What's going on?
My mind was like its own roller coaster. I knew not T from anywhere, but her words were so drawn to me. It was like a magnet pulling me.
I tried T's number for the seventh times, but it was still redirecting me to that computer type voice.
Beep! Beep!
My phone lit up again. I looked down at the screen and realized it was a message from T. She had sent me a meet up message and also giving me the address.
God, what's this girl's problem? Hope say she never commit?
I decided to call my flashy best friend Judith, for some advice. How funny of me to think that someone like Judith, would give me some reasonable advice. But I was to desperate to care.
"Judith in the house yo! Watin dey sup?" That was Judith's unique way of saying hello.
"Abeg calm down," I said to her. "I just need your help."
"Money no dey o, your girl don broke finish." I rolled my eyes upon listening to Judith's rants.
"Judith, 'I need your help' isn't a codded way of saying I need money." I mentally face palmed myself.
Judith chuckled on the phone, "Oh that's true. You've got that your lesbian benefactor to sustain you."
"Dude she's not a lesbian. And that's offensive coming from you!" I snapped. Judith should have had a little respect for T.
"Abeg no dey shout," Judith warned me, with every trace of amusement totally gone. "Watin dey sup?"
And that's when I told Judith about T's weird message and also the address she'd sent to me not too long ago.
"You need my advice?" Judith yawned out of boredom. I frowned at her inability to pretend to even care. "Don't go. She might be a psycho serial killer for all I care."
"You think so?" I asked with concern evidence in my tone.
"I know so," Judith concluded. "Now, be a sweetheart and use that phone of yours to hunt rich cool dudes."
"I'm not a tiger," I deadpanned.
"And you ain't rich." Judith ended the call at that, not giving me room to fire back at her.
I sighed and hit my head repeatedly on the wooden table. T was going to be the death of me.
I stared at the screen of my phone as I scanned through T's message over and over again. I tried ignoring the message, I tried following Judith's advice. But my conscience wouldn't let me.
T had been good to me and it wouldn't be nice to repay her with wickedness, irrespective of her request.
I sighed and got up from my already lifeless couch, and strode into the one room I was sharing with my younger sister, Idara. I walked over to my Ghana must go, and pulled out my baggy crazy jean and a white sleeveless top. I pulled off my current clothes and quickly wore the ones I brought out from the Ghana must go.
I walked over to my broken mirror and looked at my small frame. At least, I was looking presentable. I grasped my backpack and rushed out of the room.
I guess Judith's advice would just have to wait.

I stood on the bridge T, had asked to meet up. She was twenty minutes late and I was beginning to get impatient. To while away my time, I looked down at the river and watched a man as he paddled on his canoe. Cars and trucks, were zooming behind me. But I was save, cause where I stood, were restricted to only passersby.
Godforbid to this girl sha.
Feeling frustrated, I swung my body to the other direction, ready to leave. But the sight in front of me, glued me to the ground.
I wasn't imagining things that night. I wasn't hallucinating. My brain definitely weren't planning tricks on me. I actually saw it, I actually saw myself staring back at me.
But just like before, she felt - no looked like the better version.
Her natural hair was as full as mine, but unlike mine that was flying at every which way, her's were neatly styled upwards, bringing out the shape of her face. Her makeup just like before, was way prettier than my messed up rushed ones. She was putting on a jean lap length flair skirt, which she had tuck-in her white long sleeve.
Now that I thought about it, our dress colours rhymed. She stared at me without saying any words, while I stared back with opened mouth and stunned eyes.
Have I started drinking?
I've never drank any alcohol before in my life, but it didn't stop me from questioning myself.
"I__" The girl in front of me began, then stopped. She looked down at her expensive looking sneakers, and then shook her head slightly. After keeping silent for a while, she lifted her head again, to look at me. "I didn't know how to gain your attention."
"Wait," I prompted her to stop talking. "You've been here the whole time?"
She nodded, but said nothing.
"Who are you?" I asked, "Are you my........ Clone?" Well, what do you expect from a girl whom had watched the American series, 'Orphan Black'.
"I'm___"
"Are you T, my lesbians benefactor?" I immediately cut my self off, but it was too late. I had already used Judith's words on her. "Sorry, that was offensive."
"Yes I'm Tatiana," T replied with a nod. "And I'm not a lesbian, but I'm your sister."
I looked at her with a confused gaze. "Sis__ What?"
