Hey guys, here's a new chapter. Decided to cut my break short, all thanks to the lot that moved into my DM with nice and encouraging words. Just couldn't mention them all.

Today's gonna be a double update because I couldn't update last week.

Above is a picture of Femi,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ยฐJeremiah's POVยฐ

Today, I went to school quite early cause of Jasper's case. Jasper happened to be the Ss2 Art student I decided to take in as my school ward.

My driver pulled over into the school premises and I got down in no time. The sky wasn't fully bright cause it was only twenty minutes passed six. I hung my backpack on one shoulder, as I found my way to the principal's office.

"Morning sir," I bowed a bit after walking into the office. Jasper could be seen with a small cut on his right cheek, while the other boy had a black eye. I furrowed my brows a bit when I saw Miss Boma. Miss Boma was the school's vice principal, though I was quite sure her presence here wouldn't make matters less worse.

"Jeremiah, it's early, what are you doing here?" The principal asked, as a respond to my greetings.

"Jasper," I replied, looking at Jasper's way. "He's my responsibility."

Both Miss Boma, the principal and even Jasper furrowed their brows at me. The principal then shook his head disapprovigly. "Your ward over there, happens to be quite troublesome. And he was never like that!"

"I know," I agreed with the principal. I've known Jasper for a pretty long time, though we weren't close. I saw how he acted towards his friends with so much love. I saw how he welcomed new members into the swim team, with a huge smile on his face. But there was just one thing that triggered him. "I'm sure he has a reason. He only gets angry when being triggered."

Jasper being stubborn has always, folded his arms with a frown plastered on his face. "I'll take his punishments on his behalf."

Jasper stared at me looking all stunned and confused. He slowly unfolded his arms, as he cleared his throat.

"I will too," Miss Boma voiced out all of a sudden.

The principal felt cornered. The vice principal was also pleading on Jasper's behalf. I knew so well the principal won't punish his vice.

"You're lucky today," The principal used his pointing finger to point at Jasper and the other boy with a black eye. But next time this occurs, you'd be expelled. Get out of my office both of you!"

The other boy rushed out of the office, while Jasper surprisingly took his time. I thanked the principal once more for being considerate, before walking out with the vice principal. Out of the principal's office, I noticed the other boy was long gone, leaving Jasper standing alone at the lobby.

"Can I have a word with you, Jeremiah?" The vice principal asked. I wanted to go check out how Jasper was feeling, but I guess he could wait. I nodded my head slowly, and told Jasper to stay put.

Miss Boma, moved me six paces away from Jasper, before speaking. "Thank you." Her voice was barely above a whisper. "I know I'm the curse of his anger. I'm well... I'm...." I said nothing. I wasn't in any rush. "I'm marrying his father."

I was shocked, to be honest. Though I knew the word that normally triggered Jasper, I never knew Miss Boma would be a part of it. Though Jasper was my ward, I wasn't ready to start meddling into his family's business.

"Jasper just needs understanding," I said to her. "And also a way to contain his anger."

Miss Boma nodded her head with a soft sigh. "You chose to be his guardian, why?" She narrowed her eyes out of curiosity.

I shrugged nonchalantly. Jasper was a kid after my own heart, to be honest. There was this special act he portrays, which made people love him even more. But he had anger issues when being triggered and that was something he needed to get rid of. "He seems lost, that's all."

Miss Boma rubbed the back of her neck. "Any ways, thanks a lot."

I nodded and watched as she walked off, before moving over to Jasper.

"What happened?" I asked dryly, as Jasper placed his phone in his side pocket.

"Nothing," He responded with less enthusiasm.

"I repeat myself again, Jasper." I said harshly this time. "What happened?"

Jasper stared up the ceiling with a frustrated sigh. "David was getting on my nerves while making fun of my dead mother. I had to do what I had to do. I promised him I'll beat him up."

Jasper had a sad look he was trying so hard not to show. Like I said, I knew his trigger point. But that doesn't mean punching and hitting someone, would solve things. I wanted him to feel a lot better, so I said the one thing I was quite sure would make him smile.

"Did you win?" I lifted a brow at Jasper. Jasper slowly lowered his head to stare at me.

"Of course I did," He said proudly. "Didn't you see his black eye?"

"Great to hear that," I placed a hand on his shoulder. "But violence solve nothing." I reminded him of the fact, right after I had shoved my right hand into my pocket, to bring out a small bandage.

"You had that with you the whole time?" I nodded and handed the bandage over to him.

"Waking up at six in the morning to have a call from you being engaged in a fight, only meant bloody faces." I watched as he placed the bandage across his cut cheek.

"Why'd you call?" I decided to ask. Jasper had made it clear he never wanted a Guardian. So seeing his call this morning surprised me.

"I..... I was scared okay!" Jasper replied truthfully. "I actually thought I would get expelled."

I couldn't help but chuckle. Only a few had ever made me laugh. My parents, uncle Okon, Felix, Dami, Uyai and now Jasper. I ruffled his curly hair with my fingers. He was like the little brother I had always wanted.

