JORDANNA'S FEET LAID in Klaus' lap as he read, a magazine rested on her growing bump as she, too, sat reading, well โ more like flickered through the pages, looking boredly for more shoes to buy. Elijah sat opposite the couple, reading through one of his mother's grimoires he had promised Davina.
"So, this is what you do once we're back together as a family? Vampire book club?" Rebekah questioned as she entered the living room, her eyes watching over the trio.
"Can't be a vampire book club if I'm not a walking, talking mosquito, Bex," Jordanna grumbled, eyes on her magazine.
"Reading edifies the mind, sister," Klaus glanced up at her before looking back down at his book. "Isn't that right, Elijah?"
"Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus," Elijah nodded, not taking his eyes off of the grimoire.
"And what's this business?" Rebekah gestured to the dead girl laying on the coffee table between the three. Blood travelled down from the puncture wounds from her neck and onto the floor.
"This is a . . . " Elijah paused, looking for the right wording. "Peace offering."
Klaus sighed, "I presumed, after so much time desiccating in a coffin, that my big brother might be a bit peckish."
"And I explained to my little brother that forgiveness cannot be bought," Elijah added in annoyance.
Jordanna snorted. "Everyone can be bought, Elijah. It just depends on what. I prefer to be bought with shoes. Lots and lots of shoes," Jordanna said playfully, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Yes well, I'd simply prefer to see a change in behaviour that indicates contrition and personal growth." Klaus rolled his eyes as Elijah gestured towards the dead girl on the floor. "Not this nonsense."
"Well, I couldn't very well let her go to waste, could I?" Klaus grinned.
"Well, I suppose I'll go fetch the rubbish bin, because she's staining a two hundred year old carpet," Rebekah voiced in annoyance.
Elijah lazily looked over to the girl bleeding out onto the floor, "ah, yes."
Jordanna snorted at the unbothered comment the original had made just as Hayley walked through the room and into the kitchen. Elijah's eyes followed her as she did. Jordanna placed her magazine on the coffee table as Elijah set the grimoire down and began making his way over to the kitchen.
"Hey!" She called out to him, gesturing for him to come to her. "Help me up."
Elijah let out a soft chuckle as Klaus' eyes narrowed as he watched his brother take the witch's hands in his own and pulled her up from the couch.
"Thanks," she breathed out as she and Elijah made their way into the kitchen.
"Your child is getting bigger quite quickly," Elijah smiled fondly, looking down at the bump. Jordanna nodded, her lips pulled into a smile as she, too, looked down at it.
"The little shits getting heavy," Jordanna rolled her eyes playfully as she and Elijah entered the kitchen.
"Good morning," Elijah leaned against the doorway, looking over at Hayley who was rooting around in the fridge.
"Hey," Hayley peered around the fridge to look at him with a smile.
Jordanna raised her eyebrows, waving her hand around to gesture towards herself, "I'm here too, Hales."
"I know, J," Hayley grumbled, popping her head back around the fridge. "Morning."
"Feels nice to be appreciated," Jordanna muttered under her breath with an eyeroll, a sarcastic tone laced her tongue.
Rebekah entered the kitchen through the backdoor, a rubbish bin dragging along behind her as she sent her brother and the Marshall a look. Turning to Jordanna, they shared a knowing glance.
"Listen, I know JJ and I are the only ones in this house that actually drink milk, but would it kill any of you to make sure it's on the grocery list?"
"Speaking of, add bleach," Rebekah voiced in irritation, striding though the kitchen and back into the living room.
Elijah moved from his spot in the doorway and began digging through some cupboards, he grabbed a few things whilst Hayley pulled an ice cream tub out of the freezer.
Jordanna snatched the ice cream from the werewolf's hand and pulled a draw open, grabbing a spoon she pushed herself up onto the counter side with a huff.
"You know, I do hope my siblings were hospitable to you in my absence," Elijah moved towards her.
"In your absence, as you like to call it โ which is a way too polite way of saying that your brother put a dagger in your heart," she smiled lightly as Elijah neared her with a bowl, a spoon and a box of cereal in hand before he placed them down onto the counter. "I have been attacked by French Quarter vampires, I've had to live in a house with a secret dungeon full of coffins, and I was nearly murdered by witches who are convinced Jordanna's baby is Lucifer."
