jordanna the people person
ใปโฅใป
ย ย ย ย JORDANNA GRINNED AS the heels of her new stilettos clicked against the hardwood floor as she made her way into the living room just as Klaus vamp sped back to the house โ Sophie Deveraux in his arms before he dropped her down onto the couch carelessly.
ย ย ย ย "We had a deal!" Klaus seethed, prodding his finger in the Deveraux's face. "You protect my unborn child, I dismantle Marcel's army and whilst I've been busy fulfilling my part of the bargain, you allowed Jordanna to be attacked and almost killed by a gaggle of lunatic witches."
ย ย ย ย "I had nothing to do with it, I swear," Sophie responded frantically as she looked from Klaus to Jordanna. "We're linked, remember? You die, I die."
ย ย ย ย Jordanna scoffed as she took a seat on the couch besides Rebekah, "Sophie, baby, you don't give a fuck if you die or not."
ย ย ย ย Rebekah pointed at Jordanna in agreement. "Then who were they?"
ย ย ย ย A small frown lingered on Sophie's face, "they are a faction of extremists. Sabine stupidly told them about some vision they had about the baby."
ย ย ย ย Jordanna frowned, leaning towards Rebekah, lowering her voice as she spoke, "who the fuck is Sabine?"
ย ย ย ย Rebekah leaned in towards her, whispering back, "she's a witch. She's part of that lunatic coven that kidnapped you."
ย ย ย ย Jordanna nodded, "ah, right."
ย ย ย ย Rebekah cleared her throat, looking back towards Sophie. "What kind of vision?"
ย ย ย ย "She has them all the time," Sophie rolled her eyes. "They are totally open to interpretation. I'm guessing she's wrong on this one."
ย ย ย ย Klaus took a seat on the couch besides Jordanna, his arm reached out to the back of her shoulders, "well, how, may I ask, was this particular vision interpreted?"
ย ย ย ย "Pretty much that your baby would bring death to all witches," Sophie deadpanned.
ย ย ย ย Jordanna's eyes widened as her mouth gaped open, "does that include me orr?"
ย ย ย ย Sophie sighed with a shake of her head, "no, Jordanna, it does not."
ย ย ย ย "Oh," she smiled. "That's fine then."
ย ย ย ย "I grow fonder of this child by the second," Klaus admitted with a smirk.
ย ย ย ย "Sophie, look," Rebekah steered the conversation back on topic. "I promised Elijah that I would protect the Mikaelson miracle baby whilst he tries to win your witch Davina's loyalty. Why don't you tell me just how extreme this faction is?"
ย ย ย ย "Elijah's talking to Davina?" Sophie asked in shock.
ย ย ย ย "Yeah. As we speak I imagine," Rebekah spoke dryly.
ย ย ย ย Sophie gulped, suddenly becoming more nervous, "I'm guessing she'll have plenty to say about that crowd."
ย ย ย ย Jordanna cocked her head aside as she and Klaus shared a look at the witch's sudden change of behaviour.
ย ย ย ย "Do tell," Klaus spoke intrigued, a grin present on his face.
ย ย ย ย ย "I wasn't always an advocate for the witches," Sophie revealed, hesitantly meeting Klaus' curious eyes. "My sister was devoted, like our parents, and our upbringing was very strict, which drove me nuts. The minute I turned twenty one, I left the Quarter to travel and . . . play. But, I wanted to be a chef, so I came back to Rousseau's."
ย ย ย ย Jordanna's eyes followed Sophie's movements as she spoke about eight months back . . . the story of the witches and Davina. Though her interest peaked at one small part of it.
ย ย ย ย "Hold on," Jordanna leaned forward, waving a hand causing Sophie to halt. "A Harvest, Harvest? It's actually real?"
ย ย ย ย Sophie frowned. "You know what that is?"
ย ย ย ย "Duh. What witch doesn't?" Jordanna rolled her eyes. "My mom told me stories about them when I was a kid."
ย ย ย ย Rebekah raised her eyebrows, looking between the two. "What the bloody Hell is a Harvest?"
ย ย ย ย "It's a ritual our coven does every three centuries so that the bond to our ancestral magic is restored," Sophie answered, calmly. "We appease our ancestors, they keep our ancestral power flowing."
ย ย ย ย Klaus raised a brow as he leant forward, his arm touching Jordanna's as they both sat, intrigued. "And why haven't I heard of this?"
