Kiara's Point of View: It's now July and I'm currently 19 now. Opening my eyes I look towards the window seeing the sun shining through the blinds. I smile and get ready for the day, after taking care of myself I look through the closet and picked myself an outfit. I wasn't going all out really since it's just gonna be a laid back fun day. I go to the bathroom and look at my piercings and my tattoos and my outfits and honestly look cute.

Harper takes control and speaks in the mirror. "Damn right we do."

She twirls in the mirror.

River huffs and speaks to Harper. "stop spinning us it's annoying."

They bicker back and forth giving me a headache. Ocean helps me out. "Girls, come on we have to go downstairs."

Me and my counterparts have been getting very close. I'm so used to them now that I'm able to control all of them like a second skin. When I talk to them or they are in control my eyes change color in a weird way. Like a mix of bluish brown.It's like a mixture of both of my parents and honestly I love it dearly. While walking down the stairs I see Coco coming out of her room looking bad as hell too, now you know that's bestie right there.

"BESTIE!!" I roll my eyes wondering why she is so loud in the morning.

"Have you seen the twins?"

Shaking her head she explains. "I think the twins and Amera are downstairs eating breakfast come on let's go."

She drags me into the kitchen and when I'm there I see my twins looking gorgeous as ever. Reminding me of how much of a growth spurt they had in only 2 years. They also were very sassy with the mouth but I let it slide seeing they embrace it themselves. I turn and see them talking to Amera who was looking great.

The fact that Amera is 14 years old and that the twins are 12 now and seeing them advance mentally and physically makes me laugh in shock and happiness. Amera, Lovely, and Joy run up to me and Coco and hug us both.

"SIS GOOD MORNING!!"

I give them hugs and kisses then I see Winter coming downstairs with the twins holding her hand. Over the 2 years she has learned to accept their advances and she also became more outspoken but she still is a soft speaker and shy. I look at her outfit and notice it suits her and her personality. She breaks apart from the twins embrace and hugs us and whispers.

"Goodmorning."

We hug her back and tell the same. Then I see SunFlower walking down the steps.

"Mornin! Dad and the adults said he has something to announce tonight at dinner."

She explains hugging all of us.

Amera asks. "well what are they telling us? Do you think it's important or not?"

Before she can answer Rain came down the stairs answering for her in her own outfit.

"Hey y'all I don't know how important it is but it must be when I saw my dad whispering with mom last night about it and how serious it is. But let's not worry about that, let's go to the beach today. Us girls are having a girls day."

Jamal comes down the stairs, "then you girls go we're gonna chill. We are tired of seeing your faces everyday."

SunFlower glares at him,
. "Sleep on the couch then tonight since having bro day is so important."

She drags us out the house hearing Lake's,Silas and Brian's laughter makes us snicker.While at the beach we all went to the changing room and came out looking sexy.

The girls play in the water while we older ones sit down on the beach and talk. Winter sits next to me and lays her head on my shoulder.

"Why don't you have a mate?" I wasn't expecting that question and honestly it took me off guard.

Giving a sigh I tell them my story, fully, to the beginning of my birthday morning to ending up becoming the most embarrassing day of my life. Rain hugs me and pulls away.

" Is that why you barely celebrate your birthday?"

SunFlower joins in. "And that's why every time we celebrate it you start tensing up like that?"

I nod my head ever since that day I hated my birthday. Feeling like it was a reminder of how I failed as a mate.

Ocean emerges from my head.

Your not a failure, you tried and played your part. It takes people to tango and when in a relationship everyone has to meet the other halfway. Since they didn't it's their loss. And you have us.

With River and Harper agreeing I relax. "Alright enough of the sappy stuff let's go in the water.

We go from water fights to dunking water on each other to making sandcastles and burying our body in sand. Afterwards we put back on the clothes we had earlier go to the carnival and have a fun time. We ride on all the rides and played the mini games. And I think Coco almost threw up on a rollercoaster, I was surprised to see Winter holding up better than Coco. Then we go home singing sza, kehlani, Normani, and other r&b.

