointed the tip of her baseball bat in Cami's direction, she rose her brows and clenched her jaw in anger. "What did I fucking tell you, huh?" She rhetorically asked before she gestured towards Klaus. "Nik was nice enough to bring you your fucking dark objects and you can't look after one little wooden horse?"

"And I said I was sorry," Cami defended with a sigh, moving to brush past Jordanna.

The Jones, however, not in a seemingly good mood, slammed her bat down besides Cami's head, stopping her in place hastily. The barbwire wrapped around the bat skimmed against her face whilst doing so.

"You're sorry?" Jordanna asked with a scoff. "Sorry doesn't fix shit, it won't bring it back, will it?"

"Then shut up and let Vincent track down that witch!" Cami snapped.

Jordanna's tongue poked the inside of her cheek as she slowly shook her head. "You're testing my fuckin-" She stopped upon seeing Vincent pack up his stuff, coming to a stand. "Where the Hell are you going?"

"I want to find her just as much as you do, but I cannot concentrate, not with this pointless bickering."

Klaus rolled his eyes and sarcastically gestured towards the door, "Well, then, by all means, please, go, attend to your task."

Once Vincent had left, Jordanna turned back to Cami. "I don't understand why you're so fucking stupid, I mean, if Klaus dies, you die. Why would you even put yourself in that position?" Perhaps Jordanna didn't understand why was because she had spent majority of her teenage years avoiding it herself. She ran from danger, yet it followed her anyway, and even then, she wouldn't purposely risk herself.

"That vulnerability Klaus is feeling right now ... that's what I deal with all the time."

"You're a vampire, Cami, you have the ability to protect yourself, you don't need dark objects for that," Jordanna pulled a face.

"No, you can protect yourself, Jordanna, I'm not you. I can't just kill every other person who looks at me funny with no remorse. I need my dark objects. Why do you think I'm so desperate to protect myself? If you had just given me what I asked for ..."

"Do not blame her," Klaus frowned deeply, taking a step forward. "She was merely trying to protect my brother's legacy, are you surprised she didn't want you to have them?"

Cami slowly nodded. "I took a calculated risk, yes. Did it blow up in my face? Yes. And I am sorry. I am. But if you had just listened to me, we wouldn't be here right now." Suddenly, Cami's phone began to ring in her pocket, but she ignored it. Though, the more it rang, the more Jordanna grew annoyed. "It's the same story with you-"

"Answer your phone before I break it."

Cami sighed and lifted her phone to her ear. "What?" She snapped at the person on the other line.

"Cami, you need to listen to me," Davina's rushed voice came through the other end. "One of the Strix witches knows where you are and she knows that you have the white oak."

"You're a little late, kiddo," Cami sighed. "She already took it, which means ... I guess the Strix have it now."

Jordanna blinked, her annoyance only grew as the seconds slowly drew by. But the question on her mind was what captivated her, how the Hell did Davina know all of this?

"No, you don't understand," Davina said frantically. "When she got inside my head, I got inside hers. She's not working for the Strix."

Aurora.

ใƒปโฅใƒป

It wasn't long before Naomi had made her way back to the cemetery and, after a lot of disagreement, taken Cami home โ€” allowing Jordanna and Klaus to make their way back to the compound.

Jordanna, however, had ventured back to her room. She needed to get a head start on finding Aurora with the white oak, so it was back to the grimoires for her.

Following the same steps she had done earlier on, she placed the candles around her in a triangle and laid out her grimoire in front of her, Anastasia's bear placed behind it.

She gripped her rosary beads tight in hand and closed her eyes, allowing the soft Latin to fall off of her tongue effortlessly. Without so much as an incendia, the candles lit, an orange hue fell upon the dark room and the wind blew, only raising the flames higher.

Her chants grew harsher, as did the wind. Her hair smacked across her face softly, she felt the breeze across her skin and sighed. Her eyes peeled open as she picked up a pin from the floor and prodded her thumb, allowing a crimson droplet to break free.

She drew it across her palm in a circular motion and continued with her chants. But suddenly, a loud crackle of thunder was heard from outside and harsh rain smacked against the windows aggressively. Noticing something was going wrong, she was about to put her actions to a stop when her head flew back and her eyes grew white from the pupil.

The words came out of her in a struggled choke, her chest heaved for air as she slowly lost control of her actions. Her body shook ferociously and the crimson blood on her thumb faded into a black, the same colour as the blood that began to fill up her mouth.

Her words grew harder and harder to say as the blood filled her mouth and suddenly, her body grew hot, as though she was on fire.

All of a sudden, the candles dropped, rendering the room in total darkness and Jordanna's head slowly inched forward, eyes still as white as snow. The black blood from her mouth slowly dripped down her lips, hitting the floor with a mocking echo.

Slowly, her eyes returned back to their normal ocean blue as she came back from the entrapment. She spat most of the blood to the floor and muttered an incendia, allowing the room to fill with light again.

Only for her to see the one person she had not wished to ever see again.

There, sat in front of her, was her father, covered in ash, yet alive as the eye could see. His hair had greyed just the slightest bit and his eyes dropped as he stared at her wordlessly.

Oh, fuck.
