࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 001 .  WHEN IS THEIR BIRTHDAY?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    september 9th! so as far as ages go, she's pretty much in the middle of her class, between iida (august 22nd) and yao-momo (september 23rd) .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 002 .  DO THEY DO ANYTHING TO CELEBRATE THEIR BIRTHDAY?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    yeah! tsubame likes having birthday parties but usually other people will surprise her with one. she typically had calm birthdays with her family at home, but after moving into the heights alliance dormitories, her class throws her birthday parties. she prefers to stay home (or at a dorm) during her birthday, opting for spending quality time with the people she cares about rather than going out to do something grand. homemade cakes and fun are a must !

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 003 .  DOES YOUR CHARACTER LIKE COFFEE BETTER, OR TEA?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tea all the way! she drinks teas with most meals, and bubble tea still remains her favourite even though she knows it's awful to drink all the time. she loves sugar! tsubame can't handle coffee, she hates it .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 004 .  DO THEY PREFER BEING ALONE OR WITH OTHERS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame's not really made to be alone, she relies on human interaction and comfort to function. she's never had a lot of solid friends before U.A., but she always had her family. and then, of course, when 1-A are introduced they become just as important to her and she relies on their presence just as much. so, yes, she's not really good at dealing with being totally alone .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 005 .  ARE THEY IN GOOD HEALTH?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    er, that depends on any given point at time tbh. she's not generally unwell and she doesn't have any underlying health conditions but she does get injured a lot at U.A. and i'm not going to act like that won't have long-term effects. (it makes me sad that this is the same in canon and that both midoriya, iida and todoroki all suffer with likely permanent injuries just from their first year of high school  ੨( ·᷄ ︵·᷅ )ｼ  they deserve better) .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 006 .  WHAT SENSE DO THEY MOST RELY ON?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    ooh! this is kind of an interesting question for tsubame because she's autistic and it means that all of her senses are increased to a sometimes overwhelming degree. in terms of battle, i'd say tsubame relies most on sound — it lets her detect enemies coming her way before she even needs to turn to see them, and keeps her constantly alert. in terms of personal reliance,,, touch? touch is very important to her in terms of showing and receiving affection, and soothing her and others. anything from hugs, to platonic forehead kisses, to casual touches like the brushing of hands on shoulders or head scratches. she relies on it to be grounded in that sense  ๑' ³')ﾉ .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 007 .  IS YOUR CHARACTER AN OPTIMIST OR A PESSIMIST?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    an optimist 100% ! she's always convinced that things will turn out alright and encourages those around her to think the same. her optimism can waver, though, if the situation is extremely dire and she starts to doubt her ability to get out of there unscathed .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 008 .  WHAT IS THEIR FAVOURITE FAIRY TALE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    'shita-kiri suzume' (the tongue cut sparrow), a japanese fable. her father used to tell it to her, and she enjoys it to this day. partly because of the message (which she still heeds), partly because it contains talking animals, and the rest because tsubame's name means "sparrow" and she thinks that's cool .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 009 .  DO THEY BELIEVE IN HAPPY ENDINGS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    of course! tsubame doesn't exactly know where she's going to end up, nor does she really have a plan. she's not hoping to get married by a certain age or have a particular number of kids or move to a certain part of the world. but she does have confidence that she's going to end up somewhere and she's perfectly content with just going with the flow and waiting to see where that leads her. she's confident, though, that it will all turn out okay in the end. (at least, in the beginning  (⌯˃̶᷄ ﹏ ˂̶᷄⌯)ﾟ ) .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 010 .  DO THEY BELIEVE IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    no, not really. i think she'd love the idea that love at first sight could exist, but she doesn't believe in it, and it's not true for her .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 011 .  HOW WOULD YOUR CHARACTER COURT THE PERSON OF THEIR DREAMS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    by... not. tsubame's awkward af with her feelings and has never been in a romantic relationship before so she just avoids it at all costs out of pure embarrassment. but does escaping the dorms on midnight 24-hour convenience store soba runs count as courting?  (*ฅ́˘ฅ̀*) .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 012 .  WHAT MAKES YOUR CHARACTER EMBARRASSED?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    having a crush. once again, she doesn't know how to handle her feelings, so naturally she's blushy around shoto once a crush develops, but she's even more embarrassed when the others catch on and start teasing about it. she also gets embarrassed under intense praise .