ย ย ย ย "Everyone just assumes that it's just a story, that it isn't real," Jordanna answered, looking over at him. To be fair, she was shocked, she spent eight years of her life thinking that it wasn't real โ she wasn't surprised it was though, witches would do anything to get more power.
ย ย ย ย Sophie nodded at Jordanna's words in agreement. "Because the Harvest always seemed like a myth. A story, passed on through generations like Noah's Ark, or the Buddha walking on water. The kind some people take literally, and some people don't."
ย ย ย ย Sophie's story reminded Jordanna of why she didn't trust other witches, they were sneaky, they lie a lot, they manipulate to get what they want . . . they don't care who gets hurt in the process.
ย ย ย ย ย Of course, Jordanna was a massive fucking hypocrite because she had literally done that a million times over to many people, but children on the other hand . . . now, that's fucked up.
ย ย ย ย "They had the girls of our community preparing for months. Four would be chosen for the harvest. They said it was an honour, that they were special," Sophie spoke bitterly. "I thought it was a myth."
ย ย ย ย Rebekah's eyebrows furrowed. "Was it?"
ย ย ย ย Sophie opened her mouth but was cut off as Klaus' phone rang. Jordanna's eyes snapped up to his as he rose to his feet.
ย ย ย ย "Oh!" She leaned back on the couch with a sly grin on her face, the hybrid turned to her with raised eyebrows as his finger hovered over the answer button. "Is that your little girlfriend?"
ย ย ย ย Klaus rolled his eyes with a huff as he brought his phone to his ear. "Marcel." He gave Jordanna a pointed look. "Bit early in the day for you, isn't it?"
ย ย ย ย "I know, I make this look easy, but I still have an empire to run."
ย ย ย ย Klaus smiled falsely, though Marcel could not see it. "Rather you than me. All that responsibility seems like such a bore."
ย ย ย ย "Well, this might spice things up โ I just heard about a bunch of dead witches out in the Bayou. The kinda damage a werewolf might do, only there was no full moon," Marcel explained. "I have an informant out there I need to meet, and I would love for you to go with me. Hey! Bring Jordanna if you want."
ย ย ย ย "Jordanna's unfortunately busy, you know, the usual, bothering my sister . . . throwing a fit when something doesn't go her way," Klaus looked down at Jordanna in amusement as she rolled her eyes. He was referring to the night before when she had thrown a lamp and two scotch glasses at him after she caught Cami' oogling at him when they went for lunch at Rousseau's and he told her she could not kill her.
ย ย ย ย "However," Klaus grinned. "Dead witches in the Bayou. Sounds like less a problem and more like a cause for celebration."
ย ย ย ย "Well, something killed them and may still be out there. With your blood being the only cure for a werewolf bite, I would love for you to accompany me."
ย ย ย ย "Oh, why not? Haven't been to the Bayou in ages," Klaus smirked mischievously. "I'm on my way."
ย ย ย ย ย "Peace out, brother."
ย ย ย ย "You can't go out there now," Sophie's eyes widened as Hayley walked into the living room. "I need to gather the witches remains and consecrate them. If I don't get to them before sundown, we'll lose the link to their magic."
ย ย ย ย "So?" Jordanna scoffed, shrugging.
ย ย ย ย ย Klaus stared at the Deveraux, unbothered by her plead. "Those witches tried to kill Jordanna. I'd prefer for Marcel's informant not to find anything that would lead him back to us, to her, or to . . . you know." He gestured down at Jordanna's stomach. "That."
ย ย ย ย "Touching," Jordanna retorted sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
ย ย ย ย Klaus pointed at Sophie. "Stay put. And save the rest of your story 'til I return."
ใปโฅใป
ย ย ย ย "Sophie!" Jordanna exclaimed, causing the Deveraux witch to jump. "Fancy bumping into you! Small world, huh?"
ย ย ย ย "What the Hell are you doing here?" Sophie's eyes flickered between the Jones witch and Hayley as they stood in the mausoleum.
ย ย ย ย "Shopping," Jordanna retorted with an eyeroll. "What does it look like we're fucking doing?"
ย ย ย ย "You're going out there anyway, aren't you? I wanna go with you," Hayley demanded, looking over at the witch.
