"𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞, 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐢'𝐦 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲?"

     ELOISE stood on the ottoman in front of the mirror in evie and mal's dorm, looking at her dress in the mirror as evie adjusted it for her to see better. she loved it, a lot, but she wasn't sure if her face ruined the outfit. auradon was filled with pretty girls, but eloise didn't know if she was categorized as one of them.

     "so, how do you like it, ellie?" evie's voice snaps the blonde out of her thoughts.

     "i love it..." eloise tried to hide the insecurity in her voice, not wanting evie to think she didn't love the dress, because she truly does.

     "is something wrong? do you want me to change something on the dress?" evie asks in concern for the girl.

     "no, i love the dress... it's just that... evie, do you think i'm pretty?" eloise asks suddenly, looking down at evie, then stepping off the ottoman to be able to look at her without having to look downwards.

     "of course i do. why?"

     "i don't know... i just feel like there are people that are so much prettier than me in auradon prep..."

     "eloise, i think you're so pretty that..." evie inhales nervously. 'it's now or never' she tells herself. "i think you're so pretty that i want to ask you to be my date to cotillion."

     "what? r-really?" eloise is shocked. she somehow was the only one oblivious to evie harboring a crush on her.

     "...yes. eloise fitzherbert, will you be my date to cotillion?"

     "i- um! y-yes, i will." eloise squeaks out, a blush spreading across the apples of her cheeks.

     "good. i've liked you for like a year, y'know?"

     "what?! you have?! and i didn't know?!"

     "yeah. and you're the last one to figure it out, too."

     "i am?! am i really that oblivious?"

     "yeah, seems like it." evie laughs, smoothing her hands over the dress again. "i need to figure out a small matching detail to add on both of our dresses. can't be dates if we're not matching, y'know?" evie grins, putting her chin on eloise's shoulder from behind, looking in the mirror. eloise smiles back at her sheepishly.

𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞:
really short chapter but it's probably the most important one yet because eloise and evie are a thing now! after a whole movie of pining. so i promise that eloise will be making more appearances and be mentioned more. also thank you evie for distracting eloise from her insecurities because i'm sure they're wiped away now that she knows she's crushed on by the most fashionable girl in auradon.