HAVE THEY EVER BEEN BULLIED OR TEASED?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    i don't think she was ever a victim of direct bullying as per se because she's the kind of girl who'd stand up for herself and fight back, and she's also not averse to resorting to physical violence. but she definitely was unfairly and unjustly excluded during her elementary to middle school years, and that affected her pretty negatively even still today. abandonment issues 🙄🙄 she also definitely got teased behind her back, but it was rarely said to her face because she wouldn't hesitate to throw down with a bitch if they ever dared to bully her .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 014 . DETAIL ONE SECRET SHAME YOUR CHARACTER FEELS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    oh shit i 100% know what this is but it hasn't been revealed yet so i will not elaborate rn  ( ' ▽ ' ) .

ARE THEY MOST LIKELY TO FIGHT WITH THEIR FISTS OR THEIR TONGUE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    i took this literally help, i just finished writing the fight scene where tsuyu was her ally so it made sense to me  (。T ω T。)  she's definitely a fists kind of person, tsubame's not the best at talking it out and if stuff goes ugly she's not afraid to give someone (typically bakugou) a beatdown .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 016 .  WHAT IS THEIR CHOICE OF WEAPON?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    her own body? she never uses weapons, because her quirk is strength-based so she fights with punches, kicks, headbutts, claws, bites, literally everything that she can. and it's very effective !

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 017 .  WHEN DOES YOUR CHARACTER THINK THAT VIOLENCE IS JUSTIFIED OR DESERVED?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame really isn't averse to getting physical when someone threatens her, though it's rare for her to start it. in her opinion, violence is justified if she's being placed in danger or attacked first, (or if bakugou is getting particularly infuriating), and it's deserved if it's the league of villains or endeavor. she's not super good at listening to aizawa's rule about the hero's code and all that, and for example in the training camp when they need permission to fight back, tsubame's not the type of person to wait for that. in danger = justified violence in her mind, and she'll defend herself however she needs to. she'd never attack someone out of line though, and she'd never want to kill or grievously injure anyone .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 019 .  IF THEY COULD HAVE A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD THEY CHOOSE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    hehe, i'm going to change this question to "if she could have anyone else's quirk, what would it be?". tsubame's very happy with her own quirk, but she's definitely jealous of shoto's and bakugou's — being a short-distanced fighter puts her at a lot of disadvantages. in this situation, she'd pick shoto's half-cold half-hot quirk !

