CHAPTER FIFTEEN //
CARMEN LAID IN THE SPACIOUS BATH, the hot water flowing over her body as she heard loud classical music on downstairs while Beau maneuvered around the kitchen.
Beau had insisted she take a long bath while he get dinner ready for them. He wanted everything to be perfect for their reunion. Even though the water was hot a chill run through her body at the thought of what exactly Beau had planned for them tonight.
She had thought about running, sneaking out while he was distracted in the kitchen but where would she run to? The cabin they were in was practically in the middle of nowhere, secluded from others just like Beau wanted it. She also didn't know where her clothes were.
Beau brought a suitcase full of designer clothes of her. Of course he made sure he showed her this — it was his present to her he claimed. He had hidden it somewhere though, making it easier for Candy to stay put.
"Carmen, my dear!" Beau's voice called out as she heard his footsteps on the stairs. "Are you done in there? Dinner is almost done." He stated matter of factly while knocking on the half shut bathroom door.
Beau wasn't a stupid man. He wouldn't allow the door to be full closed or locked. God forbid his Carmen tried to leave again. He couldn't allow that again.
A quiet sigh left Carmen's lips as she sat up in the bath and grabbed the black silk bathrobe that Beau had laid out for her. The thought had crossed her mind of just slipping underneath the water and allowing the hot liquid to fill her lungs, but she couldn't. She wouldn't allow Beau to win.
Candy had never been a religious person by any means, but she prayed she survived Beau Harrington — no matter what it took.
"Carmen?" Beau's voice held a nervousness to it along with a small hint of anger once she didn't answer him. He could clearly hear the water moving around and her as well, so why wasn't she answering him.
The bathroom door quickly opened just as he was about to walk in. There stood his beautiful Carmen wrapped in the silk bathrobe he had gifted her along with her beautiful hair slicked back from her bath. Beau thought she looked absolutely gorgeous, he couldn't believe she was his.
"Sorry." Candy quickly apologized with a smile on her tense face. "The bath was just so relaxing." She added while pulling the robe closer to her body.
Beau's eyes had wandered towards her body, eyeing her with a devilish look in his eyes and it made her skin crawl. It wasn't the kind of look Happy gave her. Beau's look was completely scary.
Beau waved his hand at Carmen's words. "Don't apologize my dear." He smiled. "I know how much you needed to relax and enjoy yourself. Especially after that lowlife biker had put his dirty hands all over you." His jaw tensed as he spoke about Happy, an anger taking over his body.
"Tell me Carmen, is that really who you enjoy spending your time with? You think so lowly of yourself that you give yourself to a scumbag like him?" Beau raised a questioning eyebrow as he stepped closer towards Carmen.
A lump formed in Carmen's throat at Beau stood right in front of her, his hand resting on her cheek. She wanted to punch him, spit on him, anything really to get him to leave her alone and tell him that Happy wasn't some lowlife scumbag. Happy wasn't the one who had kidnapped her — he'd never do any of this.
Carmen knew she had to play this smart though. She had to make Beau happy and that she believed what he was doing was right.
An apologetic smile formed on her face as she leaned into his touch. "I was so lonely without you Beau. I know it's a terrible excuse and I don't expect you to forgive me, but I needed to feel something and I just grabbed the nearest person and it was him."
She forced tears to form in her brown eyes as she stared up at him, hoping he believed her award worthy performance. Beau was a smart man expect when it came to her, and she was hoping it would work to her advantage.
Beau nodded, understandingly as he wiped the tears from her eyes. "It's okay my love. I understand needing just someone there for you. I have you back now and everything will be okay. You will me my wife, Carmen." His words a promise or a threat depending on how you looked at it.
Carmen could feel a chill run through her body at his words. She needed to get out of here and away from him — quickly. If SAMCRO wasn't going to find her then she needed to do it herself. She wouldn't be some damsel in distress waiting for a man to save her.
"Let's go eat." He smiled as he placed a kiss on her cheek before taking her hand in his and walking out of the bathroom.
THE LARGE WOODEN TABLE WAS SET NICELY as Carmen and Beau sat down at it, lit candles sat in the middle of the table while delicate plates sat in front of them with deliciously cooked food on it.
It would of been a lovely dinner had it been under different circumstances.
"What do you think?" Beau asked with a smile as he placed his hand on top of Carmen's, waiting for a response.
"It looks great." The brunette nodded with a small smile. "The food looks delicious." She added staring at the cut up steak and mashed potatoes along with steamed carrots on her plate. Of course he had already cut her steak giving her no knife.
"Well, please eat." He gestured towards the food, keeping his hand still on top of hers as he began to eat with his free hand.
Carmen nodded as she grabbed a fork with her free hand and stabbed a piece of steak with it, placing a piece of the meat in her mouth and slowly chewing.
She could feel Beau's eyes on her as she ate and she knew he was waiting for her praise.
"It's delicious. It's very tender and juicy." She complimented with a smile.
Beau always wanted to be complimented about everything. Cooking especially was a passion of his and he wanted the most praise from people for his cooking skills.
"Thank you, Carmen. I tried a new recipe tonight especially for you. I think it turned out rather well." He smirked.
Carmen nodded before silence overtook them. She needed to get out of here, but how? She had no knife to injure him with, and if she asked to go into the kitchen he'd follow her. What could she do?
The fork. It suddenly clicked in Candy's brain that Beau had given her a weapon after all. Sure, not the best one, but a weapon nonetheless.
Without a second thought she stared at the fork for a moment before stabbing Beau right in the side of his neck with it. A guttural scream left his throat as he removed his hand from her and immediately placed it on his neck.
"What the fuck?!" He yelled as his eye darkened and he pulled his hand away from his now bleeding neck.
Quickly Candy pulling the chair back from the table and ran towards the door. She didn't care that she was still in the silk robe or that she had nothing my on her feet. She needed to get the fuck out of there.
"You fucking bitch!" Beau screamed as he ran after her, his hand reaching for her hair as he wrapped it around his hand. "I give you this, all of this and you replay me by stabbing me with a fucking fork?!" His grip tightened on her hair as he dragged her away from the door.
Carmen's head began to throb at the force of Beau's grip. He turned her around so she was face to face with him now, a look of pure evil on his face as he stared down at her.
"Guess we'll have to do this the hard way." He said before smacking her face.
"Fuck you." Carmen hissed as she spat on his face. "You're a fucking psycho. I can't wait until my brother finds you and kills you!" She laughed darkly, earning her another smack to the face.
A chuckle left Beau's throat at her words. "Oh baby, no one is coming to save you."
A chill ran through her at his promise. Maybe he was right. Maybe this was the end for her and no one was coming to help her.
