my love, my life

JORDANNA'S LEG ANXIOUSLY bounced up and down against the foot of the car as she and Klaus pulled up to the house where Elijah and Rebekah had taken residence.
The second Klaus parked the car, Jordanna pulled the passenger side door open, as did Klaus. The Jones hesitated, her hands shook ferociously as she rounded the carโshe blinked hastily, ridding her eyes of any unwanted tears that tried to push their way through the threshold.
Her breathing was laboured as she caught sight of the small child in Rebekah's arms. Without even realising it she sped up, moving at a fast rate to reach her child. Rebekah looked up, meeting her eye, smiling as she caught the attention of the person she called her best friend.
Rebekah slowly made her way over to Jordanna when the raven-haired vampire stopped in her place hesitantly. As the blonde came to a stand in-front of the Jones she smiled gently, handing a smiling Sebastian over to Jordanna.
Jordanna froze as she held the child in her arms, "Hi," she whispered down to him, gulping harshly as she stared down at his large, blue eyes. He merely stared up at her before his eyes drifted, finding Klaus' necklace that hung around her neck, his fingers played with the beading mindlessly as his attention drifted over Jordanna's shoulderโonto Klaus who stood still in his place, too overwhelmed to move.
She hated children, babies, anything of the sort. They grossed her out, they scared her, but yet she couldn't find it in herself to hate this one. Not even be the slightest grossed out by it. No, she'd make an acceptation, just this once. Turning, she met Klaus' eye who seemed to mirror her own state.
Jordanna slowly made her way over to Klaus, holding Sebastian tightly in her grip. His eyes met hers and she sent him a warm, reluctant smile. She handed him their child, idly smiling as she stood beside Klaus, watching as he carefully cradled Seb's head. Her face lit up as she watched Klaus smile down, teary eyed, at their son.

"Curse on the first-born? What the bloody hell is that supposed to mean?" Rebekah asked in confusion as she threw wood into the fire-pit, turning she faced Klaus and Jordanna in question; who refused to help her.
Jordanna claimed she had come down with a dizzy-spell; even though, that was not likely with her vampirism. And Klaus? Well Klaus was just lazy and idly stood by with his child in his arms as he watched his sister do all the work.
"Well, according to Finn, our sister Freya didn't die of plague. She was taken as payment by our aunt Dahlia, who then cursed all Mikaelson first-borns for eternity," Klaus responded, thinking back to what Finn had accidentally let slip earlier.
"Is it true?" Jordanna asked as she turned to look up to Klaus.
The Mikaelson merely shrugged before Elijah spoke up. "It is if we are to believe Finn, who learned it from the bastion of truth, our mother," Elijah replied sarcastically.
"Well, no wonder Finn hates us," Rebekah voiced with a sigh, continuing to throw wood onto the fire. "He lost the sister he adored, and instead got a judgy pack of siblings who found him unbearably dull."
"That's lovely," Jordanna retorted sarcastically. "More problems. Is there any chance we'll run into the Wicked Witch of the West?"
"The fable's over a thousand years old. Dahlia is long dead, you needn't worry, Jordanna," Elijah told her in attempt of reassurance.
"Like how your mother was dead?" Jordanna remarked, turning to face him. "Or Kol and Finn? Or, oh, I don't know. Mikael?"
Klaus turned his attention to Jordanna. No matter how much she tried to hide it, he could tell that she was growing anxious. It was the little things that outed her, like the way she'd mindlessly grab his necklace that sat around her neck, rubbing the beads between her fingers to calm herself down or she'd crack her knuckles over and over again. He took a small side-step towards her, bumping his shoulders with her own, "No one's going to hurt Sebastian, because nobody is going to find him."
Jordanna looked up at him and exhaled deeply, nodding lightly.
Klaus sent her a small smile before his attention turned to his sister, he sent her a flat look. "There's enough wood, Rebekah. You'll burn down the whole bloody state of Arkansas," the hybrid stated in annoyance.