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 020 .  WHAT ARE THEIR HOBBIES?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    pretty much any kind of physical exercise! boxing, running (both long-distance and sprinting), gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, soccer, gym workouts. she has to do a lot to keep herself 'sane', otherwise she'd go stir-crazy, and she really enjoys it. tsubame also really enjoys learning about animals and it's the only kind of study she's genuinely invested in. and, though this isn't really a hobby, she loves spending quality time with people. going out to get boba with friends, movie nights, shopping, anything with her friends, classmates or family .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 021 .  HOW DO THEY DISPLAY AFFECTION?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    her love language is physical touch, and that's for platonic and familial relationships as much as it is with romantic. stuff like head pats, hugs, casual touches, kisses (platonic, too, like on the head or cheek), generally just draping herself over people, sitting side-by-side, cuddling, running hands through hair. literally anything physically affectionate she loves, both giving and receiving. tsubame isn't good with boundaries and she forgets that personal space exists so yes she's very physically affectionate! most of those around her appreciate it, though. her second love language is also quality time, she loves showing her caring through just spending casual time with people, even if it's just studying together or sitting in the same room playing video games .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 022 .  WHAT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING THEY'VE EVER SEEN?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    everything? tsubame falls in love with so many fleeting moments, so many little things. how the rain sounds against a transparent umbrella on one particular day; being dragged along by uraraka ochaco and ashido mina's hands the first time they go on a girls' trip; the sunset every single night; how the sun might glance off of koi in a pond; that calmness that settles over the dorms when everyone is lazing around the common area; looking down on musutafu from the top of a mountain. that's what the story is focused on. her love for so many little things that make up the fabric of the world. but would it be cringe to say the first time shoto laughed bc,,,,  ୧꒰*'꒳'*꒱૭✧ .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 023 .  WHAT DO THEY CONSIDER BEAUTIFUL IN OTHERS PHYSICALLY?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    like how she finds so many moments beautiful, tsubame feels the same about people. she just thinks human beings are lovely. she thinks shouji is beautiful in the same way that bakugou is and the same way that todoroki and ochaco are. like, there are not any particular features that she finds particularly 'beautiful', she just kind of thinks they all are. she sees beauty in every physical part of a person, no matter what they look like. idk, she's just very sentimental and thinks all people are physically wonderful .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 024 .  WHAT DO THEY CONSIDER UGLY IN OTHERS PHYSICALLY?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    honestly, i know that it's a cliché, but nothing? she's not the kind of person to judge someone's physical appearance and there are definitely very few people she'd consider 'ugly'. i don't really think she'd label anyone that term .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 025 .  WHAT DO THEY CONSIDER BEAUTIFUL IN OTHERS PERSONALITY-WISE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    once again, tsubame falls in love with people like she falls in love with small moments. her heart is just so full of it that it hurts. she finds it beautiful when people can make her laugh, when they're kind and open, when she can get along with them without either of them even needing to talk. she values empathy highly, but as long as you're not a person who fundamentally clashes with her, chances are she'll think you're beautiful inside too .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 026 .  WHAT DO THEY CONSIDER UGLY IN OTHERS PERSONALITY-WISE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    basically anyone who blatantly doesn't care about others or goes about their way to harm them. also people who are too angry and aggressive. she can usually get along with a fair amount of personality-types, but anyone who goes out of their way to hurt other people needlessly is someone she can never get along with. so any member of the league of villains is a no-go  </3  no shiggy and tsubame supremacy. (can we imagine LOV tsubame though?? let me indulge myself in a villain au for a while 😳) .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 027 .  WHAT IS THEIR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    honestly, i think tsubame is already perfectly happy. like i said, she falls in love with the slighest things. i think when you can find joy in walking through a supermarket and realising that everyone around you has their own lives, or falling in love with standing out in the rain and listening to the sounds, you're already perfectly as happy as you can be. tsubame is content with her life. she loves her friends deeply, so much it hurts, she loves shoto. so, like, honestly... when tsubame is in the dorms, just sitting around with the rest of her class as they do their own things and clamour about in their own way, that's her idea of perfect happiness. she's happy wherever she is in a situation like that, and she's happy with the moment. she just loves them, and that, so much that in those content moments she is always just the happiest she's ever been .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 028 .  WHAT MAKES THEM LAUGH OUT LOUD?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    a lot of stuff! she's a happy and chaotic person so she laughs super loudly whenever she finds something amusing. she laughs constantly with the bakusquad, and most of the rest of her friends can make her laugh .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 029 .  WHAT SORT OF SENSE OF HUMOUR DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    man, idk, tsubame will laugh at just about anything. she doesn't like jokes that push it too far, or that are mean-spirited, but she's a naturally humourous person and she just likes laughing .