Jordanna nodded, shoving another spoonful of ice cream into her mouth. "These are by far, the most annoying witches I've ever met, like, worse than my father. Also, my baby isn't gonna be Lucifer, he'll be better."
"He'll?" Elijah rose his eyebrows.
Jordanna nodded with a grin, "I'm convinced it's a boy."
"I still think it's a girl," Hayley voiced.
"Good thing no one asked what you think," Jordanna spoke sarcastically, shooting Hayley a wide smile.
Elijah smiled as he pulled orange juice and milk carton out of the fridge and began pouring Hayley a bowl of cereal.
Hayley looked down in embarrassment as Jordanna snorted. "Oh . . . milk and they've been fine. Your siblings are weirdly protective, I know I have you to thank for that."
"I'm just happy to see that you're in one piece, both of you," Elijah smiled in the witch's direction as she sat and ate her ice cream. "So, back to the murderous witches. I have some concerns."
"Don't we all," Jordanna mumbled under her breath.
Hayley nodded, the feeling of worry suddenly washing over her, as she glanced over at Jordanna, "they're evil. And your life is still magically linked to Sophie Deveraux, which is not comforting."
"Yes, I think it's time we took care of that little problem," Elijah added, sending Jordanna a look.
"I am all for it," Rebekah re-entered the kitchen, dragging the dead corpse with her. "As soon as they're unlinked, we get to leave this crap town. Who do we have to kill?"
"Probably no one."
"Don't lie," Jordanna tutted teasingly, shaking her head at him. "This is gonna be a murder spree and you know it."
Jordanna and Hayley raised their eyebrows and gave Elijah a look causing him to sigh, "alright. Potentially everyone."
ใปโฅใป
Jordanna huffed as she threw her body back down onto the couch besides Klaus as Rebekah continued to scrub at the bloodstains on the carpet.
"Poetry about poisoned apples from dead trees," Rebekah mocked, looking over at her brother who was still sat reading a poison tree. "Looks like someone's worried about impending daddy-hood."
Jordanna rolled her eyes and nudged Klaus with her foot, sending him a small comforting smile which he returned before looking back over at his sister, "nonsense. Elijah's back. In his presence, all problems turn to pixie-dust and float away."
Rebekah sided eyed her brother before a grin broke free from her lips, Klaus grinned back just as Elijah joined them in the living room.
"Strange, I don't recall any pixie-dust from the darkness of the coffin I recently forced to endure," Elijah retorted.
"What're you doing with mother's spell book?" Rebekah questioned as she watched her brother flick through the pages of Esther's grimoire.
"Well, in exchange for my freedom, I promised Davina that I would share a few pages from Mother's grimoire to help her learn more control as well as Jordanna's grimoire," Elijah informed them. "I thought that we'd begin with a little unlinking spell."
"Elijah Mikaelson you smart, smart man," Jordanna grinned, resting her feet on Klaus' thighs as he dragged his hand up her leg.
Rebekah and Klaus shared a confused look. "Wait, you want to use her to unlink Jords from Sophie Deveraux?" Rebekah asked with wide eyes.
"Sophie brought us here under false pretences! She doesn't just want us to take down Marcel and his minions, she wants to take Davina back. So, she yolked her own cause to ours, with magic threats and half-truths!" Elijah shook his head, pulling the unlinking spell page from the book. "Well, no more. As of now, our deal with Sophie Deveraux is null and void."
Klaus and Rebekah grinned as Jordanna sighed in relief, thank fuck for Elijah's smart brain โ she couldn't deal with being linked to Sophie any longer than she had to.
"Niklaus, I need you to come with me. I need five minutes alone with Davina, you need to make certain that I am not interrupted," Elijah turned and pointed at his sister. "You stay here and watch over Jordanna and Hayley."
"How did I get elected super nanny?" Rebekah complained.
"You say that like you don't enjoy my company, Bex," Jordanna rolled her eyes playfully, looking over at the blonde.