Rebekah rolled her eyes and ignored her brother as she excitedly rubbed her hands together, "Well, we're just missing a key ingredient!"
Klaus' face pulled into a scowl. "No, we're not," he sighed, tone blunt.
"Yes, we are, Nik! Back me up, Elijah!" Rebekah demanded, turning to her older brother.
"I suspect Niklaus would rather choke on the ashes," Elijah remarked.
"Yeah, no. I'm lost, what are you all talking about?" Jordanna asked in confusion, looking between the Mikaelson siblings.
"Well, before we light it, we write down our wishes for each other to burn for luck! It was Kol's favourite part when we were kids!" Rebekah told Jordanna cheerily, the Jones raised her brows at the enthusiasm in the blonde's voice.
Klaus rolled his eyes. "It's further evidence as to why we should ignore it!" He protested, earning a smack on the arm from Jordanna.
"Don't be a dick," she told him with her own eye roll. "We'll do it for Kol."
ใปโฅใป
Jordanna held Sebastian on her hip as she wandered around the house, a pack of chocolate buttons in her hand for him as she searched for a notepad to write down their wishes.
As she entered a bedroom she made her way over to the bed-side table, pulling it open she fished around the draws in search of some paper. "Where's the paper, huh?" She whispered to the smiling child in her arms.
"What?" She asked, in that same low, (weirdly enough) sweet tone. Seb weakly lifted his arm, wiggling it about playfully as he pointed at something behind her. Jordanna turned, finding a small teddy, wrapped in a pink ribbon, that Caroline had gotten her, just in-case she was to have a girl. It sat atop the cabinet next to the door, leaning against a lamp.
Jordanna frowned, she was sure that wasn't there when she walked in. The vampire strode across the room, moving to grab the teddy when suddenly it shot forward, falling to the floor. Her frown deepened as she bent down to pick it up.
She felt something. She wasn't sure whatโbut there was some kind of energy looming around it. "Not creepy at all," she muttered down to her son, before she sighed deeply, shaking her head ever-so lightly.
Taking a seat down on the bed she bounced the child up and down on her knee as she stared down at the teddy in her hands. Anastasia. She clicked her tongue and handed the toy to Sebastian.
"You know, when I was younger, I had a cousin. Just like you had a sister," she told him, watching as he played with the toy in his hands, nibbling on the ear causing her to grimace. Gross.ย "And sometimes they leave us. Even if we don't want them to. But . . . with the world we live inโand by that I mean the supernatural, which soon enough you'll learn to be a pain in the fucking ass, they could still come back to us. We can only have hope that they do."
When Jordanna was little, five or so, she and her cousin (on her mother's side) were the best of friends. Jordanna Anastasia Jones and Giana Emilia Jones used to run around causing havoc at the young age. Messing with a little blonde Caroline Forbes in any way they could, pulling her hairโcutting up all the work she'd do in kindergarten. They were messes.
But one day, when finally they stopped tormenting the poor blonde, the three youngsters decided they'd go swimming in a lake near Giana's house. But the three small children never anticipated that something bad was bound to happen.
Jordanna hadn't a clue to her magic yet. Though, without her knowing, weird things happened around her. Like if she got angry or annoyed, something would break, explodeโor worse . . . she'd hurt someone.
And she had been tainted with that since her childhood. She, Caroline and Giana were playing in the lake whilst Mary and her sister (Giana's mother) sat and watched idly along as the three splashed about in the water.
Jordanna, at merely five years old, did something. She didn't mean to, she didn't know she did it. She only figured out it was her magic when she grew older. She grew angry at her cousin because she wouldn't share the donut float with herโI know, drama-queen, much? But you see, five year olds tend to be whiney little twits.
And something happened, she didn't know how, but Giana started drowning. It was like something was pulling at her foot and she couldn't stop it, it just kept tugging and tugging until finally . . .