DO THEY BELIEVE IN THE AFTERLIFE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    hmm, i don't really know if tsubame knows what she believes. she'd love the idea of an afterlife but she can't settle on if there is one or not, or what it's like. she thinks it's maybe just what life was like before you were born, or when you're asleep, and that scares her .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 031 .  ARE THEY SUPERSTITIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    yeah, i think she's reasonably superstitious just with lessons that her parents taught her. stuff like hiding her thumbs and fingernails from hearses when they pass by she still does, and she also never sleeps with her head towards the north. she also refuses to cut her nails at night due to the superstition that it means your parents will die before you see them again. for positive superstitions, she has a maneki neko at the entrance of her home to bring good fortune, and while at shrines she'll participate in the ceremony to pray for a wish .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 032 .  DOES YOUR CHARACTER BELIEVE IN GHOSTS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    why not? i feel like she'd and the rest of the bakusquad (minus bakugou) would definitely be convinced that there was a ghost in the dorms when they moved in. hagakure probably catches onto their suspicions and starts pulling poltergeist pranks to scare the shit out of them .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 033 .  DO THEY KEEP THEIR PROMISES?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    yes! tsubame hates breaking promises and being dishonest, so if she agrees to make a promise on something then she's going to be serious about it. if she breaks a promise, it's a big deal to her guilt-wise and it's significant to those around her. she's someone people can trust .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 034 .  WHAT'S THEIR VIEW OF LYING?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame hates lying, and it always makes her feel guilty. she only does it if it's absolutely mandatory, and it's pretty much reserved for when she's interacting with villains. again, if she lies, it's a big deal .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 035 .  WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE YOUR CHARACTER LIVES BY?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    cheesy, but she's really adopted U.A.'s motto of "go beyond: plus ultra". i think that's because it can be interpreted for many different things. work harder, push through the pain, keep fighting, save everyone, don't leave anyone behind, do better. she's always trying to go above and beyond to be the best hero and human being she can be  ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 036 .  HOW HONOURABLE IS YOUR CHARACTER?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    i'd say that tsubame is quite honourable. she tries to be as good as she can, and would never go out of her way to be dishonest, hurtful, or disrespectful. she's not the most honourable person out there because she fights dirty and gets easily angered, but she's definitely not dishonourable .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 037 .  IF YOUR CHARACTER SAW SOMEONE DROP A LARGE SUM OF MONEY AND KNEW THAT THEY COULD PROBABLY TAKE IT WITHOUT ANYONE NOTICING, WHAT WOULD THEY DO?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    ... okay, so like,, tsubame would contemplate taking it. not going to lie, she'd definitely think about it. her family doesn't have a lot of money and it could help them a lot. however, the guilt would eat away at tsubame for the rest of her life if she really just stole it, so she'd definitely return it to the person instead. unless it was a large sum of money to the point of suspicion in which she'd probably call tsukauchi and get him to run a check because who knows that might be a villain .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 038 .  WHAT BAD HABITS DO THEY HAVE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    i don't know if i'd refer to them as 'bad habits' but tsubame fidgets a lot due to ADHD and she also anxious stims. also does lack of personal spacial awareness count as bad habits? because yeah she has no concept of personal space .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 039 .  WHAT DO THEY THINK IS THE WORST THING THAT CAN BE DONE TO A PERSON?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    shit,,, tsubame knows an awful lot of things that can happen to people that are worse than death, and she's seen it. dabi, kuogiri, the nomus, eri, ragdoll, mirio. turning into something new and horrible; losing all semblance of who you once were; having your quirk taken away... there are a lot of ways to destroy someone other than death. but she thinks the worst thing possible is taking everything a person has ever loved away and leaving them entirely empty. breaking someone's spirit means that nothing else you can do will be worse .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 040 .  WHAT IS THEIR OBSESSION?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    oh, animals for sure! she has to know an insane amount about them for her quirk, and she absorbs information about them super quickly. she loves learning about them. also, hero stuff in general! she's obsessed with taking part in more hero training. and i'd say her craving for exercise is a bit of an obsession too — she relies on it heavily to function .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 041 .  ARE THEY COMFORTABLE WITH TECHNOLOGY?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    yeah of course! tsubame's always on her phone or playing switch games with the rest of the bakusquad, and she's good with texting and social media and all of that stuff. she's grown up with it so it's not unusual to her .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 042 .  WHAT IS THEIR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    hmm, at this point in time, just getting into U.A.! it's a giant achievement considering the tiny portion of applicants they accept and it was obviously a really significant milestone in tsubame's life .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 043 .  WHAT WILL THEY STAND UP FOR?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame will stand up at any injustice, she's not hesitant about following her values and being loud about it. mostly, this is against villains, but she also even speaks out against staff at U.A. when she believes they're wrong about important matters (like her involvement with bakugou's rescue at kamino), or they're not doing a good enough job (protecting students and teachers). she'll also speak out against her peers like bakugou or her friends. basically, she's not tied down but what other people will think about her — if she believes there's something wrong, she'll stand up against it .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 044 .  WHAT DISGUSTS THEM?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    people chewing loudly. also, endeavor .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 045 .  DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE ANY CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    nope! tsubame is pretty healthy .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 046 .  HOW DO THEY HANDLE GETTING SICK?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame hates being sick, and she luckily doesn't get ill very often. but when she does have something bad like a fever or the flu, it's very frustrating and upsetting for her because it knocks out all her routines and leaves her feeling like shit. people usually have to care for her when she's badly sick, like her family or her dorm classmates, and she's often pretty miserable. if you interpret 'sick' as being injured and bound to bed, well, she handles it pretty much the same way, and that occurs relatively often. 90% of the time, if she's supposed to be in bed when she's unwell (either sick or hospitalised) she'll break out anyway, much to the outcry from her peers and teachers .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 047 .  WHAT WAS THE LAST MEDICAL PROBLEM YOUR CHARACTER HAS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    ... where do i pick this up from? she's had a lot and i don't want to spoil, but ig the most recent i've planned is head trauma, so <3 .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 049 .  HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER FEEL ABOUT GROWING OLD?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    i think it's something she has conflicting opinions on. she doesn't really want to grow old, she likes that she's in the prime of her life right now. but i think she sort of loves the idea of it too: growing old with whoever becomes her spouse, watching children grow up and have grandchildren, she loves the domestic idea of it. but she's also realistic and knows that not a lot of heroes live until that stage .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 050 .  HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER FEEL ABOUT THEIR OWN MORTALITY?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame is... not pleased with it. she's pretty terrified of dying. she wants to experience as much of the beauty of life as she can, and love as many things as she can, so the idea of that being cut off before she can live it all scares the crap out of her. she knows it's part of life and she knows that heroes don't have very long lifespans but it's still frightening .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 051 .  IF THEY KNEW THEY WOULD DIE TOMORROW, WHAT WOULD THEY DO TODAY?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    this is kind of a fear in tsubame's and 1-A's everyday life, so, like, it's pretty much daily for her. so, then, each day she just tries to live as best as she can. have as much fun as she can, point out as much beauty as she can, cherish all the time with her friends and family. she never knows when she's going to lose it all. and can i just say... if something happened where she was sure that she was going to for certain die the next day, i think she wouldn't tell anyone. this is just a random thought, but i think she'd keep that to herself. plan a big day out with everyone, filled with fun, and happiness, and make sure no one knew how it was going to end up the next day so she could just cherish those genuinely joyful moments together .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 052 .  WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S WORST FLAW?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    hubris? love? lack of awareness of social cues? tsubame's got quite a few things that can trip her up depending on the situation !