ย ย ย ย Sophie smiled tightly, shaking her head in answer. "No, thanks. Already got assaulted by Klaus this morning. Don't need a repeat."
ย ย ย ย ย Jordanna rolled her eyes. "Do you want to be assaulted by me next, Soph? Is that what you want? Cause you'reย really pissing me off."
ย ย ย ย "What if whatever is responsible for all those dead witches is still out there?" Hayley spoke condescendingly, looking down at Jordanna as they shared a look. "We've already established that it likes me and hates witches, so you'll be safer with me."
ย ย ย ย Sophie nodded her head in Jordanna's direction. "If it hates witches, why is she coming?"
ย ย ย ย ย Jordanna scoffed, "because everyone likes me, Sophie, I'm a likeable person."
ย ย ย ย "Sorry, if I'm not buying your sudden concern for my safety," Sophie rolled her eyes, moving to leave the cemetery.
ย ย ย ย Jordanna slammed her hand down onto the wall next to Sophie, her palm rested on the concrete wall as she glared over at the witch, "listen, fuckface. The only reason Hales came to this fucking town was to learn more about her family. Your sister's the one that told her Marcel ran the wolves out of the Quarter and into that swamp."
ย ย ย ย "The Bayou," Hayley corrected with an eyeroll, ignoring the small whatever Jordanna murmured. "And last night, I'm pretty sure that some guardian-angel wolf saved our lives. So, we're coming with you."
ย ย ย ย "Could you three be more idiotic?" Rebekah announced as she made her way into the mausoleum.
ย ย ย ย ย Hayley and Sophie sighed as Jordanna spun on her heels with a smirk, widening her arms out theatrically, "idiotic is my middle name, Bex."
ย ย ย ย Rebekah rolled her eyes as Jordanna winked at her. "Clearly. Two can play the follow-game, you know! You heard Klaus, he and Marcel are headed right where you're going."
ย ย ย ย "So distract them, duh," Jordanna rolled her eyes as she pulled out a lip gloss and began applying it onto her lips. "Do you really wanna lock a hormonal, pregnant witch in a tomb?"
ย ย ย ย Hayley nodded, "we're coming with you and wouldn't Elijah be mad if he heard that the baby, Jordanna and I died of asphyxiation?"
ย ย ย ย "Plus the humidity in here is bad for my hair, Bex," Jordanna pouted playfully.
ย ย ย ย Rebekah stared at Jordanna and Hayley in annoyance, her eyes narrowing at the witch as she grinned giddily, pushing past the original she made her way out of the mausoleum. Sophie rolled her eyes with a sigh as she followed after the witch, Rebekah and Hayley trailing behind.

ย ย ย ย Jordanna grimaced as she walked side by side with the blonde original as they made their way down to the Bayou, Klaus on speaker.
ย ย ย ย "What's the matter, Rebekah? You cross that I'm out with your ex?"
ย ย ย ย ย "Oh, she totally is," Jordanna teased, ignoring the glare Rebekah shot her. "You can practically see the steam coming out her ears."
ย ย ย ย Rebekah rolled her eyes as Klaus' chuckle echoed though the phone. "What's all that dreadful hillbilly ruckus in the background?"
ย ย ย ย Klaus smiled in amusement as he glanced to the side. "According to the dreadful signage, it's Big Auggie's Bayou Bar."
ย ย ย ย ย "How classy," Jordanna taunted, clicking her tongue.
ย ย ย ย "Well, order up a few rounds of moonshine and steer clear of the dead witches for a few. The witch is on a burial mission, Hayley is on a spirit quest, Jordanna's being utterly annoying and I'm keeping Elijah's promise to keep them safe. So, stall, please?"
ย ย ย ย Before the hybrid could answer, the blonde Mikaelson hung up, sharing a look with Jordanna as they continued to trudge though the Bayou.

ย ย ย ย "So, enlighten me." Elijah's voice filled the small space of the attic causing Davina to look up towards him. "What did you mean when you said you have to die?"
ย ย ย ย "That's what the Harvest was," Davina began to explain reluctantly, the horrid memories playing on repeat in her head. "They said they'd put us four girls in a state of, like, peaceful limbo as part of the offering and then later, at the Reaping, we'd awaken and be reborn. I never got as far as the limbo part, which means the Harvest isn't complete. That's why the witches are so freaked out. The Reaping is just around the corner, and if they don't finish it before then, it's over. All I have to do is wait it out."
