"𝐢'𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡. 𝐢 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐚𝐲."

     ELOISE was sitting in ben's office with him, helping him sign papers and other important documents. evie knocks on the door.
    
      "ben?" she asks, opening the door slowly to peek inside.
    
     "evie! come on in." she looks worried.

     "mal's gone back to the isle." she reveals with a sigh. she walks over to ben and eloise, both of them looking worried and confused. evie hands ben a paper. she locks eyes with eloise, who whispers 'are you serious?' evie nods. ben grabs the paper, about to unfold it when evie says his name again. she slowly hands him the ring that he gave mal before his coronation. he unfolds the paper, reading it. he stumbles back a bit, and eloise puts a hand on his shoulder. he shakily hands her the letter to read.

     "t-this is my fault. this is my fault. i blew it. she'd been under so much pressure lately and instead of being understanding, i just went all beast on her. i have to go there and apologize. i have to go there and beg her to come back."

     "ben, you'll never find her. you need to know the isle and how it works and..." she pauses, looking at him. "you have to take me with you."

     "yes! uh... i-i... are you sure?"

     "yeah. she's my best friend. and we'll bring the boys too because there's safety in numbers and none of us is really too popular over there right now." evie states when eloise cuts in.

     "i'm coming too."

     "no, you're not."

     "i am."

     "ellie-"

      "i'm coming with. i don't care what you say." eloise says firmly. it was the first time evie had seen her so set on something. it scared her a bit.

     "okay, fine. but you're not leaving my sight. and let's get two things straight. you have to promise me that i won't get stuck there again."

     "i promise." ben responds.

     "and there's no way you two are going looking like that." ben and eloise look confused.

❦𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐩❦

      "jay, keys, remote." ben tosses the items to jay while the five run down the stairs.

     "wait! something's wrong." evie exclaims. she pauses in front of eloise, un zipping her purple jacket slightly to show the studded shirt underneath. "there."

     "shotgun!" dude yells from the steps. everyone looks over at him.

     "no, dude. stay! the isle is way too dangerous." carlos tells him. he whimpers. evie gasps and ben and eloise look amazed.

     "did he just..." jay starts.

     "talk? yeah, i know. i'll tell you later." carlos interrupts.

     "let's go." ben says with a shrug, the group getting in the car.

     "okay, once we cross the bridge, park under the peir in the old garage, got it?" evie tells jay. he responds with 'got it'. eloise leans her head on evie's shoulder, sighing nervously.

sorry this chapter is so short! it's late and my hand is cramping😞 i got a new evie necklace today! i had one in 2015 but i lost it when i was evie in 2016 for halloween😭 i miss all my descendants stuff i had every single evie doll released along with other dolls and had so much merch. i still have 4 of my descendants books tho! next chapter they'll be on the isle!