It entrapped her.
ย ย After Giana had died it caused a rift in the Jones family. Mary's mother had already thought ill of her children because of their magical possession but when she found out it was Jordanna's magic that killed her granddaughter? She swore to never speak to them or of them again.
ย ย The five year did not know what she had done for her grandmother to hate her so much. And as the nights went on she figured it out. But not so much. Her mother had tried to take her to someone to talk to because of the recurring nightmares she'd have, where she'd thrash about in her bed screaming Giana's name until Mary or Howard came to calm her down.
ย ย And whenever the 'therapist' would ask about that warm, summer's evening she'd merely say the same thing as her grandmother's cruel words rang through her ears, "I got angry and Gigi drowned. Was it my fault?"
ย ย And as bad as it sounded, Jordanna was glad that Anastasia was not here for that to happen to her or her brother. She couldn't bare the thought of one of her children going through that.
ย ย But when does anything ever go Jordanna's way? Time was merely of the essence.
ใปโฅใป
ย ย It was a little while later and Jordanna had given up on finding some paper to write on for the bonfire, so she wandered the house some more before joining Klaus in the kitchenโsitting at the dining table.
ย ย "Hey," she greeted, walking through the door with a smile as she handed Seb over to Klaus before she took the seat opposite him, sighing tiredly as she rested her chin in her palm.
ย ย "You all right, sweetheart?" Klaus asked, his eyes flickering from the infant to Jordanna.
ย ย "Yeah. I'm fine," she exhaled deeply, rubbing her forehead.
ย ย "You're usually a better liar than that, Jordanna." An amused smirk pulled at his lips. "I fear that you are losing your touch."
ย ย "I'm so not," she denied, mouth agape as she stared at him with narrowed eyes, hand on heart in mock offense. "I could lie my way out of any situation, you fucking ass."
ย ย ย Klaus sent her a scornful look, playfully covering Sebastian's small ears, "There is a child right here, you know? It seems as though someone is in need of their mouth washing out."
ย ย Jordanna scoffed with a mere eyeroll, "Please. The first word that'll come out of his mouth'll probably be fuck," she thought for a moment, "Or shit. Or my dad's a fucking ass."
ย ย "And I love you too," Klaus smiled at her falsely just as Hayley walked in with a grin on her face, eyes immediately falling onto the child.
ย ย "When did you get here?" Jordanna inquired with a frown, she knew that Rebekah and Elijah had gotten in contact with her and sent her an address but had not said when she'd show up.
ย ย "Like, five minutes ago," the Marshall hybrid answered, fleeting a look at Jordanna before her attention turned back to the small child in Klaus' arms. "Hi," Hayley cooed down to the baby with a large smile, the child merely looked up at her in curiosity.
ย ย ย The smile stayed on Hayley's face as she held out a small notebook between the two. "Here. I heard about the bonfire from Rebekah and you're both doing it," she demanded, flashing her pearly whites.
ย ย Jordanna reached forward and took the pen and notebook from Hayley's gripโholding them out to Klaus who gave her a flat look. "I'm holding a small child, Jordanna. This silly wish game will have to wait," Klaus retorted with a sly eyeroll before his eyes flitted back onto the child in his arms.
"Hayley can hold him," Jordanna said, smiling smugly at the Mikaelson. "You write, she holds."
Klaus clicked his tongue behind his teethโa teasing smirk playing on his lips, as his eyes fell onto Hayley. "You do realise it is not I who is to be the husband you can boss around?" He asked before his gaze fleeted over to Jordanna. "And you? You shall boss me around when you start to talk to me how you feel, rather than acting like a pain in the arse."
Jordanna mockingly placed her hand over her heart again, before she shot him a blunt look, "Give her the baby, Nik." She sent him a sarcastic smile as he released a sigh and reluctantly handed the child over to Hayley.