"We'll learn how to control that anger of yours." Jasper nodded, but said nothing. I reached for my backpack, opened the smaller compartment and brought out my wallet. Once I had opened my wallet, I brought a one thousand naira note. I knew Jasper wasn't poor and I also knew he had money with him. But it was better if his money was excess, than not being enough. I knew with him being in a bad mood, he was likely to spend much. "Here."

"What for?" Jasper asked, looking at my hand. "I don't need your money."

I just shoved it into his side pocket. Jasper had drained my energy. I needed to rest and not talk. "Go back to class and make no troubles. If you do, I won't help you."

"You have to," Jasper said immediately. "You're my guardian."

"So you acknowledge me as one," I gave a sincere laugh. "Go to class, Jasper."

Jasper shoved his hands into his pocket and brought out the naira note I had kept in it. "Thanks for the K."

I waited as he turned towards his class direction, before heading over to mine. Once at my class, I moved over to my seat and placed my head on my desk. Jasper was going to be the death of me. I let the sleep overthrow me, since I was too tired to mind.

My eyes fluttered twice, as the classroom began to get noisy as more students began to arrive.

"Jeremiah?" Dami's voice finally woke me up. I lifted my head up to gaze at him, prompting him to burst out into a fit of laughter. "You're quite early today."

He was right. I would have been having breakfast by this time. I sighed and sat up straight. "Jasper."

"The new ward of yours that was fighting at the hallway the other day?" Dami asked and I nodded. "The bond between you and that boy____"

"Is same with that of you and the little crippled we met at the ghetto. Have you told your dad yet?" I decided to switch the topic. Talking about Jasper might increase my headache.

Dami sat on his seat and placed his backpack in his desk locker. "Dad needs to see him first with his eyes. My sister already has a soft spot for him, since she suffered the same condition."

"I hope your dad agrees," I said to him. The little boy was in need of a better life. Child services weren't that serious in my country, so it was possible that the little crippled wouldn't find a better home. I laid my head down, so I could rest some more.

"Why on earth would the school let a murderer show her face yet again at this school?" I groaned inwardly. I needed some few sleep, without Blossom High's girlish dispute. I swear, there was never a quiet day since I started this school during Jss class. The school needed to change their name from Blossom High School, to Drama High School. "And why on earth are they still letting her hold the head girl position?!"

"Says the person dating one," My head sprinted up. That voice wasn't hers, I could tell with just one sound of her voice. "Your ass must be jealous of all the shit that comes out of your mouth." And she definitely wasn't good at comebacks. Not one bit.

"I killed no one and you're aware of that, imposter!" I rolled my eyes at Femi's lame and pitiful speech. Dami stood up, ready to go put Femi in his place. But I held his upper arm and told him not to interrupt.

"Roses are red, violet are blue. I have five fingers, the middle one's for you." I watch as she stretched out her right middle finger at Femi's face.

Rosemary rushed to Femi and pulled him towards her. "Come on Femi, let's let the murderer be." She held Femi securely, as they both found their way out of the classroom.

Though I sat still, doesn't mean I wasn't surprise. I watched as she lowered her head to mumble some few words that no one could comprehend, before turning over to her friends.

Looking at her friends shocked face, she decided to brush Rosemary and Femi's action off. "Guys, just forget about Rosemary. My middle finger also gets a boner whenever I see her fake ass attitude."

Okay that's it!

I got up from my desk, same with Dami. I decided to study her a bit, so it won't look like I was jumping into conclusion. Before anyone could protest, my arms wrapped around her wrist and I lead her out of the class and down the stairs, passing Jasper and his group of friends in the process.

Once at the love garden, I swayed her to the front so she could face both me and the gang that decided to tag along.

"What happened back there?" Irene asked, feeling speechless.

"Did you study Tatianatology over night?" Omonigho demanded with surprised gaze.

I stared at Tatiana, wondering where the hell Uyai was, and hoping if she was safe.

"No one can study Tatianatology," Dami replied, once he had figured out whom the person standing in front of him was.

I watched as she opened her mouth to speak. But one look at Jubilee, shut her up. I pressed my lips as she bent her head low, with that I knew she wouldn't open her mouth to voice out her identity. I exhaled slowly and decided to help her out with it.

"You ain't Uyai."

Eddy : Sorry guys for not updating, decided to take a break after my rants. I decided to cut it short, after reading the comments and Dms sent by you guys.

Below is a screenshot I took after I had received the Dm which caused me to take a break.

Yeah, I decided to cover the user's name so he/she won't receive any hate.

It's okay to voice your opinion guys, there's always room for improvement. But choose your words wisely.

I'm gonna stop showing out my word count, since a lot normally use it to Judge a chapter.

So that's it guys. Remember, it's gonna be a double update (Enjoy it while it last, it's rare for me to update twice)

Stay tune for next update.

Till next time,

Much love,

X