ย ย ย ย "And then what?"
ย ย ย ย Davina looked over at Elijah with a tilted head. "They're punished and I'm free."
ย ย ย ย "From Marcel?" Elijah raised his eyebrows in curiosity.
ย ย ย ย "Of magic," Davina answered hastily. "All our power will drain away. I'll be normal."
ย ย ย ย "Is that what you want? To be normal?" Elijah asked in confusion. Davina was probably the first witch he had ever encountered that did not want to be one anymore. Seeing Jordanna with her magic he couldn't imagine her without it.
ย ย ย ย Jordanna loved her magic. She loved the feeling of it, that euphoric feeling she got when she did a powerful spell, she fucking loved it.
ย ย ย ย "I just don't want to be what I am," Davina answered honestly. "I can't control it sometimes. Magic. I . . . I hurt people. Even when I don't mean to."
ย ย ย ย "I have a friend." Elijah spoke carefully, looking down at the young witch. "She's a witch like yourself and when she loses control she thinks of the good in her life. Friends, family, her loved ones . . . "
ย ย ย ย ย Davina frowned as she listened to the original. Truth be told that was a half lie, Jordanna didn't lose control of her magic anymore. Though he remembered the Jones telling him of how when she was a child and her mother had passed on all that magic to her, she couldn't handle it. So, she thought of her friends, the family that she had left.
ย ย ย ย "Why don't you tell me about your friends? You must miss them." Elijah offered a change of topic.
ย ย ย ย Davina smiled. "There's Tim. He doesn't know about any of this witch stuff. He's normal. My best friend, Monique. She was a part of the Harvest too. She's lucky. No one ever fought for me, but someone fought for her. The only one who ever spoke out against the Harvest was Monique's aunt."
ย ย ย ย "And who is that?"
ย ย ย ย Davina sighed. "Sophie Deveraux."

ย ย ย ย ย "So, this Harvest thing โ tell me more." Rebekah demanded rather rudely, earning a snort from Jordanna.
ย ย ย ย "Klaus said to wait," Sophie dismissed.
ย ย ย ย ย "Don't be annoying," Jordanna rolled her eyes. "You don't care about what Klaus said."
ย ย ย ย "Exactly." Rebekah said in agreement. "He also said to stay out of the Bayou and yet here we are, amongst the crawly, buzzy creatures." Rebekah spoke in complaint, smacking another mosquito away from her face.
ย ย ย ย Jordanna's hand smacked against the blonde's arm causing Rebekah to turn with widened eyes. "What the bloody Hell was that for?" The Mikaelson looked down at her red arm.
ย ย ย ย ย "Skeeter," Jordanna shrugged, holding her hand up to show the blonde the mosquito.
ย ย ย ย ย Rebekah narrowed her eyes just as Hayley called out to the group. "We're here."
ย ย ย ย ย The three followed Hayley's gaze, they stared at the bloodied bodies littering across the ground, ripped to shreds, dismembered heads lying not far from the bodies.
ย ย ย ย ย "Oh! My favourite sight," Jordanna laughed as she walked over to them, Sophie's eyes widened at her comment as she, Rebekah and Hayley followed after her.
ย ย ย ย ย Hayley's hand covered over her nose to block the strong smell of the corpses whilst Sophie paled by the second. The Deveraux kneeled down, digging around in her bag to begin the consecration for the dead witches.
ย ย ย ย ย "Whoa." Hayley murmured in shock as she caught sight of a large paw print in the mud.
ย ย ย ย Jordanna's eyes scanned the Bayou, the three, bloodied claw marks on the bark of a nearby tree caught her eye immediately.
ย ย ย ย ย "Is that a wolf track?" Sophie asked anxiously as she looked down at the paw print Hayley was stood staring at.
ย ย ย ย "No," Jordanna scoffed. "It's bigfoot."
ย ย ย ย Their heads snapped up at the sound of sticks crackling close by, Hayley and Sophie glanced around nervously as Jordanna and Rebekah shared a look, followed along with an annoyed sigh.
ย ย ย ย Great, another problem.
ย ย ย ย "What the hell?" A guy, one of Marcel's vampires approached them, also one of the vampires Marcel had introduced Jordanna to. "An Original? Jordanna?"