"More importantly, who put him in charge?" Klaus mumbled, rising to follow after Elijah, pressing a quick kiss to Jordanna's lips in passing.
ใปโฅใป
"Ah, what the fuck?" Jordanna yelped out in pain, hand instantly going to her neck.
Pulling away from her neck, she looked down at her hand, grimacing at the blood on her fingers.
"What the Hell was that?" Rebekah asked in worry as she rushed into the room, Hayley trailing after her.
"Are you okay?" Hayley moved the witch's hair to look at her neck. "What happened?"
"Fuck knows," Jordanna murmured. "It felt like I was being stabbed, and trust me I know what that fuckin' feels like."
The three girls glanced at each other, realization dawning on them causing Jordanna to groan out irritably.
"Oh, for fuck's sake."
ใปโฅใป
Jordanna sat in an armchair in the corner of her room with a scowl on her face as she filed her nails. She was not in a good mood โ all she could think about was whatever the fuck had happened earlier.
"Time for demon spawn to snack," Rebekah declared, as she and Hayley made their way into the room with a basket of red apples in hand.
Jordanna rolled her eyes, merely glancing up from her nails for a moment before she continued to file them, "let's not call it that, shall we?"
Hayley snorted, "better than shithead or little shit."
"Yeah, well, I'm the mom so I'm allowed," Jordanna retorted.
Rebekah shook her head, holding out the basket of apples, "take one, the plantation's lousy with them."
"Thanks," Jordanna placed her nail file down besides her before grabbing an apple.
"How do you feel?" Hayley asked, looking down at the witch in concern. Not once in her life had she seen the witch look so pale and almost lifeless. Her hair was dull and flat . . . which was extremely worrying considering that Jordanna's first priority in a morning was her hair . . . or her shoes. Hayley's concern also peaked at the fact the witch wasn't wearing her shoes, no stilettoes, not even heeled boots โ she just sat there, crossed legs with long stripy socks on.
"Fucking great," Jordanna grumbled with a shrug of her shoulders, uncrossing legs up as she rested her feet on the couch, pressing her chin to her knee with a huff. "It's probably, Sophie. I wouldn't be surprised if someone stabbed her, if we weren't linked she'd already be six feet under."
"Then do me a favour and don't die on my watch," Rebekah smiled lightly, looking down at the witch who scowled up at her. "I'll never hear the end of it."
Charming.
Hayley grinned as she looked up to Rebekah, "you know, when I first met you, I thought you were a real bitch."
Jordanna snickered as Rebekah grinned down at the werewolf, "what changed your mind?"
"Oh, I still think you're a bitch. I've just grown to like that about you."
"Aw, well that's sweet of you to say," Rebekah's face fell, immediately becoming more serious. "Remember it when I'm gone."
"You're leaving?" Jordanna's smile fell as her face dropped.
"Where are you going?"
"I only came to town to make sure everything was okay with Elijah," Rebekah reminded. "He's fine, and he hasn't punished Klaus for daggering him, so as usual they'll be thick as thieves and I'll be left to clean up the mess. It's time for me to fly the coop."
"Oh, right," Jordanna breathed out, moving to grab her nail file before a wave of dizziness fell over her.
"What's wrong?" Rebekah frowned, sharing a look of concern with Hayley as their eyes scanned over Jordanna.
"Probably morning sickness," Jordanna shook her head. "I don't know."
Rebekah placed her hand on the witch's forehead, "oh, you're burning up, actually."
ใปโฅใป
Jordanna groaned as she laid in her bed, Rebekah holding a damp washcloth to her head as Hayley scurried back into the room with a cold bottle of water in her hands.
The witch hastily took the bottle from the werewolf and took a large gulp of the liquid, she groaned after as it did absolutely nothing to make her feel better.
"Stop fussing will you? Elijah will be here any minute," Rebekah commented.
Jordanna weakly rolled her eyes. "When you know what this feels like, then you can tell me to stop fussing. Until then shut your fucking mouth."
"Hey! Just because you're carrying a baby doesn't mean you get to act like one!" Rebekah retorted with a pointed look.
"I feel like I'm dying," Jordanna deadpanned, shooting the blonde an annoyed glance. "I swear to God, my insides are, like, on fire right now."
