𝒊𝒊. girls night

❝ are you guys even on good terms? ❞

OLIVIA SEATED HERSELF on the floor of Penelope Garcia's apartment next to JJ. Beside the blonde next to Olivia, was Emily who had herself on a colorful loveseat where Tara and Penelope sat on the couch next to it. In front of the women was a green ottoman, where bottles and glasses of red wine were placed. Music subtly played in the background of their chatter and the clinks of their wine glasses. "First girls night with Emily and Liv back!" Penelope exclaimed.

"I'm pretty sure girls night is not as fun with three people as it is with five." Tara commented. "Agreed." JJ remarked, taking a sip from her wine glass.

"Yeah, well our girls night was just a movie, take-out, and wine." Emily told. Olivia emphasized, "Lots of wine."

"Oh, I have missed this." Penelope smiled.

"So," JJ started, "we have caught up with Emily when she came back, now we just need to catch up with Liv. Tell us everything that happened since last time we saw you."

"Well, Ollie and Rosie are still ignoring me and have only gotten more angsty and spiteful, I considered adopting a dog — did not end up doing it, and I have been learning Italian in my free time because I have nothing else to do." Olivia replied, sarcastically smiling.

"Who are Ollie and Rosie?" Tara asked, sipping some wine. Olivia answered, "My best friend's kids that I adopted when she passed away. I love them more than anything, but they are really getting me frustrated."

"Still?" Emily questioned, Olivia nodding her head. "They've been acting like that for over a year. Not even my goth high school phase lasted that long."

"I know that they're calling and texting someone, but they keep denying it and refusing to tell me who it is." Liv told.

"I think it might be Spence." JJ spoke. The ladies all quirked their eyebrows, and JJ took it as a sign to further explain. "He's on his phone more often. Sure, he could be talking with his mom, but I could've sworn I saw him on FaceTime with them."

The women snickered. "FaceTime? Spencer Reid? He rarely uses his e-mail." Emily commented.

"I know, it's weird! But I swear I saw the twins on his screen and they were talking." JJ said, raising her hands in defense before anyone else could remark on Spencer's anti-technology characteristics.

"Wait, why would Reid be on the phone with Liv's kids?" Tara asked.

"They dated a few years back, but broke up. And we all know the twins have an emotional attachment to him." Penelope leaned in to explain, Tara nodding her head in understanding.

"Okay," Olivia said, "I can't blame them for being attached to him. They never had an actual male authority figure in their lives. They even get emotionally attached to male teachers sometimes."

"Are you guys even on good terms?" JJ asked Liv. "Thursday was awkward, and you know it."

"I think so." She shrugged. "We haven't really talked in a while, but I like to think we are."

"But what about the sparks?" Penelope chimed in. Olivia looked at her, "What sparks?"

"You know," The blonde made firework-like motions with her hands. Liv narrowed her eyes in thought at the Garcia woman, slowly shaking her head. Penelope's hands dropped back onto her lap, "Really, you're gonna tell me there was no spark? Not even tiny little fireworks going off when you saw him?"

The Griffins girl consumed a little of her wine, shaking her head again, "No, there was no spark. But not matter what, I love him and I always will. He was one of my closest friends before, who says we can't be close friends again?"

Although Tara wasn't on the team when Spencer and Olivia dated, just by the expressions present on the ladies' faces was enough to let her come to the conclusion that they were one hell of a couple. JJ, Emily, and Penelope absolutely loved them as a couple. They always wanted to know the cute parts of their dates, teased the both of them for their beaming smiles that were caused by each other, and gushed over the little things they did for one another. They often referred to themselves as three supportive wine aunts watching their favorite people in love. You can only imagine their reactions to the news of the breakup. They felt as if they were watching a movie with bad writing and they just wanted to throw popcorn at the screen in protest.

Olivia cleared her throat, "Okay, so um, tell me about Mr. Scratch. I have some general knowledge on him, but not enough."

"He's the worst ever." Penelope muttered.

"Yeah, he first used burning sage to drug his victims and when he escaped prison, he changed his victimology to those with DID. And now, he has this thing with Hotch where he won't stop until he finds him." JJ told.

They spent the night sharing information about Peter Lewis, or Mr. Scratch. They mostly just shared opinions on him that involved a lot of cursing and making fun of. Afterwards, the five women shared stories, watched old films to watch the outdated references and editing, and drank even more wine.