"Heyy," Hayley fussed over the baby as Jordanna sent Klaus a mocking smile.
"There's a good boy," she clicked her tongue before a grin slipped on her lips as she nudged him with the tip of her heel, the Mikaelson merely rolled his eyes at her.
"Piss off, Jordanna," Klaus grumbled under his breath, snatching the notebook and paper from her hand before he began writing, "I wish Hayley would tell Elijah she's marrying her werewolf suitor, at which point I will pour him a scotch and congratulate him on the bullet he dodged," his gaze turned to Jordanna, a sarcastic smile on his lips as he continued, "I also wish that whomever is up there in the sky looking down at us all sends me all the luck I need before I off myself because of Jordanna and her incessant nagging about her damned shoes. Newsflash, sweetheart, no one cares."
Jordanna narrowed her eyes, "Don't act like you don't like my shoes, if I remember correctly you made me keep them onโ"
"Child," Hayley reminded. "Yourย veryย small child is in the room, Jords. Stop," Hayley sent her a wary look.
"He doesn't care, Hales, look at his face," Jordanna shrugged with a smile as she pointed to the grinning Sebastian in the Marshall's arms.
Hayley huffed and looked down at the child. "I feel bad for you," she said before she handed him off to Jordanna.
Klaus watched in amusement and ripped the lone piece of paper from the notepad before he teasingly waved it around and held it out to Hayley, the brunette narrowed her eyes at himโ remembering what he wrote.
The Marshall snatched the paper from his hand and crumbled it up in a ball, dropping it to the floor before she stormed off, Jordanna snorted, earning Klaus' attention. "Seems like you pissed her off, Nik," Jordanna said in a sing-songy voice, eliciting in a smile to pull at Seb's lips. "Yes he did, your dad's a dick," she concluded before she awkwardly cleared her throat at the amused look Klaus sent her.
Klaus opened his mouth to say something before Jordanna groaned.
"Don't start."
ใปโฅใป
Jordanna stood out in the front yard with Hayley, Elijah and Klaus. Jordanna held Sebastian in her arms, glancing down at him every few seconds as he gripped Elijah's tie in his small hands as the Mikaelson stood beside the Jones and Hayley who watched as Klaus lit a match, throwing it into the bonfire.
Rebekah rushed out, a large smile on her face. "Hey! Look what I found!" The blonde grinned excitedly, mirroring a happy infant as she held the polaroid camera in her grip. "I wonder if it'll work."
Klaus turned away with a scowl on his face, he placed his hands on his hips and muttered under his breath. "Oh, bloody hell," he spoke earning a snort from Jordanna.
The Jones turned to Rebekah with a grimace. "Bex, I look like shit," she groaned, pointing to the day-old makeup that sat on her face.
"Oh, you look fine," Rebekah brushed it off, "She looks fine, doesn't she Hayley?" Rebekah asked cheekily as she turned to the Marshall.
"You look hot, Jordanna. You always look hot," Hayley stated before she turned to Rebekah, matching her smile. "Let's do it."
"That's the spirit!" Rebekah grinned, gesturing to Hayley. "Come on, let's try it! Hey, Nik, do you think you can cram us all into a selfie?"
"Oh, Niklaus is virtuoso at cramming his siblings into confined spaces," Elijah voiced teasingly, causing Jordanna to chuckle at his wordsโKlaus merely rolled his eyes.
The hybrid took the camera from his sister's hand as he spoke up. "Well, I'm glad I travelled hundreds of miles to visit my mentally ill brother, only to have him insult me to my face," he commented in a sarcastic tone.
"Oh, come on," Rebekah whined, fixating her brother a look, "Just take the picture!" She demanded.
Klaus clicked his tongue and met Jordanna's eye who sent him a small shrug before he held the camera up, everyone looked at the camera with a smileโexcept Klaus, of course.