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 053 .  WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S GREATEST STRENGTH?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    cliché, but yeah, it's love. idc that it's cheesy and sometimes boring, tsubame does everything for love. and i don't just mean romantic love, and i don't even mean just platonic love. though those factor very importantly into it. it's just... love. love for the world, for how beautiful the universe and humanity is. tsubame believes in good. and that carries her in everything that she does. it makes her so, so much stronger because when she's fighting against villains who want to destroy the world, tsubame wants to protect it just like if it were her sister, or shoto, instead. she wants to keep the world full of those little beautiful things, and she will push so hard to keep it that way, even further than her body allows .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 054 .  DOES YOUR CHARACTER WANT POWER OR AUTHORITY OF ANY KIND?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    i don't think she's really after power — though i know that's the motivation for many heroes. she more wants authority over villains, i guess? she just really wants to be a hero for more selfless reasons and because she wants to help people .

"kacchan", she just genuinely calls bakugou this after a while because she picked it up from midoriya. "world shaking!" is one of her hero super moves, and she stole it from sailor uranus in sailor moon bc she's a nerd and also has a crush on haruka. on that note, she also once tried to use aizawa's capture weapon while shouting sailor venus' "venus love-me beam!" as a catch phrase and just ended up causing chaos bc she does not know how tf to control the weapon. there are a lot of phrases that i haven't thought up yet that she'll probably use, taken from her friends and family, because that's kind of her thing and the point of the fic. she's a mosaic of everyone she's ever met, and aren't we all ?

