KIM AERA (SOMU / A): I felt really bad for Lena, I don't know why she just gave up like that... it just didn't seem fair. Even if I have a higher class than her, doesn't mean i'm automatically better. Things happen, and i know Lena is an awesome vocalist.

MOON HYORI (PLEDIS / C): Ok, what about the main rapper part?

SON EUNJI (SM / C): What about you, Chen-ssi?

XI CHEN (SOMU / ACE): Um... I think i'm a much better dancer than rapper, but i would like the lead rapper part of that's ok?

MINATOZAKI LENA (BBC / C): Who should it be then?

SON EUNJI (SM / C): Maybe... I could do it?

XI CHEN (SOMU / ACE): I think you'll do really well Eunji-ssi.

MOON HYORI (PLEDIS / C): aaaaAaA why are we so awkward? I know we're supposed to be like the avengers team and all, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends?

KIM AERA (SOMU / A): Agreed. 100% — This is a team effort.

MINATOZAKI LENA (BBC / C): Well you can start by dropping the -ssi from my name... you don't need formalities with me.

SON EUNJI (SM / C): Me too! No one ever calls me Eunji-ssi except my dance trainer when she's angry at me.

the girls step into place and begin with a team cheer, setting the tone for the bright song.

but, when it comes time for aera to do her adlib, she misses her cue completely.

the group continues, but it's obvious that something is wrong.

BAEKHYUN (VOCAL MENTOR): Aera-ssi... what was that? you just decided not to do the ad lib?

KIM AERA (SOMU / A): I-I'm really sorry, I just...

to everyone's surprise, the usually stoic aera bursts into tears.

immediately, chen rushes to hug her.

BAEKHYUN (VOCAL MENTOR): We all make mistakes, but you cannot do this right before a performance. You'll cause your whole team to go down.

（ONSTAGE WITH TEAM CHERRIE）

XIYEON (NAT. REP.): Team Cherrie! How are you feeling about your performance tonight?

MINATOZAKI LENA (BBC / C): We have a lot to live up to, but i think if we get a strong start- we'll definitely rise to the top.

MOON HYORI (PLEDIS / C): I was really nervous before we got onstage, but suddenly seeing everyone in the audience, I'm only excited to perform for you all!

TAEMIN (NAT. REP.): Do you have anything else you'd like to say to the national producers?

XI CHEN (SOMU / ACE): Actually... yes. Eunji-ah?

SON EUNJI (SM / C): It has come to our attention that one of our members has been receiving threatening and bullying messages from some fans and another trainee on the show.

XI CHEN (SOMU / ACE): The messages have been targeting our teammate, Kim Aera. They have been saying things like "she doesn't deserve to be in a class" and that i only picked her because we're from the same company. But that isn't true at all. Aera-ah is one the the most talented vocalists on the show. You'd have to be blind not to see that.

SON EUNJI (SM / C): While there will always be some people out there that spread hate instead of love, we won't allow that for anyone on Team Cherrie. We stick together.

XI CHEN (SOMU / ACE): That's all. We hope you enjoy our performance.

PARK NAHYUN (BBC / B): To be completely honest, I'm really happy with this song. I think it's way better than Red Flavor.

HUANG CHUNHUA (SM / C): I live solely for the sass in the chorus- they keep talking, i keep walking!

SON MARA (CUBE / ACE): Icy has a dance break, but Red Flavor doesn't. We definitely should emphasize that and practice the dance first.

JEONG YUNHA (KQ / B): Ah, I know the entire chorus already... this was the only song the other trainees at KQ would play all summer.

LEE HYENA (YUEHUA / B): Awesome! I mean- not awesome because if i had to listen to the same song for an entire season i'd probably go insane- but like awesome because now we are going to slay this performance.

SON MARA (CUBE / ACE): I think was the most words i've ever heard Hyena say...

JEONG YUNHA (KQ /B): Try sharing vocal class with her, she speaks more than she sings.

hyena pouts at yunha, who raises her hands in surrender.

JEONG YUNHA (KQ / B): That is not allowed- You know i'm weak for the puppy eyes.

PARK NAHYUN (BBC / B): Lets start from the first chorus- Chunhua unnie, will you count us off?

the girls continue to dance for the next few hours, working on the lines as they go.

PARK NAHYUN (BBC / B): Our team had really good synergy... it was easy to work with everyone... there wasn't tension or anything... best team mates i could ask for!

SON MARA (CUBE / ACE): At the beginning i was a little nervous because everyone had such high expectations of us... but we are honestly doing really well! Who says you need drama to be popular right?

AMBER (RAP MENTOR): This is one of the easiest raps of all the group battles, you have to add your own flair. Honestly, to me, it sounds like you don't want to be here.

HYOLYN (VOCAL MENTOR): I think Amber-ssi's comment is true for all of you. The dance looks spectacular. The vocals and rap are average at best.

AMBER (RAP MENTOR): I know it's early in the competition, but this is your first performance live for the national producers... average is not the way you want to go.

HYOLYN (VOCAL MENTOR): Can we take it from the top?