"And I'm sure my little niece or nephew is healing you up as we speak."
"They better fucking be," Jordanna grumbled, shutting her eyes as she placed a hand on her head.
Just as the words left her mouth Elijah ran into the room, Sophie trailing after him. Rebekah's smile fell before her eyes narrowed as she glared at the Deveraux witch. Hayley rose to her feet, narrowing her eyes at the woman.
"What the Hell is she doing here?" Rebekah demanded in question.
"I'm trying to help," Sophie sighed, looking over at Jordanna.
"Great," Jordanna grumbled sarcastically. "My fucking day just gets better and better, doesn't it?"
"Help?" Hayley scoffed.
"You're the reason we're in this bloody mess!" Rebekah pointed at Sophie in annoyance before turning to Elijah. "Why aren't we unlinked with this witch already, Elijah?"
"Rebekah, let her do what she can."
"I may know a way to slow the fever down. But, I'm gonna need some special herbs," Sophie turned to Rebekah. "I'll text you a list."
Elijah nodded at his sister, though the blonde original did not look too happy about being bossed around, again.
"Fine. Happy to play the fetch girl," Rebekah smiled bitterly at them, she made her way to the door before she stopped besides the Deveraux witch, the blonde grabbed a-hold of her arm tightly, earning a grumble of complaints from Jordanna as she felt the grip on her own skin. "If she or the baby dies, you will not live to see tomorrow."
"I'm totally gonna' die tonight," Jordanna panted out with a struggled breath, before she cried out. "And looking like this!"
ใปโฅใป
Jordanna's head lolled aside as she sat by the pool, a towel wrapped around her shoulders. Her chest rose up and down erratically as she stared deep into the garden. She couldn't concentrate. Sweat dripped down her forehead as her mind involuntarily went to the worst outcome โ she couldn't lose this baby.
She jumped slightly as Rebekah came up behind her, checking the witch's temperature as Hayley rubbed her arm soothingly .
Elijah stood, helping Sophie sort the herbs before he shrugged his jacket off, rolling up the sleeves of his button up.
"She's burning up!" Elijah called out, frantic yet calm. "We need to do this now."
"Get her in the water!" Sophie shouted, grabbing the bowl of herbs.
Elijah jumped in the cool water of the swimming pool and took the witch in his arms as he helped her into the pool.
"How cosy," Jordanna mumbled groggily, looking up at Elijah with a faint smile, who smiled back down at her lightly, though his smile fell into a frown as her face scrunched up in pain.
"I don't see how a midnight swim is supposed to help," Rebekah called out in frustration as Sophie jumped into the pool, a cup in hand.
"Could be a bit more positive, Bex," Jordanna muttered under her breath, closing her eyes as another wave of pain hit her.
"Her temperature is sky high, the water with help of the herbs, should cool us down," Sophie handed Jordanna the cup of herbs. "Drink this!"
Jordanna downed the drink with a gag, gross.
"You're gonna' have to get her heartrate down," Sophie turned to Elijah.
"How do I do that?" Elijah's expression fell into one of confusion as he looked between both witches.
"Hold her. It's a natural human remedy to slow the heart rate and reduce blood pressure." The Deveraux explained in a hurry, anxiety practically seeping out of her.
Not even a second later the original had lifted Jordanna into his arms, holding her bridal style to his chest. His head snapped down to her as she chuckled quietly against his body, an amused glint in her eyes.
"You know, shit like this usually makes my heart rate go up, not down."
Elijah shook his head at her, fighting off a smile.
Not the time, Jordanna.
"This is never gonna work," Rebekah watched worriedly, wrapping her arms around herself in comfort.
"Davina will break the link, we just need more time," Elijah assured his sister, in hopes of relaxing her.
Jordanna gasped for breath, her knuckles going white with how tightly she was grabbing onto the collar of Elijah's shirt. The witch threw her head back as she began hyperventilating.
"I can't fucking breathe!"
Jordanna blocked out the sound of splashing around her as she thrashed about in Elijah's arms, failing to notice how the werewolf jumped into the pool.
