Bolaji, Gerald, Chidinma and I, walked into the Valentine's residence. A police truck was located right in front of the house, and two police men were guarding the front door.

Musa ran towards Bolaji and I, and began to stammer. "W-Why p-police d-dey h-here?" Musa asked Bolaji.

"Everything's okay, Musa." Bolaji said to Musa. "Just go into your house, and don't open the gate for anyone."

"I can't o," Musa said truthfully. "Me, I'll follow you people."

"Musa, you ca__"

"Just let him come with us," I said to Bolaji.

Bolaji sighed, before nodding his head. "Come on Musa, let's go in."

We all walked into the mansion, to see four extra police men plus the main officer in charge of the case, in the living room. Genesis looked at me, then back to the officer.

"About time," Genesis mumbled to himself.

The officer in charge of the case, cleared his throat before speaking. "Since everyone is present here, let's get down to business." He then turned to Genesis' father. "I've found series of evidence concerning you Mr Ozoh Valentine, about the kidnap and rape of young miss Samuels." The officer said pointing at me.

"Mr officer," Mr Valentine voiced out, "I don't know what you and your men are doing in my house. Don't come in here, and start throwing allegations at me!" He yelled at the top of his voice, which surprised me. I haven't heard him yell before. I looked over at Genesis, and he was as surprised as I was.

"Do you, know a gang called 'gun killed'?" The officer, asked Mr Valentine.

"No, I don't." Mr Valentine simply answered. The officer, smiled at himself before clearing his throat.

"Do you know Mr Andrew Rotimi? Twenty-three years old, your son's best friend__"

"Ex," Genesis said immediately.

"My apologies," The officer said to Genesis, then averted his eyes back to Mr Valentine. "Ex best friend?"

"Am I supposed to?" Mr Valentine, asked the police man. Chidinma and I looked at each other, before looking back at Mr Valentine. This was getting serious.

The police officer began to laugh, as he walked back and forth. He snapped his fingers, and two of the police men at the sitting room, immediately stood upright and saluted the officer in charge, before walking out of the living room. I looked at Genesis, and realized that he was stealing glances at me.

"Move it!" We heard all of a sudden. We all turned to see one of the police man pointing a gun at Andrew and the other, pointing a gun at - who I thought must be Scorpion.

The police men pushed them to the sitting room, and forced both Scorpion and Andrew, to be on their knees. All this time, the police men never stopped aiming their guns at them.

"So Mr Valentine," The officer in charge began, "Do you know this guys?"

"I don't," Mr Valentine replied shortly.

The officer then turned to Scorpion and Andrew, "Do you know this man?" He asked, pointing at Mr Valentine. They both nodded their head slowly, making Chidinma and I, to gasp involuntarily.

The officer forced his boys, to turn Scorpion and Andrew, to face Bolaji, Musa, Gerald, Chidinma and I. "Do you know her?" The officer asked Scorpion, as he points at Chidinma. Scorpion eyes grew wide out of shock, before nodding his head. "What about her?" The officer pointed at me, and Scorpion shook his head. The officer nodded at that.

The officer looked at Andrew, who was shaking seriously out of fright. "Did you try to rape her?" The officer asked Andrew, as he points at me. Andrew nodded his head slowly. "And who paid you guys to do all those hurtful stuff?" Scorpion and Andrew, pointed at Mr Valentine.

I gulped down the lump in my throat, as I watched Mr Valentine. "I did no such thing!" Mr Valentine voice boomed, making me to hold Musa slightly cause of fright.

"Still denying it?" The officer sighed, "Maybe, this would do the trick." He shoved his hands into his side pocket, and brought out Bolanle's phone. Within seconds, the audio began to play and Mr Valentine, began to look at everywhere but our faces.

"Stop, stop it!" Mr Valentine yelled, making the officer to stop the audio before it could even end. Mr Valentine then looked at Genesis, "Of course I did it!"

"Jesu!" Atinuke dramatically kept her hands on her head. I wanted to tell her to shut up, but this case was serious.

"Why?" The officer asked Mr Valentine.

"You seriously just asked me that?!" Mr Valentine, snapped at the officer. "I wanted to acquire this properties, and the ones that were locked!"

Genesis stepped forward a bit, "You're my father, the owner of this properties. Why do you want something, that's already yours?" Genesis asked him, as his fist began to clench at the side.

"Cause it's not mine! It was your mother's." Mr Valentine yelled, as I looked at him with creased brows. "Do you think that the name Valentine, belonged to me?" Mr Valentine asked Genesis, before he started laughing like a crazy maniac.

"She's the owner of all the wealth you're seeing, and the locked ones you know nothing about. I was a no body, just from a middle class family. My brother and I." Mr Valentine began, as he walked over to his personal large red chair, and sat down. No one sat down apart from Mr Valentine. We were all waiting for Mr Valentine's explanation.

"I met your mother first, I was the one meant to marry her. But my senseless brother had to show up. I knew your mother loved my elder brother so much, so I had to take care of him."

"You killed your own brother?!" I gasped out of shock.

"Don't talk to me bitch!" Mr Valentine yelled at me, making me to flinch. I never knew Mr Valentine could swear.