"___ Ter." Completed Tatiana. "I'm your twin. And I need your help."
"W-Wait," I wanted her to shut up, I wanted her to stop playing with my head. "Are you drunk?"
Tatiana seemed to be someone with little or no words, as she stared at me with confused gaze.
"We can't be twins," I pointed it out for her. "I've got my family, and so do you. We might look alike, but that doesn't mean we are twins. We might just be two completely different individuals that look exactly alike. There's a seventy percent chance that you might come across someone that looks exactly like you."
"Mum had twins when she went into labour sixteen years ago," Tatiana spoke up, ignoring the logic's I had suffered to spit out. "But the medical report declared one missing, which was my younger sister."
I thought it was wise to flow with her false story. "That's me right?"
Tatiana nodded. "I've been looking for you for two years now, luckily for me, I saw you at the beach party which a friend hosted. It broke my heart when I decided to follow you in the shadows and saw the hardship life you were living."
"In a nutshell," I wanted her to hit the nail on the head, not because I wanted to sound rude, but because my legs were aching me from standing for too long.
"I need your help, which involves being me." She paused her lips. "I feel someone wants me dead, and you being the stronger twin, I want you to help me protect myself."
"You make no sense," I said to her, same time digesting everything she'd just said. "Your life is in danger and you want me to risk my own life for watin, you?! As per what? Jesus Christ?"
"No," She said calmly and shook her head sideways. "As my younger sister."
This girl was making me run mad. "Calm down," I stopped her from speaking any further. "Just because you gave me expensive gifts, doesn't mean I'm gonna watch myself die, while you live. I no be Jesus. My love for you no strong reach say make I die for you."
Tatiana surprisingly, chuckled at my words. But her chuckles sounded sad and forced. "I've done some horrible things in the past, that even seeing myself live, would be a sin. I'm not planning to spare my life, I just want you to act like me. And not just for me, but for mum and dad."
She took two pace forward, "It would be a sad and horrible thing for mum and dad, to see their surviving daughter die, by throwing herself off of a Lagos bridge. They know nothing about you. You'll just be me, enjoying the life of being rich. Please Uyai, do this for me."
"What's this talk about you throwing yourself off of a bridge?" That was the only thing I could grasp in her nonsense and boring speech.
instead of answering my question, Tatiana held the metal that protects passersby from falling off the bridge, and gently climbed on top of it, till she arrived at the smooth concrete edge.
"You dey mad?!" I yelled at her, as my eyes went wide. "Get down before you die!" Ignoring me yet again, Tatiana closed her eyes and took in deep breath.
This girl is running mad.
I carelessly climbed the bridge, which prompted Tatiana to open her eyes, to look at me.
"What the hell her you doing?!" She shrieked.
"Person dey work you?" I directed my anger at her.
Tatiana began to panic. "You need to get down from here, now!"
"And watch you die?" I shrugged and stared at her in an unbelievable manner. "Auntie, abeg come down."
Tatiana began to calculate her steps, as she walked towards me. "It isn't safe, Uyai." She placed her hands on my shoulders. "You might hurt yourself."
"Then climb down with me," I held her shoulders too. I tried to force her to go down, and so did she. There wasn't any passersby insight at the moment, that could help me stop Tatiana from killing herself, and the stupid trucks and car drivers, couldn't stop cause there were in a highway.
Still struggling with Tatiana on the bridge, I took a wrong footing, which forced me to see myself falling off of the bridge.
"Uyai!" Tatiana yelled, as she stretched her hands towards me, but she couldn't get hold of mine. "Uyai!"
Splash!
My body forcefully hit the waters. But before the water could swallow me at a whole, I saw Tatiana jumped off of the bridge, hoping to rescue me.
I watched as my body went deep into the waters. I couldn't swim. I knew I would regret not learning how to swim, when Judith forced my lazy ass to her rich ex boyfriend father's swim club. I've been quoting that if God wanted to cover the earth with water again, I wouldn't be able to swim, to save my life.
I guess this was it. I never knew I would die at the age of sixteen, but I just had to embrace fate.
Still sinking into the salty river, I closed my eyes and spread both hands apart, as I tried to hold as much breath as I could. But lack of energy was making me dizzy, and I began to loose consciousness.
Eddy : So, I'm thinking of where to spend my Easter. Parlor or bedroom?
What do you think would happen to Uyai? Most importantly, what would happen to Tatiana?
