For many people when they say their in love, they always express lovey dovey feelings, but not for Stephanie Gilbert.

Who after the tragic death of her parents in a helicopter incident when she was seventeen she was later raised by her aunt Michelle in the city of Denver, alongside her three cousins Lily the youngest, Mason the middle child and Liam the oldest and her step uncle James.

There she spent most of her days trying to distract herself from the death of her parents anyway she could, which would be either playing dress up with Lily, cooking with her aunt or even her favorite memories falling asleep on the couch in the living room as Lily leaned her head on her shoulder while popcorn was all over, with Finding Nemo playing in the back.

To her, she never had a forever, her mother nor father stayed with her forever, and of course she knew that. She had no idea who would become her forever, until the day she wouldn't forget happened, a day she wished she wouldn't remember.

She was preparing for her graduation ceremony, she had gotten into a good local college, and her and her family would be down there to support her, though quickly that night escalated into several events that would lead to her losing her entire family.

After losing her family she left Denver and in the mist of a pre apocalypse she had traveled and did her best to try and survive. She had never taken a life before that, but over time, the number of people you kill starts to blend together, the number of infected.

While traveling through a small part of Balitmore, there she would run into who would soon become the love of her life, a quick witted, sassy tomboyish woman with light olive skin, hazel green eyes, and dark brown hair.

Alice Monroe, who she found in her second trimester of pregnancy holding a gun to her back threatening to kill her if she didn't give her the food she had just scored from a local abandoned store.

Stevie of course didn't mean to ever run into Alice, but like fate she did, and after bargaining with the 22 year old she managed to ger her not to kill her and from that moment on, both her and Alice stuck together.

Watching out for one other, taking watch while the other slept, a task Stevie did every night she felt a sense of duty to look out for the young woman, and soon after a couple of months the two fell in love with one another.

A love that was reckless, intimate and world ending, they would kill for each other, and it was always them against all odds, for as long as they both lived and death would tear them apart.

Now, a couple of years later, after getting a tip from a random teenager boy about a special stash, Stevie dragged Alice to Boston where the two plan to steal it from the local Fireflies, but things didn't go to plan

And now her and Alice are tasked along with a man she meets a man name Joel and a woman named Tess, to now suddenly smuggle a 14 year old girl name Ellie to a destination and once done the pairs would separate, they would both get what they wanted.

But... the journey ahead was something none any of them were prepared for.

i suck at summary, but here we are, after watching the last of us, i knew i needed to make a fic about it, so here it is! children of the apocalypse, i'm so excited to write this book along with stevie and alice who are becoming my favs, sunshine x sunshine protector and two lesbians' just trying to survive in the midst of a apocalypse, while rising a baby, a joel and a ellie imao, you guys are going to love them and i can't wait till season 2 and how i'm going to write that, anyways love you babies, so thrilled!