Her entire body felt like it was on fire, her eyes snapped open as a hand stroked through her hair, moving her head she looked up at a concerned Hayley who looked down at her with a strained smile on her face.
"Long deep breaths, Jords," Hayley whispered lightly. "You'll be okay, you're always okay. You'll get through this."
The clock on the table chimed as it hit nine, a loud scream broke from Jordanna's lips. The pain all rushed at her at once as she began thrashing in the pairs' hold.
Her head threw back into the water as she groaned out, tensing against their arms.
If this is what it feels like being burnt alive, she never, ever wanted to experience it.
Sophie gasped as she began to feel the linking spell lift, though Jordanna continued to groan in pain, her hand grasping tightly onto Hayley's arm. Suddenly, she collapsed against the two, sighing in relief, lifting her hand to push her hair back.
"I just felt it lift," Sophie looked up at the sky in slight disappointment.
Rebekah relaxed, watching Jordanna with a smile as Hayley and Elijah shared a look as the witch stood up, taking a deep breath as she leant against Hayley.
The Deveraux removed one of her earrings and brought it down to her hand, stabbing her palm with it. Elijah reached out and grabbed Jordanna's hand in his own, flipping it over to find out that that she was not injured.
Elijah and Hayley shared a look, gazing at each other for a moment before Elijah broke it, leading the two out of the pool, unaware of Rebekah's curious eyes on him.
"Come on, let's go," Elijah spoke gently, his hand rested on both of the women's backs.
He probably looked like such a fuck boy, she wanted to snort โ though she was not in a good enough mood to do so.
"Elijah," Sophie spoke in stress, looking over at the original. "As soon as your brother finds out that the link is broken, he'll kill Agnes. I know you don't owe me anything, but please, don't let him kill her."
Elijah merely looked back at her before speeding out of the pool, pulling his phone from his suit jacket.
"Elijah! She's our only access to the power we need to survive. Promise me that you'll stop him."
Who the fuck cares?
Elijah ignored her and dialled a number into his phone before pressing it up to his ear. "It's me, where are you?" A pause. "Don't hurt her. I'll be there shortly." He hung up and turned to Sophie, meeting Jordanna's eye for barely a second causing her to squint her eyes in confusion. "I'll make you one last promise. I won't let my brother kill Agnes."
Sophie nodded at him gratefully, Elijah picked up his suit jacket and shoes, sending the Jones another look before he began walking back inside.
Sophie turned to get out of the pool before a fist collided with her cheek, sending her face down into the pool with a splash.
Hayley gasped in shock as Rebekah shook her head in amusement, watching as Jordanna clenched her jaw โ the witch's hand tightly gripped onto the hair on Sophie's scalp, pushing her head deeper underwater.
Roughly pulling her back up Jordanna moved the witch's face closer to her own, merely smiling at the panic on the Deveraux's face before she shoved her head back underwater.
Jordanna sighed as Sophie struggled under her grasp, the witch pulled her back up. "I know you were just using me to save your people, try that shit again, and I'll kill you, got it?"
The witch harshly shoved the Deveraux's arm in release and exited the pool, Hayley following after, head down as she passed Sophie with a smirk.
The witch sped up as she caught the sight of Elijah walking back up to the house. She caught up with him and grabbed his arm, "I'm coming with."
"Jordanna-"
"Don't Jordanna me," she rolled her eyes. "I'm coming. End of."
Elijah opened his mouth to speak but soon stopped short as she brushed past him, she reached out and pulled the backdoor open, leaving the Mikaelson stood as he merely listened to it slam behind her.
ใปโฅใป
"You're a piece of work, Agnes," Klaus commented, looking into the elder witch's fearful eyes. "But guess what? I'm quite a piece of work myself." He smirked.
"You know, I contemplated leaving bits of you artfully arranged outside your family's tomb? I thought it would leave a fitting message." He sped in front of Agnes and pulled her into the aisle, glaring at her as he spoke. "Don't. Touch. My. Family."
In other words, don't touch Jordanna or the baby.
Elijah entered the church, approaching them calmly, "leave her."
In one quick movement, Klaus pulled Agnes into a headlock and stood back as he watched Elijah walk down towards them.