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 060 .  WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S ATTITUDE TOWARDS EDUCATION AND LEARNING?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame loves learning! it just depends on the topic. she's really invested in anything about animals or quirks, hero training, modern art studies, etc. she's not so good at stuff like maths and english. she frowns upon the education system though because in most schools they treat neurodivergent kids like her pretty badly and don't teach them correctly. she's also lowkey over U.A.'s bullshit after a while .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 062 .  WHAT SORT OF LEGACY DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH TO LEAVE BEHIND?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    she wants to leave behind a big one! she hopes to be a role model to young aspiring heroes, like miruko and all might were to her, and to basically show the world that women heroes also need to take the spotlight. and, idk, she just wants to be a hero high on the rankings who's known for good! after starting at U.A. and getting to know her classmates, she realises she'll never truly be number one. she knows that the spot will be reserved for todoroki, midoriya, or bakugou. but she doesn't plan on them leaving her behind, and she's going to stay right as close with them as she can. she just wants to be a hero who's recognised for being a good force on the world, and who encourages everyone to see the best in the world .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 063 .  HOW WELL DOES YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE DIFFICULT PEOPLE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    depends on the level of difficulty, the situation, and the person, i guess? tsubame's first reaction is to get mad because she's got a pretty chaotic personality, so if someone's being difficult and nasty she's going to fight back and antagonize them (like bakugou in the beginning). she's not very good at keeping a cool, totally the opposite of todoroki and even midoriya. but if it is someone like bakugou, or even todoroki i suppose could be counted as difficult at first, the longer she gets to know them the more she gets to understand and empathise with them. her abilities of dealing with them and getting inside their defensive walls increases tenfold .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 064 .  IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR CHARACTER ANNOY OTHERS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    i adore tsubame with all my heart, but she can undoubtedly be irritating. she's not good with social cues, i've stated that already, because she's autistic, and it can get her in all kinds of trouble (like me, aye). not knowing when to stop a joke, when your words may be hurting someone, when you're being too blunt, or if she's talking too much, etc. she asks stuff without thinking sometimes. she also literally forgets that the concept of personal space exists and can be irritating if people aren't comfortable with that or in the mood. plus she talks a lot and is super loud, and that can be an issue for a lot of people. all of this is why she'd rather people just tell her how they're feeling or if she's overstepping boundaries, rather than wait to get mad, since she's not good at picking up minor cues like that. but she is also the most loveable, loyal person ever and those who stick around her love her to bits !

WHICH DO THEY PREFER?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame is a follower, though she's good at coming up with strategy. she'll mostly follow bakugou's lead (the stark difference between season 1 and 2 her, lol) along with the rest of the bakusquad, but she'll also be lead by any other of the natural leaders of 1-A — midoriya, yao-momo, and iida. she doesn't blindly follow but she's definitely always running off with kiri and kaminari to chase after bakugou .

WHAT KIND OF THINGS TRIGGER IT?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame takes responsibility seriously, and when it comes down to it, it's most often responsibility for the lives of civilians, friends, and those around her. she's the designated person for rescue and protection, since her quirk gives her the strength to carry the injured or frightened and defend them if need be. therefore, she becomes responsible for many lives. she also places that responsibility on herself, to defend her friends and even teachers, though she knows they can likely protect themselves. she never wants any of them to get hurt .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 072 .  IN A DUNGEON'S & DRAGON'S GAME, WHICH CLASS WOULD YOUR CHARACTER BE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    OOH OOH, i've thought about this extensively because of the canon fantasy au that mha gave us in the season 2 ending credits. y'know, the one where midoriya is a paladin, ochaco is a mage, iida is a knight, todoroki is a prince, kirishima is a dragon, bakugou is a barbarian, etc, etc. shapeshifter is a d&d 5e class so that's definitely what tsubame would be, with her mother being a doppleganger and her father being human. since the shapeshifting class is pretty looked down upon in societies she'd just be living out with barbarian! bakugou and dragon! kiri, axe maiden! mina, musketeer! denki, and rogue! sero,,, bakusquad just vibing as societal outcasts. anyway i've thought about the fantasy au a lot bc they really gave us it in season 2 and then left us hanging,,, i want to have a bonus chapter or two exploring it! i'll never get over the official credits / manga art for it .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 073 .  IN A NOVEL, WHAT PLOT ROLE WOULD YOUR CHARACTER FILL?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    right, so obviously tsubame is the protagonist of my fic, but i do feel like if she was part of an actual novel she'd just be a deuteragonist, a confidant of sort and pretty much the 'sidekick' and a secondary protagonist. idk why i'm imagining the novel to be set around bakugou, but i am. idk, this is a weird question because she is in a novel and she is the protagonist, but yeah if it was just an mha novel she'd be the deuteragonist .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 074 .  WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S FAVOURITE GAME?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    ooh she loves stardew valley and pokémon platinum, but also competetive games like smash bros or mario kart are some of her favourite pasttimes around the dorm! kiri also introduced her to a fighting game series which involves popular pro heroes like the crimson riot and so they and the rest of the bakusquad and some other class 1-A members spend hours beating each other up as their favourite heroes. (midoriya and bakugou always both want all might and it's always a fight over who gets his classic costume, whereas tsubame likes going for miruko or mt. lady in the most recent versions of the game) .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 076 .  HOW DO THEY EXPRESS ANGER?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    by, just,,, getting angry? she's not very good at calming herself down, and she's not averse to shouting or starting a fight (once again, typically with bakugou). when she gets really, really angry during an intense situation she just kind of loses it. growls and snarls are pretty common, baring her teeth, claws, all that. sometimes if it's extremely frustrating and her anger is directed about someone she cares about she'll start tearing up with frustration .

