TITLE: Betrayal (this title is a work in progress TBH)

TAGLINE: the 1980s; golden age of materialism, music videos, big hair, and horror films.

SUMMARY:

In 1898, Georges Méliès released the world's first horror film: Le Manoir du Diable. 80 years later and the genre is at an all time high. Writers get off on the opportunity to mindlessly kill off hormone-riddled teenagers and audiences can't buy tickets fast enough. The final girl. The perfect starlet scream. A masked monster whose only goal is taking out as many people as possible, with little rhyme or reason. The recipe for success is quite simple, really.

That's how this group of aspiring young actors ended up together, filming at what typically is a Boy Scout camp in Hitchcock, New Jersey. Maybe they don't always like each other, but that's the nature of a job, isn't it? You don't have to befriend all of your coworkers, you simple have to bite your tongue and bare it.

One month. That's all it's going to take. One month, and then they can sell out cinemas around the world and cement themselves amongst horror film royalty. That shouldn't be too difficult to manage, right?

How were they to know that they would find themselves cursing Méliès for ever being at the forefront of the craze? That their first steps onto set would rival any entrance into the house of the devil?

FURTHER EXPLANATION: 

essentially just the story of a group of actors in the 1980s on set for a horror film, and obviously things do not go smoothly. I don't plan to reveal tooooo much about the plot because I like a little ~mystery~ but if you're involved with my current apply fic, I will say this one might be a little darker lol.

I do not plan to publish this until I'm a little bit closer to the end of Calamity, because then I can field applicants and get started on it as I wrap up Calamity. I've had this idea for like... A month now maybe? So I just wanted to share a bit of where my brain is going next and see if the plot interested anyone.