"I gave my word," Elijah spoke, almost boredly.
Father Kieran rose to his feet to greet the eldest Mikaelson but paused as Klaus' angered voice echoed through the church walls.
"You tend to give your word at the most inopportune times, brother. We've been doing things your way all day," Klaus smirked as he attempted to persuade his brother. "Come on! Just one little snap and it's toodle-loo Agnes. She deserves it!"
"Niklaus, don't make another move," Elijah warned. "You have asked for my forgiveness. I will grant you that forgiveness, but do not make me break my word."
Klaus glared at his brother, letting Agnes go he opened his arms wide as he backed away slowly, "my noble brother, how was that for personal growth, eh? Still, it is just like you to spoil all of my fun."
Elijah met Agnes' eyes as he stepped aside, "oh, not necessarily."
Klaus narrowed his eyes at his brother before they snapped to the church doors, his eyes widened as they suddenly flung open. Jordanna sauntered down the aisle, looking extremely pissed off, her arms wide as she chanted.
Wind picked up in the church, shaking the lights, causing paper to fly around the room violently. With one thrust of her hands the glass shattered on every single window that decorated the walls.
The wind got stronger and stronger as she neared Agnes. With a turn of her head, she snapped one of the men's necks that had also been arrested with Agnes. Turning in the opposite direction, she huffed as one of them came running at her, her eyes diverted from him as they fell on a glass shard that had fallen from the windows and watched as it embedded it's self into his neck, she kicked his body from her path as she continued her way down the aisle.
With one more thrust of both hands the hearts of the two remaining men landed in her palms.
She looked up at the three men and Agnes blankly as she dropped them to the ground, a loud thud following after it.
"You took your time," Elijah hummed from the side-lines, lazily glancing over at the dead bodies before he met her eye.
She merely shrugged, "what can I say? I like to make an entrance."
Agnes gulped as Jordanna's heels clicked against the ground as she grew closer and closer by the second.
"Hey, witch-bitch," Jordanna hummed eerily.
Her bloody hand reached up to Agnes' face as she smeared blood along her cheek, her hand ran down from her cheek to her jaw and finally to her neck.
In a flash her hand wrapped around her neck tightly, "you see, Elijah swore that you wouldn't die by Klaus' hands . . . but he never said anything about me."
She smiled as she ran her free hand across the witch's cheek, "see you in Hell, you old hag."
She removed her hand from her cheek, holding it out as another glass shard flew into her palm, in one movement she drove it into the elderly witch's neck, releasing her neck she merely blinked as the body dropped to the floor.
A large smirk laced Klaus' lips as he looked over at her in admiration, almost failing to notice how the eldest Mikaelson shook his head at the witch's dramatics and began making his way out of the church โ with one last smile Klaus began walking down the aisle after his brother.
Jordanna turned to leave, her hair bounced as she sauntered down the church aisle, spinning on her feet she paused, looking over at the wide eyed priest.
"I'll pay for that," the witch smiled lightly, gesturing to the windows, before calling out to Father Kieran with a grin. "I'm Jordanna, by the way, lovely to meet you Father."
Klaus grinned as the witch caught up to him, going to brush past him she stopped as his hand laced in hers, her body spun and his lips collided with hers. His fingers threaded through the locks of her hair as his hand landed on her waist.
Klaus pulled away, his hand going to the side of her face, his thumb stroking across her cheek.
"I love you," Klaus whispered looking down at her. The thought of losing her today had scared him so much, his heart had felt as if it had sunken. The uneasy feeling had been with him all day as he ran around New Orleans trying to sort it out . . . in his own way.
As he looked down at her, he pulled her into his arms, he never wanted to let go, afraid of what might happen.
Jordanna sighed as she felt the slight tremble to his shoulders as he brought her into his arms, she rested her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around his torso.
ใปโฅใป
"Seriously?" A shrill voice screamed through the phone causing Jordanna to cringe as she pulled the cupboard door open. "Again? Can't you go a day without someone trying to kill you or baby J?"
"Apparently not," Jordanna mumbled. The witch had been on the phone to Caroline since she and the Mikaelson brothers had returned from church.