"I wanted to marry your mother at all cost, even though I was aware that I had a four years old son with my secret lover no one knew about." Mr Valentine continued. I looked at Daniel, it was obvious that he was the four years old child Mr Valentine, was talking about. "When my brother died, your mother had no choice but to marry me. She thought it would make her feel closer to my brother if she married me. Before three weeks to our wedding, I noticed a change in your mother. We both went to the hospital, and the doctor confirmed her four weeks pregnant. I haven't touched her, so it won't take a genius to know that your Mum was pregnant for my brother."

Mr Valentine, looked at Genesis, and so did I. Genesis eyes were blood shot and all I wanted to do was to hold him in my arms, irrespective of our misunderstanding.

"That child she was carrying for my brother, was you." Mr Valentine pointed at Genesis. "After our wedding, and since she was carrying another man's child, I decided to tell her about mine. She wasn't angry cause it was obvious that she wasn't in love with me. She told me to go back to the mother of my child even after I pleaded with her for me to stay. I took Daniel away from his mother, and brought him to your mother. When your mother saw him, she was so angry. She told me straight to my face, that she could not mother a child that still had his mother. So I took fate into my own hands, I killed Tiratu, Daniel's mother."

"This man is a devil," Chidinma commented. I could not say a word, so I just nodded my head at her comment.

"I went back to your mother and told her that Tiratu was killed by unknown men. Your mother felt pity over little Daniel, and took him like her own son." Mr Valentine continued, as he stood up from his seat and began to walk back and forth. "On the night you were born, Genesis. Your mother brought in a lawyer, and willed every single property to you. She decided to seal some properties, and let me work in the unlock ones, until you become of age. And when I asked her of Daniel's," Mr Valentine stopped to scoff. "She said and I quote, 'That will be left for my son, Genesis, to decide. If he finds Daniel worthy, then he could give him a property or maybe two'."

I looked at Daniel who was clenching his fist, before looking back at his father.

"Since your mother decided to be difficult, I decided on a plan. Plan to get all the properties to myself. Then let Daniel my son, inherit them after I'm dead." I shook my head at that. "When Genesis was eight years old, his mum started taking him to music classes. And one day, I decided to put my plans into action. So I made the break in her car faulty, when no one was looking."

That's when I remembered the time Musa, told Chidinma and I, about Genesis' mother's death.

"You killed my mother!" Genesis yelled, as he tried to launch at Mr Valentine. The police men got hold of Genesis, before he could do something nasty. "Let me go!" Genesis tried to escape.

"Yes I did," Mr Valentine said, without even feeling remorse about what he said he did to Genesis' biological parents. "But it didn't go according to plan, cause for some stupid reason, you survived!" Mr Valentine yelled at Genesis. "When Itoro started working here, I became extra nice to her. I also made you to get close to her so you could fall in love with her. When I noticed my plans were working, I decided to kill her. Killing her would have made you miserable, and that was the only way to get to you."

"You really did send those men after Itoro," Genesis said out in shock.

"And when I found out that Itoro was still alive," Mr Valentine continued, ignoring Genesis' outburst. "I sent Andrew to rape her. That was another way to make you Genesis, feel like your world just crumbled."

"You're a sick old man!" Genesis yelled.

"Why isn't he talking about Anita and her death?" I asked the officer in charge.

The officer looked at me, "Cause he didn't kill her."

"Who did?" Genesis asked, trying to control his anger.

"I did," We heard an angry voice say. We all turned to see Daniel stepping forward, with both hands clenched by his side. "My dad was doing things against his nature, so I decided to monitor him. I saw when he was talking to the Anita lady, and decided to eavesdrop. He paid Anita to act like your biological mother, and also paid a doctor to work out the result. But I decided to pay people that matters at the hospital, to change the doctor. When the results came out negative, I knew Anita would confess the truth. But I had a backup plan."

Daniel looked at me for a second, before he continued. "I went out to call the police, but my boys were already at the hospital, to pretend to be the police before the real ones got there." Daniel looked at the officer, "They pretended to be the police and took her away. And that's how my boys killed her."

"Why didn't you let her confess!" I yelled at Daniel.

"Cause I didn't wanted to expose my father!" Daniel yelled back. "After father recently told me what your greedy mother did," He pointed at Genesis, "I regretted helping you guys. If I would go back in time, I would have let that car kidnap you Itoro." He said to me, then turned to Genesis, "I would have killed you myself!"

The officer clapped his hands, as if he just finished watching an interesting drama. "Mr Ozoh Valentine, and Mr Daniel Valentine. You both are under arrest for both murder and attempted murder. You have the right to remain silent, cause anything you say could or would be used against you in court."

"I'm not going anywhere, until I do this!" Mr Valentine yelled, as I watched him pulled out a gun from Panda's pocket, and aimed it at Genesis when he wasn't looking. I watched in horror and ran towards Genesis to warn him. I stood right in front of him as I heard gun shots. I turned to look at Mr Valentine and immediately, felt sharp pains on my stomach. I was shot. Twice.

I gasped in horror, as I placed my hands on my stomach. "Itoro!" I heard Genesis called, but his voice felt distant. "Itoro please, do not close your eyes." Genesis pleaded.

"But I'm feeling sleepy," I tried to tell him. "I'm just going to close my eyes for some minutes."

"No Itoro, please. Do not clo__" But before I could listen to what Genesis was about to say, my eyes began to drop. Next thing I knew, I was consumed with darkness.
