I sat at the back of Father's car, as he swiftly drove into this expensive looking compound. The compound was so huge and set in the middle, was a very big building.
Dad pulled over and parked his car in the mist of eight different expensive cars. Dad angrily got down from his car, leaving mum and I in it.
Mum turned at the passenger seat to look at me, before getting down. I watched from the window, to see how mum tried to calm dad's rage down.
"I'm so confuse," I muttered to myself. "What has Tatiana done to her people?"
I swallowed the lump in my throat, before getting down from the car. Father swung his body, to glare at me. Who was more scary? The man in front of me, or mother back home?
"You this stupid and stubborn child," Dad's eyes became red, as he pointed his fingers at me. I saved myself, by moving a step backward.
"You won't give me a bad name in this town. First it was__"
"Come on now, Monday." Mother stopped father from saying whatever he wanted to say. "Monday, your daughter just came back from the hospital. Let her go inside and have some rest."
Father tried to even his breath, then took his wife's advice. "Make sure you have all the rest you could think of, cause you're going to school first thing tomorrow morning."
"Eh?!" I blurted out. "Tomorrow?"
"Tatiana, shh." Mother tried to shush me up.
Abeg no dey call me that name?!
I so wish I could say that out loud, but I just couldn't. I wasn't ready to receive a hot slap. Looking at the man in front of me, I was certain he wouldn't hesitate to give me a painful slap as a warning.
"I'll be inside," I mumbled, then walked into the unknown mansion without acknowledging father.
I pushed the double French door, before stepping into a furnished living room.
Man, being rich sure is great.
A chubby looking lady quickly rushed to my side. Before I could blink twice, she started accessing my body.
What is wrong with everyone in this town?
"Tatiana," She gasped, still accessing my body. "Please tell me you're okay."
"I'm fine," I replied dryly. After accessing to see that I've got only minor injuries, she patted me gently on my shoulder.
"You scared the living day light out of everyone." She gave me a pity smile. "The servants were all so worried."
Servants? As in plural?
"You know we're like your family, right?" I nodded my head. I thought it wise to shut up, before I'd say something stupid. "Your room had been cleared and prepared, just the way you like it."
"My room?" I asked as I pointed at my chin and crane my neck forward, out of habit.
"Come on," The lady held my hands and led me up the many stairs. Reaching upstairs, we began to strode down a lobby. Soon, the lady stopped in front of a door. A door which I presumed must be the entrance to Tatiana's room.
She got hold of the knob and twisted it to the side. The door opened, and I could see the inside of the room. Servants could be seen cleaning the furniture which was placed in the really big and girlish room.
The walls of the room were painted white, with pinkish decorations here and there. Tatiana also had a big white princess bed, with sets of pink fluffy pillows and a white comfy bedspread. Her pink thick comforter was also neatly placed on the bed.
"Gosh, it feels like a unicorn just vomited in here." I blurted out. Gosh, I do nothing but blurt out my thoughts.
The lady which I still don't know her name, turned to gaze at me. "You don't like it miss Tatiana? But this are your favorite colours."
Pink, was never my favorite colour.
"I love it," I smiled sarcastically at the lady. "I love it when Unicorn throw up in my room."
"Miss Ebun," A maid wearing a maid outfit ran towards the lady beside me.
Oh, her name is Ebun.
"Yes Gift?" Ebun turned to the maid. "Any problem?"
"We're done making the meals for master and madam," Gift informed Ebun. "We just need you to access them."
Ebun looked at Gift in confusion. "But you girls have been doing fine without me."
"Ah," Gift opened her mouth. "Oga is super harsh today o."
"I wonder why," I rolled my eyes, which made Gift to chuckle. Ebun sent a glare her way, before looking back at me.
"Tatiana," Ebun began. "You always know the right words to say. Please, don't let your parents witness your disrespectful come backs." Ebun patted me once more, before walking out of my room.
They ain't my parents.
I jumped on the girlish bed and rested my head on the comfy pillows.
Ah, this is life.
Compared to my kpako foam at home, this bed was heavenly. I closed my eyes and let the sleep take me away.