As Klaus clicked the button, the photo slowly started to develop, Jordanna rested her chin on his shoulder as she looked down at the picture. "You couldn't even fake a smile?" She asked in amusement as she took in the scowl on Klaus' face.
Rebekah sent a grin her way as she, too, stared down at the photo. "Aw, see? I wish that it could always be like this," Rebekah mumbled.
"If wishes were horses," Elijah trailed off.
"Beggars would ride," Klaus finished off with a sigh, as they continued to stare down at the picture. They looked like a truly, normal family. It was weird, but yet, nice, "You do realise we have to burn it. You want me to make a wish for the family. Rebekah? I wish that it didn't have to be like this. But, it does," he handed the photo off to Jordanna, sending her a saddened look.
"We can't risk it falling into the wrong hands," he said, causing Jordanna to look down at the photo one last time before her gaze travelled along to the child in her arms, the child that stared up at her as he wrapped a dark strand of her hair around his fingers, his bright, blue eyes meeting hers.
Silently she threw the picture in the bonfireโKlaus sighed tiredly, placing his hand on her back as his thumb grazed her skin soothingly.
"No!" Rebekah shook her head ferociously. "This isn't right. We deserve this. We've earned this." Her gaze turned to Elijah, the older Mikaelson brother looked seemingly disheartened. "I won't let it slip away. I know what to do to stop Esther."
Elijah tensed at her words, "Rebekah, no . . . "
"I'm going to take her deal," Rebekah stated, cutting her brother off. "And, when I do, I'm taking her down with me."
ใปโฅใป
It was a little while later, just before Klaus and Rebekah were ready to leave and Jordanna had vacated to the bedroom after she had caught Rebekah and had a small chat with her.
She couldn't be more grateful for Rebekah than she already was, Rebekah had been Sebastian's mother for months nowโand she simply had to give him back to Jordanna, the Jones knew that it'd hurt her, because it was as though she had everything she needed right in her palm, and it was slowly slipping through her fingers.
Jordanna sat on the bed with Seb, watching as he rolled around on his back just when Klaus entered the room. "You leaving?" Jordanna asked as he strode toward her, the hybrid nodded in answer, hand reaching to the back of her head as he pulled her to him, pressing a brisk kiss to her forehead.
He sent a smile to Sebastian before his eyes flitted back to Jordanna. "We shouldn't be too long. If everything goes to plan, that is," he sighed.
"If she tries anything, remember what I told you," she said, looking up at him with a small smile as she sat, legs criss-crossed on the bed beside the infant.
"Try not to . . . kill him while I'm gone," Klaus grimaced, shooting a look down at Sebastian as he picked him up from the bed, "After all, he is the only reason I stayed with you."
"Funny," she deadpanned, watching the smirk on Klaus' lips form into a smile as he pressed a quick kiss to Sebastian's head before he handed him off to Jordanna.
"I have to go," he uttered, sighing deeply, turning to make his way out the door, "I love you."
"Love you too," she paused, "Don't die."
"I'll try," he suppressed a smile before he slipped out of the room.
"Guess it's just you and me kid," Jordanna sighed, pushing her body back so that her back was rested against the headboard of the bedโSeb sat comfortably in her lap as he played with the packet of chocolate buttons in his hand.
Hayley had gone off to speak to Elijah, Klaus' words ringing through her headโshe was finally going to tell him of the whole situation she was in with Jackson.
So, Jordanna sat in the company of her child. She talked to him about her mother, her 'adventures' (her murder-spree's that she turned 'child friendly'), her shoes, of course, and Caroline, Stefan and Bonnie.
She told him of his 'control freak aunt Caroline,' the one who would fuss over him to the end of time and shower him with gifts, his 'bunny killing uncle Stefan' and his 'usually dead aunt Bonnie.'
And as she spoke about each of them her mind would drift, with how much she had wanted to talk to them. To call them, even. And with a very large internal battle with herself she finally made her mind up.