"How is my little niece or nephew doing, by the way? Are they okay?"
Jordanna rolled her eyes, "I don't know Care, why don't you ask?"
The witch placed her phone onto her bump, rolling her eyes as she brought it back up to her ear.
"You're not funny," Caroline mumbled.
"I like to think that I am," Jordanna teased, pulling open a bag of crisps. "The baby definitely thinks I'm funny, whenever I make a joke they always kick me, hurts like a bitch but it's cute."
"Oh my god," Caroline cooed. "I never thought I'd heard the day Jordanna Jones called a baby cute."
"I'm only saying that because it's still living in me," she rolled her eyes, throwing a crisp into her mouth. "I doubt I'll be saying that when it's talking, walking and eating."
"You will, I can feel it," Caroline grinned before she sighed. "I gotta' go, my roommate's big on the whole, 'no calls past a certain time' thing."
Jordanna sighed. "Alright, Care. Love you."
"Love you, bye."
Jordanna put her phone on the kitchen counter as she made her way down the hallway just as the doorbell rang.
The witch huffed, glancing up at Hayley as the werewolf made her way downstairs, sharing a confused look with the witch as Jordanna swung the door open.
The witch raised her eyebrows as Josh stood at the other side in a panic, her arms crossed over her chest as her hip rested against the door frame. "What can I do for you, Josh?"
"Where is he?" Josh rushed out in panic, looking between Jordanna and Hayley as the Marshall strode up besides her. "I've been trying to find him all day. Marcel knows that Klaus lied to him about where he lives."
Shit.
Jordanna sighed, looking over at him boredly, "he's out getting me food, Josh. You wanna' wait for him orrrr?"
Josh shook his head, "no! Just . . . tell him to call me, please."
"Okay," she told him before shutting the door as the young vampire walked away.
The witch huffed as she grabbed her crisps she had placed down on a table in the hallway before making her way to the living room, Hayley hot on her trail.
"Klaus is getting you food?"
"That's what I said, yeah. Are you deaf or something?" She frowned, looking over at Hayley weirdly as she threw her body down onto the couch, resting her feet up on the table.
"What about me?" Hayley scoffed, throwing her body down besides Jordanna, snatching her crisp packet from her.
"What about you?" Jordanna snapped, smacking the werewolf upside the head before grabbing her food back.
"Do I not get any food?"
"No, you have your own Mikaelson to bother with food, ask Elijah," Jordanna teased, popping a crisp into her mouth with a smile.
Hayley narrowed her eyes, "I don't know what you're talking about and besides . . . I'm pretty sure he's collecting those shoes he owes you."
"It's nearly fucking midnight," Jordanna's eyebrows pulled together. "Who the fuck goes shopping at this time?"
"Elijah Mikaelson apparently," Hayley joked just as there was a knock on the door. Jordanna groaned, throwing her head back into the couch, Hayley rose from her seat, going to answer the door, Jordanna slowly getting up after her.
"What the Hell, Josh?" Hayley groaned, swinging the door open her eyes widened at the sight of Marcel staring back at her.
"Hi there, I'm Marcel. I don't think we've met."
Jordanna's jaw dropped open, her crisp packet falling to the floor as she stopped in her tracks, behind Hayley, her eyes glued onto Marcel as he grinned.
"Oh, fuck."
ใปโฅใป
Elijah had arrived back home, hands filled with bags full of shoes for the witch, as promised. He frowned as the house overcame an unsettling silence. With quick paces The Original had travelled upstairs in hope of finding the pair.
"Jordanna?" He placed the bags down onto the witch's desk as he called out. "Hayley?"
His frown deepened as he hastily pulled out his phone, calling his sister.
"Goodbye means goodbye, Elijah."
"Are they with you?" Elijah asked immediately, worry evident in his voice.
Rebekah's brows pulled together in confusion, "what the Hell are you talking about?"
"Jordanna and Hayley are gone, where are they?"
"What?" Rebekah's voice rose, her eyes widening.
In a second Klaus flashed into the room, fury in his eyes, "Marcel was here."
Shit, as Jordanna would say if she were there.
But she's not so . . .
Double shit.