ย ย ย ย "Shit." Jordanna cursed as the vampire sped away, leaving the women stood in shock.
ใปโฅใป
ย ย ย ย "Let me understand this โ against all logic, you, Jordanna and Hayley went to the Bayou, where you ran into a man you think may be Marcel's informant, and then you lost him?" Klaus seethed down the phone.
ย ย ย ย ย "Correct," Jordanna nodded. "And we don't think he's Marcel's informant, I know he is. I met him once, he was sweet."
ย ย ย ย Rebekah rolled her eyes. "Yes, and now that we've established that I am a failure as a sister, and a friend, and an original, you should probably know he's on his way to Marcel to rat me and JJ out." A nervous look lingered on her face. "Skinny guy in a hurry, looks like he saw a ghost."
ย ย ย ย "I'll handle it, but I'll need a distraction." Klaus forced a smile.
ย ย ย ย "Thanks, Nikolicious," Jordanna quipped.
ย ย ย ย "Don't call me that, Jordanna." Though the witch could not see him, she could already feel him rolling his eyes.
ย ย ย ย ย "I'm on my way," Rebekah informed, hanging up, swatting a mosquito that landed on Jordanna's arm.
ย ย ย ย ย She held her hand up with a smug smile, showing the witch the mosquito.
ย ย ย ย ย "Blood sucking vultures," Jordanna mumbled.
ย ย ย ย ย "That they are," Rebekah agreed with a nod. "Right, I best be off then."
ย ย ย ย ย Jordanna shook her head. "Ah, ah, ah." Her hand latched onto the blonde's arm just as she was about to speed away. "I'm coming with."
ย ย ย ย ย "Are you mad?" Rebekah frowned.
ย ย ย ย ย "No. But if you don't take me I'll scream and all of Marcel's men will find themselves on a life long journey to kill me." Jordanna spoke slyly with a smirk. Rebekah needn't know that Marcel's men wouldn't kill Jordanna.
ย ย ย ย ย "Jesus Christ." Rebekah snapped. "Fine."
ย ย ย ย ย "Perfect," Jordanna grinned.
ใปโฅใป
ย ย ย ย "Isn't this like old times?" Rebekah questioned with a smile as she and Jordanna neared Marcel and Klaus, the witch standing besides Klaus as he wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her into him.
ย ย ย ย "Where you been, J?" Marcel grinned looking over at the witch who smiled sweetly over at him.
ย ย ย ย "Oh, you know, throwing bitch fits," she smiled bitterly down at Klaus.
ย ย ย ย ย Marcel let out a laugh just as Rebekah spoke up with raised eyebrows. "Just how drunk are you two?"
ย ย ย ย "Skating on the razor's edge. I'm gonna use the loo." Klaus rose to his feet, sending them a grin. "Back in a tick."
ย ย ย ย ย "I'll come with," Jordanna winked over at Marcel and Rebekah suggestively. "You kids have fun."
ย ย ย ย The Jones followed after Klaus as he exited the bar, walking down into the parking area and found Tomas, the vampire from the Bayou.
ย ย ย ย "Tomas, I assume?" The original placed his arm around the vampire's shoulder, leading him away from the bar. "Marcel asked me to find out what you know about the dead witches."
ย ย ย ย Tomas was nervous, it was clear as day, but still began to reveal to Klaus what he found out, "I heard they were going after some pregnant witch and her werewolf friend. Turns out the witch was Marcel's friend, Jordanna. She was stupid, being out there all alone."
ย ย ย ย ย Jordanna chuckled, wrapping her own arm around Tomas' shoulder, she and Klaus surrounded the vampire as his eyes widened at her presence. "Yeah, I was pretty stupid going out there, shame on me."
ย ย ย ย "It's amazing how gullible some people can be," Klaus smiled.
ย ย ย ย ย "Agreed," Jordanna grinned, before twisting her fist and snapping the vampire, Tomas', neck, moving as she watched him fall to the ground.
ย ย ย ย "Well, that was fun, Nik," Jordanna grinned, clasping her hands together in front of her.
ย ย ย ย ย Klaus clenched his jaw. "You are supposed to be at home, Jordanna.ย Never mind having a field day out in the Bayou. You're supposed to be staying safe."
ย ย ย ย ย Jordanna scoffed. "Am I dead? No. I'm fine, Nik. Perfectly fine. Chill."