Parking the car I step out seeing everyone at the dinner table.

Mom greets us. "How was your girls day? Must have been awesome. I smell the beach from your clothes."

Amera looks up from her phone. "It was hella fun!"

"Amera I told you about the language." He said as he scolds her.

Amera apologizes then goes back on her phone while James sighs in exasperation.

Kacy laughs."Honey you should know that all girls her age have an addiction to their electronics it's normal."

Lake speaks up, "So dad wants so important that you had to tell us?"

Dad speaks up and looks at me. "Kiara remember 2 years ago the moon godess came and said that the tournament is being held in no mans land? It's this year."

Nodding my head for him to continue, He elaborated. "The tournament consists of all packs across America and is at least 2 months long. So while at no man's land all packs will bring their contestants and have them live in the houses made for their pack."

Nodding again not understanding where this is going. He then hesitantly continues. "All the packs will be there
... even your old pack Kiara."

I sit back in my chair annoyed.

Why again? I left for a reason!!

I didn't noticed I was zoned out until Joy screams. "I DON'T WANNA SEE THAT PACK ANYMORE!!"

Lovely pushes her chair and runs upstairs without saying anything and Joy follows after.

Mom looks at us and then Dad. "Imma go calm the girls you guys finish up." Then she goes up the stairs to calm the girls.

Dad explains further. "Also the ancient and New council will be the judges for the competition. We will be packing tonight so by a week later we'll already be there." He then sighs. "I know I dropped this on you 3 but in time it won't be so bad."

He kisses me, Coco, and Winter's head and goes upstairs to sleep. James and Kacy do the same and send condolences to us while the rest of us look at me and my quiet reaction. Silas finally breaks the silence. "Are you ok?"

I chuckle humorlessly.

"Should I be? I don't even know." I rolled my eyes sarcastically to myself. "I'm going to start packing. Sleep well."

I went upstairs and as I went into my room I felt like I was crumbling. Shutting the door softly I walk to the dresser drawers and start opening bags and placing my clothes in them.  River then says a question that's mainly on our minds.

"Do you think our mates will recognize us?"

Harper snaps at her. "They lied, cheated, and used us. Why should we worry about them."

Ocean comes in between them. "They may be our mates and they did use us. At the same time we belong to them as they do to us."

River and Harper snap at her irritated. "SO WHO SIDE IS YOU ON?!"

They start bickering and I just shut them out. As I continue to shove random clothes into the bags irritatedly.

"It's your birthday right?"

"I never forgot it... since we were kids I've never forgot any thing about you."

Liar.

"We should give our mate a present then."

"You choose her!! When you have a mate right here!!"

"We'll marry her and she'll have our heirs-"

"CODY!!"

"What the hell is your problem?! Do you even love her?!"

"Yes."

Betrayer.

"I, Cody Miles Reject Kiara Storm as my mate and Luna."

"I, Kadin Miles Reject Kiara Storm as my mate and Luna."

My vision blurred as I remembered the electricuting pain that shot through my body.

My speeding heart couldn't take it anymore as I felt tear drops fall from my face and onto my hands that were gripping the bags.

LIARS! CHEATS!

"You promised!"

I kicked the dresser, denting half of it and the hinges falling off. The memories rushed through my head. Each one more painful than the other.

"You don't have to keep crying anymore." Cody awkwardly wiped my tears. "We will be there for you. So stop being a baby."

A eager Kadin jumped from behind his elder brother and beamed at her brightly. "Right!" He then gently bend down next to her. Handing her a cookie he smiled softly. "So just rely on us alright?"

"Promise?"

They nodded as they each gave her their own smile.

"Of course."

I felt another tear fall down my eye as my body laid on the bed. Tired and drained. I covered myself in my blankets shielding myself from the coldness in my heart.