Knock!
Knock!!
Knock!!!
I rolled on my bed with a loud groan. I got up and strode to the door.
Once I had opened the door, I peeped out to see who it was. It turned out to be Gift, one of the maids from earlier.
"Hmm?" I sounded. I was to lazy to speak.
"Um... Miss Tatiana," I nodded, still too lazy to speak. "Your mother wanted to know if you're ready?"
"Ready for what?" I yawned with my mouth wide open. Gift stepped back a bit and I wouldn't blame her. I'd got the worst morning breath ever.
"School, ma'am." She tried to maintain her features.
"I thought that was tomorrow?" I asked with knitted brows.
"It's a brand new day," Gift stretched her hands and pointed at something behind me. I followed the directions of her finger, and realised it was Tatiana's fancy alarm clock. I couldn't see from far, so I had to squint my eyes before I could see the time.
6 : 30am
"Shit, today is tomorrow!" I blurted out. And then the flashes came back. After I had had my afternoon nap yesterday, I woke up towards the evening time to have my dinner. Mother had told me the time I was meant to get ready for school, which was six on the dot. While dad had personally warned me to not be late.
Gift stared at me in a confuse manner, before muttering out. "I don't know what that mean but, you need to get ready." Gift then leaned forward and whispered into my ears. "Your mother would be here any minute."
Which kind life?!
"Thank you," I mumbled, then close the door behind me. I rubbed my left eye, as I staggered my way to the bathroom. I quickly showered and after that, brushed my teeth.
Coming out of the bathroom, I wrapped Tatiana's big white towel around my chest and the smaller pink one, to dry my wet hair. I moved over to her wardrobe to see ironed and neatly placed outfit in it.
I let my fingers wrap what I believed must be Tatiana's uniform. It was a complete set of uniform, and imprinted on the black jacket was the word 'Blossom High School'.
High school ke?
I laughed a little as I remembered when Judith and I, snuck out of the house just to watch High School Musical. We were so young back then, good old days.
Gosh, I miss that girl. Wondering what she'd be doing now.
I quickly wore the uniform, grasped the backpack resting below a reading table, and then stepped out of my room.
Walking down the stairs, I noticed as the maids moved at every which way, just to make sure everything was in order.
Dad was sitting at the edge of the dinner table, holding a daily newspaper. On his dinner mat, was a teacup resting on a saucer. Beside the teacup and saucer, was five toasted bread.
Mum on the other side, was sitting close to dad, on his right hand side. Her eyes was fixated on the tablet she was holding. And it felt like her eyes weren't ready to leave the screen.
"How should I say this?" I mumbled to myself.
Morning mama, morning papa?
"No," I shook my head. "That's too local."
Morning sir, morning ma?
"Still no," I scratched the back of my head. "They are Tatiana's parents, and not her boss or something."
Morning daddy, morning mummy?
"Still needs a little work," I bit my lower lip, as I tried to think.
"Tatiana, what are you doing standing there like some statue?" Dad's voice brought me out of my trance.
I snapped my head at dad's way, "Morning dad, morning mum." See, that wasn't hard. I moved to the dinner table, and sat close to dad but on the left hand side, opposite mother.
"How was your night dearie?" Mother tried to start up a conversation.
"It was__"
"Ebun!" Dad shouted. Ebun rushed towards us and stood beside dad with a slight bow. "Get the maids to serve Tatiana her breakfast."
Ebun nodded her head and rushed back to the kitchen. Soon, maids started rushing to my side to drop series dishes, such as; toasted bread, pancakes, scrambled eggs and a cup of tea.
This my people, is life. God punish poverty.
"Eat fast!" I flinched at dad's words. Why he was so harsh towards me or should I say Tatiana, was still a mystery to me. "So Abiola would take you to school."
School, a nicer way to describe a hell hole. Just hope this school isn't filled with rich spoilt kids and most especially, drama.
Eddy : Someone should break it to Uyai, that Blossom High School is the definition of DramaΒ and there's no escaping it. *Laughs evily*