ย ย ย ย ย "I cannot possibly chill whilst you are out here being irresponsible," Klaus rose his eyebrows.
ย ย ย ย ย Jordanna sighed, placing her hands either side of his face. "I'm fine, okay? If it makes you feel better I'll leave, alright?"
ย ย ย ย ย "Please," Klaus spoke softly, leaning into her touch. "I'd rather you stay at home where I know you are safe."
ย ย ย ย ย Jordanna internally groaned. "Okay, okay. I'm leaving. Ciao."

ย ย ย ย Elijah proudly held up Tim's repaired violin before he handed it to the young witch.
ย ย ย ย "You may return this now to it's rightful owner," Elijah smiled gently. "It's restored."
ย ย ย ย Davina took the violin in her hands and stared down at it sadly, "I don't even know if I'll see him again."
ย ย ย ย Elijah's eyes widened as the room began to shake, the widow shutters violently burst open before it suddenly stopped.
ย ย ย ย "Davina . . . this power that you contain, drawn from your fallen friends, it's too much for you. You need control, which requires study and practice. " He paused for a moment in hesitation. "That friend I was telling you about is a powerful witch, if you would let me get in contact with her I can share her grimoires with you as well as my mother's. She was a very powerful witch, she left behind her grimoires, a legacy of books filled with spells. These books contain all of the tools that you might need to control your magic. If you free me from here, I can share them with you. However if you leave now with Marcel, we'll never see each other again, and I cannot find you, and I can't help you."
ย ย ย ย "The witches manipulated me, you know how that ended," Davina spoke defensively.
ย ย ย ย "This is not manipulation. This is one thing in exchange for another. I'm offering you a deal, let me call my friend as an offering," Elijah slowly reached into his suit pocket and pulled out his phone, holding it to Davina as he dialled Jordanna's number, placing the phone on speaker.
ย ย ย ย "Am I dreaming or is this Elijah fucking Mikaelson," Jordanna spoke teasingly down the phone, sat on the couch in the Mikaelson residence.
ย ย ย ย ย Davina rose her eyebrows at the voice coming through the other end of the phone as Elijah smiled. "Hello, Jordanna, dear. I have a favour to ask,"
ย ย ย ย ย ย "Go on." Her brows furrowed sceptically.
ย ย ย ย "Would you mind if young Davina had a look at your grimoires?"
ย ย ย ย ย "Erm, why?"
ย ย ย ย ย "Jordanna, please," Elijah sighed, looking over at Davina who seemed slightly hopeful.
ย ย ย ย ย Jordanna let out a deep groan, "fine! But you owe me, Lijah! And I'm talking like 50 new pairs of shoes."
ย ย ย ย ย Elijah chuckled softly, noticing the small smile that lingered on Davina's face. "As you wish."
ย ย ย ย ย The witch sighed. "Give me a minute."
ย ย ย ย Down at the Mikaelson's temporary residence, the witch pushed her body off of the couch and walked across the room to the bookshelf, pulling out one of her grimoires and grabbing a map.
ย ย ย ย ย Dropping all that down onto the table, she spread the map open and placed the grimoire besides the map, opening her palm she stared down at it, watching as a cut spread across her skin. She flipped her hand and clenched, watching the blood drip down onto the mapย โย directly onto a blurred building where Davina and Elijah were holed up.
ย ย ย ย Elijah and Davina listened intently to the quiet chanting coming through the other end of the phone.
ย ย ย ย ย A sigh sounded down the phone. "If you would look in that God awful box besides the bed you will find my grimoire, do not break it or so help me God, I will scream."
ย ย ย ย "Uh โ Jordanna," Davina spoke nervously after moving to the box Jordanna directed her to and pulled out her grimoire. "Thank you."
ย ย ย ย Jordanna was silent for a moment, "you're welcome."
ย ย ย ย She internally threw up in her mouth after saying that, ew.

ย ย ย ย Jordanna watched as Rebekah poured three glasses of scotch with raised eyebrows.
ย ย ย ย Is she having a blonde moment or something?
ย ย ย ย "I don't care if we have to get you a leash, that was your last trip to the Bayou. What is it with you and those wolves anyway?"
ย ย ย ย "I feel like we're connected somehow. I don't know," Hayley shrugged, looking between the two women. "Maybe it's just some pipe dream that I have of finding any real family out there. But sometimes, when I feel like it's me against the word, it keeps me going."