OVER WHAT?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame doesn't really like to show herself crying and she's usually a pretty stoic person. she typically only cries when she gets overwhelmed and brought to the brink of a meltdown, usually due to auditory or visual sensory overload, and even then she keeps that to herself and will escape somewhere private to go through that. (until they move into the dorms where it becomes not much of a secret anymore). as things get more intense with the incidents at U.A., though, she does begin to cry a lot more about things like fear or sadness or grief or frustration (like when bakugou slips out of her grip at training camp), and if tsubame is crying you know that it's bad .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 078 .  HOW EMOTIONALLY STABLE IS YOUR CHARACTER?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    depends on what act tbh SKDHFKD, season 1 and 2 and even the start of 3 she's like a-okay, reasonably emotionally stable. USJ messes her up reasonably bad though. but it's after training camp, then kamino, then the shie hassaikai, that she's pretty screwed up just like the rest of 1-A. and i know what's coming in the manga, so. she's still all her happy self but i would no longer call her emotionally stable, her resolve and stoicness has crumbled a lot. and like the rest of her class she begins to be unable to sleep (i liked how they showed that in the s4 credits, it hit real hard) .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 079 .  HOW EASY IS IT FOR THEM TO READ THE EMOTIONS OF OTHERS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    this is something that tsubame's not great at. once again, she's autistic and that means that she misses a lot of social cues. she's not the best at picking up facial expressions, especially slight ones. she'd always just prefer if people told her straight-up how they were feeling, rather than make her guess. however, the better she gets to know her friends the more she becomes attuned to minor expressions of emotions, particularly todoroki's and bakugou's. but, lucky for her, most of her friends are pretty obvious and loud with their feelings .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 080 .  HOW EASY IS IT FOR OTHERS TO READ YOUR CHARACTER'S EMOTIONS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame is pretty good at keeping fear and pain hidden to those around her, but those who are older than her (aizawa, the league of villains) and her friends can recognise in her eyes and the shake of her wild grin when she's terrified. and even though she tries to be stoic all the time, it's very obvious whenever she's about to cry. so other than terror and pain (which only those experienced with her can easily pick up on) she's pretty much an open book .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 089 .  HOW VOCALLY EXPRESSIVE IS YOUR CHARACTER?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    okay, so, like, tsubame's loud, and she's usually pretty good at saying what she's thinking, except when she's not. once again, tsubame's autistic, she experiences meltdowns just like every other autistic person, and though she usually flees to experience them in private, there are times when she just can't. when her classmates or family sit with her through it. and when that happens, she goes pretty non-verbal and can't speak out loud, so in that case she's not vocally expressive at all. and in other situations when she's overwhelmed, such as on the brink of a meltdown, or experiencing auditory/visual sensitivity, etc, she's also not good at talking. so it's like, both !

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 091 .  WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC DOES YOUR CHARACTER LIKE?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    her music taste has a pretty wide range! tsubame adores anything upbeat, and she pretty much exclusively listens to japanese music (obviously). high energy pop music, artists like morning musume, da pump, perfume, and KANA-BOON, that she can dance to and get excited about. same with modern rock bands like ORANGE RANGE and BAND-MAID. she also vibes with bakugou's old-school rock music, like nirvana and G.I.S.M. (and also has to put up with it regardless because his dorm room is across the hall and after kamino he blasts it until like 3AM). and she would be lying if she said she didn't introduce yao-momo to babymetal (she and the girls jam out to their 'pa pa ya!!' for hours in the dorms, they know every word and hagakure and mina do the rapping; the boys and aizawa often walk into a metal concert in the common area). babymetal have a song named 'akatsuki' that she listens to absolutely religiously. it's her surname, after all (akatsuki means 'red moon') .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 092 .  WHAT EMOTION DOES YOUR CHARACTER EVOKE IN OTHERS?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    love. fuck, that's sappy to say, but i think people just love her. or at least, calmness, safety, peace. 1-A becomes extremely close after all the shit that they go through, and especially when they move into the dorms, and they all begin to view tsubame as this kind of 'rock'. like, they all trust her, and a lot of them will go to her if they need help, or advice, or just a vent or a hug. so she makes people feel safe. safe and loved  ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡‧₊˚ !

