"Was this really necessary?" Tom asked, pulling a shovel out of the back trunk. "It looks like we're hiding a body."
"We are not hiding a body, Thomas. We're just digging a grave for your failed fake relationship," Lilah said, rolling her eyes.
"You're insane."
"And you have to deal with me," she shrugged.
"Yeah, you're right about that," he sighed. "We don't even have anything to bury though."
She pursed her lips and thought, then pulled something out of her pocket. "How about this picture?"
It was the picture of him and Olivia, the one they'd used to announce their relationship. Tom shook his head and mouthed to Lilah: 'i n s a n e.'
She just grinned at him and gave a quick kiss to his lips. "C'mon let's go!" she exclaimed, running onto the beach.
Because they were in L.A. for the Far From Home premiere, the only place Lilah could think of to dig a grave for his relationship was the beach. At night, so no one was around. It seriously looked like they were hiding a body.
Olivia was actually one of the first people to find out about Tom and Lilah's marriage. Mostly because the morning after, when they were getting out of the shower together, Olivia was just coming through their front door. And saw them . . . not entirely fully clothed. Together.
But at least she never came onto Tom after that.
Actually, there was never really any drama between the three after she found out. Maybe a few hints of jealousy—but never any verbal or physical commotion. No matter how much Lilah wanted to punch her.
"Here looks good," Tom said, dropping the shovel into a spot near the water.
They dug for around half an hour, got bored easily. But at the end, after Tom dropped the picture into the bottom of the hole and then covering it back up—Lilah stomping on the top of it for good measure—they jumped up and down in victory. High fiving, they danced around the beach.
Tom took Lilah's hand and twirled her around, a bright grin on his face. She spun back into his arms, his arms crossed over her abdomen. He pressed a kiss to her neck and rested his chin on her shoulder.
"You excited for tomorrow?" he asked her.
"yES. I really wanna see the dress," Lilah said.
"What dress?"
"The dress Rachel got me."
"It'll be our second to last time matching on the red carpet," he sniffled, "memories."
"What are you wearing?" she asked him.
"Clothes." Lilah stepped out of his hold and turned around to look him in the eye. "It's the truth!"
"She didn't tell you either, did she?" Lilah said. Tom shook his head. "Damn her. What color do you think they'll be? The outfits, I mean."
"Yellow. Or green. Or rainbow."
She hummed. "Maybe red. That'd be nice."
A silence fell over the two as their gazes fell to the water, the cool night breeze making the ends of Lilah's hair float a little in the wind. After a while, Tom spoke up. "Hey let's have a race."
"Okay . . . what's the reward?" Lilah asked.
"Um, a kiss, obviously," he said, rolling his eyes. "But if I win I get to choose when and where."
"What do you mean where, Thomas."
He only grinned and ran off.

Maroon.
That was the color Rachel had chosen for Tom and Lilah's outfits. And it was perfect.
Tom's suit jacket, the shirt underneath, and pants were all the color—it was simple, utterly beautiful, and made him look like something that of a prince.
But Lilah's . . .
Like usual, they'd gotten ready for the premiere separately, but Tom eventually waltzed into Lilah's hotel room because he got bored all alone. And he'd stopped dead in the doorway upon seeing her in that dress. Rachel had really overdone herself this time.
The top half was tighter on her bodice, with a neckline that dropped all the way to just below her breasts, lace lining the edges and seams. Where one half the skirt of the dress started and fell, the other halted at her hips, leaving a slit to expose her leg. The swathes and folds of the skirt shifted as Lilah turned towards the door to see Tom staring at her, his mouth wide open.
Heat rose high on her cheeks as his eyes trailed over her, lingering around the plunging neckline—a discrete assessment of this dress on her body.
He bit his lip and strode over to her to place a quick but thorough kiss onto her mouth. Onto her lips he whispered, "You look amazing."
"You don't look so bad yourself," she smiled.
"Just wait until I put on the glasses," he said.
Lilah scowled at him. "Do you mean the glasses you stole off my nightstand this morning?"
"What? No." He gave her a look that said otherwise. "By the way," he leaned forward again, so his lips were just barely hovering over hers, "I won that race. So I'll be redeeming my reward soon."
Lilah put a hand over his chest and pushed him away, just a little. "Alright, while you decide when and where that kiss will be, I'm going to go see Z. She said Anabel was wearing a dress??? That's something I have to see."
Tom hung his head back and groaned as Lilah left the room.
But she popped her head back in, as if just remembering something she wanted to tell him.
"Do you have that one thingy that Eliza gave you?" she asked. He blinked, surprised by her question.
"Yeah, actually. It's just in my bag, hold on," he said, quickly running out of the room to grab it while Lilah sat down on her bed. He came back in and sat down next to her.
"Can we call her?" she asked.
Tom shrugged. "Maybe. I haven't tried it yet." He toyed with it a little, then pressed the small button on the top of it. It was like a phone, but a lot more advanced. It started to beep.
"H-hello?"
Her voice filled his ear, but she sounded like she was trembling—with fear or something else, he didn't know.
"Eliza darling? Is that you?" he questioned.
She sighed. "Tom. Hi."
"You kinda sound like you're out of breath," he chuckled.
"Yeah . . . I was just . . . running," she said.
There a was a moment of silence while he waited. Finally he said, "Eliza, you and I both know that you would never run unless the food delivery guy was knocking at the door."
"Hey—"
"Stop trying to change the subject, you know I'm right."
"I wasn't—"
Lilah gave him a pointed look. "Anyways, Lilah and I told everyone a few weeks ago, just thought I'd let you know." He was smiling widely—the feeling of saying those words aloud overjoyed him.
She sighed again, this time lighter, "That's great, Tom. I'm really happy for you."
