"If you got your both eyes injured, always remember to focus on regenerating atleast one of them so you can still be able to see on who's going to attack you."

i nodded as i scribbled down Hanji's lecture at me. i can sense that Levi is already preparing for his attacks at me and he's now wearing his maneuver gear. we will have a duel and i will everything to dodge or probably hurt him using my titan form.

i don't want to do it at first but he said that this will be a great opportunity so i can defend myself when we go into expeditions and when they ask me to transform.

"Maybe next time, we will focus on your hardening. Together with Eren. He still suck at it and you two are our only hope of taking back Wall Maria. You got it, Y/N?"

"Yes, Hanji. I got it."

"Another important matter is you got the screaming power of calling titans to get near at you. If you use your power to scream, titans surrounding your area that will hear your yell will surely run after you. I don't know if this is an advantage for your part or not but if you gather the titans in a smaller venue, we Survey Corps will have an easier and bigger chance of killing them all immediately."

"Aren't you done with the lecture, brat?" i saw Levi crossed his arms in his chest before looking at Hanji.

Hanji just scoffed at him before looking at me again with a smile on her face. Hanji patted my shoulder with a reassuring look on her face.

"Don't get feel nervous okay? It's just Levi. I'm pretty sure that you might forget everything that will happen or you will make at your training but make sure to apply all those lecture that I told you."

"O-Okay. Thanks."

i stood up from my seat before i saw Levi flew into the training grounds before climbing into a tall tree. i walk to the center before looking at Hanji. she raised her thumbs up as i closed my eyes before biting my left hand hard and i can even feel blood pouring from it.

...but nothing happened.

i opened my eyes and i saw my hand bleeding but still i'm not yet transforming into a titan. i bite once again but still, nothing happened. i can feel fear starting to over power me before i kneel to the ground as i bite both of my hands.

"Dammit! Dammit! Why can't I change?!"

i was about to bite my hand again but Levi stopped me. i looked up to him before tears starting to fell from my eyes. 

"W-Why can't I change? Do I lose my powers already? I c-can't take Wall Maria back?! W-what if I can't really transform anymore? What...will happen?! What if—"

i sobbed as i felt Levi's embrace on me.

"S-Sorry...I-I can't change. I'm a failure. S-Sorry, Captain..."

"Shh. I'm pretty sure that you can change later, brat. Maybe you're not yet ready."

"B-But—"

Hanji came running to us, screaming.

"Y/N! What happened? Why didn't you change? Did something happened to you? You want me to test your body? Come—"

"Shut it, idiot. She's probably not yet ready to transform."

i wanted to cover my eyes because i don't want to hear their conversation anymore. i just cried as Levi helped me to stand up, he even gave me a tissue to help me wipe my tears but it accidentally slipped out of my hand and it fell down. my first instinct is to pick it up so i bend my body but a loud explosion came from my left hand and we were lighted by a yellow light coming from me.

the explosion caused for Levi and Hanji to fly into the air and slammed down on the ground. i opened my eyes as the thick smoke started to subside and now i saw my left arm in its titan form. i didn't change, just my left arm.

i tried pulling my left arm to its titan form and veins pattern are visible on it. i ran to Levi and Hanji as i helped them to stand up.

"You idiot! Don't transform when—"

"I didn't mean it! I'm sorry! I just wanted to pick up the tis—"

"Enough with the reasons, brat!"

i was about to protest but i chose to remain silent. why is it so hard to be a titan? i mean, i dont want to be like this in the first place, it's my dad's fault setting up experiments. i just wanted to do simple things like saving Levi and picking that tissue but i ended up transf—

"I knew it!" i suddenly shouted at them.

"Shut it off, brat. I know you have nothing good—"

"I transformed because I pick that tissue!"

"And now it's the tissue's fault, stupid?"

i eyed Levi and he just shrugged off. i looked at Hanji who i think is more interested on my idea.

"I think that I will only transform if I have a goal in mind. I didn't transform a while ago because I just bite my hand without thinking of any reason why I like to transform. Example, when I wanted to rescue Levi, I transformed immediately because I have a goal in mind and that is to save him. Like what happened now, my left arm transformed because I wanted to pick up a tissue. I think, that's how it goes."

Hanji squeled in excitement before anchoring her arm at me. she dragged me back to the headquarters while singing energetically. we entered the mess hall and i already captured Eren's attention. he waved at me so i didn't hesitate to wave back.

"Goodmorning, Captain Y/N!"

"Goodmorning, Eren! Goodmorning guys!"

Levi just snickered beside me before closing our distance so that i felt his arm brushing against mine. i blushed but i just shrugged it off.

"That's for today! I think you learned something about your nature! That's great!"

"So it means that we're finished for today?"

Hanji nodded at me. "By the way, see you later. I have more experiments to do!"

Hanji walked away as i saw Eren gesturing me to join his squad so i was about to walk to them but Levi immediately dragged me by my wrist to his office. i wanted to protest but i saw Eren running after us and calling my name.

"Captain Y/N!"

"I will talk to you later, Eren—"

then Levi shut his office door off. yup, i guess he's going to shout at me again.
