【 O N E 】

𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡 [ 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗜 𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡 ]

the whole senate was crowded with people talking, bickering with each other, probably debating whether if my titan powers are good and its an advantage for saving humanity or they will just kill me because their asses can't take anymore risks.

my hands were tied for hours and my knees are getting shaky because i've been kneeling here since God-knows-when. they can atleast put me in a chair or something?! i mean, i'm a captain! show some respect! 

i grunted when the senate's door burst open as i saw guards dragging Eren before making him kneel beside me.

"E-Eren!"

"C-Captain Y/N! What are you doing here? Are you...a-are you a titan─"

i nodded as a response. i'm a cadet before Eren and since he got in here, we became so much close together with his friends and Hanji. he lowered his head as the judge entered the wide room and the crowd turned silent. i saw Levi on my right side and when we made an eye-contact, he immediately turned away.

Levi is a typical, cold person. a clean freak, probably don't know how to socialize with other people but since i started being a captain, he's always by my side and i learned how to be a good, independent leader. we really don't get along well, sometimes we'll end up throwing knives at each other and we can't start a nice conversation.

but i don't know why i saved him last expedition last week.

"Today, Y/N L/N and Eren Jaeger are under custody for being caught after proved that they can turn into a titan. We don't know what consequences we can encounter if we let them live..."

the crowd turned wild and noisy again. i can see Hanji and Levi's eyes staring at me on my peripheral vision. 

"...or if we kill them."

"We can prove ourselves."

i shouted but a cadet kicked me hard in the jaw causing me to spit blood. son of a bitch! 

i threw him a death glare as he averted his gaze from me. this cadet is one of my soldiers and i will surely fire him once i get my job back! well, only if i will get it back.

"We didn't give you permission to speak, Captain L/N─"

"But why can't you hear us first─"

"Shut the fuck up, brat. You're making things worse."

i gave a cold stare at Levi from my right. his arms are crossed in his chest and he looked so bored. he can atleast say a simple 'thank you' after i save him right? i scoffed after hearing his remark at me. no matter how much i wanted to get out of this mess, i need to stand up for this thing.

it's not my mistake for becoming like this. my father should be the one in here, not me. i'm just one of his experiments, maybe a failed one but successful at the same time.  

"Erwin Smith, you can now start your proposal."

"Yes, sir."

i watched my commander climbed down from the bleachers and standing in front of everybody, capturing everyone's attention. his eyes lingered to me and to Eren, giving out a small smile before proceeding.

"I, Erwin Smith, the current commander, is wholeheartedly proposing to take Eren and Y/N under my watch. I believe that they are a great help for us in saving humanity. Like what Y/N did, she transformed into a titan to save Captain Levi Ackerman from an aberrant. This is the first time she transformed into a titan and she already have a full control on herself, having and trying to achieve her goal. I'm pretty sure that Eren Jaeger have it himself. Please consider my explanation. Thank y─"

"How are you sure about them having a complete control on themselves during their titan form? What if they messed up next time?"

the main judge's serious and deep voice boomed through the whole room.

"I will be the one to kill them."

everyone looked at Levi who jumped from the railings of the bleachers before making it's way to us. i thought that he's going to me but he ignored my presence, instead, he went to Eren before giving him a nice kick in the face. it's too late before i controlled myself so i shouted the hell out of me while Levi kept on beating Eren. i can even hear Mikasa's shouts and cursing from the left side of the bleachers. 

tears streamed down my face as i saw an almost lifeless Eren beside me, blood dripping from his face.

"Please stop! Levi, stop it! E-Eren!! L-Levi stop it!"

Levi stopped from kicking and punching Eren as his cold eyes stared at me. i immediately have a gut feeling when he lounged at me and gave me a hard kick on the stomach causing me to throw up blood and groan in pain. what the hell is he doing? is he out of his mind? 

he then punched my left cheek before slapping me hard in the face. i want to shout and tell him to stop but i'm to tired from saying anything. i just keep crying due from the pain that i can't endure anymore.

he stopped from kicking me before gripping my hair and forcing me to face him. 

"If you go berserk, I will kill you."

"Y-You...you should have did it right now." i tried to catch my breath as i saw those things to him. i kept on crying but its obvious that he didn't care.

"I shouldn't have...s-save you. I should have keep my secret...i-instead o-of this."

"Y-You...you should have did it."

i was shocked at his remark before he stood up as he loosen his grip on my hair. He bowed at the judge before doing the respect and starting to give out his speech.

"I would like to take these two under my watch. I will take a full responsibility on them and I will make them help to our expeditions and we will bring back Wall Maria. If they go out of control, I will not hesitate to kill them and I solemnly promise to do my job."

the people started murmuring on each other as we waited for the judge's response. we waited until he slowly nodded as an agreement to their proposals. a big thorn was now unclogged from my heart and i can now breath properly. 

atleast, i am sure that i can still live more years.