"Yeah yeah, but she wants to talk to you, so here."
He handed the phone to Lilah, who was visibly nervous to talk to the fictional version of herself. "Hi! I'm Lilah. And you're Eliza. Which you probably already knew."
Eliza laughed on the other sighed of the phone. "So I heard you and the British guy got together. Question: does he host tea parties?"
Lilah snorted. "Yes, he most definitely does. Actually, it was one of the first thing he did when we got our apartment."
"That's what I thought," she said.
"Anyways, what's going on with you?"
Eliza was silent at that. It was almost like Lilah could feel her go stiff. "Uh . . ." Eliza let out a shaky breath, "You know how Tom told me about Thanos and all that stuff? And how P-Peter and I died?"
Lilah's voice lowered, "Yeah. Yeah I do."
"Well, Peter, h-he kind of . . ." Eliza couldn't finish the sentence. But she understood immediately.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." She glanced at Tom—noting the silence on the other side of the phone. "Eliza? You there?"
"Um, yeahyeahyeah, I'm here, I'm here," she said quietly.
"Hey, if you ever need to talk to anyone, I'm here. Literally all the time, I have nothing to do. Oh, and so is Tom, but he's always busy watching his own movies." A glare from him at that.
But Eliza laughed, sniffling, "Thanks, Lilah."
"Anytime." Tom pointed to his watch and shot up off the bed. "Oh shit—we have to go to the premiere. It was really nice talking to you, Eli! Bye," she said. There was a chuckle, a beep, then the call ended.
As they rushed out the door, Tom grabbing Lilah's hand in the process, she whispered to him, "Peter died."
He stopped in his tracks so fast Lilah almost tripped. "He what?"
"He died," she repeated.
"How?"
"I don't know," she said quietly. "But Eliza was fine, so it wasn't Thanos or anything. Do you think it was an accident?"
"I don't know."
Lilah was about to say something else, but Zendaya came running up to them, Anabel by her side. Her sister, in a dress. It was a bright white, and it looked like she'd even gotten a haircut for the event.
"Wow—you look beautiful," Lilah said to her, then turned to Daya. "Holy shit—so do you."
Tom grabbed her hand and pulled her down the hallway, away from Daya. Over his shoulder he shouted, "Z, she's taken. Go somewhere else before she leaves me for you."

Standing about half a foot away from Lilah, Tom tried his best not to glance over at her, and pay attention to the interviewer in front of them. She asked Lilah, "So I see your husband here is wearing glasses, what do you have to say about that?"
"Yeah—he stole them off my nightstand this morning, the little asshole," she said, sending him a glare.
"Yeah, speaking of which, you guys got married? How's that going for you guys?"
Tom answered, "Pretty good. Although I might divorce her if she keeps on taking my Spiderman pajamas."
"That was last year, Thomas. Let it go," Lilah said, putting a hand on his shoulder. A small shudder skittered down his spine, just at that small touch.
"That was a joke by the way—I'm not going to divorce her," he said.
"Well the entire internet has been going off, especially because both you guys disappeared for two months, and then just announced that you were married?! Was that your big honeymoon?"
Tom laughed, "Actually no, we got married like two years ago—" Before he could continue, Lilah was cutting him off with a glare. "And I wasn't supposed to say that. Oops. Um, she's giving me the look so I-I gotta go."
Lilah grabbed his hand with hers—the soft one he liked to hold at night when he couldn't fall asleep—and dragged him away to the entrance of the theater, where their movie would be showing in about an hour. He glanced at the crowd, where the news was spreading like wildfire, just from that one interview. Lilah's hand went to his jaw, silently forcing him to look at him.
He expected her to be fuming, as she often was, but she looked like she was on the verge of busting out into laughter.
Her brows furrowed together, but she was obviously having some internal was with herself to keep it together. She looked absolutely adorable, especially now that she was all dressed up, parts of her hair up while the rest flowed freely past her shoulders.
Finally she broke.
"W-why would you tell everyone that?" she said, holding her stomach with laughter.
"It's just my mouth, Lilah. It does things my brain doesn't allow."
She let out another laugh and put her hands to his face once again. "I really love you a lot."
"Well that's a relief," he smiled down at her.
Harrison and Eveline came running over to them. "You guys better not start making out," Eveline covered her eyes.
Harrison spoke up, eyeing Tom, "You told everyone didn't you?" Guilt flowed through him. He muttered, "Dumbass." Then walked away.
"By the way you guys," Eveline said, "I'm helping with the second wedding. No exceptions."
"Okay but this does mean you will have to wear an earpiece," Lilah said.
"Oh of course," she waved a hand and walked off.
Tom's gaze again fell upon his wife. She was smiling widely, her tongue stuck in between her teeth. He sighed, "I'm gonna get cheesy for just a quick second, so get ready."
She nodded and looked him up and down, as if actually getting ready.
"Lilah . . ." he breathed, "this tiny little love of ours has come to take over my heart completely. You have taken over my heart. You're the only person who's ever made me feel something—and I-I really love you a lot," he laughed a bit.
She smiled again, putting her hand over his heart. Meeting his eyes, Lilah said, "Tom, this tiny little love of ours is something I've come to cherish, something I've come to protect, and care for lovingly. Because I am yours, and you are mine."
The hand that Lilah had over his heart, his thundering and roaring heartbeat, was what brought him to lower his head, his mouth settling over hers, and kiss her. He kissed her until the cameras stopped flashing, and until the event around them had quieted. Until their lips became numb, and their limbs became stiff. She kissed him like it was the last time, but it wasn't. Like it was the first time, but it wasn't. She kissed him until it felt like both their hearts were connected, until they slowly pulled apart. Then grinned at one another.
Because she was his, and he was hers.
a/n- anyone want an epilogue with the 2nd wedding???