"Maybe we should give them a call?" She whispered down to the child in her arms.
If anything, she could always erase their memory with her magic, she'd been practising moreโwith the new magic, and she was getting the hang of it. Klaus even let her try it on him, she thought it'd be funny to tell him she was the one to marry Jackson instead of Hayley, she even fabricated an entire story, just so he'd believe it.
And he went mad. It was quite funny if she was to be honest, and then all she had to do was drag her finger down the centre of his forehead andโbam! Memory gone.
Jordanna grabbed her phone from the bedside table and dialled Caroline's number first, she kept Seb out of view from the camera, it was supposed to be a surprise, duh!
"Well, well," Jordanna teased as Caroline answered, but not only Caroline. The blonde was sat in the Salvatore's bed with Bonnie and Stefan either side of her. "What have I missed?"
"Oh, shutโ"
"Really Stef? You're having a threesome with my girls and you didn't invite me? That hurts me," Jordanna mocked, smiling slyly as she looked over all her best friends.
Stefan sighed, rubbing his forehead. "I didn't invite them here. They just showed up, and they won't leave me alone," he directed his last words to the two women in his bed, pestering him.
"O-kayyy," she nodded, unconvinced, "If you say so."
"I swear-"
"Look, I gotta' show you something." She started. "Who's better looking, me or," she moved the camera, showing the child, "him. Cause I'm thinking me. Like, you see that chocolate all around his mouth, right?" She gestured to the melted chocolate that rounded his cheeks. "It's honestly not a look."
The three on the other end of the phone sat in shock, merely staring at the screen in silence as Jordanna jumped up from the bed and grabbed a tissue before she sat back down, wiping Sebastian's face as they stilled.
Caroline blinked, "Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my fricking God!"
"Is that . . . yours? You didn't steal that baby, did you?"
"I'm so very confused right now."
"Yes, he's mine you dumb-fuck," Jordanna rolled her eyes. "I'd like you to meet your honorary nephew, who is very much alive."
"Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my G-"
"Caroline, say that again and I'll tear out your vocal cords," Jordanna muttered, watching as a large smile crossed the blonde's faceโas grins painted across Bonnie and Stefan's too.
"What's he called? Did you name him Caroline or Charles or Carlisle? Oh, please don't tell me he's called Stefanโ"
"What's wrong with my name?-"
"What's right with it, is the question you should be askingโ"
"Can you both shut up, I wanna' know what my nephew is called," Bonnie butted in.
"Your nephew?"
Jordanna paused. "His name is . . . Sebastian fucking Mikaelson." Jordanna announced.
"Like Sebastian Stan?" Bonnie's brows visibly furrowed. "Tell me you didn't name your baby after Sebastian Stan."
ย ย "Uh, wasn't your favourite bartender called Sebastian? You didn't name him after him, did you?"
"Oh my God! Hi, Sebby!" Caroline screeched in an unbelievably high tone.
"That's not his name," Jordanna muttered.
"I'm your aunt Caroline and I'm going to spoil the hell out of youโHey? Does he have a middle name yet 'cause I'm thinkingโ"
ใปโฅใป
After Jordanna had put Sebastian to bed she looked down at her phone as it beeped.
NIKOLICIOUS
she's in transition
Jordanna's lips curved upwards as she sat at the desk in the bedroomโcandles laid out around the room as she held her thumbs and middle fingers together, hands rested on her knees as she shut her eyes.
The words 'you lose, bitch', were written in salt on the desk in-front of her. Her eyes clamped shut tighter, mind drifting to the original witch.
Esther's head rolled against the brick wall from her place on the floor in Lafayette Cemetery, it was her worst nightmare, being one of them.
Dried tears ran down her face as she watched Klaus' retreating figure leave the tomb, when suddenly she felt a burning sensation on her arm, causing her to cry out in pain.
Looking down she found the jagged, words burnt deeply into her skin.
You lose bitch.