ย ย ย ย Rebekah gave Hayley a sympathetic look before passing her a glass of scotch, the brunette took the glass gratefully before taking a sip as the blonde turned to the witch, holding another glass out.
ย ย ย ย Jordanna raised her eyebrows.
ย ย ย ย "Oh, right," Rebekah smiled sheepishly, downing Jordanna's glass, before picking her own up. "Well, if you ask me family is a pain in the behind."
ย ย ย ย ย "Amen."
ย ย ย ย Hayley rolled her eyes.
ย ย ย ย "And as for being in it alone, how dare you? I don't ruin a perfectly fabulous pair of boots traipsing through the Bayou for just anyone."
ย ย ย ย ย "Exactly!" Jordanna gestured to Rebekah. "I nearly ruined my new fucking shoes for you."
ย ย ย ย Hayley smiled as Rebekah downed her scotch before she placed it down just as Klaus walked though the front door, an unknown expression on his face.
ย ย ย ย "Nik, finally. What-" Rebekah's words died off as Elijah walked through the door with a smile.
ย ย ย ย Though before the Mikaelson had a chance to speak Jordanna and Rebekah ran at him, hugging him tightly.
ย ย ย ย "Elijah! You're safe!" Rebekah pulled away in relief.
ย ย ย ย Elijah noticed Hayley over Rebekah's shoulder and they shared a small smile, though the brunette werewolf left the room soon afterwards.
ย ย ย ย "Now that you're home, is your first plan to kill Niklaus?" Rebekah joked, looking over at the hybrid who smiled sarcastically at her in response.
ย ย ย ย "Did you get my shoes?"
ย ย ย ย Elijah smiled softly, "excuse me just a moment."
ย ย ย ย Jordanna watched as he strode through the living room and followed after Hayley.
ย ย ย ย "Well, well, well." Jordanna wiggled her brows at the other two before making her way over to the window.
ย ย ย ย Jordanna peered out the window with a sly smile as she watched Hayley and Elijah converse. Though her smile soon fell into a large grin as Hayley's hand darted across his face.
ย ย ย ย Elijah's hand fell to his cheek as he watched Hayley walk back inside. He turned on his feet, stopping as he saw Jordanna looking at him out of the window with a grin, the Mikaelson smiled over at her before he made his own way back inside.
ใปโฅใป
ย ย ย ย Jordanna sat in Klaus' lap as Rebekah resided in the seat besides them as Elijah stood behind the desk in the study with Hayley leaning on the wall, listening to Elijah explain what he had learnt from Davina earlier that day.
ย ย ย ย "Everything that brought us here to New Orleans was a lie. This story that Sophie Deveraux fabricated, this struggle for control of the French Quarter, this war between vampires and witches, wasn't over territory at all, this was over Davina."
ย ย ย ย "Eight months ago, Sophie Deveraux and her sister Jane-Anne lost everything. Now, four months after that, a young pregnant girl wanders into their restaurant. Suddenly, all hope is renewed. Jane-Anne actually sacrificed her life so that her sister can use you to find Davina. If Sophie Deveraux is successful in capturing Davina, she can return Jane-Anne's daughter back to life. We thought we'd come here to wage a war for power. This is about family. In order to return her niece to life, Sophie Deveraux will fight to the death. That makes her more dangerous than anyone."
ใปโฅใป
ย ย ย ย Jordanna and Klaus laid in bed, her head rested on his chest as they talked. They'd been like that since Elijah had told them about Sophie's story.
ย ย ย ย ย Laid in the comfort of one another's arms as they waited . . . for whatever the fuck was coming for them next.
ย ย ย ย The supernatural world was never something quiet, it was never calm. It was like a war zone. Kill or be killed.
ย ย ย ย They needed to prepare themselves because they couldn't be too sure of what was coming, so they enjoyed it while they could.
ย ย ย ย "I still think it's a boy," Jordanna murmured, referring to a conversation they had the night before on the baby's gender.
ย ย ย ย Klaus shook his head with a small smile, "I believe it's a girl."
ย ย ย ย "Either way we're fucked," Jordanna chuckled. "A mini Klaus or Jordanna, god, imagine."
ย ย ย ย "At least we won't be bored," the hybrid smiled down at her.
ย ย ย ย "True."