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 094 .  NAME THREE THINGS MOST WOULD NOT EXPECT YOUR CHARACTER TO BE ABLE TO KNOW?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    biology. a lot of people think she's not that intelligent because she's flunking academic classes like english and maths, but she is incredibly versed in biology, particularly focused on animals and genetics. she needs to know exact DNA makeup for her quirk so it's paramount. art history. she's quite keen at learning about it at U.A. and she and kaminari denki are both pretty good. the words to every studio ghibli movie. this is just such a random fact but they've been a hyperfixation for her since she was a kid and they're still comfort films, she can recite them probably in her sleep .

࿐ ࿔*:·ﾟ 095 .  NAME THREE THINGS MOST WOULD NOT EXPECT YOUR CHARACTER TO BE ABLE TO DO?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    be comforting. i feel like most ppl who saw tsubame from afar, particularly at U.A. or in her hero costume when she's so confident, loud and chaotic, would presume she's not gentle. but, like, that's her main thing is that she's incredibly good at looking after people, she just might not seem like it upon first glance. sleep anywhere. again, she's super hyperactive so those who don't know her very well probably wouldn't assume that she can literally sleep sitting up in class or while having a somewhat functioning conversation with someone, (based off of my experience in year 12 when i literally used to be tutored while i was asleep sitting up and just nodding along, i was on a different level <3). again, that's mostly because of her quirk. her physical strength. once again, she's muscular, but most people wouldn't expect the brute physical strength that she has behind her punches and kicks, especially villains for the first time. she can take them off guard majority of the time bc they underestimate her for being a girl and for being short. but she can easily break bones with a few hits .

WHAT ENERGY DO THEY PROJECT?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame carries herself confidently, maybe a bit too arrogantly. she's very loud and projects total chaotic energy. (she's a lot like miruko but i SWEAR i wrote her during season 2 before i even knew miruko existed). proud, strong, outspoken. she's also very loud and gets along well with people. to 1-A after a while, they also see all this as projecting a layer of warmth and safety, so even though she's often cocky it's something to latch onto and look to for protection. they don't see it as her being arrogant, they see it as her being content with herself, and yeah she also has this very safe energy that makes them feel comfortable .

IF SO, WHAT DO THEY DREAM ABOUT?    ˖◛⁺⑅♡    tsubame dreams a lot! she doesn't always remember what they're about because they're not unusual in anyway, but they're often pretty surreal (as dreams usually are). however, dreams turn to nightmares pretty quick as time goes on, and while nightmares used to be extremely rare in her case, they become a nightly experience, sometimes even more than once. obviously, she's not alone with this and the rest of 1-A have the same. nightmares are often jumbled but typically involved all the trauma at U.A., sometimes her mother, and frequently feature her family, friends or teachers being gravely hurt or killed. she also has nightmares about herself being killed, or what could have gone wrong in her recent past experiences. it wakes her up at all hours of the night in a cold sweat and sometimes brings her to a meltdown. luckily, at the dorms, her friends are just a few texts away. due to their own increasing nightmares, most of them are already awake to come sit / lie with her .

this has been such a long chapter and effort but ahhhh i just really wanted to delve deeper into tsubame's character and also explore questions i'd never really considered before

as an autistic person, it's really fun finally writing an outright autistic character (though i'm sure most of my already created ocs have a bunch of autistic traits bc that's just how i experience the world), i feel like it adds a whole other depth to tsubame and how she experiences / reacts to certain situations. also, this set of questions was super good. for example, i'd never really thought about what music taste tsubamemochi would have before, but picking what i think she'd listen to opened my eyes to a bit more of her character.
